You have to ask for the renovated rooms and they are fine It is quiet expensive
Helpful and friendly staff Room next to the walking way where people came in and went out
the convention with open bar and band that played untill 3am. the loud drunks partying in the hallway and the empty bottles and glasses left there. inability to get through the open bar area to get to our rooms with our luggage in tow. the full parking lot. indefference of the staff to these problems (what do you want if you don't want complaints?)
Nice and clean bathroom Nice view Excellent breakfast buffet
Big room, nice views from the window, standard hotel
Beautiful hotel, Clean and very comfortable. The staff is amendable! Ok the view!
Excellent location, room nicely appointed Front desk service hard to find. Hotel restaurant closed to guests one night.
Clean hotel, room very comfortable. Breakfast was good., Only sign for the hotel was on the flag out front. Hard to read the flag.
It was a good stay. They were very accomodating to us (for example, they let us check in quite early). The breakfast ws delicious. A good place to start a trip around Snaefellsness. The hotel itself is needing a little bit of repair but was very clean.
Nice sized room, hot tub. Pricey compared to similar hotels in Iceland. Very very noisy as there was a group of young people there at the same time.
Cozy, warm helpful staff, fine location on the Snaefellenes peninsula No
The location of the hotel is great, in the heart of a small Icelandic community, but most of all the owners were so welcoming and friendly. They even made sure we saw the Northern Lights, and what a display it was! I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone touring around Iceland or for a longer stay. The surrounding scenary is fantastic, and the Snaefellness area is great for driving, walking and nature-watching.
We really loved the location -- from the hot tub, you can hear the waves crashing. While we were there (in the hot tub), we were able to see the Northern Lights! It was great! The staff was friendly, breakfast included (among an ample amount of other things) home made muffins. :)
Friendly staff, excellent restaurant.
We spent only one night, as we were passing through the area, but it was a very pleasant stay. We arrived just a few minutes before the hotel restaurant was scheduled to close, but they did not hurry us at all, and we had a very pleasant meal. The proprietor was very nice in helping carrying our luggage up the winding staircase to our second-floor room, which was quite generous in size. The room and bath were very clean, and our only complaint was that the shower was a bit tight and didn't have a place to put our toiletries. Breakfast was the typical, but completely adequate, cold continental breakfast. Would stay there again and would definitely recommend.
Very small room
Nice little hotel close to the port. Its more a B&B than an Hotel I think. Hotel is next to a fish company. It smells pretty much out side and sometimes inside. Its more a B&B and the price is like everywere in Iceland fare to high.
Owners very friendly and helpful. Quiet atmosphere, nicest place in the area.
excellent meals, sauna and hot-tub were a pleasant surprise.
Lovely rooms, friendly atmosphere, great staff and the best food in Iceland!!!
This place was great! Given the limited options in the area, we were a bit apprehensive about booking this guesthouse, but it was a pleasant surprise. All 7 rooms were booked with other travelers (mostly European couples about age 25-50) and there were 2 full bathrooms we all shared. The guesthouse has a lovely atrium dining room which overlooks the fjord. We stayed here until 11pm drinking wine we had brought and watching the sky change colors. Icelandic horses roam the fields nearby and there were people playing golf on the nearby course even at 1030pm. It's clean and quiet. Breakfast was ok, your usual icelandic bfast of cold cuts, cheese, hard boiled eggs, jam, and toast. The owner/proprietor was friendly and efficient. I'd stay here again! The only thing is that the floors are concrete and echoey, you can hear everyone opening and shutting their doors late and night and early AM. Bring earplugs or a white noise app on your smartphone.
