Pros: Absolutely nothing good to say about avis other then I will never take my business there, and so should you.
Cons: Getting the run around with what card i can use and cant, on top of that you have to have a perfect credit score in order for them to even rent a car. Thats just wrong and creates gentrification of class. So if you have lots of money and a perfect credit score, then by all means rent from here. If you are an average American who works hard and doesn't meet their requirements, don't bother stepping foot in their store. I was treated so much better by their competitor that i will be doing business with their competitor and recommending anyone to never do business with Avis. The policies that Avis has in place is just plain wrong.

Not what I was hoping.
Pros: Rental location was convenient. The car worked as expected.
Cons: I had specifically requested/rented a compact car, and was given a large sedan. I was told it was all they had when I arrived at my scheduled time, which I don't understand because I had made the reservation in advance. I wanted a small car for specific reasons.
The car I was given had clearly not been cleaned from the previous renter, the seats and detailing were dirty and the windshield and back window were smeared quite heavily. The smell in the car was also not pleasant.
When I returned the car, their "systems were down", so I was asked to write my email address on a piece of paper, make a few quick notes on the check-out paperwork and leave the key on the counter, without anyone looking over the car while I was there. There only seemed to be one person working and he was too busy to really help me. I never received any kind of email confirmation of the return. I just had to walk away hoping I wouldn't get docked for something. I'll probably avoid Avis next time.

Pros: Easy pick and drop off very helpful staff. Would rent from them again.

Pros: Staff was friendly and helpful. Car was nice and clean.
Cons: We chose an off-airport location because our flight arrived after midnight and to save money, but it may have been a wash when considering taxis to office from our hotel and from office back to airport.

Kayak is garbage. Adam the manager is great.
Pros: Adam the manager at PDX airport saved us after Kayak facilitated a rental at the "airport location" that was actually not at the airport and was also closed at the hour when the car was reserved.
Cons: Kayak tried to ruin our vacation.

Won't use Avis again due to customer service
Pros: Car was fine
Cons: Did not like that I was not told about the additional $200 reserve charge on my debit card. Also DID NOT agree to additional insurance. I never have and noticed that I was charged $7 a day and called and was told the only way I could get it taken off was to come into the terminal and speak to a representative. Well I was 2 hours south all week attending my fathers funeral and that was not a option! The person on the phone was not helpful at all. I have good insurance and would have never agreed to more !

Pros: The Avis rep at the pickup site went above and beyond! Stayed past closing for me as I was stuck in traffic due to an accident.
Cons: The interior windows were horribly streaked! Had to stop twice to clean them!
Super slow check in process, despite the employee'
Pros: Employees were extremely friendly and kind.
Cons: Printer was suuuper old and slow. Took 45 mins to get checked out, even with only 1 person ahead of us in line. Not the employees' fault though; the computer systems and printer were ancient, a lot of it has to be done by hand, etc. Get with the times, Budget!
