I could not rent the car due to the polices not included in the fine print as I was renting the car. The price was way over how much the original cost stated on the web page. The credit check was also unbelievable being I used 3 different credit cards and none of them were accepted. They should also mention the fact that you will need a $200 hold before renting he car. That will help with you guys not getting any service; tricking people.2.0 Poor

The website only stated that the cr fit card used to book the rental needed to be present upon pickup. I paid for the car and registered my uncle as the driver. They would. Or let him take the car unless I drive to hertz.....I was at work and unavailable to leave. So we lost $75 because of coarse the car had alr day been paid for at that point! Kayak or hertz charged my card with in 12 hours of the online booking!!! But still no car on the 15th!!!3.6 Poor

Was supposed to travel to NH to help my father after a surgery. Found out the day after renting (as I was in route) it was no longer necessary to come, my stepmother was going to be available to help after all. Called Hertz to notify them I would be returning the car early and was told no (0) refund would be returned cause I fully prepaid. I do not recall seeing this policy while renting, nor on the any website as I researched after being told this. Absolutely ludacris policy and I will never use Kayak, Expedia, nor Hurtz again. Also, via social media and word of mouth I will be letting others know how I was treated and of my displeasure. One location in Utica

The staff was not friendly. She cancelled my reservation without notice and had nothing on record when I arrived. After speaking with her for about 10 minutes she all of sudden had a car for me. Said it would be double the rate I booked it at. I had no choice so did this. On the way I call the 800 number to mention this and they tell me she put the incorrect drop off location. I spend an hour on the phone with them to get the correct drop off location confirmed. The women in the store was also not wearing a mask (despite numerous signs indicated it was needed) and she was coughing... it looked like she rolled out of bed and ended up at the counter. She was rude and didn’t seem to have a care in the world. Also when I arrive in NY I find out the location closed at 3 and there is no drop box - this was NOT mentioned to me at pickup. I then have to park the car overnight in NYC (for $38) and return the next morning to turn in the keys and get my receipts. Staff in NYC when I arrived were helpful.2.0 Poor
