Loved the location. It was on Mackenzie beach and super close to both Chesterman and Cox bay surf beaches. Also loved the fact it had 2 hot tubs, which was a nice way to relax after a day of surfing. This was by far the nicest place I have ever stayed in Tofino, mind you I usually camp or sleep in my car. Staff were friendly adn went out of there way to make sure we were happy and comfortable. They always had fresh fruit and cookies at the front desk. I didn't like that I had to leave Tofino.
What I liked most is that I could open my door and I was on the beach Nothing to complain of
Good staff nice location There is two sides to the hotel because I booked through a third party I could not up grade and was stuck in a room that was a 2 star at best and smelled like wet dog
The staff were very friendly. There was complimentary coffee/tea in the lobby and in the rooms. The beach is steps from the hotel and just about every room has a terrific view of the ocean. The town of Tofino is only 5 minutes by car or you can take the bike path. We can't wait to come back in the future.
Food was good especially he mussells. All the staff were very courteous and helpful.
Staff were excellent, friendly energetic courteous and helpful. Needs new carpet and paint immediately. New beds next, worn out. Updating of bathrooms and furniture soon.
Loved the location, easy walk to everything. Nice to have a little fridge and kitchenette. WIFI super slow. Expect to do your own dishes; housekeeping is by request only which helps the environment I suppose but just be ready for it.
I liked the addition of the continental breakfast this year. They've started to not offer housekeeping unless you call before noon. What?? That's just too weird. No one came in to empty the garbage or refill the coffee. They should offer better rates with the subtraction of those services.
It was nice to be close to the town where we were able to walk everywhere. Nice to accept pets n rooms very spacious. Would definitely stay again. Being on 2nd floor, was a bit of a view but was noisy from people above. Staying again would be worth going one floor higher not to have someone above. Just a little TLC needed to bring it up to date...
Loved the location, with very nice restaurants near by. Personnel was very kind and smiley. Very very basic rooms,
Good location. Clean room. Our room was right next to the restaurant, and it was noisy during the nighttime. We were told there was a room in the middle to buffer the noise, but it didn't work. The heater in the bathroom was broken. The fitness center was in a different building.
Directly on the beach. Friendly and helpful staff. We were upgraded without asking to a beautiful ocean view room on the top floor. We had to go home.
Very, very expensive, because doesn't offer confort or facilities. Is old, very dirty and the pillows are terribles!! There are a kitchen, but not glasses, spoons,knifes,napkins,plates... The internet doesn't work in the rooms. This hotel shouldn't be in booking.com !!!! For sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The room was very clean. The staff was friendly. It was in a great location for walking. The hot water for the shower was broken. We were unable to have a shower. The beds were very hard, we woke up with sore backs.
Nicely located in the Botanical Garden. Clean (shared) bathrooms Didn't love the price/performance ratio
The location: close to beaches, but away from the crowd. The price vs the quality of the hotel
common room kitchen and fridge Relatively expensive for facilities
Loved the location in town, easy to walk anywhere we wanted to go. Staff was wonderful and friendly. Overall good value. Room was a decent size, but wish the balcony was cleaner. Whenever we went outside tracked in a lot of dirt/small gravel no matter how hard we tried not to. Also wish part of the restaurant balcony was open to just guests hanging out and relaxing.
Room and bathroom were really clean and comfortable. Very quiet at night.
Location, room with a balcony, renovated bathroom and in room fridge were amazing. The near death dog out front of the door was a bit disturbing. I wasn't sure if it was deceased or if it would wake and chew my leg off.
Rooms had great views and nice kitchenettes and fireplaces bathroom was a bit small, people had to walk right past the bedroom to get to their suites.
Lovely location on the beach, spotless cleanliness, well equipped kitchen. Only one reading lamp n the bedroom; bathroom sink tap was very difficult to completely shut off.
The setting and views were excellent. The room was fully satisfactory. The grounds were very well kept. This resort did not have a restaurant. Also the cost of bringing a pet was extreme. Also as a classy resort I was expecting to have access to hot tubs and/or swimming pools and even a spa. There was no telephone in the room and no firm access to WIFI.
This was the perfect place for me to stay in Tofino. I will be back. Very affordable, no hassles, and outstanding value. I shared the kitchen with some travellers from Germany, France, and the US, and we all shared food and stories around the breakfast/dinner table. Nick is terrific host. A true professional in his field, but without a trace of pretense that you might find elsewhere. He has a wealth of knowledge and can help you to have a lot of fun AND to save your money. Imagine that! Staying here felt a lot like staying at home - very relaxing, laid-back and comfortable. It's NOT the right accommodation for people looking for a place to party, nor is it a full-service hotel. But if you want a cozy, warm, friendly place to rest your head at night while you spend your days exploring Tofino, the Tofino Travellers Guesthouse can't be beat! I arrived late on Jan 1st, so I missed out on the New Year's Waffles for breakfast. I'll just have to wait till April for Birthday waffles... :)
