the hostel is a part of 2 stories house. the hostel is all on the second floor. 15 minutes drive to Hiroshima University, 30 minutes to Hiroshima airport 35 minutes local train to Hiroshima city. very convinient place to anywhere.
Pros: Yasu, who runs the hostel, was warm, hospitable, and made my stay enjoyable with insider travel trips. Say, about Miyajima island and Rabbit island.
Pros: The stay was very comfortable and felt more like a home stay!! They even kept the common room open for me to work!! Free coffee and ice cream was available too ..... The breakfast had ingredients which were home grown!!! Found the the owner to be very helpful with a very good command over English!
Cons: I am just nitpicking but the stairs are a bit steep and can be a bit risky if one is in a hurry!!
Pros: Ysu-san was friendly, kind and hospitable. His English is good too and even gave some recommendations. The place is close to the station as well which is very convenient
Cons: The train noises. Walls of the house are easily penetrated by noise from outside, and could slightly hear people having convos from other rooms and downstairs.
Pros: This place is very comfortable feels like in home. The host also very friendly and caring. Great facilitation, very clean, the location also very near from jr saijo station. If you wanna come to saijo, I higly recommended to stay at this hostel.
Pros: The authentic Japanese house design of the hostel.

Featured amenities include a computer station, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. A roundtrip airport shuttle is complimentary (available 24 hours).
Pros: Located very near the Hiroshima Airport (~10 mins walk). They run the shuttle bus service (between hotel and airport) pretty frequently in the mornings, and for the rest of the day, you can just request for the service from the front desk. Surrounding environment is nice too, with a nice park. Staff speak pretty good English and were very helpful. Very decent and pleasant hotel for a short stay, if you're looking to stay near the airport before/after your flight.
Cons: Wi-fi was not very good in the rooms.
Pros: Japanese garden nearby, bus connections to different town
Cons: Is not connected to the airport, still need to walk out
Pros: Shuttle bus arrived 5 minutes after we ordered it and was completly free. It was specified that bed was small for 2 persons but we didnt noticed that. Room was bigger than average rooms in Japan. Hotel Staff was over welcoming they helped us with our laggage. Very satisfayed by our stay and great hotel to take when travaling early the following day
Pros: Excellent value for money, walking distance to terminal. Lovely gardens nearby
Pros: We arrived tired from a flight from Europe via Shanghai. The reception staff was very friendly and efficient. The hotel was more luxurious than I expected, and the room and double bed were very comfortable. In the morning the hotel shuttle bus brought us to the rental car company at the airport. We returned by rental car to pick up our luggage (free parking). The hotel is situated in a park and within easy walking distance (400 meters) from the airport terminal.

Pros: Great space!
Cons: Only one bathroom.
Pros: Lovely location- very scenic yet walkable to the airport. Very spacious and clean cottage.
Cons: Breakfast was in the nearby airport hotel, I guess the two hotels are linked even though they are different star ratings. No one helped us with our luggage or showed us to or around our cottage.
Cons: the beds are not confortable n
Pros: This hotel is situated right next to the Hiroshima airport. It does take a little drive to get here. Our GPS lead us up this extremely twisty hill before we got to the hotel. This hotel is very unique in that you actually book the whole chalet/unit. There are only 8? in the whole premises. The chalet is huge and comes with 2 rooms with 4 beds into. There is a grand living room with dinning area and a small kitchen. You can do laundry in the shower room washing machine. The fixtures were new and well maintained. There were thoughtful touches like portable heaters for extra warm should you need it at certain areas. Kettles, cutlery and other kitchen equipment provided so cooking is a possibility. My only gripe is that there is only one toilet. This toilet is located in the right wing of the house. The shower is the left wing. So it would be a 20-30 step shuffle in the cold from one to the other. The lobby is quite grand and has the ornate wood cabin/library with vibe to it. Overlooks the airport and a garden with a small maze and water feature. There is a small Italian restaurant right next to the lobby and would probably be your source of sustenance since there are no stores or restaurants anywhere close to this hotel. We drove 15min to the nearest supermarket to buy supplies. There is supposed to be a convenience store at the airport itself which is probably a good 15-20min walk away. There was a small lake area next to the hotel and a park as well. We had a nice morning walk around the premises. Our house overlooked a small pond and garden as well. You could sit on the balcony and just chill. Overall the house was grand. Classy.
Cons: The location is isolated. You must drive to get here or have some prearranged transport. A little pricey.
Pros: Wasn’t here long enough! Got in at night for an early morning flight the next day. Would have loved to spend more time and would definitely visit again. Great space!
Cons: If I had to make one critique it’s that the beds were a bit hard.

Pros: Breakfast was not bad. Rooms were a good size. Everything was really nice new and clean pretty close to the station too!
Pros: The coffee was good. Double rice. Croissants were to die for.
Cons: Pillow was okay, coffee could be available 24 hours
Pros: Good breakfast and very convenient location!
Cons: WiFi is extremely unstable, most of the time doesn't work.
Pros: very cozy and comfortable
Cons: internet is slow
Pros: location is great! just a walking distance from the saijo train station
Housed in a remodeled clinic built in Taisho period, it is a guest house where anyone can casually visit.
Pros: First of all, the building in which the Hostel is in, Really Cool. It is situated in the historic part of town which is beautiful and it is close to the sea. The place is smartly decorated with, the beds and bathrooms modern, while keeping the historic feel of the building and it's history intact.
Cons: There weren't enough plates for me to have my breakfast. A group of five were also staying there at the time, and there were only four plates. That is it though.
Pros: Neat and quite
Cons: Limited shops around the area
Pros: Excellent staff
Cons: Very cold
Pros: Everything was neat about this place. Converted hospital with a neat bar on the first floor. I went out with the staff in the night for some sake and Udon.
Cons: i dont know... cold a little maybe... im stretching to find something.
Pros: Comfortable and tidy room and facilities. Very kind and considerate host. Nice building having antique values.
Cons: I wish the drying machine works well. Drying ability is not enough.
A homey atmosphere where you can feel at ease. Dinner is Japanese-style Kaiseki cuisine with local Setouchi fish, food. We are in a good location in Shimanami Kaido Expressway.
Pros: Lovely ryokan in the centre of this small town. Friendly staff and a generously sized room with its own toilet and bathroom, all super clean. Very quiet and peaceful.
Pros: It was more than expectation. The staffs were very helpful; they drove us to Onsen spot and also took us to the restaurant. There are few restaurant around accommodation and most of them were closed, then a gentle man tried to find a restaurant and took us there. It was fabulous service.
Cons: Facility was a little old but acceptable.
Pros: The service and food was great. Transport to onsen also provided
Cons: We enjoyed everything
Pros: Good hotel for those cycling the Shimanami Kaido. They store your bikes safely and have basic tools for pumping tires etc. Large rooms.
Cons: Shares toilets not so convenient.
Pros: Greeting, service, onsen, hotel itself. Seeing higher evaluation of a hostel on the same island made us smile - these are not comparable experiences.
Pros: Staff is very friendly. Breakfast is very nice and great taste. Location is secluded and surrounded by nature. Great hot spring near by.
Cons: Facility is quite old. Shared bathroom. Wifi connection is weak.
Pros: The staff were super friendly and made me feel very welcome! The food they cook for you in the morning was really yummy!
Pros: Convenient when biking the Shinamani Kaido Huge room (suite), traditional Japanese style Amazing breakfast (14 plates each!) Very helpful staff

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a business center, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: The room was clean and spacious. The staff was helpful and friendly
Cons: Nearby restaurant closed early
Pros: spacious bedroom.
Pros: Quite ok.
Cons: First floor a bit noisy.
Pros: Great rooms and great breakfast!
Pros: The hotel room was great, clean, spacious and comfortable. The cost was really reasonable. The staff were very nice and I would definitely stay here again.
Cons: The menu for the dinner wasn't clear about what was in the food. The cheese curry was good, but I didn't expect to find a raw egg in it as well as tomatoes. I was fine as I have become used to finding things like this. But the menu should be alot more clear, especially if you have foreign guests staying often. Some people have allergies to eggs and that needs to be clear.

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, dry cleaning/laundry services, and luggage storage. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: I liked the reasonable price.
Cons: The size of the bed was too small for two people. I didn’t confirm beforehand but it was too hard...
Pros: Small rooms, but clean and with basic amenities, TV, A/C, electric kettle. There is coffee and tea in the lobby, as well as vending machines with drinks, cigarettes, etc.
Cons: The windows are difficult to open and don’t open much.
Pros: I asked for a quiet room, since I had just arrived in Japan and had a jet lag. I got exactly what I asked for. The room was clean and I liked the bath. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend a stay here.
Pros: Good sheet changing. Felt safe. Staff tried but language was a barrier.
Cons: Lots of areas felt unloved. Dusty and dated. Key was a piece of paper and only one between two of us. No breakfast to buy. Lots of vending machines and people smoking outside the main entrance in various states of clothing.
Located in Higashihiroshima, Hotel AreaOne Hiroshima Wing is in the mountains, within a 15-minute drive of Central Forest Park and Akikokubunji Temple. Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and a 24-hour front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Free hot spa. Spacious and clean room. I really appreciate their care to clients belongings. I missed my bag in toilet. Hotel kept it for me at counter for my pick up after a week.
Pros: spacey rooms and clean onsen even with one outside
Pros: This was my second time staying here (I stayed here 6 weeks earlier) and I would stay here again if I could. Living in the US makes it more difficult to stay here. Great place!! Family friendly. The Onsen is the best part!!!! I would recommend that you add the breakfast option to your booking!! Great amazing breakfast!! Great retreat hotel with great friendly staff. Staying here is a very nice stay for the price!! You just can't beat it for the price!
Cons: The location of the hotel is very beautiful, but not in a convenient spot to carry or push your heavy luggage up a hill from Kochi Inter Change near the 7 eleven convenient store where the bus leaves you. I was running low on cash so I chose not to take a taxi. It would be much better if you could get there with a taxi or car.
Pros: Onsen was simply great! Perfect relax before heading back to Europe. And also very nice staff. Thank you!
Pros: Convenient last or first stop near the airport. Bonus was modern onsen (very high ceiling with hot/cold bath, jacuzzi); bath with deck chairs with view as shown plus sauna; relaxing atmosphere. Sometimes you can see a plane landing yet cannot hear the noise. Although hotel & spa is dated, it is clean/comfortable and good value for money. Rooms are big and quiet; views of country-side and dreamy distant mountains. 24hour 7-11 is 5mins walk down the road for last minute hunger pangs if one decide not to eat in the comfortable local restaurant - reasonable price too. Usual wide selection of drinks and ice-creams as well from automated dispensers. Especially like the most elderly person at reception - he is very attentive and accommodating. He knew my 83year old mum was very tired, we arrived at 1.30pm - we did not have to request yet he allowed us to check in early into our room at 2.30pm which is a good gesture, as in Japan - most establishments are strictly 3pm or even 4pm check-in time.
Pros: Very nice Spa included. Dinner quality at the restaurant was very positive surprise. Cheap transfer to airport offered by hotel staff.
Cons: Building hasn't been renovated in a while but still in OK shape for the price. Location is a bit off. This is mitigated by bus from Hiroshima central station that departs every hour that stopped very close to the hotel.

Pros: Japanese style public bath with sauna, amenities and hot baths
Cons: Location made it expensive to sightsee without a rental car. Far from local supermarket, restaurants and downtown Hiroshima (for peace park, and museum)
Pros: The hotel provide a unique Japanese room experience. There is a common bath, a tranquil garden and a nice lobby.
Cons: The location is only accessible by car. There is no convenient store nearby.
Pros: the staff was very nice, there was a staff who was very sweet, drove us to the ferry to Okunoshima, and waited for us for an hour because we missed a ferry back, which saved us loads of money for taxi. We really appreciate his hospitality and kindness!!
Pros: We had a great time! The staff was really helpful, even the ones that didn't speak english made an effort and help us with our questions. The hotel is a 10 minute car ride away from train station but the hotel provided free transport to it and back everyday of our stay. We really enjoyed our stay :)
