The setting was very pretty with beautiful lawns surrounding a large pond. They provided chairs to sit out and enjoy the area. They even provided kayaks and a canoe to take out on the pond. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good and it was very nice to eat in the formal dining room. The floors were not very clean. Our stairway could use a coat of paint.
It's on mountain, lobby is gorgeous. If you can find anyone who works here they are super nice. Indoor pool is "a short drive away." Rooms are holiday Inn quality- nothing wrong with them but dated and very meh. Offseason I'm pretty sure only 2 people work there and can never be found.
Very cool place, friendly staff, clean rooms, excellent and clean, newly renovated bathrooms. Felt like a stay in a bedroom of an old house instead of the typical hotel room which makes it a unique and enjoyable stay. Great price and location to Sugarloaf compared to other hotel options in the area. Will gladly stay again and again for future ski trips to the area. No TV, but that is a deliberate decision of the hotel to keep with the old-timey theme.
Comfortable beds, nice manager and beautiful lobby and entrance No vending machine with snacks, everything in town closes so early it could be helpful to know for the future.
