Relax, beautiful, staff friendly and helpful.
Decent stay for a casino or golf.
View of air conditioners that were running 24 hours a day. Loud sound for a balcony view. Didn't spend much time on the balcony due to the noise and the view. Couldn't leave balcony door open due to sound running constantly. Make sure you ask what you're getting a view of ? Wifi is an extra cost in some rooms
Multiple restaurant , native Indian decors and kiva fireplace in the bedroom oh yeah the balcony to enjoy the views.
Lack of shuttles to museum and plaza
The rooms we had were great and amazing for the price. Everything was clean and the facilities at the hotel were great. The dining was just varied enough and easy to get into. My server was top notch and went out of his way without being asked, to locate the tortillas that were used to make the chips because of an allergy concern. Bravo!
The only thing I did not like was the downstairs casino. It could use some more air scrubbers to circulate and clean the air. It really smelled so bad we had to leave it after only a couple minutes.
The room was beautiful and the staff was friendly. Price was quite affordable and less than I would expect. We will be going back.
Better deals can be found online but be sure of what you are booking if you go through a third party agency!!. The staff will not work with you or match prices, at all!! I wish they were a bit more flexible on this matter.
The Hilton Buffalo Thunder is a beautiful hotel with an attached casino, restaurants and small stores. We stayed there at the end of August and had a great stay. Then we stayed here in October and had a not so nice stay! This stay started out by them accenting the fact that we had made our reservations through a third party site. The room we were given was not what we had ordered. I went to discuss this with them at the front desk to which they replied you ordered through a third party so we can't refund money and we have nothing available for upgrade. On our first stay we had the most beautiful room, this time we had a regular sized hotel room and because of what they said we ordered through the third party booking site, it cost us an additional $80 more per night! They had a party before we arrived with a big white tent set up and a mess all over the grounds. That was never full cleaned up. The tent was taken down by our second day but cords and trash were still littered all around the nice grassed area. The last night we were there the power went out. It stayed out for almost 2 hours. They gave no explanation of what had happened. No apologies. The rooms were pitch black, no lights whatsoever. The room itself was small but clean. One of it's selling points was the in room fireplace. This was a joke because they had set the gas level already, turned on by a light switch. There was a small blue blame that went out all together after a few minutes. Their way of saving gas I suppose. The air conditioner was also regulated. It was warm in the room but said it was 69, when I tried to turn it down it went no lower than 65. The temp was so off. I would say that when it said 69 that it was really more like 74. Anyway, very annoying when you can get your room cool enough and remember, it wasn't because of the fireplace. It was like having a lit match in there. Put out very little, if any heat! One more thing, they charge for wifi unless you join their club. We had been there 5 days in the last two months. Two separate trips. No one even let us know about their club. I felt like they treated us poorly because we ordered off of Kayak. Their charge for wifi, $9.95 per device, per day! Ridiculous! My family and I really enjoyed this place in August! By the time October rolled around and I took my parents back to have a nice break, it was awful! Mainly in the way we were treated. Wrong room, littered grounds, long power outage, rude front desk attendants. We WAY OVERPAID this last time. $200+ per night for a regular small hotel room that they put a fancy name on, in a casino is overpaying!
The rude front desk attendants. The small room. The littered grounds not cleaned up. Regulators being put on the fireplace and air conditioner so one could barely use them. The wifi that cost $9.95 per device, per day! This place is huge, which is not a bad thing, but if you have trouble walking long distances beware. It's a mini marathon to walk up to your room down to the buffet and then way back over to your room. Wear your tennis shoes.
Staff in ALL areas of hotel, casino and gold course were so helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay. We have stayed before and will continue to come back!
Kayak did put in the wrong amount from what I reserved online and I was overcharged. Of course the excellent staff reviewed my confirmation paperwork and adjusted the charge.
Excellent Spa services and surrounding views
Service staff was inexperienced
Exterior and interior design was perfect, it matches the local architecture.
Extremely rude ( 0 smile) personnel ( except the consierge), they look like they only respect the guests that look highly reach and pay full check with no doubts or questions at all. Mini bar sensors are unacceptable making guests feel like they are thefts by definition.
