The room was absolutely amazing, very clean and large. It's obvious that the hotel is much newer than the other hotels in the city. Location was great - could walk to everything downtown. Our room had a view of Lake Michigan - absolutely beautiful. The hotel had a rating of 9.6 as well as Sugar Beach Hotel. My husband and I stayed at Indigo and my sister stayed at Sugar Beach. Sugar Beach is super old. If you are trying to keep hotel costs down and have kids, then definitely go with Sugar Beach. However, you cannot compare the hotels. After staying at Indigo I will not stay anywhere else.
I thought the room was pricey; but, you get what you pay for. I have no kids; so, this hotel was great for me and my husband. However, not really kid friendly.
It is expensive comparing with descent hotels we had in NY, DC and Chicago on our tour in USA And we even had more noise in that little town than in the big cities. People were partying on the parking lot of the hotel until after midnight. When calling the reception, we got an answering machine. No much excuses or compensation were made when checking out. I cannot recommend this hotel.
I sent requests for the hotel thru your site. They did not get them.
Bed was moderately comfortable
Since our room was on the side of the road, the traffic noise kept us awake. There was no option on the thermostat in our room to leave the fan on to help drown out the outside noise :(
