Price was cheap There in side pool was closed
Proximity to BYU We called directly for reservations, and they booked us in August instead of September, and billed us as a no-show. When we did arrive and got our key, we opened our room to find it not cleaned. The room they transferred us to had sticky drink rings on the table & top of the fridge. There was a beer bottle top on the carpet. We had 1 bath towel and 2 hand towels. We had to contact the front desk twice to finally get more towels, and we received 3 scratchy pool towels. There was no butter available at the breakfast, one of the employees had misplaced the key to the locked refrigerator where the butter was kept. Overall, poorly maintained and poor service.
The pool was out of order but I had called them prior to booking to make sure they had an indoor pool and a decent continental breakfast and they told me all about how great their pool was but failed to mention it's closed until further notice. What was I supposed to tell my kids? So I just went somewhere else that didn't miss inform me and we had a wonderful time at the Marriott.
It was very quiet, clean, and nicely decorated. It was overall a very nice room, much better than what I was expecting. When I went to check in there was no one at the desk or answering the phone. And the bed was a little stiff.
The location is ideal for access to BYU campus, shopping, the Provo recreation center and Provo downtown (also for access to hiking/skiing in Provo canyon). Low prices through Kayak/Priceline Our window was frozen open when we arrived (and temps outside about 11 degrees). We finally got it closed. In my room there was no thermostat, only a wall heater unit. You would turn it on to "Low" or "High" heat, but it would never self-regulate, so you'd have to get up during the night to turn it off when things got too warm, or to turn it on again as it got too cold. My adult sons were in a room with a thermostat (that worked out better). Breakfast was OK, but the fruit juice ran out and there should have been a better selection of cereals and fresh bagels. Our hall on the second floor had an employee break room and sometimes the whole hall smelled really strongly of fish or burned food.
I loved how fancy the hotel was and the staff was pretty friendly. I paid by the day and so it started out with $51 the first night, then $63, then $79 and finally $146. I guess they wanted me to pay all 4 days at once so I'm not cheated. What else could I do? I wasn't sure WHEN I could go back home!!!!!! Also, the water kept going from hot to cold to hot to cold etc.
Very disappointed super 8 need to take there name off this place not up to there standard. Dirty
the location - breakfast The smell - the TV reception - the loose toilet seat - cheapest toilet paper ever - dirty window -
the location is ideal for parents visiting their students at BYU. the service to my room was non-existent.
Price, location Service was slow
The staff were friendly and helpful and the furnishings were good. The room hadn't been cleaned or vacuumed. The shower. Curtain was so crusted with grime it stunk, and the sink wouldn't drain.
This was the worst hotel experience. The staff was incredibly rude and dismissive. The hotel was extremely dirty. Do not stay here. You will regret it if you do. There are plenty of other hotels within walking distance of BYU that are clean with friendly staff.
