The bed was comfy and the room had bygone era charm. We loved the porch and grounds. Despite all of the things we didn't like, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I agree with the reviewers who think it needs updating. There were 2 weddings happening on the night we stayed, and the music from each throbbed throughout our room until, which made it difficult to relax. Our room was on the side of the inn where the long walkway to the function rooms was. People's normal talking voices could be heard. Luckily there was no rowdiness.
Splendid! Game arcade should have been all free, like it was presented in the brochyre
My Husband, mother, infant daughter and I stayed in a 2-bedroom villa over the MLK weekend. We were thrilled to get so much space at such a reasonable price. It was the same price as some of the other area resorts with twice the space for my family. The location was wonderful. In close proximity to many ski areas, restaurants, outlets, etc. Our personal villa was very clean and spacious. It has a working electric fireplace and a backporch, which was nice. All kitchen utensils were included which allowed us to make meals and snacks when we wanted to. Also, there was a washer/ dryer in our unit! We had a great time at the pool and in the lodge area. There are lots of activities there for kids and adults alike. When we and after we checked in, we were then directed to the sales staff who tried to set us up with a timeshare presentation the next day. Despite their best efforts we continuously declined. It was awkward, but we stayed firm and got out of it. Like everyone else, I felt that the decor and bedding were a little outdated. It would have been nice at the very least to see updated comforters in the rooms. It definitely would not prevent me from coming back, it would just be a nice feature. Finally, there was a Jacuzzi in our unit which we wanted to use, but it had not been turned on or serviced for a while and when we turned it on, a bunch of brown and black speckles came out. It was disappointing but not the end of the world. Overall would highly recommend!
The setting of the resort and the location of apartments throughout the woodlands makes it ideal for a peaceful and relaxing break. The apartments do need a little upgrading - acceptable as they are - but could easily generate a wow factor with some attention to detail.
There is nothing to report likable with the exception of the young girl working the counter. The place is a hundred year old, debilitated shamble. The carpets are disgustingly filthy dirty and the showers were covered with mold. The place reeked with a horrible odor and I would not eat there even if the food was free all day. The parking lot and external appearance look like a brothel/crack house in Detroit. bathroom floor had smeared poop on the floor. That was when I ran for my health. Do not ever go here.
The only positive is the hotel is part of Wyndham and I will get points for my stay which justify my one star. This hotel is the worst hotel I've stayed at in all my years of traveling. (1) I called to add a room to my reservation and was told by the representative the hotel would love to take my money but is sold out. I found that weird but ok ... (2) I arrived at the hotel a hour and 15 minutes early than the standard 3pm checkin. I was quickly informed that if I wanted to checkin I had to pay a $20 early checkin fee...WHAT?!?! No thank you (3) at 2:30 I was Iike uhm can I checkin .. It's only a 30 minutes ...I was finally told yes .. However, I was only able to get one key as the other two rooms on my reservation was still being clean. If I paid the $20 extra as stated in point 2 ... I still won't have had access to my room. (4) I got back from my event and my keys didn't work .. Walked to the front desk and got a new key. The new key didn't work either... Called from another room and was told they had to find the maintenance guy and will send someone up eventually... What? ... Walked down as the maintenance guy arrived and he let me in. (5) free breakfast includes bread (white, wheat and cinnamon) , watery scrambled eggs, hard corn muffin, and cereal. It did not look appetizing at all. Additional notes: hotel and room smells... Decor and furniture are outdated...
the staff was friendly
Noises kids running around on 2 ND floor.
It was quiet/relatively empty It was dirty & staff was both unpleasant & difficult to understand
Location worked well for us as we attended event at Wolf Hollow Country Club in Delaware Water Gap. Breakfast was much better than we had expected. Staff very nice and helpful. Facilities are a bit outdated. The staff seem to work hard to keep facility clean. Important to note, NO LONGER pet friendly as advertised.
The staff was friendly and helpful. There was a nice breakfast available and a great restaurant attached to the hotel.
Nothing The room smelled like mildew. There was a door to the next room that for safety shouldn't,t have been there. It was loud and noisy outside with screeching tires and beeping horns in the middle of the night.
The location is excellent, the staff was friendly. We have been going there for 5 years And they have always treated us well.
We chose this inn because past reviews stated it was "clean". We found this to be true. Walkable distance to downtown stroudberg with plenty of restaurants, pubs, shops. Smoking outside the main entrance. Stinky.
We loved the convienient location. All we had to do was walk a block up to get to a bunch of bars and shops. It was about 10-20 min drive from many outdoor activities. We enjoyed that breakfast was included. While not a luxury hotel, it was very clean and the staff at the front desk was always very friendly and eager to help. None of the Tvs were working during our stay due to a cable issue so that was a huge problem. Also the woman who worked the breakfast buffet was extremely rude and made us feel very uncomfortable while trying to eat. She would stand next to us and stare as we got out food. The one day we got there about half hour before breakfast was supposed to end and she started aggressively yanking out all the plugs of the appliances right out from under us as we were trying to use them. Last, I felt that the pricing was a little high for the quality of the stay. Overall We would definitely stay here again though!
Rooms should have individual thermostats. Was up most of the night adjusting temperature as it was either too hot or too cold
Nothing Disappointed in room for cost. Paper thin walls had to change rooms for noise. Continental breakfast was horrible. Ammenedies poor
This Hampton Inn is one of our favorites. Great staff, clean comfortable accommodations, nice pool and exercise room, and the best Hampton Inn breakfast in PA. Our thanks to them for being such a reliable stopover on our trips from NY to Ohio and back!
My son threw up all over the bed and the staff was very friendly and addressed the issues immediately. Everyday the staff was nice to my family and son.
This is a beautiful country inn. The inn, cottages , and grounds were pristine. Staff was nice. I stayed in cottage #38 which has a porch that looks over a serene wooded area. I arrived near dusk and as I came onto the porch of my cottage, five doe were just below in the open woods. I sat on the porch and watched the sun set. Very peaceful. The cottage I was in had a shared porch with the adjoining cottage, put no one was there most of the evening. The cottage was very nice, impeccably clean, great heater when the evening turned chilly. Wifi worked, but slow. If I went bak I would stay in the cottage again. It would have been nice to have a small coffee/tea maker in the cottage (like hotels have) or a small microwave. Had to go to the main inn to get a cup of tea. Also, as other reviewers mentioned, the walls are paper thin. The couple that had the adjoining cottage came in around 11pm and were only talking to each other but I could just about hear everything. Had they been a rowdy bunch it would have very much detracted from my stay. They finally stopped talking by midnight and it was quiet again.
Roasted Tomato restaurant brought me back to stay here again There was only decaf coffee in my room and breakfast wasnt served till 7 am.
-Rooms were extremely small -No power sockets or the ones were behind the bed
Staffs are friendly. Bed bugs! Both my wife and I got bitten on our necks, shoulders, arms and ears. Didn't realize it's bed bugs until we saw a doctor after the trip.
Staff checking in was courteous and friendly rooms were clean and comfortable.Bathrooms real clean and looked Newly remodeled. Over all nice stay and would stay there again. Check in time is 2 PM we got there 330 in the afternoon had to wait 30 minutes for the room to be ready .We missed our reservation at a resteaunt planned for my fiancée Birthday. So we decided to eat at the restaurant in the Hotel and prime rib was overcooked and dry and the waiter didn't even comp our bill .
Great value. Comfortable. Clean. Quiet. Excellent homemade continental breakfast during the week. Easy access to interstate.
Met expectations. 10 min drive to Delaware Water Gap Facilities haven't been updated but everything was clean
Generally was ok Water was dirty and promised a rebate but never happened.
The best part of the hotel was the location and the room was very clean and comfortable. Hotel is located right in the heart of the Poconos off Rte 209. My wife and I just did an overnight stay and the water drains in the room needed attention. The bathroom sink and tub accumulated water because they didn't drain properly. Probably slightly clogged. I reported this to the front desk on checkout. The restaurant's breakfast buffet menu looked good on paper, but in seeing the food it just didn't look too appetizing. So we didn't have breakfast there. Breakfast potatoes looked dried out. Overall was an OK value for the price paid.
Check in was quick, room was clean.
Pretty average place. Some of the staff was nice. There was something nasty on our sheets and when we told them about it they said it's probably rust. It was definitely not rust.
The price and convenience . The inn had all things a business traveler needed for a quick turn trip, nice bar, workout facility The sink handle was broken off and the shower diverter did not work
convenient location. Quick access to freeway. Rooms were a little small for a queen size bed etc.
The staff (Tina) was terrific.
Really the only good thing is the location of this hotel Firstly we booked for a 2 queen + 1 king bed but we got 1q + 1k only... Nobody knows how that happened... Too much confusion trying to get my issue resolved. The front desk blames the reservation center and the vice versa. The rooms are okay but room service was pathetic. Apparantly they dont have room service/cleaning on weekends.. LOL The breakfast buffet was a joke... They ran out of some items within and hour.... The things that were there were not as good either. If you can find a better place please avoid this hotel
I loved the location as so near elderly parents, town, and highway. I liked the availability of coffee and breakfast in the mornings. I was disappointed in the lack of customer service. With an extended stay, the towels were not replaced on a regular basis unless all towels were placed in the basket. Also, with the cost of the rooms, I would think this hotel could afford to replace toiletries mid stay. The availability of hot water for showers was mediocre at best.
Accommodations were very poor... Bathroom didn't even have a door. Two of the ceiling tiles looked like they were about to drop at any time. Was charged for a king room, but was given a room with one double bed. Asked about being refunded the price difference but was told since I booked online, there was nothing they could/would do about it. Room had no toiletries... Although I bring my own shampoo, etc., would have at least liked soap to wash my hands. Room next to us was being painted... Obviously somewhat of a strong smell.
The staff were so nice, they let us have a barbecue in the back. The rooms were clean and it was really near to so many attractions. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Quality Inn and I'm looking forward to coming back again

The staff working the breakfast buffet were SO helpful and friendly! The sheets on one of the beds looked clean, but didn't 'feel' as freshly clean as those on the other bed (liked they had gotten tangled up in the dryer).
Clean and comfortable
Clean and roomy. Free Breakfast no
Staff was very kind and professional. Location was close enough to the highway exit. Breakfast had quite a few hot and cold options and the extra hours to 12pm were helpful. Building appeared modern and well maintained. Room was neat and spacious. I value sleep in hotels. AC unit had rattling sound but my ear plugs helped. Pillows were way too soft/worn out/not supportive. Ceiling wall too thin, I kept hearing the steps of a running child. Some breakfast items were cold or bad but staff helped.
Nice facility. Manager was customer oriented. Check out time too early. Head of housekeeping had horrible customer service skills.

The room was great. Large and spacious, with plenty of room to spread out. The hotel isn't far off of I-80, so it makes for a good spot to stop if traveling to NYC or through the Poconos to New England. N/A
The breakfast lady was the best. She was beyond sweet and helpful. To be honest she made my entire stay. She gave me such a pleasant experience. When we left there was no one to check us out. We saw the breakfast lady again and she took our keys. I thought the young man working at night could have been way friendlier. I had to ask him where was the gym and the pool instead of him jist telling me. While I was checking in. He never told me they had cookies there I had to find out from a guest.
staff was excellent - friendly, accommodating and welcoming!
My girlfriend and I stayed here after a few days on the Appalachian Trail and it is located close to the trail itself making it convenient for hikers. There aren't many options in DWG itself, Wolf Hollow happened to be the most affordable. Girl at the desk was brand new and took a while getting us the room key. Rooms are very dated with old furniture and tiny tv. Early check out time (10 am) also kind of sucks. Price is a little steep for over all experience.
It was convenient to the highway anS the price was right. The room was small. The bed was not comfortable. Although it was supposed to be a non smoking room, the room and the hallway smelled faintly of cigarette smoke. The front desk staff were bored and listless. The entire experience was depressing.
CLEANING STAFF DID A GOOD JOB. ROOM WAS CLEAN AND ORDERLY ON MY ARRIVAL EVERY EVENING AND THE MADE SURE I HADD THE EXTRA COFFEE SUPPLIES THAT I REQUESTED. AM BREAKFAST WAS A LITTLE SKIMPY
The location is ideal. It is just off the interstate and between golfing and the casino. The mattress in the room we stayed in was very flat and uncomfortable.
Leaving The place is old. Duct tape holding carpet down. Doors stick. Rooms have musty smell
Room was clean and comfortable Charge an "incidentals" charge to your card equal to 1 nights stay. Only possible incidentals are the safe $1.50 and phone. Its actually a damage security deposit. When you make a non-refundable reservation with any of kayaks vendors you aren't notified of this prior to making reservation.
Very friendly and helpful at the front desk The "non-smoking" room smelled like smoke and so did the bath towels
We came originally for 2 days on June 25th from Brooklyn , me my wife + 2 kids. Then had to cancel second day due to emergency situation. Very polite stuff, very responsive . Gave us extra pillows. Very good free breakfast. Fresh room, no smells like other hotels. Nice clean bathroom. Perfect location, close to Main Street, where all restaurants bars, cafeterias, etc. also nice walk at night down to Main Street . The campground 5 min away to make barbeque. Will definitely come back here again.
Room was ok....few pubes on toilet seat but cheap room what can u do!? Booked for 2 days on business, found out only in town for 1 day & Lady at check in refused to refund my 2nd day...stated "I can call the sheriff if I like" & never gave me WIFI password & called desk to get it and guy screams it into phone & hangs up on me....ok room for the price but the unrofessionalism and rudeness trumps any ok deal in my book....stay someplace else!
Room was clean and was kept clean daily. No strange smells. Bed was comfortable. Air conditioning worked. Good work space desk/chairs provided. Exactly what I would hope for in a lower-rate hotel. Perfect for a quick stay when you are primarily just going there to sleep. Nice adjustable shower head in bathroom. Convenient location. No in-room coffee maker. Very strange building layout, room was tricky to find by number alone. Obviously older building. Very dated bathroom, although everything worked. Parking lot is a bit of a squeeze.
Low cost and good location. A bit rundown and the towels looked like well used "hand me downs" that have seen better days.
Checking in at an outdoor window was tacky. The room was in poor repair and uninviting.
Cleanliness Very outdated
I like that you guy changed my room , because the 1st room I was giving was way to much noise . Sound like water flushing & and the door keep opening and closing with a ticking sound. We couldn't sleep for one night . 1st night was rough sleeping, with noise coming from everywhere.
filthy rug and chairs. my feet were black after going barefoot in room and I was afraid to sit on the chairs.. dirty halls. desk staff rather unfriendly. seems to be a "residential" hotel. grounds unkempt .basically not acceptable. "breakfast" poor fare.
NOTHING Motel should be torn down. piece of crap!
No towels in the room. The facilities smelled and the room was extremely dark. None of the lights were even plugged in. Worst part is the Kleenex box was empty and they didn't even have any bAth towels.
The young man who was working at the front desk the morning we checked out was very nice. Shower head not secured to the wall, no way to change angle of water. May not have been an issue if the shower stall was slightly larger. Wifi not consistent. Room not worth the price.
Good restaurants nearby Room was moderately sized. Very small bathroom/no tub. Refrigerator and microwave in room, but they blocked the corner of the TV.
first night there the room I was given was wrong my second night there their was so much noise with kids and people out Infront of the window at 3am making noise is was a huge disturbance I complained and the noise continued I would not stay there again The hotel had no beverage machine for conveinance. The guy who worked there didn't know the password to their wifi so I had no Internet access.
The hotel was the worst one ive ever seen. We did not stay there. Everthing. They shouldnt be in business. And I dont know if ill use priceline again.
