10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was abundant and delicious. We chose from half a dozen main breakfast courses, which came with fresh fruit. The place was immaculately clean and the hosts were very knowledgeable about the local area, recommending numerous hikes and winery visits. With their generous recommendations we wasted no time. As for the location, it couldn't have been better. Lovely view, breakfast on a veranda with a view of town, lake, and mountains. I'm confident we'll make a return visit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic view overlooking Penticton and lake. Great breakfast. Rowena and Fred are terrific hosts who enjoy meeting people.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our hosts were fantastic. They were so warm, welcoming, friendly and helpful. Rowena is a Red Seal Chef and has taught culinary arts. The breakfasts were outstanding. Rowena also treated us to some home made salsa one evening and some incredible chocolate cake on another occasion. Their home is absolutely beautiful and very tastefully decorated. There is a gorgeous view from the deck. It was just a tad too cool to have breakfast on the deck when we were there, but no doubt we will be able to experience that on another occasion. I will most definitely stay here again. I definitely felt we got true value for money, but most importantly it was great to meet and spend time with Fred and Rowena.
Cons: Our room was a bit cold, but there was a heater in the room that heated the room in minutes, so I would hardly even call this comment a complaint. There really is nothing to dislike about Rowena's Retreat.

Pros: We have stayed in a few B&B style places but E'Laysa exceeded our expectations. It is extremely well located on the Naramata Bench close to wineries and restautants. The property is spectacular with beautiful gardens and vinyards. The hostess has provided a unique experience with incredible hospitality and warm, comfortable accomodation and lots of opportunity to interact with other guests. And Raphael and Gusto, the resident ambassadors are great. This is a remarkable property and it will be our go to in the Penticton area.
Cons: There is nothing about this property we didn't like.
7.0 Good
Pros: The spacious beautifully landscaped property with many locations to relax, including a spectacular view spot. Very pleasant outdoor seating areas for breakfast. The breakfasts were good. The location near the KVR is great.
Cons: Cleanliness of cottage, in and out, could have been better. Bad odour just outside cottage. Steep loose gravel road and path to cottage could be a little risky for older people. Proper base rock surface would solve this problem. Although very spacious, the layout of the lower cottage is not ideal.

Cons: nothing.

Pros: Ursula and Otto were very charming and helpful hosts. The breakfast quality and options were wonderful. The location is in a quiet neighbourhood, but a short drive to downtown Penticton or a good base for wine tasting or other activities. You are in a one level house, so you share main access with the hosts, who are very friendly and willing to help you for dinner or other recommendations.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfasts were "gourmet" as far as my wife Angela and I are concerned. We thoroughly enjoyed them, absolutely! We almost could not finish all of the wonderful food we were provided, it was so much. In terms of location, it was nice to be in a quiet residential setting only a few minutes from the downtown area where we were interested in exploring.
Cons: The worst part of the experience for us was having to say "Goodbye" to our hosts, Otto and Ursula. From the moment we arrived at their front door they treated us essentially as if we were their actual family members! Wonderful people!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ursula and Otto are a most welcoming couple, making sure you feel at home and checking frequently to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Breakfast was delicious with several options to choose from. Particularly enjoyed the conversations with our hosts.

The Greek restaurant was excellent. The room/bed was very comfortable with a nice ensuite. The air conditioning was great to have during our brief stay and the wifi connection was greatly appreciated. The full breakfast Otto and Ursula created in the morning was excellent.
Cons: Nothing.

The apartment is very nicely decorated with walls in different colors, various paintings and drawings, a fireplace, a very well equipped kitchen, two balconies and a terrace with a grill. The view is amazing!

Alix the host is absolutely amazing and has thought of every single detail. The suite itself is comfortable and has everything you would need. I will definitly be back.
Cons: That I couldn't stay there longer!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very spacious, clean unit with a fantastic view of the lake and mountains. The place is about 10-15 minutes out of town and up some very steep roads. But this trek is offset by the wineries and scenic views along the way, and by the resident eagles, crows, deer, and elk.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent. The staff was very accommodating.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This completed our trip! We had my husbands father visiting from South Africa and he was blown away. This was the perfect place for us to stay to take it all in. The views are absolutely stunning, and it is so peaceful that you just can't get enough of it. We had our 5 month puppy with us which we thought was going to be a nightmare, but the owners were SO accommodating, even let our puppy play with their dogs in their space. Alix and Ken are amazing and made everything so easy and comfortable. We had just been camping so to move to complete luxury was a treat. It was the small things that made a difference, coffee tin filled up, popcorn tin filled up, everything you needed to use in the kitchen was there and available. There is even a laundry room with detergent there for you to use, I know that sounds funny but coming from camping it just made our lives a whole lot easier. One of my favourite parts of the suite was their tub. It's a spa bath and it was the best spa bath I have ever been in. We will be back for sure.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place has the most amazing views and is in such a peaceful location. We didn't want to leave!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Hosts both Alix and Ken were fabulous! Will miss them. And Axle, Moose and Molly ;) The Suite was nothing less than a spacious Villa. Fully equipped, really, nothing was missing in cooking or washing etc amenities. Built with the guests in mind: perfect orientation, sound proof, comfortable. Excellent wifi. Your own parking spot. Etc! The location as said before by others is great! The first time you drive up Spiller road you wonder when will you get there, but it couldn't have been at a better place. Actually, Ken alerted us there were deer around and we saw a whole pack of them in the evening light. The kids will forever remember this!
Cons: The Crooked Tree set such a high standard that other suites will be less from now on.. Which of coarse is yet another big Plus for them! No down sides!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Didn't get breakfast. Had facilities to make my own tea\coffee and toast.
Cons: The bed in the downstairs bedroom was (mattress) to not supportive enough for people with back problems

The suites have a full kitchen and the older furniture has been nicely recovered. Bed was good, and bathroom etc was 50’s ish but spotless. Retro artwork throughout featuring scenes of the motel like a retro travel poster. Pool area and covered family BBQ area was very nicely done.
Cons: Bathtub bottom and sink could use refinishing but all was very clean.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: At the Swiss House B & B, I felt welcome from the minute I arrived until it was time to leave. My hosts, Roman and Thy Sy are friendly, helpful, and focused on giving their guests a great B & B experience. After I let Roman know of my Celiac/gluten-free diet needs, Roman was on his way to pick up what he wanted to serve for breakfast in the blink of an eye. I also liked the location, close to the main streets yet in a quiet residential area. I will stay here again my next time in Penticton and I highly recommend the Swiss House B&B!
Cons: Nothing that I didn't like

Pros: Peter was an amazing host! Everything was impeccable, he made us feel at home and gave us some great tips. The view was beautiful with an overview of the the lake. The property is something out of a magazine. If you're thinking of staying in the area, you've found your place.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing views. Gourmet breakfast. Fantastic facilities (hot tub, pool, fire pit). Right next to KVR trail for walking or cycling.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The views would have been stunning if we could have seen it for the smoke. Bed was very comfortable and property was very upmarket in layout and decor. Beautiful infinity plunge pool and hot tub.
Cons: We felt we were expected to cater to the owners’ many rules and regulations rather than them catering to us as guests (eg. Lovely covered love seat chairs, but do not sit on them when wet, have sunscreen on, or want to eat or drink! Do not move the dolphin off the saucer or it will scratch the furniture! Etc!) Lack of privacy with the main house kitchen right next to the room and people walking past the sliding doors. Breakfast beautifully presented but very heavy on sugar every day except one and we felt we were required to stick to the owners’ 9am schedule. No air conditioning! Do not stain the sheets or you will be charged!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and fabulous breakfast
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The place was fantastic, the rooms were beautiful and the use of the pool was fun. We loved our time there. Having water and fresh cream in the fridge was an added bonus. Plus the weather was fantastic too!!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Star Valley was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The small kitchenette unit had everything we needed for cooking our own breakfast in the morning.
Cons: Our room was very functional but we would have liked more than 1 pod for the coffee machine.
7.0 Good
Cons: The bed felt like it was lumpy/indented towards the middle. Also the floors were so cold. I felt they should of had carpet runners along the bedside.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff, cats, dogs, horses, chickens... everything!!
7.0 Good
Pros: The staff were friendly. The breakfast was good and had a good selection. The scenery is beautiful and so is the property.
Cons: There was no soap in the shower or shampoo or conditioner. The room was comfortable and basic it could use some updating and the comforters could be better quality and brighter, this would help the room. Little things go along way. Also there are animals on the property, the puppy needs to be trained better or maybe kept on a leash or away from the guests until better trained as he was jumping into my car and all over me and I had to change my clothes. He also stained my white pants. The owners did put him away when he got aggressive with me but he should have been away when the guests were out and about. The other 2 older dogs were fine, and the chickens and horses were lovely.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Had an amazing weekend get away. Owners were wonderful and very welcoming. Views were surreal. Hores were amazing and the trail ride was breathtaking. Will Definatley go again. Highly recommend this terific bed and breakfast. The breakfast they serve is also above tops.
Cons: Was not aloud to have an evening fire but totally understood with the dryness
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was very peaceful, quiet setting for myself and my disrupted cats. I was moving from Edmonton to Penticton and needed a place where my cats would feel safe and secure during the transition and it was perfect. The staff are amazingly beautiful as well. Very animal friendly, feel at home at the property:)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a gem of a place with animals but our room was spotless. The bathroom was wonderful. Stand up shower, all new. Lots of patio, animals, clean air, quiet and so pleasant. The hosts were engaging but left you alone to do your own thing as well. Breakfast was superb with a big table of almost everything you might want. We did a horseback ride and as total beginners, it was fabulous with a lookout view. We were 4 women friends travelling and I would feel very comfortable coming back solo or with friends &family.
Cons: Nothing
5.5 Okay
Pros: The views and quietness. Farm feel.
Cons: Dog and cats in the house. Cat hair everywhere. Room was very small and bathroom even smaller. Could not even turn around in the shower. No coffee or tea facilities in the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was awesome and the room was clean and comfy. We had to cut our stay short because of wildfires in the area, but Jochen was very understanding of this and accommodated our early departure. Fantastic hosts!
Cons: Nothing on the part of the B&B.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's a home away from home, country style. Liked and enjoyed the breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Breakfast, the view, the animals, the people.
Cons: A bit tough to find, check your map!
5.8 Okay
Pros: I love the breakfast, especially the fried eggs and the bacon.
Cons: We stayed in a basement suite. You cannot open the window as there was no window screen. There were cats and dogs on the premises but we were told that the cats wouldn't go into our rooms. There was no air conditioner in the room. We asked for a fan and the owner gave us one. The elderly gentleman who owned the ranch was ok but not particularly friendly. In fact, I felt a little uncomfortable during my stay.

6.0 Good
Pros: Loved the pool and gardens, so beautiful and well kept.
Cons: Our room was not super clean and they knocked on our door early in the morning to ask if we'd like a cleaning and then forgot to clean it and then did a quick not thorough job when they did clean Forgot to give us beach towels which should have been stock
6.8 Good
Pros: Having a ground floor room by the pool was nice. The original room we had was in a poor location with no view but the staff was very accommodating and moved us. The pool area has varied seating and areas with umbrellas. The restaurant is great, especially at night with the fireplaces going. The lobby has free brewed coffee in the morning and cold lemon water all day. Free newspapers are available.
Cons: Our original room was tucked away in a corner with no view. Can’t see anyone wanting to stay in that room. Queen beds would be nice. Bathrooms could be cleaner.
7.5 Good
Cons: The housekeeping lacked in consistency. I had to call several times during my stay to have my room serviced.
5.0 Okay
Pros: There really wasn't anything I liked. Just so you know, I have never given any establishment this poor a rating.
Cons: When I arrived, I went to my room and it was already occupied by another couple and they were startled as well. I was given another room and a lame excuse as to why this happened. The next day, only two minor problems. the coffee mug that I rinsed out was never washed. I had been kind enough to rinse out the coffee maker and basket and put them both away. Also, my coffee package had not been replaced. I asked the front desk about it and they said they would take care of it shortly. After an hour of waiting, I called again and a new clerk was on and she knew nothing about it. The coffee finally arrived with a I'm sorry card in the night sometime as we were not going to wait up for it and it was placed on the door handle in a small bag. The next morning, One of the people staying there as well, part of the wedding party we were all attending on July 20th had left his SS travel mug in room 301 and asked if I would retrieve it for him. I informed the front desk at around noon of this and said I would pick it up when I returned later. It was nowhere to be found. You draw your own conclusions as to where this $20 item ended up. Not the lost and found! I would never stay there again even if it was free. By the way, the Restaurant isn't that great either. All of us had the veal cutlets and they were cold and dry.

Pros: Great location, 10 minutes walk to the lakeshore.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel in a lovely village!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: calm location, local BBQ restaurant and good pizza in walking distance, the very calm and beautiful beach just 5 min from the hotel, location is between Osoyoos and Kelowna so it is very good for few days to stay in Okanagan region. Somedays you can go to visit south (Oliver, Osoyoos) and other days you can enjoy moving toward the north and visit Summerland, Peachland and Kelowna. It is just close to Penticton and you can visit this beautiful city It is a very good corner of the world if you are looking for a calm and peaceful experience in Okanagan.
Cons: The toilet was very clean, but like any other hotels in countryside, there was mild but bad smell (sewer odour) in the toilet.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Showers were great with high pressure. Very well taken care of property. Great communal spaces in the courtyard. Had a bbq onsite, staff was helpful and courteous.
Cons: Towels shed all these black linty bass everywhere including on you. The peacock was loud in the morning (this isn’t their fault I think there are 4 that wander the town)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great value in excellent location. Close to places to eat and shop. Lots of lovely places to visit nearby.
4.5 Okay
Pros: The location is nice in a close proximity to multiple of wineries.
Cons: The yard was really small compared to the number of units, so you can forget about having some minimal privacy. There was a group of guests who were smoking all the time despite the no smoking signs. When we approached them asking to quit smoking, they replied that the owners gave them an explicit permission to smoke there. There is also a requirement to hand wash all the dishes (there are no dishwashers) before you leave (or pay ~$30) which leaves you wondering how clean were the dishes left by the previous guests...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly clean motel. Close to the restaurants and shops
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location was exactly what we wanted. Perfect for wineries and the beach, the local shops and everyone was really friendly. The kitchenette in our room had everything that we needed.

Pros: Great location. Renovated rooms. Friendly helpful staff.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean and it was very quiet. The motel was also very close to amenities like a bistro and grocery store.
Cons: The room was quite small. Comfortable access to the TV was difficult.
