The owners were kind and helpful. They adjusted the breakfast hours to accommodate the guests' New Years Day sleep schedules. The bed was incredibly comfy, and we felt very welcome! The other guests were nice and friendly to talk to as well. There was an interesting architecture book in the breakfast room that we enjoyed perusing. Thanks!
Breakfast was exceptional
Rita the main innkeeper was a doll of a woman! There is always water and fresh artisan sodas stocked in a public fridge. The breakfast is included and it was absolutely amazing! I also wish I could buy her pillows because they are really fantastic! The location was very convenient to the Stanley Theater which drew us to the area. I would not be sure what else in Utica night draw people here other than an event. So I would not say Utica is a “romantic” getaway but as far as a location to stay I would come back to the Rosemont inn again happily. If definitely beats giving my money to yet another hote and there something to be said for this gorgeous older well kept building with incredible character and employees. They also off massages which is kind of interesting! Had we had more time or planned things better I should have totally gotten us some massages!
There really isn’t any negative that I did not like, it is in Utica which isn’t the most impressive town but I truly believe we found the diamond in the rough with this bed and breakfast!
This Bf&B is in an old brick house in the heart of Utica. Walkable to some restaurants, and to the very nice art museum. Family-run, it is going through some improvements (especially improving the bathrooms). The staff is mostly family, and very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast includes homemade pastries, and is very good.
Very friendly. The breakfast was out of this world!
