Rooms are clean, bed and pillows were very comfortable, and there were no problems. The TV in the hotel room was a bit old, so the picture was a low resolution. The casino floor was extremely smokey, and the machines were positioned very close together.
The charge of the Resort fee. This was our third year staying at the Gold Strike and the first year that we were charged a resort fee nted. We inquired about an upgrade in our room because we had received coupons for a 2 night complimentary stay but, we had not received them until after we had already booked our stay. The hotel customer rep would not consider our longevity with the hotel nor accommodate us with an upgrade due to our receiving our complimentary coupons after we had already booked. She kept insisting that they were under new management and the new manager was strict and stern in policy. It was some what offensive and not a good look at all. Sadly disappointed!
The casino was our main reason for being there. It was great. The whole staff was polite, courtious, but lacked a little on the follow though. I would absolutely back, generally it was a good time but I would make sure I was not paying full room rates. If I had to do that I would go else where. out dated room, ice machine, on the floor didn't work, it took almost a day to get a do not disturb sign to the room, the toilet paper holder was broken and just stuck back on the wall, the buffets were mediocre & bland which is to be expected to some degree with a buffet and it did have a few high lights, but made me feel sick to me stomach at the end of the nIght. The only other problem I had was the TV. I understand you don't go to a casino to watch TV. The resort wouldn't gamble if you wanted to stay in your room, but they might as well had a tube tv in the room.
Great staff, clean rooms and over appearance, very welcoming Some of dealers were rude
Access to the other Casinos The room was disgusting! Bathroom was very nasty and had to call housekeeping to come clean the bathroom again.
rooms food is way over priced, not good tasting at all. no good value. better to go fast food place down the road, or a huddle house. food would be better.
I understand that a casino type hotel is more for the adults but when it is the nicest hotel and the most affordable hotel in the area, it is a no-brainer that I picked this hotel. But there is no swimming facilities for the childre anymore so don't let the indoor pool entice you. You would think a hotel that large would have an indoor pool for kids. Anyways, the hotel staff was great and the Buffett was amazing.
Rooms were clean hotel was clean My only complaint was the water pressure in the shower was horrible.
They are gradually accommodating more non smokers Late check in time...4pm
We didn't have to drive and valet was prompt!! the pillows were very uncomfortable, the room was hot and air was not sufficient enough to cool the room. The coke machines were out of stock and even took my money.
Nice room and Comfortable beds
Tv needed upgraded as with the channels, no fridge.
The price. I paid $37.40 WITH tax for a king room. Nice big comfortable bed. The shower had good pressure and soft water. The casino was so-so and the breakfast buffet was disgusting. Breakfast buffet.....barf. so not worth the $10/pp
The room The epic buffet during dinner time
Buffet value using time in the casino, $5 senior dinner Buffet and 55 cent Breakfast Buffet Pool hours, should be open all night for us night owls.
The casino itself is fun with the Hollywood theme and the location is fine. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. I wish we had been able to partake in the dinner buffet as well, but the timing didn't work out with out other plans. They offer $2.00 beer on tap at the bar which was a plus for our group. The air conditioning didn't appear to be working at maximum capacity and the room was a little stuffy as a result. Not bad enough to request a move to a different room, but just uncomfortable enough to make sleeping a little difficult.
We was in a non smoking room, we woke us and it smelled like someone was smoking in the room. Cigarette smoke was blowing out of the air vents. Had to turn the air of, I told the lady at the front dest and only thing she said was "sorry bout that"....had to chase someone down to get a drink, very rude Staff. Have to beg for someone to talk to you. We drove to gold stike 10 mins away order drinks from slots and cleaner nicer staff,100x's nicer! Go there!
Secure elevators, room key needed to access. Casino is small, dealers are not friendly, wait staff unfriendly as well.
Water temp in shower not consistent. You'd set the temp and it would fluctuate either cold or scalding. Same w room temp... You would set it but it didn't matter. The same temp setting was either too cold or too hot. And the guage didn't make a difference. Beds were not really so much pillow top as worn out. Carpet in room stained. Could not get service in casino and comps suck
The room was nicely appointed and comfortable. The king size bed was extremely comfortable. My wife and I enjoyed looking at the "movie set decor and props." There are a wide variety of slot machines and a few table games from which to choose. The hotel and casino staff were courteous and helpful. If we had won a jackpot or two we would have tried the in-house steak house. However, without a jackpot, the prices were too high for our budget. Except for the Saturday evening crab legs, the food on the buffet was mostly marginally edible and significantly overpriced as well. The little grill/deli possibly had better food but a sandwich, fries, and a drink cost more than the daily buffet! Around Thanksgiving, there is nothing to do in the area but gamble and play golf. TV channel selection was horrible but guess what? You can pay extra for movies in your room!
The mattress was comfortable Couldn't stand the smokey atmosphere. Will not go back because of that.
The beds are wonderful, clean rooms, clean casino overall Received a text at 1145 saying my room would be ready at 12, get there, told I couldn't check in til 1:30-2:00. Go back at 1:45 to be told to come.back at 330. I was "checked in" at this point. Go back at 330 and stood in line for an hour , get to check in and was told I had to put a $50 deposit down. Even tho the room was paid in full. Had to go 10 miles to put money on my card to get back and ended up not even needkg it. Finally got in room at 5:00 pm.
Interior rooms which overlooked casino floor and movie like atmosphere. Secure elevators which required a card to access all floors was nice surprise. There was nothing else to do if you were not gambling or playing the slots.
Our room smelled like mold. The entire room was moist. It was the nastiest hotel room I've ever stayed in.
We liked going to the casino and gambling as well as the restaurants inside the casino. We paid upwards of $150 for one night stay in a king bed suite (only single bed room available) and the room was disgusting. It was damp and the windows were condensated, the televisions were old, the sheets and blankets were old and needed to be replaced, the lights on the wall were rusty as was the shower curtain rod and vents in the room. The shower curtain was moldy. Everything was dusty and there was a weird high-pitched ringing in the bathroom. It was ghetto to say the least.
Casino had a horrible mosquito problem. There was construction going on interrupted my sleep everyday and also knocked the power out a few times.
It was cracks in my room. Could hear everything dat cums ur way n da door had a big crack down da side of it. Could've stayed sumehere else dat was better for da same price.
This place is cheaper than the others for a reason. The hotel smells like a smoky, old, dirty hotel. Smoking is allowed at all casinos, but after visiting the other casinos this one has the most smoky, musty smell. The suite was a suite, but the floors and furniture were dirty and old. The tv had lines going thru each channel, probably bc it was an old tube tv. Wi-FI is not free, it's $11. I didn't expect something brand new, but I expected at least the quality of a Holiday Inn but did not get it. This place is in desperate need of a remodel.
1) Mosquitos, mosquitos everywhere - overrun 2) Sub par deluxe room 3) Smoking, smoking everywhere even at lobby 4) Sub par food 5) No real cafe
It's a cheap casino hotel room that needs updating. From the carpet to the tv. Good price but kind of dumpy It's a cheap casino hotel room that needs updating. From the carpet to the tv. Good price but kind of dumpy
Can't think of anything I personally liked about this place Run down resort, casino is geared towards slots, very small selection of table games, very dirty, rooms were dirty as well. Hotel room floors seemed to have a film of filth on them. Buffet was sub par. During our stay here, we played at other casinos, primarily the gold strike and horse shoe, both of which had outstanding casinos.
It was a cheap room, if you like gambling the casino is okay. I was in a non-smoking room, but the entire floor and building smelled like smoke, because people were smoking everywhere. Also, the floor in my room was sticky.
Arrived 15 minutes before 3 o'clock check in told could not checkin till 3 then walked away. Lady and gentleman in wheel chair behind us turned away to must wait till 3. The hotel and casino were empty why wait?
Great hotel at a great price! Room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was great.
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
The overall experience was awesome.... Not at all...
Decent room for the star rating. Very friendly staff
The room was on outside of building and you could hear traffic as if you were standing outside. Also you can hear every noise from people walking upstairs, dropping things etc. The elevator was out of service We will not return to the hotel!
The breakfasts each morning were very nice. No problems
We did not eat the breakfast. The room was clean, as was the bathroom. Our room was non-smoking but the floor we were on had both smoking and non-smoking rooms, so the hallway smelled like one big cigarette.
Clean, staff was awesome! She was awesome! Room was clean! Loved it!
Everything There was a hair in The coffee maker
Location, cleanliness, good breakfast. Bad smell in upstairs hall, stung my eyes, gave me a headache. The hall smelled like weed. I reported it to the staff who stated that they called the police. The night clerk sat down the entire time we checked in. We literally could see only her head.
Great staff No
Room reeked of smoke. We needed an air freshener and purifier in room Furniture reeked so bad it had to be covered with sheets Carpet was very dirty
I love the Roadhouse hot tub in the room. It is my favorite hotel because of that. It is relaxing as well as a great place to have fun. The power was out when I got there and had to wait a few hours after a long drive to get a room. I wanted coffee the next day sent to room and the housekeeping didn't bring it until I happen to hear them knocking at another room down the hall.
room at check in they couldn't find us in the computer at first, then they wouldn't use the same credit card used for resevation, i had to use a different one. they said it was for legal reasons??? i wasn't happy with that.
The rom was fantastic, the shower was dirty, over all my stay was great. The shower was dirty, the room was dusty, over all it was nice.
I had a great time at Tunica Roadhouse Casino & Hotel. The room was nice, just like the picture. I was looking forward to relaxing in the jacuzzi, got in with some bubbles, turned on the jets and all of this funky stuff started floating on the top of the water. If a hotel offers these tubs in their rooms they should b maintained correctly. The overall stay was great.
Friendly staff, romantic room, fun casino games, hot tub in room was relaxing for our little honeymoon getaway No restaurant
The bed was really comfortable and the room fairly clean. The chairs in the room were rather filthy. I was disappointed that there was not a good place to have breakfast in the morning.
I booked this room on kayak. When I checked out the clerk at the front billed my credit card again. So I was double billed !! Still haven't got that straight yet. I don't mind losing $ in the casino -- but don't just take it from me And expect me to work it out later !!! Buffet sux too !!
Close to other casinos and I do like this casino as well. Omg, we use to Love these rooms, but since the last time we stayed.. 2 years ago... It has gone WAY down hill!!! Very very smelly & worn out. Reeked of mildew & stains all over the carpet. The pillows were all different sizes but still worn out and aweful. We won't be staying there again until rooms are completely overhauled....stayed at goldstrike about 2 months ago, it was clean and comfy... Much better!!! I hate saying this about the shoe because I've had sooo much fun there thru out the years but it had to be said...
Nice facility Don't like that they still overcharge for wifi....$12.95...!!!!
The whole experience The fact that we had to leave
Sam's Town was perfect. Great accommodations for the price. The casino business is taking a nose dive. Harrah's is closed and Sam's Town has shut down 50% of it casino. All casinos visited were void of visitors. Had we know this in advance we would have gone elsewhere.
Everything in the casino. I didn't stay long enough.
Everything No fridge
The girl who Check us in was very sweet considering she had such a complaining guest. Close to casinos. The TV reception was absolutely terrible. The worst. Not enough channels. The bed was positively awful. The breakfast leaves a lot to be desired.
Great value, clean and quiet.
Our sheets had blood on them. Not old, stained blood but fresh, bright blood. That goes to reveal the cleanliness of the rooms. I had a hard time sleeping that night just thinking about other dirty things in the room that we couldn't see. My parents sheets were stained too with holes in the sheets. Their stain was a big brown spot. Just disgusting!
It was clean and decent location Ac didn't work in room 227 hot as hell
It was conveniently located in between all casinos (5min). Was clean and very friendly staff. outdated
First of all, worst Day InnI have ever stayed at. Outdated equipment and facilities, terrible breakfast selection, no elevators and NO ESPN Network. Are you kidding me?!? How can you have satillite TV and not be able to program in certain channels. I had to get a room at the adjacent Best Western just to watch the football games! I will never stay there again AND I have told everyone I can think of the same thing.
Everything was prttey good. No major complaints. Front desk mananger took bags to de NA
Brrakfast Needs to be remodeled.
