24 hour shuttle is great. The hotel bar and restaurant are fine, and the crowd is something out of Star Wars - incredibly mixed bag makes great people watching.
We picked the hotel close to the airport with a shuttle service. The shuttle service is extremely convenient. We were only staying for one night before flying out. The room smelled a bit. Everything appeared very clean however there was a lingering smell.
Close to the airport. Hotel shuttle links you to airport shuttle to get downtown and back. Room size was good. Pizza was undercooked (but the cheese on the pizza was fantastic).
We paid extra for the deluxe breakfast buffet, which turned out to be a depressing school cafeteria, complete with plastic trays still damp from the dishwasher. Not what we expected from the reviews.
Paying for parking without previously knowing there was a charge. Bathroom was not as clean as I feel it shold have been.
Got early check-in. The shuttle goes quite frequently. And they have hypoallergenic pillows! Dry air in the room.
Shuttle driver could have been more specific with terminal information at Dublin airport. We walked much more than necessary and two of our party had difficulty with that.
Finding parking was difficult. Shower was either cold or scalding hot.
Great atmosphere and very modern Instant coffee in the room
Shuttle service was excellent. No breakfast included. No other restaurants in the area to dine at.
The free 24/7 shuttle to and from the airport was very convinent The rooms were old and outdated, shower wasn't good, and bar staff were slow and ignorant
Food is excellent!
Staff was very fruendly You can hear everything from the rooms beside/above you. It is very difficult to sleep
Highly recommended if you arrive late or depart early. You can walk to the airport as well
Proximity to airport was great, about a 2-3 min ride on free shuttle.
Easy check in/check out. Staff very friendly and helpful. Convenient location to airport and a free shuttle to the airport is a plus. Bar staff and waiters friendly and the food was good. Definitely would recommend.
The location was great, especially for my early morning flight. Staff was polite and very helpful, access to buses that take you in the center of Dublin was easy and reliable. The heating system was a bit odd, as it was either too hot or too cold throughout the night. Same can be said for the shower, every 30 seconds the temperature would change from extremely cold to burning hot which made for uncomfortable showers.
Friendly staff Dirty bathroom Small room Uncomfortable bed
Close to the terminals, frequent shuttle departures. Decent restaurant. Tiny rooms, expensive.
It was quiet. The shuttle service is convenient. The staff are friendly and efficient. The bathrooms need ventilation fans
We called the hotel when our flight arrived and they promptly picked us up. We arrived to the hotel early and they allowed us to check in so we could drop off our bags and spend the day in the city of Dublin. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating...they even checked us in and printed out our boarding passes for us for our flight. The shuttle in the morning was out front ready and waiting for our early flight. I would definitely stay again.
Good look about it, nice hotel bar, close proximity to airport, nice staff. The rooms were tiny, like smaller than NYC on a budget. I kept saying I felt like I was on a cruise ship down below. If the price were under $100, (say $70) I would think it is great because everything else is accommodating.
convenient to airport, comfortable for overnight stay, reasonably priced for the area, clean
The location is good for the convenience of Dublin airport. The rooms are clean and pretty comfortable for your money. The bathrooms are nice and the showers work well. The staff was rude from pick up to departure. The airport shuttle driver did not assist in loading or unloading any of the luggage from the car. The restaurant and all food service end early so if you have a late flight and want to grab a snack your options are McDonald's and gas station. But god forbid you try to eat your food on a table in the bar area. The staff very rudely kicked myself and my friend out of the bar for trying to eat at a table and when we explained we would be ordering drinks from the bar and just wanted to snack since they were no longer serving food. We were told we could take our food upstairs. Eat at the desk in our room and then come back and order drinks. We did not come back downstairs. The front staff was unresponsive and very short with us. And also tried to double charge both myself and friend when our rooms were prepaid. I would not recommend this hotel based on their staff alone. Besides that, it's a pretty straight forward business layover hotel.
I found everything really good from the start - your reception staff were excellent. If I have any complaint it is with regard to parking charges. I feel that for each night you stay at the hotel your car parking should be free. I stayed for one night but left the car there for two nights - but was charged for three nights - seemingly you are charged from the minute you arrive and not on an overnight basis.
Not near anything other than the airport.
Right beside the airport even in snowy weather only 10 mins door to door, also could check in on-line and get boarding pass.
I have been before when it was the great southern and it was nice that the bar staff were the same ones and made a great fuss of me when i went in there.
Very comfortable room and very efficient check in and check out procedures
-Hotel was easy to check in/check out -Close to Dublin airport -Airport shuttle every 15min... Very Helpful! -Within walking distance of local pub
Great location for the airport terminal and good regular shuttle service to the airport.
The hotel was in an excellent position The hotel room money was taken in advance, but when we arrived were asked for a credit card or 50 euros as deposit. Asked Veronica what for and she told me to cover drinks in mini bar, when we got to room there were no drinks in mini bar!! So it seemed just wanted a deposit, couldnt understand why ?? When I told her didnt pay a deposit when my husband stayed a month ago, the reply was - well rules have changed.
I was looking for a hotel that was close to the Dublin Airport, since I was dropping off a rental car and flying out the next morning. This hotel suited my need very well. The price was right for a single traveler and the meals were good. The staff was very helpful and answered all my questions. Nothing
The close proximity to the airport and the spacious room. The kettle in the room had a rusty core.
The shower Our room was dirty, there was folding furniture and lamps that didn't even work. The bed didn't have 2 pillows and there were stains in the bed. The furniture and mirrors were broken and scratches. There were stains on the carpet and no bag in the dirty trash can. I was pregnant and my husband and I were on our baby moon. We got in late to this hotel and just needed sleep. We did not get it. It took the staff 20 minutes to get us checked in. Then, when we realized the bed didn't have sheets, we called the desk. They said they'd send someone up. That took 20 more minutes. They sent up a man who just handed us sheets and a pillow and said we would need to make the bed bc he couldn't. We called again and were told the manager was helping a more important client, so we went down to the desk to request a different room. When we got to the desk the manager was standing there not busy and told us he just talked to us on the phone. He said there were no other rooms, but he could give us breakfast. We were leaving before breakfast for a flight and he was unsympathetic. He said we would need to make the bed and just deal with the room. He was very rude and unprofessional. We finally got to bed 2 hours after arriving and very unhappy. It was a bad ending to our beautiful trip. What a shame.
Convenience to Airport as I was in transit. Prompt and reliable Shuttle Transfer was great. My stay was so short (midnight checkin - 6am check-out), I could not comment.
Spacious room Near outside smoking area. Slight ingress of smoke in room
Close to client site Tired and in need of refurbishment
From the minute we saw the Hotel we felt good. We loved our room and the location. The staff were great and the food also. It was also the quietest room we have ever been in We did not like the breakfast host (waiter) she never smiled and was just plain rude. Except when we went to pay the bill and that was the only time she smiled.
Lovely layout of the rooms. Sinks and bath got blocked.
Friendly receptionist and cleaning staff Bed and pillows very uncomfortable
Warm clean friendly lovely countryside
First room given very bad smell of smoke - had to be changed.
its was warm and welcoming. homely feel about it. cosy and not too big. very fast service espically if you required anything in the room. very efficient. good value on bar and restraunt food and some evening and weekend entertainment which is great. car park is not connected by life and you need to walk through the barrier at the entrance to get into the hotel. A little lack in regard to safety espically with children. need to be careful in carpark and very tight spaces for parking
Location to town centre. comfort of the hotel
Comfortable atmosphere Promised wireless internet not available in any part of hotel, condition of tv remote poor for grade of hotel.
Very convienet to the airport (less than 5 minutes) and nice, newer rooms. The built-in USB ports for charging devices was an especially nice touch. We booked two spots on arrival for the shuttle back to the airport for our return the next day, but when we came down the following morning at our scheduled time, they had not held the spots and the shuttle was already full. We did manage to pick ourselves in and make it, but not without having to go with the driver back into the hotel to the concierge desk, and even then 1 of had to sit in the isle on the floor of the van sardined around luggage. It's virtually impossible to use the shower without spilling a fair bit of water into the rest of the bathroom. Seemed more a "form over function" design choice, or perhaps an unintended consequence of the good water pressure (which I was a fan of).
This hotel is very close to the airport with a free shuttle to take you to and from. Everyone is kind which is also a plus. We came across a dry urine stain on our bed in I ur first room. Seemed to be on an additional disposable comfort sheet which could have easily been tossed whenever someone came across the issue. But the hotel quickly moved us to a new room after a quick phone call.
The hotel had excellent wifi, the restaurant downstairs was great and affordable, the airport shuttle was very convenient, the staff took great care of me by letting me check in a bit early, the room was spacious and the bathroom was wonderful. I'd had a chaotic 36 hours traveling internationally and needed a night to unwinde before my next flight. This did the trick. Bit noisy in the day if you're trying to sleep, no a/c so it got pretty stuffy, bed was very firm, over priced but you pay for convenience I suppose.
Close @ the Airport!
Great location near the airport, with shuttle available 24 hours.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. I saw smiles on all of their faces. This is very important to me. It was very clean.
compared to another Dublin airport I stayed at, it was better. compared to most other city's airport hotels, Dublin's are poor quality and OVER priced. Lucky for Ireland that there are lots of Irish American's enamored with travelling to Ireland, but IMHO it's over priced for the so-so accommodations and service that you get in the country.
Booked this hotel at the last minute and got a great deal. Hotel was clean, staff was friendly. The hotel is next to the airport and offers a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport. I would highly recommend for business or personal travel for someone looking to stay near the airport.
Very isolated unless you come with a car. Unable to easily get simple things like snacks. The hotel is the only close source of food, consequently the prices are high. The hotel was clean and the staff were fairly helpful.
The breakfast and the friendliness of the lovely receptionist. The room didnt have much character and by 9 the pool etc had shut.
Good food, good leisure facilities, good location, good staff No bad points.
Very relaxing atmosphere, clean with friendly helpful staff, good choice of food, resturant and bar food, leisure facility clean and relaxing
The shower was not working in the ensuite.
relaxed atmosphere i would like to have a pot of tea for breakfast and not have to have tea from the thermos flask which is always luke warm and like water not tea
Hotel is very nice with the the amentities of a golf course hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was very nice and well maintained. We had a room with two beds that were more than adequate for our needs. I think this is a good value hotel and it is convenient to the airport without being too close. The only thing I did not like about the hotel was the entrance to the hotel. There is no good way to turn your car around to head back to the parking lot. After you get back in your car you are pointing to the back of the hotel and it is very poorly designed as there is no good way to head towards to parking lot.
everything was excellent
We had a really nice time , we only stayed for one night and found the hotel very welcoming and comfortable , our room was very cosy and we all got a very good nights sleep , we also had access to the spa and pool facilities which was most rewarding - excellent value for money . if i had to say something it would be that the breakfast wasnt great , although it was still eaten !
Everything was as expecting. Extremely fast check-in and check-out and the airport transfer worked very well. It was difficult to get information on the airport transfer. My emails were not answered and finally I had to call only to be informed that I have to call them again when I have landed. If that information had been easily available I would have no reservations.
Excellent facility but requires clearer directions on how to find the Hotel. Difficult to find, especially due to roadworks in the area.
public areas were attractive and comfortable rooms were not airconditioned, poor ventilation, entire wing in need of refurbishing, buffet breakfast at'Coast' restaurant was very poor. WI FI free for 30 mins only - after that there is a charge. They need to update this policy.
This is certainly a hotel I would stay in again, and after a two week tour of Ireland and 14 hotels later, this was one of the best as an all round good hotel Nothing to not like
This resort is situated on a spectacular property with unparalleled views. Our room was nicely appointees, very clean and quiet even though there were a couple of major events. Upon arrival the person at reception was snobby and did not even offer to have our bags brought up to the room and honestly acted as if he was doing us a favor by checking us in. We had traveled from Killarney and were dressed very casually and it was apparent that we were very under-dressed--not a place to stay if you want to be casual and laid back. The staff, especially, Emma, at the restaurant where we sat for a drink, was courteous and very friendly. We ordered room service and to be frank the food was awful--cold and just not good. Beautiful spot but with room for improvement.
The hotel struck me as a former glory in its decline. Everything was just a bit off. The dining service and food was a bit off. The room was a bit off. I won't stay here again.
We loved everything, parking was good, staff friendly and although we didn't eat in the hotel as it was rather expensive the menu looked impressive as did the dining room. Our stay with you was to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary and we booked a double room but think we were given a deluxe room which was lovely and really appreciated, it made our stay even more enjoyable. Only minor complaint, the lifts behind reception to the 3rd floor which we were on was out of use during our stay, it wasn't a problem for us as we used the stairs but for an elderly person may have been a problem. We also thought that drinks in Jameson bar were rather expensive.
The girls on reception could not do enough, very friendly and courteous,The room was gorgeous and the price of drink was reasonable The food in the restaurant was bland but Guido in the restaurant sorted it out when we complained, That was the only bad thing we could say .
Perfect rooms and so close to the beach, free internet, nice view and good dinner
The rooms are modern, spacious and comfortable. Good access to the internet via cable ( WiFi signal was too weak). No extra charges for internet! I found the small gym very useful. However it is very compact and a bit clustered. Suggest a larger suitable room. This facility should be given a higher profile (no photo on website and staff were unaware of the equipment).
Great Location. Good sized rooms - compared to England and the rest of Europe. Nice Grounds.
The room was huge and staff super A little pricey , however I knew that before I went
The views and meals were outstanding The bed was most uncomfortable. The pillows were lile rocks.
The location right on the beach and the quietness were the two main things we really appreciated the most. Nothing
I was very happy with everything durin my stay. N/a
comfortable beds and swimming pool facility
Most comfortable bed I have ever slept and I stay in a lot of hotels.
Was at a wedding. Very courteous staff, a very comfortable room and delicious food. Magnificent view also
Lovely hotel with great rooms, public areas and attentive staff no
The staff were friendly, the rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean, and it was excellent value.
The comfort. The location, the facilities. Did not like the restaurant. No gluten-free options displayed on the menu.
very good bedrooms, very comfortable bed, good leisure centre, easy to get to. No bath, pressure in shower could have been better.
spanking brand new hotel, absloutely great pool, sauna, steam room - amazing gym full of latest equipment - all included in the price - huge comfortable beds - good restaurant unfotunately the room temperature was unbearably high and air con controls did not work however the manager apolgised next day and gave a 30% discount
The rooms were lovely and so was the food. The room was really hot and stuffy even with the window open, we tried the climate control with the window closed but it didn't make a difference.
Nice Friendly greeting, good food, good prices
The hosts provide such amazing personal attention from check-in to a customized breakfast in the morning. Room was clean and comfortable. Great location, only a few minutes from the airport and close to a great pub and shopping center. Will stay here anytime we're in Dublin!
Great location. Easy access to airport. Great staff. Good food. Nice common area for meeting with fellow travellers. No.
The hosts are wonderful people. The bed was very comfortable and the room spotless. The location being a 5 minute drive from the airport makes it very convenient. Thank you.
John and Anabelle are very friendly, courteous hosts. They were more than accommodating and made our first few nights in Ireland a pleasure. The hotel is near the airport, but not in walking distance to the City Centre. There is, however, a bus that goes right to this area.
Friendliness of staff Good outdoor seating ( loved by smokers) Lovely large and clean bedroom Good atmosphere Breakfast not top rate, porridge ,fried eggs ,poached eggs sadly missing
Modern decor, sumptuous room, with great facilities. Friendly, helpful and attentive staff. The breakfast choice could have been a little better.A bit of an over reliance on meaty cooked breakfast products.
Decor, the cleanliness was excellent as was the location of the hotel.Staff were friendly and efficient.
Front-desk staff was very helpful. Rooms and dining areas are modern and stylish. Although the hotel is located on a river, there are no tables available for outdoor dining with a view of the river.
The food menu was very appealing and presented really well. Our room was extremely comfortable and relaxing. The location is excellent too.
Clean modern hotel situated in the heart of Drogheda. The staff are all extremely helpful and the complementary parking is a bonus.
Good location pleasant staff. Attention to detail lacking. Heating not on in room.
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff. Not enough staff on at breakfast time leading to delays in being seated even though lots of tables not cleaned off
Staff very friendly, hotel well positioned on the banks of the river. Hotel convenient for meetings in the north as well as Dublin.
Staff very friendly, and everything else was fine.
Had a wonerderful visit, Brenda the host was very friendly & helpful and made me feel very welcome. The whole premisies was very clean & modern and graden was full of flowers and was beautiful to look out at while having breakfast in the conservatory breakfast room.. My room was well appointed and had everything I required even the extra with the kit kats I enjoyed with my decaf coffee . Had a choice from a 10 option breakfast menu, had Smoked Salmon & Scrambled Eggs it was perfect and Green Tea all served with a bread basket & Juice, just perfect. No complaints, the place was perfect from start to finish, hope to return soon.
Orley House was perfect from start to finish. Orley House provides a first class friendly & professional service. The room was newly decorated and had everything we required the quailty of the bed linen and the bed was very comfortable and room was warm. We booked room only but on arrival we ordered dinner which was delicious and also had breakfast which was yummy real quailty food served. We had a very comfortable stay and we really enjoyed our dinner & breakfast. I have booked my parents in for Easter Week as I know they will have a wonderful stay, young & old will enjoy the hospitality and helpful & friendly service we received at Orley House. Orley House is in a perfect location for sightseeing or a visit to the spa/golf/beach We enjoyed everything, you would have a problem if you had a complaint . Everything was perfect, 100% well done Orley House.
the breakfast was good but not cooked to order. Bacon was obviously cooked before hand so a bit hard. They left a complimentary drink in our room as it was my husbands 60th. the price.it was very over priced for just being a room in someone's house.very small and no bath, almost same price as 4* hotel in same area.wanted to just stay one night (booked 2)as musty smell and were told we would be charged for it.so had to stay.would not recommend because of the price. If you paid a lot less it would be more value for money.
Overall and throughout our stay at this bed & breakfast the service was superb and I couldn't fault it in any way at all. Both myself and my partner would reccommend it to all and sundry. Well done orley house
Breakfast was nice and garden looked wonderful I knocked over vase under towel rack in bathroom - I think its possibly a bit dangerous where it is in very small space - I didn't break vase but I think it would be quite easy for that to happen.
This was without doubt the best B & B I have stayed in, and I would recommend it to anyone so nice we stayed 1 extra night as we were less than 30mins to airport. The room was very comfortable , very quiet, squeaky clean with lovely toiletries & hospitality tray, had great night sleep. You know, I cannot recall a single thing I didnt like! Just simply wonderful and relaxing. Highly recommended
Nice breakfast room, good breakfast, beautiful gardens. You definitely need a car and your own international mobile phone. Also our credit card did not work on their machine although we had no trouble with it before or after.
Good breakfast and a personal touch e.g. booking dinner for us at a nearby restaurant
Since it was a B&B, the owners were very nice and helpful. Made a delicious full Irish breakfast. It was a little pricey but since it was the weekend of the RollingStones concert I believe they probably priced accordingly.
Have stayed in a few Premier Inns in the Uk ...this was by far the quietest.... Certainly a good nites sleep ! Just a bit out from Dublin City Ctr....
staff very friendly The pillows/ beds were not as comfortable as we would have liked.
Convenience in proximity to the airport and availability of hotel shuttle. Inattentiveness by the hotel restaurant staff. Was completely forgotten during the meal. Very frustrating.
airport hotel breakfast start @ 0600
The staff where excellent and the room was perfect after a long trip and for the price which to be honest in Ireland was a bargain for such a lovely hotel No complaints, it's good to see that this company has pulled up it's socks.
The cleanliness and the courtesy shown by the staff was second to none. breakfast was excellent.
The staff was very helpful and took care of all of our needs I would like to have the breakfast included in the price of the stay. Other than that everything was great.
It was comfortable and clean after a long day of travel. It had a nice free shuttle to the airport. Staff was friendly. While the food was good, it was expensive for what you got. €11.95 for a hot breakfast is what you would typically would get in America for free. Cereal and pastry only was €9.95.
This hotel has always been a clean and very friendly place with delightful staff who will do anything to help. not applicable
I wanted an inexpensive hotel located near the Dublin airport. This met those requirements. Check in was easy. There was plenty of parking at the hotel. The internet was great. Although the property is older the room was clean with everything I needed. I would stay here again.
The staff and the facilities were excellent. Really relaxed and professional athmosphere Although not a complaint, from talking to other guests at the wedding, they did get the wedding room rate of €69 for their room, while I was charged €79 for both the rooms I booked. Also, my son did not want breakfast the following morning, but his partner did, and because he went into the breakfast room with her, he was charged €13 for a cup of tea he had .
Our stay was very short - hours in fact! We had an early flight to catch and didn't get to the hotel until late in the evening. The room was very comfortable & clean.
Staff were very polite and friendly . Room clean and functional. The food whilst served in the bar is quite good.
When we arrived there was some sort of party going on and the receptionist at the time, although clearly busy was very nice. Everything she said however seemed to have been recited and practiced which was a bit robotic and off putting but still, she made clear where everything was should we need it and told us how to get to our room. She set a good first impression. The room was clean and tidy as well as the corridors to the room. The TV kept being blocked by a sky digital message about it being inactive and press a button to stop it powering off which blocked a fair portion of the screen, it really wasnt that big of an issue but something worth noting. The shower also leaked a bit but again nothing major. Really the only 2 faults we had with the room. The restaurant only had a set menu which annoyed us a fair bit and the waiter was rather distant and almost rude in how he handled us. The receptionists the next morning were awful, took our key and basically shooed us out the door, no asking was our stay ok, or thanks for coming or anything. Just took the card and continued other things. Barely even looked at us!
The hotel is welcoming and comfortable - the food is good and the staff in the restaurant and eveywhere in the hotel are very pleasant and helpful
Comfortable rooms, good value for money.
Stayed at this hotel on the 6th of feb for 1 nite with children interconnecting rooms were great great size also wold definitely recommend . I would highly recommend the hotel if you are just passing through and dont plan on doing anything else for an evening there. Just 1 thing I did not like was it is on the main motorway so nothing to do around the hotel whatsoever which was boring for the kids.
It was easy to book (on-line) and very convenient to main roadways, near the city, sea and airport. We found a soiled towel which had not been removed after use by previous customers.
restaurant facilities The location, and general decorative state of the rooms
very convient for airport as we had early morning flight.
accesibility to airport & friendliness of staff
Clean and basic Shower could be better
The breakfast was fantastic, the room clean, bed comfortable. It was very difficult to adjust the water temperature of the shower. Could not get the wi-fi to work in the room in the morning. As there was a charge of €5 per device for a 24hr period this was disappointing. There was no trouble connecting to the wi-fi in the breakfast area though.
It was very handy to access after a night out in Sword.Basic price for basic facilities, you get what you pay for. We were in a no smoking room but there was a faint smoky smell thought at first they had put us in a smoking room. Only one pillow per person
The front desk employees were very helpful, very clean and great value for the price.
The staff were very helpful. The room was very uncomfortable for 2 adults and 2 children way too small.
Very close to airport, people at reception very kind and polite, big and very clean room, nice price Breakfast is not included, you can have one in the near restaurant but it's expensive
Swords was an interesting village and was close to the airport. Great shuttle to and from the airport. The hotel had very thin and flimsy walls. We could hear everything going on in all rooms around us and across the hall. We didn't feel like the hotel was secure. Anyone could walk in and out with no security or access card or key. Very loud most of the night. We changed hotels for our return trip to Dublin.
Clean & convenient
