Great Happy hour in the bar at 5 pm with free red or white wine to choose from. Each were delicious. The fireplace is a must see! We both loved our dinner. Not a large menu, but nice choices. The staff is wonderful.
The pillows are very uncomfortable.
This is a generally nice hotel with character
But watch out - it has some awful rooms. We stayed in two rooms which looked directly into a narrow alley. Even on a very bright summer’s day, the rooms were so dark that it was impossible to see into your suitcase. They were also very noisy, night and day, because all the air conditioning units echoed in the alley. Nor were these defects explained in the website or booking information. If you stay at this hotel, make sure that you get full information about the type of room they are offering before you book, or you may regret it.
The hosted wine hour in the beautiful fireside room was an exceptional surprise.
I would have appreciated better parking instructions prior to arriving. Parking fees are consistent with a high end downtown experience.
The hotel is classic. We’ve stayed there many times before. The lobby is very charming and it’s overall historic vibe is great.
It’s beginning to feel tired inside, that’s ok however the real disappointment was the bar/restaurant service. Very slow if checked on at all. We ordered drinks and some food. The place was not crowded and it took forever to be served and no check in. The same level of service the next day for breakfast. The food quality is excellent as it should be for the price but the service was poor and unapologetic both times.
we loved the hotel and staff the only disappointment was breakfast, it too 45 mins to get served and it was not appeizing at all pooor quaility food.
