Pros: The photos showed that it looked as if it was located on the water.
Cons: I thought the breakfast should have been much heartier and various.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A wonderful place for a wonderful stay! I was looking for a solo getaway, and Beth and Christina made my whole week at Seven exactly what I wanted - rest, relaxation, & recreation. A great balance of winding down on the beach and getting some hiking and biking in. If you're looking for a great B&B experience on SI, Seven is it. Will definitely be back!

Pros: Service Room Breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved a lot about this place. The location was perfect for us--we were able to walk to dinner (a few different restaurants), the beach, and live music. They had bikes for our use that enabled us to explore the island--they were so helpful in assisting us planing our route. The breakfast was delicious and healthy--the freshest fruits, jams, breads, oatmeal, croissants, etc. (yum!) There was a front porch and back porch where we enjoyed our breakfast, and afternoon tea. We will definitely be back.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I know Shelter Island well and I chose this property because of its location - it's perfect! The property is immaculately clean throughout. The kitchen was well appointed and very welcoming... everything one needs is there and is set up so you feel very much "at home". The art throughout the premises is striking and in very good taste. My bedroom was not large but very thoughtfully laid out and had everything I needed. The bed was very comfortable with very good linens. The bathroom very attractive and had all amenities; towels are thick and plentiful.
Cons: I had reserved a Queen room but the bed was actually a double. If I had been traveling with my partner, might have been a bit uncomfortable but it was fine for me.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and comfortable. Lovely art work and interesting books.
Cons: Would have liked a swimming pool but plenty of lovely beaches nearby with beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas provided by the B&B.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We opted for a few days away from NYC following a friend's wedding. We had no clue where to pick but Seven looked lovely from the photos. And it was superb. Excellent customer service, a clean and quiet room, and a delicious breakfast each day. It's a perfect location for easy access to beaches and restaurants nearby and further afield. We even hired bikes and used them to go out for dinner. All the staff were very friendly but especially Beth made us feel very at home and nothing was too much trouble for her. Seven is a relaxed home away from home and we shall be returning as soon as we can. And Evie (the weimaraner) was a treasure - she melted our hearts. Thank you again for a wonderful stay.
10.0 Excellent

There were many places to sit and hang out in the hotel and outside in the beautiful backyard garden. The staff was super friendly and helped to make our stay fun and inviting while at the same time respecting our privacy. We will return for sure.
Cons: The bed mattress was uncomfortable, if I had to complain about one thing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stayed in Greenport to attend a wedding on Shelter Island. Hotel was convenient and the most affordable for such a prime tourist destination. Staff was extremely accommodating and the vibe of this small gem of a hotel was laid back and funky. They have a nice European style breakfast if you are so inclined, with a nice patio if you want to take it outside. The common areas are very comfortable and stylish, and the music that they pipe in is perfect for the atmosphere. As many others have said, it is a great place for the solo traveler, and it is an easy walk to the railroad station and Shelter Island Ferry. If you are going to be arriving late, it is important to communicate with the hotel.

10.0 Excellent
Cons: I would have liked if we could have stayed longer. Our hosts, Flo and Janine, were warm, friendly women. From our first meeting, we felt we had known them forever; that they were friends. The location was true to its name: "A Walk in the Woods"...our closest neighbors being a gaggle? of turkeys and Monty, the resident horse. I think I have his name correct; sorry Monty if I am wrong. We spent quite a bit of time on the wraparound porch, relaxing in any of several wicker chairs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is an incredible place hidden off the road. The house and grounds are spectacular. There is such attention to detail in both the decorating and service. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great, very close to beaches and beautiful town of Greenport.
Cons: Wish the pool was heated.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Bed was really comfortable, place was very clean, shower was great, AC unit working perfectly! The location is terrific for wineries, beaches, etc. Staff helpful. For a night or two, this motel is perfect.
Cons: The room was small And probably shouldn't have had a king bed. The lighting was strange with the highest intensity led white bulbs, and during our stay a fire alarm went off on another room (there are kitchenettes in the rooms and someone may have burned something) which was incredibly loud. There's a pool and outdoor seating area directly across from motel, and dog park behind--lots of people and sound. These aren't huge issues at all and of course it's good they have safety in mind; I just think/ hope it's helpful to know details.

Pros: Location,that’s it.
Cons: Very noisy. No parking. Second floor luggage problem No mirrors in bedroom. No dresser.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We came here for a night after our wedding and the room was just spectacular! The bartender down stairs was so lovely and helped us celebrate our special day with a compliment round of drinks. I would definitely stay here again!!!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Love the locations of both hotels. American Beech has a more lively vibe, very boho and centrally located to everything u would want. Aqua hotel beautifully situated on a private remote beach. Try to mix it up and stay at both. A lovely 3 day get away.
Cons: Pillows too soft in American Beech! But really not a problem. Personal preference.
7.9 Good
Pros: Good restaurant for dinner.
Cons: Terribly noisy place. Avoid room #6 at all costs. Heavy road noise and it sits directly over a bar where the bass music pulsates throughout the room until 2am, the bar entrance door slams constantly all night, shaking the room until closing time, and the screaming cheers from bar patrons playing table shuffleboard is a steady nuisance. We had to move rooms after two terrible nights of sleep. With only 11 rooms in the hotel, moving sooner wasn’t an option.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Meals were excellent, scallops and lobster rolls were great.
Cons: Had to change rooms, first had running water, second room was excellent. Transition by staff was pleasant and accommodating.
7.5 Good
Pros: I loved the bath amenities - they smelled so great! And, the location is fantastic in terms of being very central to everything there is to do in Greenport. Free Wifi.
Cons: The hotel was VERY noisy. We could hear through the very thin walls, and it prevented us from getting a good night's rest. One day, the bar was closed for a private event, which was fine, but the hotel has very few common spaces otherwise, so we had to find elsewhere to go.

Pros: Good breakfast and nicely designed comfortable room. I have stayed at several other hotels in this neighborhood and this is the best one so far.

Pros: It was such a relaxing experience. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. I don't know why the toliet was running but I closed the bathroom door and solved that problem. It was definitely a pleasant experience.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was OK, the cut fruit was bad everything else was good.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Absolutely nothing. The general manager Jamie was rude, a lier (she lied to cover the customer complaint), unhelpful and confrontational. She shouldn’t be in that position. She doesn’t know how to handle customers and should be fired from her job.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed, great breakfast options, convenient expressway access, nice indoor pool, cold lemon water available in lobby, coffee available 24/7, friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Cons: Shares driveway with neighbor Bristal retirement and can be difficult to locate hotel. (Hotel is not visible from driveway) and room coffee maker failed to work after one use.

Pros: Bedding. Nice front desk gal on 28 SEP 2019 around 11 PM and checked us out 29 SEP,2019 around 0830. Lobby.
Cons: Very poor value for the price. Here's why: Except for the lobby, which looked nice, the hotel had an overall shabby feel to it. Beds and bedding comfortable but rest of room - decor was very worn, bathroom had the bare necessities but not comfortable.

Pros: My wife and I booked a room at the House on Chase Creek for a relaxing weekend getaway. We had such a wonderful time. Bill is a great host, very welcoming and available. He provided great restaurant and activity recommendations. The house is beautifully maintained, and has a lovely sense of antique-charm. Sophie, Bill’s incredibly cute doggie compatriot, is a talented and charming co-host. Everything was very clean and quiet. We can’t wait to come back to stay at the House on Chase Creek again during the warmer months.
Cons: None
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location is amazing! So beautiful.. even with bad weather! The host was great and understanding as we arrived quite late at night and he even let us have a better room than the one we have booked.. beautiful, stylish and cozy room! Light breakfast but perfect to get your day started!
Cons: The only thing a little unexpected (our bad that we did not research this better) is that we had to pay 30 dollars for ferry rides - to and from Shelter Island - as the round trip fare (17usd) is not good if you are staying overnight at the island.. and they only take cash!

Pros: Peaceful and perfectly comfortable. Bill was also super accommodating, helpful and fun.
