I enjoyed the room, great value for money with everything you need. The restaurant is very reasonable also. The distance from the city center is the only downside but only a minor one as taxi's are readily available
Beds werent very comfortable. sometimes we got 2 bath towels, other days only 1. sometimes hot choc and biscuits, sometimes not. had to ask after 6 days to change sheets. beds were made TERRIBLY.Looked like they had been made by a 15 year old BOY.
good location and the rooms were quiet... the shower curtain was moldy... definately needs to be replaced... also was unable to get room service one evening and was told they were 'too busy'...
Staff are excellent, good road links
Access to Manchester city by bus. Adequate, well prepared room and comfortable environment. Noise from function room a bit concerning.
Food was good in the restaurant Hotel staff, while not rude were not accommodating to travelers. Even though we were just an over-night stay, there were so many instances of unhelpful staff that to list them one would say we were making them up. Additionally, the water pressure was the lowest of any hotel we stayed in while in europe, we could not easily find out how to call the desk, the coffee in the room was old, the elevator was rough and jerky, linen carts were left full of dirty bedding in the main floor hall just out side the elevator all day...
Weren't told what time breakfast etc was and where to go. We weren't informed about room service, and staff could have been more helpful.
taxi service very good. very cold in hotel bar.
The best thing about our stay was probably the secure carpark and the lovely reception area. Shame about the rest really! I am disabled and asked the chap on the desk to bring my bags up. I also asked for a 2nd key which i had already asked abut when i had previously phoned. After 45 mins my luggage hadnt been brought up so I went down in the lift myself and tried to struggle with my luggage until the chap saw me and hurried to my assistance, apologizing profusely. I asked about the 2nd key again and he said he would bring it up within the next 10 mins. An hour later I still didn't have the key so as I was on my way out I asked again and he gave me an extra one. The bathroom was tiny, very hard for a young disabled lady to manage and the furniture was old and scruffy looking as was the rest of the hotel decor, not fitting in with the modern looking reception.
They've assigned me the wrong room number, resulting in another guest coming over my room in the middle of the night, then the guy from the reception desk waking me up again to double check my booking, then he again asking some extra cash to be delivered due to some mistake in their system. Really cheesy hotel with miserable looks and room condition. It's not near the Airport at all. Expensive. Avoid it if possible.
i liked the reception area and my bathroom was nice the room was to small and looked cheap compared to the pictures i seen on the internet and the window wouldnt open
Good position: near the centre and reasonable price
The large room, very big bed and a good shower. The breakfast.
Really lovely staff who fostered a welcoming atmosphere Could do with larger secured storage
Facilities were basic but adequate. Friendly and informal. I did not like the fact that the dormitories were mixed. I ended up being the only female in a dormitory of men. I found out next morning that another guy was a lone guy in a dormitory of girls. Surely it would make more sense to allocate all females to one dorm and all males to another.
Pleasant, helpful, knowledgeable, informative staff. Clean and tidy. The bed was big enough for the two of us but was somewhat lacking in comfort. The kitchen was not particularly appealing. Unfortunately the location of the hotel makes it subject to noisey traffic - particularly buses. [Our recommendation would be subject to these comments.]
Staff Friendliness and also having a kitchen were you could make yourself a tea or coffee 24 hours a day.
I've stayed in budget accommodation before and I must say this is the best I have seen. I paid extra to have my own double en-suite room and I recommend it to anyone, very comfortable and clean. Dragging my suitcase up/down lots of stairs!
The stuff is very helpfull, the hostel very clean and 5 minutes walk from the canter of Manchester.. Will visit again!
Basic budget accommodation, clean and tidy with friendly atmosphere and helpful staff
The bed was so comfortable and very friendly atmosphere with staff. Facilites are great and up-to-date. The amount of stairs, but good for fitness levels I suppose!
relaxed atmosphere The hotel & facilities are getting tired - worn carpets, shabby gymn, etc.
The food in the restaurant was of a pretty good standard and the breakfast had a good selection. The room was of a poor quality and looked extremely tired with stains on the carpets. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and gave me backache. There was peeling wallpaper in the public areas and a bucket in the hall way collecting dripping water. This does not warrant 3 stars.
Convenient location in need of a makeover
Hotel in desperate need of refurbishment - inside and out.
Very friendly staff Old fashioned rooms, small bathrooms
1 night was not long enough to say
Rooms were nice and in the evenings we more or less had the pool, jacuzzi and saunas to ourselves Queues at the reception which, with only one person there, you couldn't avoid even if it was just to get a second room key.
When i payed my bill i was overcharged the lady in the reception was unable to give me a refund .I had to go to see the reception the next day for my refund .Staff need training on how to deal with customers problems
Rooms where really nice, staff vey helpful. No aircon
Good and pleasant location over the last 20 years have stayed at the Belfry many times but not so many recently as I did not need a room in a hotel in the area I was in room 411 which is a good room - but to get to it the lift one uses is an antique - if one does not properly shut the inner gate, then it works for no one. The stripy black & white carpet on the 4th floor is not pleasant to look at. The passageway from reception to the lift is unlike anything I have experienced elsewhere. It is narrow and one winds around quite a bit.
Location, Loverly rooms, everything you need, great secure car park.
lovely Decor in rooms bathroom was very claustophobic and not very clean
Friendly staff and good service, clean rooms, central location
The convenience of the location and the spaciousness of the apartment
Good location, right next to Picadilly Train Station. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which was lovely,
we took our in-laws with us they are in there 70s and the fact they where made up with there en-suite room made the weekend special for us we will definately be staying at the Place again.
breakfast was good.convenient for the shops/shows/meals etc our room was in need of a re-vamp.it smelt fusty especiall in the lounge, this may have been the suite?. There was no dish cloth or washing up liquid. The breakfast room was too warm. I Ieft a phone charger there and rang to see if had been found but no one returned my call!.
The holiday feel from having a room that overlooked the atrium with its palm trees. It was so quiet.
The penthouse appartment was amazing value.
The rooms were very spacious and clean, and the apartment was close to all of the main shops and bar areas.
Friendly staff, clean hotel, nice room, lovely food.
The location of the hotel for concerts in the MEN is excellent. Nice to be able to eat in the hotel late in the evening. Limited menu but what e had was good,
Excellent breakfast, nicely designed rooms Rooms weren't as clean as they should have been, Bar staff were very unprofessional
Excellant modern hotel. Friendly staff 1 person dealing with checking out on a sunday morning after a full hotel the night before due to a big concert
Chosen only due to its relative comfort and city position. No redeeming features. Lack of breakfast - given the inflated city room price.
Central location and local transport links. Only 2 minutes walk to main shopping area. Breakfast was a bit disorganised. They regularly ran out of items such as bread, butter, marmalade, juices, cereals etc.
Bed and bedding comfortable. Perfect location for a visit to the MEM Arena The catering staff's inability to understand basic english, very difficult to communicate.
Location, and the quietness through the night
It was very central for the MEN and for shopping and the leisure facilities were brilliant
The convenience to the station and MEN which is why we chose to stay there, its cleanliness was spot on and the bed and pillows were fantastic
Hotel is just a few minutes away by foot from terminal 1 and the railway startion via a covered walkway Irritating that the batteries on the TV remote control were flat and the TV itself was perched on top of the wardrobe, no programme guide available.
Liked the style of the hotel. Would love to stay there again Money permitting
Radisson Blu is well attuned to international travelers from the architecture to the amenities it provides. The ease of accessing the airport made it the perfect pre-flight hotel.
The service was excellent. We were aided a number of times by Dean, part of your staff. It seemed to need a fresh look. Floors and carpets looked used and old.
location room was a bit tired
Super close to the airport, clean, comforatable. Perfect if you're traveling, otherwise there are better options location wise in Manchester!
no hot water in shower
Clean quiet beautiful room. Friendly efficient staff .. Best night of sleep in my entire journey
Convenience to the airport terminals and the efficiency and friendliness of the staff. Car parking was awkward and the prices in the restaurant and bar were very high. We arrived late and there was nothing reasonably priced to eat.
The location was perfect for an early flight out of Manchester. The staff was very friendly, which to me is the important part of any hotel stay. The place was clean, but there was a long brown hair on the wall of the shower and a really funky smell in one of the pillows, like mold and sweat. Not pleasant, luckily there were three other pillows available.
Excellent location. Directly connected to the train station and terminals via closed overhead walkway. Expensive restraurant, but it is at the airport and it is in England.
This was the perfect place to stay the night before my flight. Comfortable, clean hotel with perfect airport location.
A great place to stay if you're flying in late in the evening or flying out early in the morning. Only a few hundred metres away from the terminals and the railway station. The service was a bit impersonal. Then again, I guess you shouldn't expect much if you're only staying for one short night.
Very clean and efficient. Good service with the shuttles to the airport. The bar could have had more ambience. Seemed a little sterile
Quietness even though close to airport. Spacious, comfortable room and good food available.
Had a very nice meal
Very convenient for airport and car rental. Will accept early arrivals. Excellent full breakfast. Some rooms are not up to par - smell and have been patched up. There is no air conditioning so it can be bad on a hot day. They will supply a fan, if you ask.
Close to the airport I thought I was booked into the Crown Plaza next door. I arrived a was greeted with a smile. Since it was 10am they had no problem allowing me an early check in...then I realized my company booked me in Bewleys :( Different experience altogether..check in lady was Eastern Europe...not very friendly and recited the welcome greeting with teeth clenched. Then I asked if I could check in early having flown 25 hours. Yes for 20 pounds...OK no problem. I had already paid in advance for the hotel and because my credit card would not work in the machine I had to go and find a cash machine for 20 pounds which meant driving into the nearest town. Then was advised there was a charge for parking and breakfast! Honestly, if you are traveling long distance and prepaid your room I would like to think that for 20 pounds they could have let me had a shower first before my meeting that afternoon!! I will be staying at the Crown Plaza next time for sure. Ho, and the gym was terrible...one bike one tred mill and thats it!
Free Wifi No ice machine
I liked the room, the bed, and the large bar/lounge/dining room. The price goes up every time I book. The mini-bus transportation, even though it requires booking, seems a bit of a free for all when waiting to board the bus, leading me to believe that the number of bookings do not match the number of seats!
Convenient to the airport with a good restaurant The only thing I could complain about is no one advised us that the heating/cooling system was turned off in our room upon arrival.
It was close to the airport and they have a 24 hr shuttle However, the shuttle was late, like 40 minutes, and we had to call twice to make sure they were coming. The room was old. Like 1975 orange couch old
Slow checkin. Cost of car park seemed excessive charge. Comfort.
location unsatisfactory bed factory eating set up
I liked the plentiful hot water and good toiletries. I enjoyed the quietness of the room. The airport "shuttle bus" service was EXCELLENT. It was prompt and courteous. HOWEVER - it would have been useful if I had been informed about the shuttle service when I made my reservation. There is NO information at the railway station and the hotel "hotline" phones are in disrepair which meant that I had to wander around quite late at night looking for information that would direct me to the HILTON . The bathroom sink did NOT empty out - there was 'standing water' for a considerable length of time before it finally drained away. The bed mattress was not particularly comfortable and the skimpy bottom sheet kept pulling out of place - it needs to be a fitted sheet. The TV instructions were a little confusing - I never did figure out the "Morning wake-up call" system.
Room was clean and well-presented and bathroom came with nice toiletries and fluffy towels. Front desk staff were very helpful when we found we had left our toothbrushes behind they had toothbrushes to us within 5 minutes! Airport/train transport was quick and efficient. Given its proximity to the airport it would be helpful to have in-room USB charging. We had left our plug converters with family and were unable to charge our phones/devices till we returned to the US.
Easy access from motorway network. Easy parking and very helpful staff. I've stayed twice and would definitely stay again. The food at dinner was inconsistent . For example one starter was wrong and the fruit salad was low quality and terribly presented. On the other hand main courses were good - inconsistent for a brand of Hilton's reputation.
The proximity of the hotel to the airport, the free shuttle service, the price offered via the web site The cracked basin in the bathroom, and the hole in the carpet in the room.
Good business hotel, warm and friendly staff, 5 mins from terminal expensive wifi just because I didn't book direct - it's a standard feature thesedays to at least offer a free basic connection - Hilton: please accept that most customers will use price comparison sites out of convenience rather than booking direct.
very convenient for manchester airport, very comfortable, helpful and friendly staff and good breakfast
Excellent Even though you can see the hotel from the Airport terminal, it is difficult to walk to as there are some roads in the way which are difficult to cross. In the evening you must ring the hotel for the shuttle to fetch you. Difficult if you do not have a mobile.
Free shuttle to airport, close to train station, helpful staff Need more outlets
Good shuttle to airport. Service in the bar was poor. Wifi in room had weak/intermittent signal and was unusable.
Close proximity to the Manchester airport. 24 hour shuttle service to airport. The hotel had no record of our reservation, but the situation was handled well and rectified.
Good hotel, quiet and restaurant on site. Staff were efficient and pleasant. Would stay again. No complaints
Convenient to airport. Afternoon coffee and tea stupid expensive
Central location Vert tatty decor, room very small for the price
Relaxed atmosphere in a convenient location for shopping, restauarants and bars. Bathroom clean, but looked a bit old & tired.
went to the take that concert
That it was close to a place that we wanted to visit
Great location Our room was quite narrow and had a strange smell, really small faults.
Leaving The room.
The room was comfortable, the shower amazing and service / breakfast great. We also really enjoyed the pool / sauna after breakfast and found the check in/ check out times really reasonable so we were not rushing. Also we booked a twin room as a double was not available but then when we came to check in we were given the option of a double which was just what we wanted. The only negative comment I wqould make would be regarding the size of the pool you definitely cant use it for swimming as exercise as it's way too small!!
An excellent breakfast with very pleasant staff. We found the bed a bit uncomfortable.
the staff were excellent very friendly and informative, nothing was too much trouble bathroom door did not shut to! room 636
Breakfast was brilliant! N/A
City centre location No valet parking
The staff were exceptionally helpful, very modern hotel with a batchelor pad feel to the rooms! Very convienent for Manchester city centre and shopping areas No Swimming pool in health resort
Comfortable bed and pillows.
Bedrooms gorgeous & food delicious. There was no explanation of the breakfast choices in the hotel room, would have also liked some DVDs available for the DVD player.
Very helpful staff, good location, nice room and good value
the room was extremelly comfortable and clean
I liked the hotel room, very spacious, clean and a large bed!
decor is fantastic, all the staff we encountered were absolutely lovely. This was without doubt one of the best hotel experiences I've had.
Stylish, & an excellent location.
Just back from the yha , great location , rooms good size and clean , beds very comfy . Would recommend this to any one going to Manchester . Bar prices are good for bottled beers £2.30 for stella and becks corona £2.60 which you ll stuggle to pay in city centre bars . Never tried the food but a great choice on the menus and very good prices . Ten minute walk to nearest bars in the Deansgate area , good bars and that at Deansegate locks , resturants are 5 minute walk round the corner .
location in central Manchester Room was a dump - wardrobe door hanging off.
Loverly hotel, made feel very welcome, Heating in room too hot unable to turn down. Inform staff did give us a fan in mins but still mafting. We went into the jenny's about 6.00pm for a cavery. The food came out of the kitchen was cold,we informed staff.
The magnificent central staircase and the general grand appearance of the interior. Our first room was very small. The shower did not work. The radio via the TV did not work. There was a nasty stain on the carpet. Extra towels were hidden in the wardrobe. As this room was on the ground floor we kept awake by the nightclub.
Closeness to team and stadium.
Being close to the centre of town and the men Arena, which was why I chose it. There was a wedding party in the hotel that night so there was quite a lot of noise, and we could hear everything that was happening next door.
Poor wifi availability, and poor connection even in the public areas. The toilet in my room didn't flush properly, I had to 'pump' it to get it to flush. Very dated overall. Breakfast was very average. Very over priced for the quality.
Everything outside of my room My room! tiny, wallpaper falling off, mold on ceiling, rust on bath. Rank!
It was close to the centre which made it easy to get to the shops etc
Convenience for locality to Bridgewater hall where I was performing in a concert that evening! There was a wedding party on in the main function suite which was fine but which seemed to take over the whole hotel!
The great staff.excellent breakfast, very central what small faults in room were corrected very quickly,
entrance and hall very imposing room and halls on 5th floor could be better maintained
As usual the breakfast is really good as is the location The room didn't have a window, issues with the air conditioning being red hot, the beds were rock hard and general up keep and cleansiness of the bathroom is well below standard
Yes I just wish it was cheaper so I could have ate a breakfast and I also wish it could have been kept on longer as drinking the night before and early breakfasts are just not supoosed to fit together. So to sum it up, I think the cost of the brekkie should be included in the main price I payed and it should be untill at least 11:00am finish on a weekday.
It was an enjoyable weekend. The bar man on Friday/Saturday & Sunday Night was outstanding.
Game Old Trafford No
excellent service, promt checking in and out and very friendly staff no
Everything! The hotel is in a great location, the staff are friendly and helpful and hotel was clean, comfortable and very up-to-date.
Stayed before-restaurant is excellent.Lovely building,just upgrading rooms.Love the place,definitely returning(again)
Fabulous location, gorgeous room, luxury bathrobes provided, excellent freshly cooked breakfast, helpful, friendly staff, quiet and peaceful ambience throughout hotel. Although quality toiletries, only bare minimum provided - no shower cap, hair conditioner or body lotion provided.
The hotel staff were excellent, welcoming and friendly and for a night out in Alderley Edge, its location is perfect. The room, despite being nicely decorated and pretty well equipped, was very small and really only suitable for one person.
beautiful garden, close to village with good restaurants, excellent service small room. no air conditioning. musty smell in room
Staff - helpful, courteous, efficient Restaurant - absolutely outstanding, the best meal I have ever had (and I've eaten in some world class restaurants) Temperature of room: it was very warm. I am from a subtropical climate, so if I think it's warm, it is. There was only a small window, poorly located, and the room received most of the day's sunlight.
The breakfast was great!
That all the members of staff were very friendly when we arrived at the hotel. That we had to keep the fan on throughout the night in our room as it was to warm in the room, and we had bad headaches in the morning.
convenient, staff were friendly the breakfast wasn't very good
Close proximity to Airport
Comfort, ease of parking., location and cleanliness would return nothing
The food of the restaurant was excellent and he room was very clean. I think that the reception must be more carefull with the payments.
over all everything was satisfactiry none
Hospitality made by hotel staff Poor rooms & not enough activities/place to sit in at night (restaurants, Bars, etc)
Clean and good location Very small rooms and tiny bathroom
Friendly staff and airport shuttle bus.
I thought £50 for a Saturday night was a fair price to pay, and the price is what made us choose the hotel over others in the area. The room was nicely furnished and clean. The housekeeper wanted to clean our room half an hour before we were due to check out which was a bit annoying since we had paid for the room until 11am. The reception desk seemed to be very busy all the time, during check in, when we wanted to book a taxi later on, and the following morning at check out there were long queues. The bathroom, although clean, was very small.
staff, location, breakfast small room, bed was not so confortable. cleaning ok but could be improved
Rooms neat and tidy Beds maybe need to be replaced as they were not the best - way to soft
I found this hotel to be excellent and strongly reccomend it to anyone. The staff are fabulous and incredibly helpful especially for international travellers.
Clean and comfortable Noisy students(?) partying till late in the courtyard on the ground floor
Room was basic and bathroom small, shower only had a curtain so water ended up on bathroom floor
Location Room was small
friendly staff , lovely breakfast, very clean rooms.
Nice place, very impressive and helpful staff at reception, will come back again in the future.
food,comfort,easy access to transport
your staff kindness no visible sign outside...difficult to find...
This was my second stay at the hotel. I find it excellent & reccomend it to anyone.
good allround, simple rooms, everything worked and was clean + near the rail station. one staff member was very irritated when i asked for a receipt after paying cash for an extra night and no internet access afterall, (although local library was geat for that!)
friendly helpful receptionist Lift had been broken for a week and still not repaired - we were on the 3rd floor - fortunately we were only staying one night as we were in Hale for a wedding. There was no parking on site. Street parking was payable from 8.00am.
Quiet rooms with comfortable beds The local car park details in the hotel were out of date and dispite their bochure saying every room had a trouser press I could not find one in room 116
The service was very good and an excellent buffet breakfast was available. The location was also very convenient. It would have been better if there was a private hotel for customers as we had to park in the supermarket car park and there did seem to be a problem with gangs in the vacinity of the hotel. I think this was because it was a Friday night. We have previously visited on a sunday and it was very quiet.
Availability at a time of high demand and proximity to airport The room was in the middle of being re-decorated, smelled of paint, window was open to try and clear fumes and room had been pressed back into service to take advantage of high demand
