We stayed at this hotel while we were checking our daughter into her college dorm. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the grounds were clean and beautiful, the pool was thoroughly enjoyed, and the dog friendly atmosphere was much appreciated. We will certainly stay again when visiting our daughter. I would like to see more protein options offered for breakfast. Either scrambled eggs, or sausage. My children loved the pancake machine!
This is one of my favorite hotels. The suites are spacious, clean, and comfortable and perfect for families traveling with kids. The hotel has been getting a great remodeling. Even before that, we loved this place. The staff is friendly and goes over and above regularly. My kids love staying here, always enjoy the pool, the facilities are clean, and the staff are very attentive.
Decor The dining room was too far away from our room
Clean, comfortable, friendly.
The room was very clean and the appearance of the facility was very nice. Lots of parking to accommodate the trailer full of animals.
Quiet and clean. Friendly staff Surrounded by beautiful mountains. Poor lighting. Could add some healthier selections for breakfast.
It was a very reasonably priced and comfortable stay.
The front desk was so helpful and attentive. We loved the staff member Sonya who helped us get settled in. That continental breakfast didn't start until 7- We had to leave at 6 am! Oh well. If we hadn't been forced to, we would have loved to sleep in and eat breakfast at a normal hour!
Spacious mini suite with very comfy bed. Great view of the beautiful hills. Friendly staff
Great beds here! Room was clean, modern & efficient.
The hotel is walking distance to downtown Ashland and restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful. Great price and clean rooms. This is our third visit and we will be back again. The wifi was slow.
The rooms were very clean and large. It was a perfect place to stay while dropping my child off at school. They accommodated me for a pet friendly room for only $10 a night. I would definitely stay there again. A great room for the value. The complementary breakfast was terrible. Why bother if you are not going to make it halfway nice. They only had one vending machine that had only sodas or water. It would have been nice to have other snack or juice options.
The staff allowed me to stay on ground level... After moving some people around... I had heavy equipment to move around. They really went out of their way to accommodate my needs. I wish my trip allowed for more pool time .
Good value. Comfortable bed. Everything I needed (tv, hairdryer, iron & ironing board, WiFi, table & chair, air conditioning). Breakfast was adequate but a variety of fruit other than just apples would have made it more nutritious (like oranges, bananas, grapes).
even though the room was marked non-smoking , when we checked in it was smelling full of tobacco smoke. Not a good thing. we had to sleep through the night with smoke smell.
Clean, big, and fully stocked. Great Location. The in-room keurig was with k-cups was a welcome surprise in the morning.
Very comfortable and friendly staff. The shower is big but the bathroom was a bit small.
Nice Motel for the Price. Breakfast was not very good.
The beds were comfortable and Keurig was a nice take on the usual hotel coffee. The hotel was well-located. The sinks and floors were dirty. One of the lights in the bathroom was burned out and the lampshade next to the bed was broken which made the room feel cheap and sketchy.
Cleanliness, easy access, close to freeway, staff very welcoming and helpful with places to eat and visit in the area. Will return.
Because of the low cost, I wasn't expecting much. However, the bedding was luxurious, clean and new. The rooms were spacious, the pool was pleasant, and the location was an easy 1.5 mile walk from town. I enjoyed being close enough to walk downtown, but far enough to work off a little of the delicious restaurant food we enjoyed on our stay. The staff was always friendly and accommodating. We will be back. The breakfast included bagels and toast, yogurt, biscuits and sausage, scrambled eggs, cereal and such. The eggs were pretty rubbery but my husband said the sausage gravy was tasty. I brought my own oatmeal and took advantage of their strong coffee, hot water, and fresh fruit. Free breakfast is free breakfast and it was ultimately better than I expected.
In town close to everything loved the easy checkout
Clean, comfortable room at a decent price (Cascade building). Decent breakfast too. Appetizers in the evening were nothing to write home about. The parking is a little weird due to limited space between the creek and road.
We enjoyed how close the hotel wss top the Shakespeare Festival as well as restaurants and shopping. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable. There were too many student group who were noisy in the halls after hours, oblivious to posted hour for using the spa, and pretty oblivious to other guests whenever food was being served. The breakfast room, while lovely, has too many tables leaving little space for guests to move around and exterior doors that don't close properly creating cold drafts.
easy access to downtown shopping and activities; staff was very knowledgeable about surrounding activities and more than willing to assist in helping to find directions etc. Room was extremely comfortable.
location and staff was good Other than the dust overall experience was great Breakfast was bad and the first night out room had lots of dust the second night was much better
This was my first stay and I was very impressed with the general surroundiings, location and courtesy of the staff. They even made transfer reservations for me to return to the airport. The breakfast was terrific with a few changes in menu each morning, and the ability to dine on the terrace, view the Creek and even make use of the hot tub was an added benefit I truly would have given the place my wholehearted excellent rating, however . . . I phoned down the night before I left for a 2:30am wakeup call in order to make the first of three flights on time. I NEVER RECEIVED THE CALL! Having been a travel agent for many years, I can tell you that this is major crime for travelers! Upon checking at the front desk I was told that the young lady did write down the call info, however, she never entered it into the computer. That said, people make mistakes, and otherwise I cannot say enough about the level of courtesy and helpfulness in the staffing.
Very clean, comfortable, and nice. Our king bed was very comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly. Very nice! We will definitely stay again.
Great Room; bed/TV set up, couch/ TV/sink & mini fridge. We went as a couple but could easily see us coming as a family.
Walking distance to downtown with plenty of parking.
The facilities were well appointed and comfortable. The workout room equipment is quite old, the breakfast was poor, with limited protein choices and fresh fruit, and parking is very tight
Clean, friendly staff, price. Breakfast buffet is terrible: boiled eggs as hard as bullets, scrambled eggs taste as if they were out of a box. Oatmeal was OK and the coffee was OK.
The old style charm of the hotel fresh local flowers and views of the city. Location can't be beat for Oregon Shakespeare festival breakfast in the morning. Harp and flute music in the lobby Nothing everything was good
Clean room, respectful to time period of the hotel. Tiny room but quiet. Staff very friendly and helpful. Tallest building in Ashland at 9 stories. Seriously within strolling distance of anything downtown Small room. AC didn't want to kick in, propped up window the full 6 inches that was allowed.
Our room was clean and comfortable! Hotel has a Victorian charm and sits in middle of downtown! People were very nice and friendly and we loved the location, walking distance to Starbucks and many great shops and parks! Loved it!
Super comfy bed. Cozy and quiet. Lavendar sache for bathtub. Location
Bathroom awkwardly designef
I liked the lobby with it's high ceiling fans, fireplace and spaciousness. I loved our room. The color scheme and furniture were beautiful. The vintage style bathroom was delightful. There were art deco touches with an excellent seating area. Quiet, lush surrounding. No children,we're running up and down the hallways which was a great relief. I would prefer a darker ambiance in the dining room. I prefer a warmer color scheme with tables of dark wood and a sense of greater separation and privacy from other diners. I prefer a lush, velvety fabric perhaps with deco touches. It felt a bit coffee house style in a summery atmosphere which is nice but does not feel elegant to me. The bar counter was delightful.
Lithia Springs is a wonderful place to stay in Ashland, The rooms are large and comfortable, the staff is pleasant and attentive. As a bonus, the food is excellent! I cannot get enough of their scones. After a very stressful weeks, this is just what we needed to relax and unwind, a world apart from the chain hotels. Best time to visit is during spring through fall when you can enjoy the beauty of their gardens. Highly recommend it.
It was in a perfect location, clean rooms, friendly staff and quiet, while being centrally located, Can't think of anything....
Fairly quiet, clean bathrooms, nice beds
It was clean and comfortable with shopping and good food near by.
Super clean, comfortable bed, friendly, helpful staff. Perfect place to stop on a long drive . Quiet, close to freeway and meal options.
Good value in a generally xpensive area. This property is right at the Junction of 2 main roads and surrounded by business's so look elsewhere if you want quiet solotude, however the rooms are OK and the pizza place is right next door! Leaf blower guy outside everyone's back window @ 9 PM
Cost, location, pool for summer, no frills Not really a breakfast, over soft beds when we asked for 1 King, thin walls
We got a deal online and it was available on short notice. The location is about the closest budget motel to the theatre district. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean and smelled fresh. Everything worked and was in good condition. Plenty of hot water. Tons of TV channels. Coffee, juice, English muffins and bananas for breakfast were tasty. The staff was friendly. It wasn't exactly noisy but it isn't the quietest location and there is nothing romantic about it.. It backs up to a grocery store parking lot. The pool is super tiny and fenced into a little triangle spot in the parking lot next to the street that has no atmosphere whatsoever (looks like a dog kennel). The room was pretty dark and the furniture is very low-budget. The refrigerator worked okay but made a loud bang every time it cycled off. The included breakfast was just English muffins and bananas. Definitely a place to stay the night and move on rather than a destination or a place for an extended stay.
Clean room, extraordinarily friendly folks at the front desk, lots of amenities for the price. Only 1.5 miles from the Shakespeare theaters. Air conditioning unit wasn't cooling very well. I pulled out the filter and it obviously hadn't been cleaned in many months. I cleaned it and then the air conditioner worked fine. I absent mindedly tried to get into the room next to mine, thinking it was my room, and my key opened the door! Old fashioned keys. They need to have locks with cards that get reprogrammed with every guest. It was great that they had a continental breakfast, but it consisted only of orange juice, tea and coffee, bagels, English muffins and bananas. The second day we were there they were out of coffee, English muffins, and there was only one banana left.
What could have just as easily been a nothing-stay, undertaken solely to avoid driving through the mountain pass during snow, turned out to be a surprising delight. Very warm staff, real care towards my comfort and ability to use the facilities, and the flexibility to accommodate my very late arrival make this a strong, earnest-5-star review.
We booked this room last minute at the Internet rate so were prepared for bare bones accommodations. We were pleasantly surprised! Beds were comfortable, room was quite clean. We had a room on the second floor (street level) facing a busy street and were not bothered by traffic noise at all. Coffee shop in the building served excellent strong coffee. Free continental breakfast was actually good! It was about a 5 minute walk to the downtown strip and less than 10 minutes to the theatre square. There was a nice looking pool and hot tub that we didn't use but many were enjoying
Perfect location, quiet, clean, amazing complementary breakfast and free washers and dryers! Only downside is pool wasn't heated so it was too cold to swim
The room was large and very comfortable. The staff was very professional and a joy to talk to or get answers. The breakfast area was clean and has a large variety of foods, hot and cold. I now have this motel on my speed dial.
We stay here every year when visiting the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Always a good experience
Good motel with many service, and a great staff. The bathrooms are clean, with great beds. Quiet. Rates are elevated, like all Ashland motels. Carpeting needs cleaning.
Friendly front desk clean enough parking space quick check-out
The desk staff helped with my tourist questions of local points of interest. Outdoor pool with hot tub, self-serve breakfast bar, workout room, 45-channel Cable TV with HBO, 3-meal restaurant next door, coin washer/drier available, plenty of parking for cars.
Beautiful King room, high ceiling and great jacuzzi tub. Clean room, keurig, seating, desk and fridge. No complaints.
I liked being so close to downtown. The bed was very comfortable. 1000 pillows. Very clean. Free wifi! Great price. Breakfast was a great selection. I stayed in a lower unit, I could hear the people above me in their regular movements. They weren't being excessive, just normal movement could be heard. Tv channel selections were not good.
Location location location! Perfect place to stay in Ashland that is walkable to everything. Breakfast was hot and great for the price. Could hear everything in the adjacent room. Wished it was more quiet.
Noisy neighbors Above. Would prefer staying on top floor. Due to our dog must stay on bottom floor
The location abs breakfast The staff was rude ans there was ants everywhere in our room. They didn't ask if we wanted another room or anything. Brushed it off like it was a normal day
Traveling with a very well behaved dog. They give you a sheet to cover bed if Fido gets on the bed. Very comfortable. We had a loud neighbor, not their fault though.
Clean and modern, well stocked room. Good full breakfast Don't book with a third party, book with Holiday in Express website. We couldn't make changes at the front desk, like apply a triple a discount.
Clean and comfortable. All the HI Express hotels I have stayed at have always been clean and comfortable. I don't wonder what I am getting which is very nice when you have not been to the town before. Wasn't so wild about the eating area. Area was clean and food was good, it just was a little cramped for getting around. It was a bit more expensive than I was planning on.
I loved that the hotel had a pool. My kids played in there for hours. I also liked that they had free breakfast. The carpet freshener in the hallway was pretty strong. Other than that I have no complaints.
