Location, rooms, coffee station, comfy robes Towels a little rough
The pretty inn is quite convenient to the numerous restaurants and shops in quaint Solvang. It was quiet at night and very safe even when walking back to the inn after dining out. The furnishings are modern. The rooms didn't have any convenient plugs for computers and phones, and not enough wall plugs. The pillows were not comfortable at all. And we were very unhappy over the fact our room didn't have a safe. Nor did the front desk have safes large enough to hold or computers and other valuables--that's the first time I've ever seen a hotel without proper safes.
Clean, nice pool area, nice rooms. Coffee and tea in the lobby. Very thin walls and ceilings. I could hear everything going on upstairs and on both sides of my room.
Beautiful hotel, very comfortable, excellent staff!
Every thing was perfect!!!
Fireplace in the lobby. Decor in rooms and lobby! Location was fab! Close to everything, but set off main road so it was nice and quiet! Would have liked a bath tub in our room and free breakfast like a lot of the other hotels in the area offered!
Great hotel esp the upgrade. Def A must stay hotel for Solvang. We found a brown reclusive huge spider next to our hotel slippers..otherwise enjoyed our stay.
clean, friendly, beautiful rooms, very close to shops. nothing was wrong or bad
the hotel was close to everything. there was nothing to dislike.
We love this place!!!!!!! Couldn't complaint a bit.
Everything was nice. Great location too. Not a thing.
The room was beautiful, comfortable and very reasonable. The staff was pleasant and the breakfast was adequate.
Size of room Sewer smell at times from basin in bathroom Service could have been better like having more than one roll of toilet paper in the room although one brought up half hour after request made. Only 2 cups and 2 glasses in room although room had 4 beds
Complimentary breakfast - nice shower Public restroom off lobby was not cleaned the day before (8/16) so when I went to use it the morning of 8/17 there was no toilet paper. Also, putting a couple with a dog on the 3rd floor (knowing we would have to go out more often for potty times) was not very thoughtful. It would be very helpful to have signs directing people to rooms on the 3rd floor. Most people wandered around carrying heavy luggage trying to find what staircase to go up.
nice hotel, clean, well equipped and decorated. walls are a bit flimsy
The manager Sharon was upset that she didn't have two rooms with two double beds each for our family of four. So she gave us one room with two double beds and two rooms with single double beds for no additional charge. That's service. The breakfast was kind of unhealthy. Buttery eggs, fatty sausage, sugary yogurt, white bread, the typical unhealthy American breakfast. I wish there were oatmeal and fresh fruits as a choice.
location of the hotel. We stayed over 4th of July weekend and they did not require a 3 night stay. We stayed 2 nights. Staff was very good; place is very clean. You can hear people in the room next door.
Nice hotel in a very nice city.
Convenient location. Beautiful gardens and lots of outdoor seating space. Accommodate pets. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with fresh Danish plus a full breakfast. Bathroom was very clean and maid service was daily. Linens were nicer than standard. Room exceptionally small by today's standards. Carpet was dirty and looked gross.
It was a pleasurable experience. Our room was not cleaned on the last day before we left. We had put a do not distrub sign on only till noon as we were getting ready for our son's wedding. We were gone from noon till midnite and at no time did our room get touched or clean towels. The rest of the time was fine and we enjoyed our stay.
Staff was very courteous, rooms were cute and a bit of old world mixed with modern. Will definitely visit again!
The staff was friendly and helpful, but... The clogged toilet and missing electrical outlet cover were just a few of the signs this place is in need of a complete overhaul. The dingy carpets and mismatched furniture further hammer home this point.
Large clean room. Yummy breakfast. Room had a funny smell.
The staff and service were wonderful. The location was the best!
simple easy no problems
It is centrally located in the downtown area. The staff are friendly and gave us all the good recommendations where to go shop, eat and local events. Needs some updating in the interior designing with those huge furniture occupied most the tiny space. The bathroom sink have that foul smell when you turn the faucets. There is no security cameras especially when you are close to a public parking lot.
Great Value. Location is ideal walking distance to downtown Solvang.
Price was right for the amenities offered. The wifi could have been more reliable. It was either not available at all or slower than dial-up 25 years ago. In this day and age, nobody can afford to go on vacation without being at least somewhat connected.
Great value for a great stay. We came in late and they had made special arrangements for us. Free breakfast and nice folks. They also let us park all day after our stay for sightseeing.
the room was very clean. the price was very reasonable. the room had a microwave and small refrigerator that added to its convenience. there were obviously former leaks in the ceiling and the room was very old. it could have used a face lift. the complimentary breakfast consisted of an apple, cereal, very limited pastries, and coffee. they could have expanded it a little bit. no toast, no banana, no waffle.the staff was not rude but cold and brickly.
Comfy beds, nice big bathrooms, great location! Staff was genuinely pleasant and very helpful. Not a thing!
The restaurant was outstanding. The ambiance was intimate, the staff was friendly, warm and professional and the food was superb. The breakfast buffet was sparse. We would have liked more fresh berries, perhaps some low-fat yogurt, a broader selection of toast.
Wonderful inn with stylish Scandinavian decor. Loved the room and the restaurant had great food and service. Didn't have room service
Love the modern but still quaint vibe of the Landsby. I will admit, I am a hotel cleanliness snob, I hate most hotels. However I felt right at home here and everything was clean and comfy. I came with my husband and 2 year old and although he came in like a wrecking ball, the staff was so welcoming and definitely didn't make us feel awkward for his nutty behavior. I cannot wait to return... Especially for a girls trip! Well done LandsbyI I wish early we could check in earlier. With check out being at noon, it doesn't allow for early check in really... But then I guess you could argue that you have more time the next day.
The location. The staff. clean price
The decor and boutique style hotel is what drew me in originally and it did not dissapoint. The location was centrally located and walking distance to just about everything in town.
Quick service. A little stuffy.
The Inn was classy, clean, and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful, providing us with coffee and tea on our arrival, and free passes to wine tastings in the area on our departure. The room was excellent and the location was convenient.
The staff was young, yet pleasant and professional. The ambiance is classic european, and the dinner package was excellent. The bed was not as good as some, and the furniture was a bit worn. The "breakfast" is basically a Danish continental buffet, with ham and hard boiled eggs, breads and pastries, and fruit with juice and coffee. We were hoping for a more complete service.
Lovely rooms, really well appointed & decorated. Would be perfect if it had a pool. The included breakfast was really limited - just cereal and some pastries. Ordering breakfast from the paying menu took a really long time. Despite not being full it took 40 minutes for our food to come.
Center of town Needed room for 2 oueens for guest or a single air bed like aero beds
The location was great! Accommodations were just ok but the location made up for it. Rooms and surroundings definitely need an update. Overpriced it luckily, once again the location somewhat made up for it.
Very clean , surrounded by all the boutiques, places to eat, can walk around everything is local. Very beautiful place to visit.
Convenient walk to all. Room needs updating, TV screen too small, and staff not so friendly.
Su limpieza y excelente ubicación La atención terrible, poco amigable.
Excellent customer service, very attentive staff. Plus free drinks in the lobby! Limited parking.
Nice hotel, right on the same street as most of the shops and restuarants. Friendly staff, very accomodating. Bed was very comfy and the room was clean and well maintained. Toilet is a little on the small and low side, but overall, everythign else was great!
We stayed here because of its close proximity to the winery's in Solvang, and the cute town of Buellton. The hotel was clean, basic, and semi-comfortable bed. Water pressured the shower was good, and no shortage of hot water. Though the room was called a "queen", the bed was full sized. This hotel is like a Motel 6, just enough. We brought a portable did player to plug into the TV HDMI, but that was disabled on the set. They want you to buy their movies. Parking was okay, when the small lot was full, there was close street parking. Overall, you get what you paid for, as this was one of the most affordable places to stay in the tourist town. The continental breakfast had good coffee, and a bunch of carbs. No cereal or fruit.
Staff was friendly upon arrival and check-out. We stayed in a nice studio room with a small kitchen, living room and dinning area. The room looked cleaned. Bed was comfy. Location was good too. The people staying next door to us got very loud late at night, which is a risk you take at any place either way. They seemed to be from a Bachelorette party, so that explains their wildness -_-

I was pleasantly surprised. The room was beautifully decorated, clean and fresh. Loved the English garden. The water in the faucet in the tub would not shut off, we told management about it and they hopefully fixed it...California can't afford to waste water.
Quaint clean little motor court kinda place. Felt like a throwback to the 60's
The location was perfect. Not too far away but not in the center of town. The tile floor is not an inviting quality of a hotel room. The whole room needed to have the walls cleaned. They were very dirty.
We enjoyed the overall charm of the room and the gardens. Very nice. Loved the gas fireplace. The only bad thing was the location. Just a bit too far from the central hub for walking in the winter cold weather.
Was within walking distance to shops and restaurants. No towels in the room when we arrived. The air conditioning had a mind of it's own at times and wouldn't work. Expected more for the price of the room but I'm sure it was a case of supply and demand
Room was large and attractive The so called free breakfast was disappointing. Only cold cereal and Danishes. They ran out of food and drinks before time to stop serving.
The grounds are lush and comfortable. The room was more like a classy apartment than a motel room. Class everywhere. Enjoyed it all.
Absolutely wonderful. If not the best hotel that we have stayed in, a very close second! We were so amazed & pleased with the room & staff; that we are still talking about today! We will definitely stay there again when we stay overhight in Solvang! Not a thing!

It was unique and charming Small Room but still fine
Better than expected for star level. Beauitful location, reasonable price. Walking distance to anything you need. Room opened up to an English Rose Garden. i would stay here again.
They did a great job of making an older property seem modern and stylish! If they can invest in better pillows we'd give it another star.
The room was clean and easily accessible from the parking lot. The inn is located near many shops and restaurants. It's a nice place to stay if you plan on only sleeping in the room and getting out to do things, as there are no amenities. The neighbors were loud as the room is right on the sidewalk between the inn and parking lot. A lot of late night door slamming. The shower was difficult to use and could not be adjusted to a comfortable temperature. A huge spider in the bed nearly ruined the night.
Great room design. Shower had real weak pressure.
Very large rooms, nicely appointed with European touches, very comfortable beds. Personal touches like leaving hand written notes and bananas when staff recognized we were there for century bike event. Within walking distance of everything in Solvang. Parking was a little tight but alternative was available a short distance away. Check in was at nearby motel. This wasn't really a problem but I don't think it was explained on the website; I was informed via email on the day of arrival.
Close to Danish Bakery. Very OVER PRICED .
Location I had a long day of driving and school. When I checked in the room smelled like smoke. Opened the windows to air it out. The shower was dirty. Spider under the sheets. Dirty bed spread. The smell didn't air out. Staff as rude when I asked to move rooms
They gave us cookies and passes for the nearby Danish bakery! And Solvang is quaint! The bed was super hard. It was really just like a cheap motel room.
