Staff was excellent. Continental breakfast was good. Room was a little loud for our infant son (next to train tracks/road)
Great staff, great price
Was clean, comfy, mini fridge & coffee maker. Was quiet. Loved the proximity to restaurants. Walked next door to Clocktower Ales - great brewery/restaurant. Walked next door the next night to have wonderful Thai food. Was right down town for strolling & window shopping. The beds were not very soft. Sheets were soft, but they should invest in a pillow top mattress or gel foam topper. Everything else was perfect.
The staff is absolutely amazing. If there is a problem they go out of there way to fix it. If you need something they bring you whatever it is you asked for. The rooms are spacious, clean. The beds are super comfy. That I had cash and they used my debit card to hold the room knowing I was paying with cash. There was no money on my debit card hense cash, and I had to go out of my way to a bank and deposit money. I understand why as they have had people trash some rooms.... Seriously who does that crap? Anyways, it doesn't effect anything I'll still go to that hotel in the near feature.
Staff was wonderful and the breakfast are was nice. The photos are a bit misleading. I was unprepared for a funky old motel. As a single woman traveling on business, I wouldn't recommend it. The refrigerator made clicking noises like a ticking time bomb and the heating unit was very loud turning off and on all night.
The staff seemed friendly and it was nice that the hotel is connected to a lounge/restaurant. The included breakfast was a nice perk. Although the hotel appears clean on the service, we had a big problem. We arrived around 10pm on a holiday weekend. Our son was tired and ready to snuggle in for some sleep. That was fine, until my husband saw what looked like blood sports on his sheets. Granted this was a pull out couch, so it may not be checked every time, but really it's curious to see when it was last checked. Our son snuggled into our bed and we all fell asleep. The next morning we reported it to the front desk. Although she seemed disgusted and said she would take care of it; she never said she was sort. Seriously, IMO even though this is an inexpensive overnight stay, you would expect clean sheets; YUCK!
Clean, smelled fine. Had a fridge and microwave. Staff was friendly. There were no regular rooms facing the view, the pool was not yet open (we had 80 degree weather), no hot tub available. The from looked like it hadn't been updated in at least 20 years. Loud air conditioner.
This place is in desperate need of an uograde
Dirty and beat up. Internet spotty, Free breakfast not worth the price, Won't be back location
The location was great. We didn't have a view of the river however we walked down one evening & it was beautiful! I would always choose this hotel over any of the other ones in the area. Overall, we love this place. The bed & pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable. There we loud guests who we could hear coming in and out of their rooms, slamming doors behind them.
Comfortable Bed outside pool Old carpeting soiled chair in room Loud AC unclean restaurant (cobwebs on windowsill) cranky waitress
Beautiful view from the property Friendly staff A hardworking and good spirit male server in the dining area Old building and smelly rooms, loud ac in the room. it's poorly understaffed in the dining room during breakfast. It was a long long wait to be seated and another long long wait to be served. The poor hard working male server had to be multitasked and race through everything. He still keeps good spirit though. Thumbs up for him.
location Outdated facility
room,food old tv
The place is in major need of updating. I am not sure if I paid for a "free breakfast" or not but they gave you three options for the "free breakfast" and would not allow any deviation. Once I chose to select from the menu they gave me $3 off instead. This was a $60 room that cost $100
An easy drive after a great concert at Maryhill. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean and quiet. There is a little sitting space outside the room facing the nice grass area around the pool. Breakfast was included, and the price was very reasonable. Staff were friendly and helpful. There isn't an elevator so make sure you request first floor if steps are an issue.
Nice view of dam and gorge Old and dirty look rooms Loud and noisy AC Understaffed and long wait in the dining room Old and dirty look dining area

Nice clean hotel. Convienent location for me and Dalles is great town.
Hotel had a refrigerator and microwave. The breakfast hours ended at 9:00 a.m. We arrived for breakfast at 9:30, thinking we had until 10:00 a.m.. The hotel we had stayed at the night before in Baker City had breakfast until 10:00 a.m..
The bed was comfortably firm, and the continental breakfast was excellent. The air conditioner barely worked, and the pillows weren't very comfortable. As a result, we didn't get much sleep, because we were sweating all night, and couldn't get situated correctly because of the pillows.

free breakfest/coffee to close to freeway and noisy a/c unit
The bed was comfortable The refrigerator wasn't plug in, the floor need vacuum ( I stepped on mud from a shoe track) and I couldn't get the TV to come on. When I got back to my room later in the day the staff had left my door open
2 queen + pull out sleeper sofa room option. Amenities: In-room refrigerator, continental breakfast, pool. Food items offered for continental breakfast were all very sweet and relatively high in sugar. Misrepresentation of pool in photos. Using a wide-angle lens caused it to appear larger than reality. Offering a a old/rickety/unsafe playground as an amenity
Front desk staff were very warm and friendly. Our room was spotless!
Good air conditioning, comfortable pillows, conveinent location for gas and quick breakfast. Loud. Sound traveled very well between rooms even with doors closed.
That it accommodated our family of 5. Our view was of the roof of the building.
The bed was very comfortable; breakfast was good. -location of room poor under stairwell and beside exit door.-no balconies or sliding glass doors in any rooms. No outside space.-room was cluttered with furniture.-sink was in room, lighting bright, hairdryer did not work.
Walking distance to good restaurants.
A place to land when tires. I can deal with just about anything, except shitty pillows. If those get upgraded so would the overall value.
Easy check in A lot of noise outside
They had beds. Dirty linens. No continental breakfast. Dusty hardwood floor. Inch of dirt in bathroom. No outlets.
Close to the interstate and food within 1/2 mile. Invest in another washer and dryer.
Comfortable bed No complain
None. Just cheap Smell, unclean. Cheap interior I will never stay in there again.
I planned a get-a-way for my 14 year old son and I to spend some one on one time. This was perfect. The country side is georgous and the surrounding neighborhood is perfect for walking around. The grounds at the Blach are beautiful and immaculate. I worried about the shared bathrooms, but never had to wait to use it. Next time I would love to bring my husband for a romantic get-a-way!
