Modern hotel met perfecte locatie aan het cicuit. Mooie, ruime kamer met alle comfort.
the overall quality of the room, TV channels, internet availability, the garage, quiet, location during breakfast, there clearly was understaffing due to unexpected last minute bookings. The lady on duty did what she could and stayed friendly, but we had to exercise patience to find the food or drink we wanted. During dinner there was only one set menu at 35 Euro in the restaurant; they said there had been some technical problems in the kitchen.
Neat the track of Spa Francorchamps -
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast and early enough for the early start required for the race circuit. Shower water in my room did not evacuate properly - blocked out pipe I guess. Otherwise all fine.
Position of the hotel and the staff A little pricey for whats on offer
Hospitality, kindness. Restaurant prices are a bit exaggerated
Most rooms are in a high-tech new building, with windows on the (arguably not busy) road. This is fine, but bears no relation to the pictures on the site, which give the impression of an old, romantic hotel in a secluded garden.
The Hotel is one of the best I have stayed in. Not cheap but worth the price. The welcome was excellent and personal by the co-proprietor. It is set in nice grounds in a lovely village with interesting historical features. The rooms, interior and cuisine were superb, as was the level of service.
Owner very welcoming. Clean & comfortable fine dining and ambiant atmosphere. I would book in a future trip.
Enjoying the countryside
Personable and helpful staff, good food.
The staff is very gentle, speaks at least 3 different languages, explains the service of the hotel very well, we felt very good there, they take care of you!
Modern room, good restaurant, nice people. Very noise rooms, uncomfortable toilet seat.
Very friendly staff and hotel in a pretty location Nothing to complain about really as the hotel is inexpensive so dont expect fantastic luxury, it is basic, comfortable, clean, good food and friendly staff.
Excellent location, environment is relaxing and pittoresque and right next to the Plopsa Coo family park. Rooms are clean. Hotel restaurant is quite nice with riverside tables, food is reasonable quality. Very nice terrace connected to the room (18) although this probably isn't the case for all rooms. The rooms could do with some renovation. In the bathroom the shower was leaking quite badly and the hot/cold water was irregular in temperature. The wallpaper was loosening in some places. Its not horrible, but could be a lot better.
The food was very good, nicely presented and the waiter seemed to care about service Bed linen. Would prefer to have cotton sheets but it was not to bad
very good, busy spot, but seperate carpark at rear which was more secure for the classic car we travelled in Mainly the cost of the room which was quoted at 70 euro per night, but we ended up being charged 90 euro per night - they need to sort this out!!!
Pleasant surroundings, the F1 race circuit was 20 minutes away, restruant was good, with a wide selection of european style food, no english cards but we were able to work out selection, staff has limited english did very well to meet our needs; room comfortable; overall a positive experience No
Good service at the restaurant and well prepared food. No problems arranging an extar bed since the Grand Lit was to small. Huge balkony.
this is a very pleasent hotel. ideal for the spa race track and only 4hrs from calais. i will be using this hotel again.
location chairs were not comfortable, bouncy castle for children was dangerous and play room was not suitable for young children.
Nice location Got locked out of room!! No staff at hotel on our return at 11p.M.!! Had to sleep in another room!! Total rubbish.
Excellent location. Normal health and safety precautions nill. Phillipe Constant, proprietor, uncaring and totally lacking in consideration, concern and normal social graces. Healthy, fit and active husband returned home shatter, nerv ous wreck thanks to this hotel. Not sure if we would even consider a future holiday. Where were hotel inspectors???It is not the only odd steps left like this in building. The first afternoon of our holiday my husband fell headlong down two unmarked and without any warning steps bwteen beddroom and entrance hall, cracking eyebrow and nose on corner of wardrobe 10 feet away with full force of his 13 stone weight. 5Hours later he collapsed, unconscious and was hospitalised.Xrays of shoulder and brain scan confirmed, thankfully, no clot or bleed to brain. 11 days later very ill and gp told him 'a couple of inches to one side your head would have been split open and you could have been killed.' Floor covering in entrance hall, on steps and room matched; in dim light difficult to see and when coming in from daylight impossible to see until eyes adjusted.
Friendly owner, beautiful decor, sumptuous breakfast. Our room was the smallest one and not as posh as the others (but still very nice).
Hotel Dufays is a small boutique hotel, beautifully decroated with excellent facilities inside and out. The owners, Ad and Frank, are friendly welcoming and always willing to be helpful, whther making a dinner reservation or giving ideas for trils around the area. The room we stayed in was very large and wonderfully decorated. In addition, we took our dog and she was welcomed by the wners, just as much as they welcomed us. The hotel is a gem and a real find. We plan a return visit to the hotel and are highly recommending it to friends.
The atmosphere in the hotel was second to none, and the service and welcome were impeccable, espeacially the dogs.
Extremely helpful service from the manager from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The price was extremely high for what was, ultimately, a bed and breakfast service.
Excellent buffet breakfast, quirky but tasteful interior decoration, peace and quiet, knowledgeable host, sense of history.
The friendly welcome by the owner. The uniqueness of the rooms. The views were fantastic. Everything was so clean. The music at breakfast. Nothing
i liked the rooms, the animals, the staff, the breakfast, the sunny garden a little noise from the street, when we had the window open. when closed, it was no problem
we felt like friends not like guests no TV in the room
Stavalot is a very nice little town and the hotel itself is very comfortable and stylishly decorated.
The manager and staff were extremely friendly and helpful despite limited communication as we don't speak much French and they didn't speak much English. Room was basic, but modern, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was substantial for a 'continental' breakfast. The evening meal was very good and great value for money. We would have no hesitation recommending this hotel and hope to return here sometime.
Beautifully furbished – but small – rooms. Don’t be put off by the eccentric exterior of the building. Free wifi. Friendly owner. On street parking is free overnight. Very basic continental breakfast.
This hotel meets anybody's requirement, from Family and Budget to Business travellers. Relatively cheap in price we strongly recommend this place. There were no bad points about this hotel, just all Positive !
the area around the hotel the blankets stink, too small room,"poor '' breakfast for 4* hotel
Very relaxing as we could come back in the afternoon after a heavy program of touring the Bulge battle areas Poor wi-fi
All I can say is that I loved it. Food was expensive for the lobby sitting area for dinner.
Hotel staff were very kind and always give service with smile. One morning we were late for breakfast and the staff were kind enough to reserve a table for us with food. Swimming pool room were too hot and stuffy with a weird scent. There was no curtain or a door in our bath door so if you come with families it is a bit weird.
Spacious A frame bungalow and quiet location
Great location, value, and the apartment was excellent. Parking fees were high.
wonderful location, helpful and courteous staff, clean facilities
Very helpfull staff, clean room/pool/surroundings. Very nice hotel, I would recommend this. Shower head pressure in room was to weak, difficult to control hot water in the shower.
The friendliness, the food and the location to Spa Racing circuit. The room was clean, functional and well maintained.
Very handy for the motor racing circuit at Spa francorchamps
Friendly staff, good restaurant Hotel for fans of auto/motorsport
None Be very wary of the booking policy. I cancelled a week in advance (because the circuit was closed) and they still took the full price of the stay from my credit card.
The room was great---nice for three adults. It was a little hard to find where to check in to the hotel at, but once we did the people were very friendly.
Warm welcome, friendly staff, clean and modern rooms. Would recommend
The hotel was small (only 6 bedrooms on the 1st floor), and had a very nice Italian restaurant/pizzeria underneath on the ground floor. Also, it was situated just half a kilometre from the entrance to the Spa motor racing circuit. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms.
An easy stay if you are planning to go to Spa Francorchamps - 2 minutes from the track entrance. Pizza Reesteraunt downstairs is good value Parking not good if you want security for your vehicle
Very well maintained rooms, great location and a very good Italian restaurant below it. The rooms were quite warm, there was no airco available.
damn church bells every 30 minutes
I enjoyed great dinner
Well presented hotel, excellent restaurant, good service, very clean and fairly quiet location with well presented and spacious gardens. Very friendly staff. dangerous staircase to second floor. Difficult to find reception staff.
Delightful, friendly and helpful people who own/run the hotel. Outstandingly good food, served with great style. Lovely terrace & grounds. On site parking. Disappointed that our double room had two single beds pushed together. We were offered a different room with a double bed, but the one available was not en suite.
Staff where very helpful and friendly.
The hotel is beautifully located with a pleasant garden, has an excellent restaurant and the building has a romantic character. Staff is efficient and pleasant.
This hotel is awesome. Great room, super friendly service, superb restaurant. The only downside is that it is a bit 'out of the way' which is to say that you have to go a few kms to any major centre (like Spa). If you want to relax, eat good food and fine wine at reasonable prices, take pleasant walks and don't mind a 10 minute trip to Spa, you will love this place.
Beautiful Hotel with an interesting history in a historic location. Would have been a great value if the Dollar was stronger...
The dinner was fantasticat at only 32 Euros. A vast selection of wines were availanle.
A very warm welcome,
Very friendly and helpful owner, excellent food in restaurant subject to giving adequate notice of intention to dine Some of our party complained of noisy rooms, wi-fi coverage was in lounge only and did not extend to rooms
The Hotelier was most welcoming. The menu is extensive and the quality of the cuisine is excellent.
The Hotel was very quiet and the surroundings. very peaceful and attractive. Plenty of parking space and quite convenient. Too expensive for what you got compaired to Ibis Hotels or one of their chain of Hotels.
The owner was very helpful and the food excellent. Situated just outside Malmedy reflects the very reasonable cost and makes for easier parking. Very near Spa race track. None
confortable, clean and reasnable hotel
We received an extremely welcoming and friendly reception. Small menu but excellent food. Large and comfortable room with good bathroom. Very handy for Spa Francorchamps circuit. Nothing.
