10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was faultless - breakfast was delicious, staff very accommodating, rooms spotlessly clean. One of the best hotels that I have stayed in.
7.5 Good
Pros: The welcoming letter of the Managing Director is very nice. All members of Staff are helpful. Most fantastic of all is the beautiful central location with unobstructed view to the Lago Maggiore. A nice small terrace before the hotel is very well cared of with professional friendly waiter. Parking places are always available nearby. The car is allowed before the hotel-entrance by arrival and departure. Amenities are not exceptional but ok.
Cons: Shower is basic but functioning is very good. Bed is quite hard. No pillow-menu. No feathers. Breakfast time is mentioned until 10.30am. About 10.15am choice is no longer completed.Although the ingredients are very good quality. The orangejuicemachine is noo longer connected. Streetnoice is disturbing nightsrest.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent lakeside location with wonderful view (having ordered and paid for a lakeside room). Very nice breakfast and very smart and comfortable facilities all round.
Cons: Lift a bit small.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast. Hot food and lovely fresh fruits and vegetables and a juicer available for a healthy drink. Great location for ferry, restaurants and shops. Staff friendly and helpful at all times. The beds are comfortable and the rooms spotlessly clean.
Cons: Hotel has no lounge except for a very small bar area that opens at 6.00pm. While there is a nice outside veranda for outdoor eating or just people watching it's noisy due to the busy road.

Pros: Big, clean, outdoor area was amazing!!! Magical there were swans in the lake at the hotel - like a fairy land.
Cons: Both my husband and I like to workout in the mornings (early) and the gym didn’t open until 10 am (understanding Italians run on a different schedule) this was annoying for us. The gym also didn’t have the best equipment (free weights and matts) - this is very minor as most people don’t like to work out at 7am on their holidays!!
4.2 Okay
Pros: Unfriendly and arrogant staff at reception Booked the room for 3 adults with side-lake view 11 months in advance, by arrival we Just got a 2p room and no lake view. By showing the booking papers the Just put a crappy camping-bed instead of the television-desk. Totally not a 3adult worthy!!! After complaining they suggested an upgrade to a normal 3p room for 220 euro per night EXTRA! On top of this the rooms are very old-fashioned, even no free bottle of water, no dry-clean or ironning services due to danger of fire Hahahha and this in a 4 star hotel, are you kidding me!

Pros: Wonderful grand hotel located by the lake, the personnel is very nice and helpful. Beautiful panoramas on the outside when you reach the terrace after the magnificent lobby, and garden. You can walk to a small part of town (Pallanza-Verbania) nearby, and in reaching distance to Verbania center. The restaurant is absolutely excellent, worth a try at least. The indoor pool is super and you can also rest outside in the garden, or even swim in the lake as well. Then please have a treat in the sauna/spa area if you can.

We definitely plan would choose this property again. Great value for price!

Cons: 7-8 minute walk from the pier and city center.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked the cleanliness of the bathroom and room, also the staff which was very kind. The breakfast was little but tasty.
4.6 Okay
Cons: the room was in front of 2 soccer stadiums, it had a lot of noise, the window sill was damaged and it didn't come down I had to put the curtain in order to avoid light, how difficult is to call a technician to fix it !!! also someone else came and opened my door with another key !!!
7.5 Good
Pros: An OK hotel in the area of sports centre--the name refers to that, not a town centre (don't get caught! :) It's 10 min walk away from Intra, same time from Villa Taranto botanical garden, both places have piers to get on boat routes.
Cons: Very simplistic, our room had no A/C, but free parking, breakfast included and price sold it for us
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good small hotel near to center Intra district. Close to supermarket Tigros. Simple breakfast- coffee, tea, cheese, bread. Staff very polite and pleasant. There is a parking in front of hotel.
Cons: Maybe for someone will be problem - football fields. And every day there are some training and games there.

Ostello Verbania - Verbania - Building
5

Overview Reviews
Ostello Verbania is a youth hostel located in a grand 19th-century villa, just a 2-minute walk from Verbania's historic centre and a few steps from Lake Maggiore. Guests enjoy a self-standing pool on site. Surrounded by a large park, the hostel offers a tranquil setting for your stay on the lake. Its rooms all have a private bathroom and Wi-Fi access. Each morning you can enjoy a large buffet breakfast, while looking through a selection of international newspapers. Parking is free at the Verbania Hostel. Boat trips are available to the Borromean Islands.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great view! And I was lucky to be alone in a room for 10 people. Breakfast was also really nice
Cons: It will be a bit hard to go up to the hotel with a suitcase, make sure you get a taxi or don’t have big bags
7.1 Good
Pros: Superb view.
Cons: About private room: very spartan, only one chair, an old cupboard, and four beds.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Only the price and my roommates
Cons: Very rude, aggressive and unhelpful receptionist! I left one day earlier because of her unacceptable behaviour. It is far away from the city center and the boat station. It is hard and tiring to arrive at the hostel because of the uphill location. Hard and long time access from train station. There are many children parties in the garden and they woke me up. There is no wifi available in the rooms, it is available only at the waiting room. Very incense heat in the dorms during the summer (definitely they must buy air conditions). Definitely this hostel must not be visited. I don't recommend it.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We had a double room. Basic, as can be expected in a hostel, but comfortable. Very friendly welcome. Great location to explore the town and the rest of Lake Maggiore.
Cons: Shower could be better.
7.1 Good
Pros: The view from the hostel was amazing, and the breakfast was very nice!
Cons: The hostel is a bit tricky to get to with public transport, as I couldn’t find the bus timetable online. Also there’s currently a kid’s holiday program on during the day until 5pm ish, which is fine, but just know that music is definitely loud during those times. Otherwise I loved my stay!

5.4 Okay
Pros: Great location near the lake.
Cons: Had to pay extra to park and walk a few minutes to get to the hotel even though on Kayak's website it said they had parking. No wifi available in rooms. Broken mini bar. Hairs on toilet even though the clean seal was around the toilet seat. Stained towels.
7.5 Good
Pros: In the center of the town
Cons: View just to the building in front. Poor breakfast

Pros: Service level very good Nice and helpfull staff Well located Good value for monney

Hotel Residence Zust - Verbania - Building
7
8.3 Excellent (635 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel Residence Zust in Verbania, you'll be next to a golf course, steps from Lake Maggiore and a 4-minute drive from Villa Taranto Botanical Garden. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great facilities, great value for money.
Cons: Rooms were very warm due to the very hot weather. No air con or fans made it difficult to sleep in the heat.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location right on the lake, with a nice, clean swimming pool, playground, pingpong table, rentable boats, and snack bar was fabulous - in particular for families. We also greatly appreciated the apartment-style housing with a kitchen and essential cooking equipment. This made up for the fact, that no restaurants were within easy walking distance
Cons: The breakfast buffet was perhaps the only weak point. The overall quality of the food (bread, cheese, vegetables) and beverages (coffee, juice) was rather low.
7.5 Good
Pros: Wonderful small pebbly beach for a dip in the lake. Really enjoyed hiring pedalo which had a little slide on it to add to the fun.
Cons: Room very small
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff and the location!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, nice pool, good breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel with pool and lake access. Easy parking in the cool which was a real bonus. Big bedroom with small fridge and a kettle which was a real bonus, also good sized bathroom. The owner Massimo was very friendly and helpful, even phoned and ordered pizza for us when there was a bad storm and we couldn't get out. Make sure to visit Isola Bella, well worth a visit.
7.1 Good
Pros: The apartment was spacious, but very basic, minimalistic furniture. It was clean. The pool is nice with children. The little beach is perfect for swimming in the lake. The location is good. The kitchen has decent amenities. The beds are good.
Cons: The price on booking is 42 euro a night higher than when you book directly with the hotel. According to the receptionist it was because you book for 4 adults, but we specified for 2 adults. The receptionist was not friendly when we confronted him with this.
7.1 Good
Pros: Our reservation was only for accommodation, which was satisfactory. Nice view of the lake and the sound of running water from our balcony. The location was good (if you had a car). The staff (especially Stella) were extremely polite and helpful. Hotel had a nice pool by the lake. Check-in and check-out were simple and quick, and we were allowed a late check-out. Hotel has private (free) parking.
Cons: The price for breakfast was too high. Road a bit noisy; you couldn't relax on the balcony in the evenings (I guess it was a lot more for the appartments at the front). Hotel was a 20-25 minute walk from the city, on a very busy and dangerous road; we were advised to use another road (which we did), which at some parts was completely dark and "scary".... Check out time was too early (at 10:00). Once or twice we tried (unsuccessfully) using the bus.....(didn't run or was too late so we gave up).

8.3 Excellent (467 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel Belvedere in Verbania, you'll be on a lake, steps from Lake Maggiore and a 4-minute drive from Villa Taranto Botanical Garden. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very good location directly next to the lake
Cons: No watercooker+tee in the room. You have to buy this stuff at the bar downstairs. Small plates and cutlery would be nice
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was our fifth stay at the Belvedere. Entire staff is most welcoming, especially Signore Paolo, who couldnt possibly be more helpful and accommodating. We feel it is our home away from home! Excellent breakfast and a perfect location. We wouldn't consider staying anywhere else when visiting the Lago Maggiore.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location of this traditional, Edwardian era hotel was excellent for catching the ferry around the islands. Our huge 4th floor room had a very high ceiling and dual aspect windows, meaning it was light and airy and offered fabulous views across the lake to Isola Madre and beyond to Stressa on the opposite shore. The bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom was also large with a walk in shower that could easily accommodate 2. The lift had been cleverly designed with to fit inside the original staircase, but had glass walls to maintain it's airy grandeur. Breakfast was generous and varied. with separate sweet and a savoury food stations. There were egg boiling points, ham cheese, rolls, cereals, muesli, yogurts, fresh fruit, cakes and croissants. Staff brought drinks to your table and were helpful and courteous. This is a more formal hotel, selected for its location and comfort as we were planning to celebrate our 36th Wedding anniversary on Isola Bella and Isola Pescatori. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of strolls along the lake.
Cons: As mentioned, the location was great for ferry connections and we thoroughly enjoyed watching the boats on the lake. Unfortunately, directly outside was a childrens' playground and with warm evenings we had the windows open, so their piercing screams travelled up to our room each night until around 10pm. Parking - there are parking restrictions outside the hotel due to the market traffic. Secure parking is offered but it's expensive. However we found free parking down the road on day one and left the car there throughout our stay.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: hotel is very close to ferry to approach all interesting places around. it's old fashion very classy but pretty renovated hotel with great and smiley stuff and terrific breakfast.
Cons: evenings were pretty cold but as in all Italian's hotels we stayed there wаs no heating available.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel situated on the lake front right near boat pick-up to go around lake. Lovely restaurant inside hotel. Lovely large rooms, very clean .
Cons: Nothing.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Location very good. Free parking was at some distance (as advertised) but an eight euro per day pass for just across the street in public parking was excellent. Restaurant next door was excellent. (Hotel did not serve evening meal) Front desk staff very helpful.
Cons: Room could have used a comfortable chair for reading. Bed lights too dim for reading in bed. Tile floor was cold. There was no heat or air conditioning, so window used for temperature regulation.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It was very clean, excellent location.
Cons: No facilities to make tea in room... Beds were not very comfortable...
Intra Hotel - Verbania - Building
10
8.2 Excellent (754 reviews)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location in the town next to the lake. Very good breakfast and friendly staff. The hotel has this specific Italian climate :) Efficient air condition quiet silent - we could sleep well.
Cons: The bathroom need some refreshment. It was clean, no issue on that but the interiors has some age and are not looking so nice.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff, location, and accommodations. Parking is available but it is about a five-minute walk from the hotel but they do have the capability of parking right in front of the hotel offloading your baggage prior to moving your car
6.7 Good
Pros: The staff in the breakfast room were very cheerful and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and the location is really good .
Cons: Too much noise from other bathrooms. We also got a room (nr 109) in front of the breakfast room so we were woken up at 7:30 by a whole group. Not exactly the time we had in mind. Why didnt the hotel warn us before? The bathroom could do with some freshening up and the fan was incredibly loud. The safe could barely hold a wallet, leave alone a tablet and some other valuables. The mattresses were also pretty hard. Basically this hotel was probably once at the top but is no longer in line with current times.perhaps loved by others but not by us.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very central location, clean rooms, good breakfast, helpful and accomodating staff!
Cons: Parking not direct at hotel, but close by.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was brilliant, reception staff very friendly. Beds comfy. Rooms clean.
Cons: Very boring breakfast, the same thing every day and not enough variation. Air conditioning kept going off in the middle of the night - not good in high temperatures. No secure luggage storage. No tea making facilities/kettle.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good, staff throughout hotel excellent, location outstanding!
Cons: Bed was very uncomfortable.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Samll hotel in city centre of Intra. Restaurants, Bars, Shops nearby. Very friendly and helpful staff. Large variety of breakfast at buffet.
Cons: The hotel including its interior is getting older, however so far still clean.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Easy to find and very good location on waterfront. Good selection of restaurants nearby. Close to ferry, lake boat trips and motorway. Secure free parking 400 yds from hotel.Only a monor
Cons: only a minor point...could have had a few more toiletries (eg shower gel sachets) in the bathroom.

Pros: The room was large and had a great view over the lake. The food was fresh and tasty. The staff were fantastic and we loved petting the baby goats!
Cons: Nothing it was amazing in every way! The drive up is slightly difficult especially with people coming the other way.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The quiet and relaxed setting, the views overlooking the lake and mountains, especially from the outdoor section of the restaurant.
Cons: It was difficult to have air circulation at night in the room as no insect prevention on door and no fan.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We loved our 3-storey room in a tower with a magnificent view on Lago Maggiore!
Cons: There were too much mosquitos. Bring your repellent if you want to have dinner outside!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very Friendly Staff, Rich Breakfast Buffet and Good atmosphere.
Cons: The Road that leads to the Property from Verbania is very dangerous [Specially in Bad Weather] with no ''Road Signs'' at all.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location, the view, the food and the hospitality.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was amazing and the staff was really friendly
Cons: The bed felt (and sounded) like it was from the Stone Age. Don’t expect a comfortable sleep here. The room was cold, when we told the staff about the fact that the heating didn’t work, we got (only) an extra blanket. Trying to wash your hands after a “long” toilet visit is impossible since there is no soap in the room to be found at all. There is not water boiler to heat yourself up with a nice cup of tea. Only a gas stove which seemed like it could kill you at night in your sleep if you’d use that to boil some water.

7.5 Good
Pros: Room size & location
Cons: Strange shower with no shower screen & no air con in room.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Very nice and diverse breakfast. Located next to the lake.
Cons: The hotel is worn down and needs renovation. I had booked the cheapest room for 1 person (75€/night). It was connected to the room next door that was occupied by a loud guest who smoked. I complained to the receptionist the next day and his reply was: ‘of course, you booked the cheapest room, what else do you expect?’. Extremely rude and unhelpful.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and rooms-at the upper end for a three star hotel
Cons: Its a 3 star not a 5 star hotel so one cannot expect everything
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel with direct view on the lake. Very big rooms with plenty of space and a balcony. Nice restaurant and bar. a lot of character. The price is very good given the situation of the hotel
Cons: A bit old, but this is part of the charm of this hotel. No swimming pool though, you can swim in the lake but you have to go to the public beach down the road.
7.5 Good
Pros: The location is perfect and the staff is very polite. The room is ok (mine was the double room).
Cons: The bathroom is very small. To take a shower can get complicated. The breakfast was too modest. Very few options.
7.1 Good
Pros: The location of the hotel made up for the dated interior. It was easy to imagine you had walked back in time to the thirties! To some guests this would be a bonus. We could imagine it would be a fantastic venue for a murder mystery location. Having said all this, the rooms with a view of the lake (at an additional cost) were wonderful. Breakfast was also plentiful and of good quality.
Cons: Again, just a tired hotel, that would cost a fortune to update. However, tea/coffee making facilities would not cost a lot to implement, and would be appreciated by many guests.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: It could have been aittle warmer.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a nice room with direct view on the splendid Lago Maggiore and the Borromean Islands. The breakfast was delicious and rich, with different cheeses, cold cuts, eggs, cereals and and fresh baken cakes.
Cons: No shower curtain, so taking a shower was a bit difficult without having the water out on the bathroom floor.
