Pros: Decor, atmosphere n beautiful views
Cons: Nothing yet !
Pros: We were told the food here was amazing and that is 100% correct. Some of the best we've had anywhere.
Pros: This place is a true experience! The photos don’t do it justice because it is so much more beautiful in real life!! The garden has such beautiful views over the mountains and on the Baru volcano. The little pool is wonderful after dinner when the whole garden is lit up. Olga is an amazing cook!! It does not matter what you order, everything is of haute cuisine level. Even breakfast looks like you are eating in a Five star restaurant. Her husband Stéphane is a very friendly and funny guy to talk to. They both make you feel really like special guests in the way every little detail is looked after.
Pros: Everything was perfect. Olga and Stéphane are very nice. The food was just delicious.
Pros: What an amazing place! We really wished we had spent more time here, but we were only passing through between Panama City and Bocas town. We stayed on both our there and return trips, and both times it was fantastic! Olga is an incredible cook, and there is so much food, it’s no wonder the name of their restaurant is La Gula (Gluttony)! We had to go with only the main meal on our way home, but were very glad that we had tried the full 4-course meal on the way out. The setting is picturesque, with amazing views and so many fireflies! They have a little nook for the kids to hang out in, and everywhere you look, there is something new to see. The rooms are comfortable, cozy, and neatly decorated. And the hot tub is a great place to relax and have some of the best passionfruit margaritas you’ve ever had!
Pros: Breakfast was great Olga really comes up with new varieties, the fruit was to die for. She makes every meal a special occasion. The view from the room is spectacular, the jacuzzi was a nice surprise. A true Refugio.
Cons: a light at the bed for reading would be great
Pros: The best food we have ever had, beatiful served, in very autentic inviroment. Exceptionel mountainview from the hot-tub. Cosy room, nice terrace with hammock. Freindly owner, with a fantastic humor, it was like visit your own family.
Pros: Awesome views, cocktails and food. The hosts were very attentive and created an atmosphere that was super nice for us. Would go again whenever we could. Thank you so much

Cons: All The staff The dorm Thanks family dinner The trail
Pros: Exellent view, super helpfull staff and really nice paths to hike
Cons: It wasn't very clean :( The bedrooms and bathrooms had spider nets and dust.
Pros: Gorgeous views of the mountains! Staff was fun and helpful, and the homemade dinner was awesome. Late night happy hour in the lounge was a blast!
Cons: There was no warning of the fairly intense hike up to the lodge, or information as where to park our car. We went a good portion of the way up a super steep hill only to have to turn around and come back down when we saw a sign requesting we park at the base. There was also an additional $3 fee for parking that was unexpected.
Pros: The treasure hunts and the activities are great. The bar makes it really easy to meet new people.
Cons: It could be a little cleaner.
Pros: The location is stunning, so fun to navigate and lots of cool spaces to hang out. Great Panamanian food!
Pros: The Lost and Found hostel is a great place to relax and to go for a couple of hikes. We left the bus at a fruit stand and followed a well marked path up the hill for about 15 min. The view from the terrace is amazing and there are many places with hammocks to hang out. There is a maze as well close by which is bigger than it seems. The kitchen is well equipped, tap water is drinkable and there are warm showers if you make it early enough. Workers are nice and helpful and they offer a few guided and self guided activities you can do around. Toilets and showers are a bit of a walk when you are in the dorms down at the hill but it is a great work out so not a big problem. Do not be afraid of bugs - it is the jungle and you will be fine. The only thing that reminds you that you are not that deep in the jungle as it seems is the sound from the street. At night you may here the loud engines of trucks and buses passing by.
Cons: It would be nice if each bed would have a reading lamp (each bed has its own socket though) and if the window would have a mosquito net.

Pros: The property is incredible. Loved waking up to hummingbirds in the mist.
Cons: There was no orientation so we didn’t know where to get water or food. We walked 20 minutes each way to a supermarket to find that it was available at the bottom of the hill. There are no tours offered by the staff. They find people to take you but it’s 2 hours away and you have to get there yourself.
Pros: Beautiful location.
Cons: Facilities are rather worn. We did not have running water in our cabin on arrival (fixed by following day) and the available water had detritus in it.
Pros: The outside looked nice and the garden was well maintained.
Cons: The entire place was lacking of a bit of attention. There was no coffee maker, no cork screw and the mattress was so soft it was hard to sleep without ruining your back.
Pros: the cabins where ok, small but cosy - the best was the beautiful overview over the valley and the nice garden
Cons: beautiful location but the electricity went off. We had to move to two other cabins what was quite a lot of work and discussion. The caretaker of the cabins told us to go to the lost and found hostels in order to get some food for the evening but the only serve their own guests there. After a 15min hike in the dark this was not satisfying.
Pros: the amazing view & location, the lovely friendly, ms Elsa
Cons: its hard to get there with a small/low/not so powerful car, although we managed.
Pros: I loved that everything was available in the kitchen. There were pots, pans and even salt and pepper. The grounds were well taken care of and Eneida was a great help! The view around the area was breathtaking and all you had to do was sit outside the cabin and bask in the beauty. I also loved that they had solar panels and instructions on how to save energy at night. I highly recomment Jilguero Cabins and will most definitely return in the future.
Cons: Wifi wasn't that accessible, since we were at the very top, but that wasn't a big issue for us. We came to get away from the hustle and bustle and that we did.

Cons: Dirty, big openings in thé ceeling and walls, wind blows trough, many mosquitos, only 2 Blankets for 5 persons, noise of rats or Mice sturing thé night ,matras very old bad for thé back, is worse than A mountain hut, too expensive for what your get
Pros: If you like the place to yourself with great views and strong WiFi connection in very rustic dwellings, then it comes highly recommended...
Pros: The view omg the view was awesome, the sunshine was in front of you!!!!!. Awesome weather. Is in the perfect place of the mountain! There is a police station nearby, also 3 restaurant also mini convenience store, and a Cafe, ( ask for the burgers). The rooms are tiny but comfortable. I will visit them again.
Cons: The WiFi is a lie, you have to go to the house next to the property to get some signal, ( this can be easily fix with a 60$ solution.), the cafe nearby like 2 min walking have WiFi :). No souvenir stores. :/ I really love it sorry!!
Pros: The only upside was the amazing location they have for the hostel.
Cons: I got to the hostel after telling them at what time I would arrive and it was completly empty. The staff memeber only arrived 5 hours after me. Doors were locked except for one side entrance. I had a messege waiting for me inside telling me that she wiĺl come back and thats it. There was no wifi even though it was said that their is, and the place is abviously neglected. I understood that the owner gave up on the hostel and is now running another time which is a shame because the place have potential. It just needs someone to make work with it.
