9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and helpful hosts who really made us feel at home. Comfortable beds and bathroom. Enjoyed the swimming pool. Various possibilities to relax yourself inside and outside the house. Easy and free parking, 15 minutes walk to the centre. Very good bakeries and restaurants nearby.
Cons: Breakfast was good (the baguette and French cheeses were very tasty), but we expected a bit more variety (ham or salami, cereals, eggs, fruit salad, ...).
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice room if a little at altitude, with a shared lounge and toilet/shower. The owner let me park my motorcycle in the garage which was appreciated. Breakfast was excellent. As a bonus, the owner was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and the 1st WW sites to visit. I look forward to a return visit.
Cons: Perhaps 15 minutes walk into town. My room was on the 3rd floor and required three trips to get my luggage up the stairs.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A very pleasant period type hotel with old world charm. The owner was very good to deal with and very helpful seeing that I am disabled. I have to say the bed was extremely comfortable and I managed two good nights sleep.
Cons: Parking is extremely limited but in a historic city like Verdun that's quite understandable. When I first booked and said I am a wheelchair user, the hotel immediately contacted me to say they had no disabled facilities, however I chose to put up with the little inconvenience and managed well with the assistance of my sons.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful and cozy place with good facilities. The hosts (Alan and his wife and their son) were very helpful and friendly. They made a booking for us at a restaurant and recommended the best sights to visit. Breakfast was good too. House is walking distance to some tourist attractions and restaurants. A lovely stay overall!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent place to stay and very friendly people. It was very helpful for me that the owner could speak English too. I will definitely stay there again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best stay of my week long trip! The family was kind enough to pick me up from the train station, drop me off at the sites at Verdun Battlefield I wanted to see while giving a unique tour of the town. When it was time to leave the owner helped me locate my bus stop and was even kind enough to keep me company as I waited. I have nothing but great things to stay about La Dragee Hote and the family that operates it. Thank you for a great stay!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly host, comfortable beds.
Cons: Nothing, we had a very nice time.

Pros: Rooms big, cozy, clean and with great views. Hotel is the best in the area and has very helpful staff. Rooms offer choices for bed; ours had a king bed with plenty of space.
Cons: There was a daily fee for parking. I didn’t mind too much for a short stay but for extended stays, I would hope they waive the fee or extend a discount.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The owners were exceptionally accommodating. Very nice folks. Excellent room nice clean and modern. Close to everything. I would highly recommend.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It was difficult to access this place, as the door was into a garage and the apartment was up some stairs from the garage. The hosts were SO nice. They only spoke French, but the husband used a phone translator app and we did fine. The room is very eclectic. The bed was comfortable and breakfast brought to the room was very nice. Olivier recommended a local restaurant for dinner, which was great and gave us a complementary apertif.
Cons: The bathroom is pretty much the smallest I've ever been in! Parking is about a block away.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly, french breakfast on wished time in your room, fresh orangejuice :)), clean, comfortable.
7.0 Good
Pros: the place was secure and had good air conditioning, free secure parking for our motorcycle, the breakfast was good. The owners where friendly and accommodating.

Cons: Steep stairway up to the room on 1st floor.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was friendly, the room and bathroom were spacious enough and very clean. We were recommended a good restaurant.
Cons: The wi-fi didn’t work and the room had a window leading only to the corridor, not outside, so the air was quite heavy.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very off the beaten path and nice change from more tourist locations. Very nice couple, large clean room and breakfast brought to us. We communicated through google translate without difficulty. Quiet downtown and short drive to WW1 battlefields. A memorable experience.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly owner and pleasant reception from him. Rooms clean and well decorated. Car parking easy nearby.
Cons: There was a fridge and microwave but a kettle and some crockery and cutlery would have been appreciated.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was delicious and plentiful!
Cons: It was an unusual setup for a b&b. If it had been warmer, not sure how the a/c would reach the bedroom unless you slept with the door open. ????

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Our host informed us of the annual outdoor show "Des flammes à la lumière" about World War I and the battle of Verdun. We got tickets and enjoyed the experience tremendously! We would never have seen this show if it were not for our host pointing this out to us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything.
Cons: Nothing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect for traveling Verdun and the battlefield areas. The place was clean and cozy. Nothing fancy but a great place to rest your head at the end of the day.

Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ghislaine is so kind and helpful, she made us feel at home! Her house is very central. The room was cozy and comfortable. Delicious breakfast!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My boyfriend and me were searching for a room in verdun and booked this one. We didn't expected it to be that perfect. It's comfy, hygienic and central. We always found a parking lot and we're able to visit most things by foot. For anyone who wants to have a cheap but absolutely nice stay can be certain that booking this room is a great opinion. (and not to forget... The landlady is absolutely lovely! ❤️ I would definitely come back here! )
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We came as a family of five (two adults and three children ages 8-13). It has a charming character and quaint homey feel reminiscent of visiting distant relatives. Private bath for one bedroom and shared bathroom for the other two rooms were more than adequate and very clean. Knowledge of French would be helpful; however, we got along fine knowing only basic greetings and vocabulary. The hosts also provided a delicious and enjoyable French breakfast for a nominal extra charge which was a good value.
Cons: Nothing negative comes to mind.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A well situated b and b in verdun. This is not a high end luxury stay but just what we wanted. Very good price, were very helpful allowing us to park a trailer in their garage (at minimal cost). Standard french breakfast - croissant, bread, home made jams, yoghurt, tea and coffee etc. Rooms accessed by stairway. Owner sends a message reiterating there is no A/C and stairs to negotiate. For an overnight or short stay where you just need a clean bed and bathroom this is the place.
Cons: Nothing not to like. You get what you pay for with a helpful smile from the owner.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was lovely, French breakfast, fresh and homemade jams. The breakfast room was so beautiful and filled with homely charm, and had a plant filled balcony overlooking the garden.
Cons: I would have loved a mirror in the bedroom so that you didn't have to occupy the bathroom to put your makeup on. That's the only request I have.
Maison de 1853 - Verdun
6
8.7 Excellent (173 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The friendly family atmosphere.Nearness to dining and shopping
Cons: Parking
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The property was spacious and comfortable, and nicely quirky of character. Roman was welcoming and delightful, kind and thoughtful in approach, and prepared for us a wonderful breakfast in a glorious and tranquil outdoor patio setting. Roman also gave us a great restaurant recommendation - just right for what we had asked for.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property, comfortable room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The 2-bedroom apartment was plenty of space for our family of 5. The host was very kind and helpful. The location is wonderful—short walk to many restaurants and tourist sights. We would definitely stay there again.
7.5 Good
Pros: The location is great, we found nearby, free parking, Roman was very nice and helpful, garden is beautiful.
Cons: Bathroom down the hall ( but not shared) shower and sink in room. Internet works only downstairs, not in the room. House has a lot of interest and charm, but it’s dingy. The central hall needed painting decades ago.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very pleasant and accomodating host. Nice facilities and amenities, and a great location. Good-size flat screen TVs in the rooms, even a nice outdoor garden area for earing or relaxing. A very historic property as well. Stay comes with a very nice, complete and fresh continental sit-down breakfast every morning.
Cons: It could not have been better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Roman was wonderful. He couldn’t do enough to help. When we asked if we could borrow 2plates and knives and forks, he set up a table for us with napkins, water and everything we needed. Breakfast was a feast with much more than we could eat. The position of Maison de 1853 is fantastic. We were able to walk to all of Verdun’s attractions but a car is needed to visit the battlefields and Rememberance Meuseum which is a must.
Cons: Nothing, everything was as stated.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The building and garden alone make it a perfect place for a weekend trip. Unfortunately didn't have enough time for breakfast in the garden, but would definitely come back here for a laid back break in Verdun.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly welcome by the host, who nicely complied with all our requests and gave excellent advice about sightseeing and dining. Very large and picturesque room, large modern and very functional shower. Abundant fresh breakfast. Quiet relaxing environment, lush garden where we could take our dinner.
Cons: The loo at the bottom of the corridor is slightly inconvenient.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This place is unique. The building is an old mansion dating back 150+ years and has seen lots of different uses over time. It has high ceilings, huge rooms, a mosaic on the bottom floor, a huge garden, and a staircase fit for Scarlett O’Hara. The decor is artist meets antique dealer meets college dorm room. Our room was billed as the family room and it consisted of two huge rooms, 5 beds and an enormous bathroom. We showed up early, soaking wet from riding our bicycles in the rain, and the young man running the show apologized for not having the room ready (we were 4 hours early), unfolded an antique table, laid it with vintage china, poured us coffee to warm us up and then whisked upstairs to prepare our room(s). This is a place I will remember for the host’s passion for his (and his mom’s) home, for his welcome, and for the totally quirky room. It is also a short walk into downtown Verdun.
B&B Hotel Verdun - Verdun - Building

With a shared lounge, the 2-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. The property is non-smoking and is located 8 km from Verdun Memorial. Verdun Battlefield is 2 km from B&B Hôtel Verdun, while Mondial Center for Peace is 2.9 km away. The nearest airport is Metz-Nancy-Lorraine Airport, 101 km from the hotel.
7.0 Good
Pros: Good shower. Good mattresses. A/C. Great bread, croissants, jam, and coffee. Eggs and bacon needed more cooking. Lots of parking.
Cons: No elevator. Many steps to our room on the third floor (4th floor in U.S.). When we asked for a lower room because steps are a problem for me, we were told that there were no more rooms. We made our reservation months in advance, but were given a room on the tolp floor with sloped, low ceilings that we hit our heads on all the time. Make sure you specify that you need a room on a lower floor. Heavy comforters need to be replaced with lighter comforters in the summer. It was just too warm, even with the air conditioning (which was appreciated). No room in the bathroom to put anything.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location good for town
Cons: The entry system codes etc
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Complete breakfast for inexpensive price. Front desk staff very helpful.
Cons: No staff at front desk in the afternoon, so we couldn't check in when we first arrived. Doors locked, only open morning and evening. Not a big problem since we had a rental car and could return later. Also, no elevator, but we knew that in advance.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good parking and very clean.
Cons: No lift.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy beds.
Cons: More extra pillows in family room.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast is better than usual in France and very reasonably priced. The rooms are simple but clean and functional. If arriving by car the location is good with plenty of free parking. There is a McDonald's close by and some supermarkets within easy reach. The nearby Buffalo Grill is a good dining choice. The drive to the battlefields of Verdun takes just ten minutes.
Cons: The absence of a lift might dissuade some older guests. A small fridge in each room would be an improvement the hotel might consider. The biggest problem was that access to the hotel via a room code out of staff hours (afternoon and late evening) relies on a credit card the machine will accept and it rejected all four Australian credit cards we had. This meant killing time for an hour before staff came on duty in the late afternoon. Had this been a late evening arrival it would have been a real problem. The hotel needs to solve this problem.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Perfect for a budget stay when working in the area. Does what it says on the box basically.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Easy access to Verdun.
Cons: Stayed here for one night on our way down to the Alps. Room was not overly clean and the toilet had not been cleaned and still contained the hairs of previous guest who had obviously just shaved. Double bed had only one pillow. Difficult to check in as it was Sunday and they were shut until 5 so we were told to return later.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was satisfactory, but overpriced. Rooms are air conditioned.
Cons: No hair drier in the room. Available television channels were not as promised by the hotel.

Pros: Evening meal in the restaurant was excellent
Cons: Nothing
6.8 Good
Pros: Staff very friendly. Dinner better than expected for star rating of hotel.
Cons: Pool wasn’t available despite appearing full of water and clean. No explanation given. We had booked this hotel especially as it had a pool and weather very hot, so disappointing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location is good for access to Verdun and the surrounding historical sites. The room was clean and comfortable, if a bit on the small side. Staff were personable and helpful with two non-French speakers. Breakfast was amazing.
Cons: The room could have been a bit bigger.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were clean (and small) and are best described as plain. Service was excellent and the food and the service in the restraint were both excellent. Outstanding menu well priced. No wonder it is a favorite for business travelers in Verdun area.
Cons: Rooms in need of remodeling
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food is amazing
5.8 Okay
Pros: The place is a bit dour and the food only so so, the room was OK though for an overnight stop only.
Cons: Food and check out experience wax a little impersonal considering what you pay for the night. 14 euros for a watery bolegnese!!
7.5 Good
Pros: We had a large clean room with everything we needed for our stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and filling. As were visiting the local WWI sites we didn't spend too much time in the hotel and ate in the town.
Cons: Would have liked a dip in the pool but we could smell the chlorine from our room so didn't bother.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice little inn outside of Verdun, conveniently located to World War I historical sites. Comfortable and roomy, after staying in a more cramped hostel, it was nice to spread out and have some privacy. Clean, friendly staff, no complaints!
Cons: We booked very last minute so it wasn't the best rate, but for the area and the type of room we got, it was a great value.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great final stop over for our trip. Food was excellent as were the staff. Met all our expectations.

Pros: Friendly welcoming staff
6.8 Good
Pros: Friendly staff and location
Cons: Need more wardrobe space
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This typically french hotel situated in the heart of Verdun has the friendliest staff always happy to help and very tolerant of my poor french skills.Excellent coffee and croissants in the morning, our second time staying here and we will definately be back.
Cons: Pillows could do with refilling as a tad flat, but still slept well.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good value for money.
Cons: Breakfast was ok but unfortunately the coffee was undrinkable :-(
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff was fantastic. The breakfast was excellent. The location was very convenient for our travel to surrounding military memorials.
Cons: Bed was to firm for my old bones.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Stunning value for money. Lovely, friendly, helpful receptionist. Excellent location.
6.3 Good
Pros: This is a low end hotel. You get what you pay for. The rooms are tiny but the place is very clean and the staff are very friendly.
Cons: The view from my room was a wall just a few feet away. Lighting is very dark.
Ibis Budget Verdun - Verdun - Building
10
7.2 Good (1,447 reviews)
Overview Reviews
The ibis budget (ex Etap Hotel) is situated 2.3 miles from the town center and offers fast access to the most striking tourist sites in Verdun: the Citadelle underground galleries, the Maison Braquier, etc.) The Douaumont battlefields, fort and ossuary an d the Verdun Memorial are just 3.1 miles away. Ibis budget is the smart choice for accommodation: modern rooms designed for 1, 2 or 3 people, with a shower, toilet, flat-screen sat TV and free WIFI. Delicious buffet breakfast at an affordable price!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: For the cost the breakfast was great value. The hotel is in a quiet area which meant a good nights undisturbed sleep. Restaurants nearby and with the centre of Verdun only a short drive away made it an ideal stopover to recharge before continuing our journey.
Cons: Could not fault anything.
7.5 Good
Pros: Beds were comfortable. Prices are great for those on a budget.
Cons: Room could have been cleaner.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location central but surprisingly quiet. Good breakfast.
8.3 Excellent
Cons: Could have been informed about self check in.
7.0 Good
Pros: It was a budget Ibis and so it was basic but clean and tidy room . Very good wifi and excellent price . The location is in an industrial/retail park . We were mainly there to look at the War history sites in the area and so it was perfect for us . We did not eat in the hotel as there were quite a few generic restaurants nearby.
Cons: We did want a breakfast one day but you apparently you have to have ordered that in advance. Although, it was not really a problem as we found somewhere to eat without any trouble.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Typical short term stop over hotel. It’s bare bones and small but we weren’t staying long. The staff was nice and the room was clean. After airing out the room for a few minutes of the stale air it was fine. Plenty of parking.
Cons: The AC didn’t do much to cool off the room. I’m glad the windows opened all the way.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness location
Cons: Poor bed - sagged in the middle needed replacing
4.3 Okay
Pros: Good location
Cons: The staff was rude. A gentleman asked to sit at a table in the completely empty "restaurant" and she refused to let him. She should have handled it way better.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Location is good, and road access is easy. Plenty of parking and the Poivre Rouge restaurant up the road is friendly and offered great value.
Cons: This hotel failed for me in two major ways. Firstly, it totally lacks, any kind of lounge or lobby facility, except fir a small breakfast seating area that is only open in the morning to those who have prebooked breakfast the day before. If you just want somewhere to sit and relax, you are our of luck. But the room layout is the biggest issue. Each room is basically a bathroom with a bed in it. The wash basin is in the main bedroom, and the shower opens directly into the room as well. There is absolutely no privacy and one person cannot use any of the facilities without interrupting their partner. It's just a horrible room layout that sacrifices practicality just to save money. The attitude of the staff was also mediocre, and it annoys me that we were not warned at check-in that you could not order breakfast after 9pm. All in all, I question whether this place delivers enough to really be ckbsiderdd a hotel; to me, it is a utilitarian hostel.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Check in quick and easy
Cons: Smelly bathroom again and a not clean with a hair or two left behind. Sheets were overly starched so uncomfortable in hot weather. Room was airless and even if window could have stayed open there was a bright light from the entrance. Lots of flies as fields nearby were being harvested. Didn't sleep well at all.
Citotel Du Tigre - Verdun
11
7.2 Good (1,054 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Verdun, Citotel Du Tigre is within a 5-minute drive of Monument de la Victoire and Mémorial de Verdun. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice and quiet
Cons: Nothing I could mention.
7.0 Good
Pros: Good sized room and bathroom in front bedroom of the original old house.
Cons: First given room n annexe at back. Stank of long-term cigarette smoking. Disgusting smell, so went back to desk and after a slight look of disbelief they gave us a good room, fresh and clean. Why did the cleaner not report the room? Why allow smoking in any room at all?
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, clean room, we required no breakfast
6.3 Good
Pros: the coffe of the breakfast was ok. the price of the breakfast expensive, coffe, bread , croissant, yogourt and butter. Parking it was inside the hotel aerea. if you travel with rent a car us good to have free parking.
Cons: What Can I say, the room was in the roof, so without a lift, to take the luggage up to the room it was really hard. Even the room is big, is very bad decorated, the bedspreads are really unpleasand even to remove them, it seems to be the year of the hotel. the blankets were also old, at least the towels and bed sheets were ok, the bathroom is also unpleasand, and what to say the hot of the room as it was on the roof, the room was in about 34 degrees and impossible to sleep. I recomended to go to Ikea, or to Zara home and change the linens.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: good location to the WW1 locations.
Cons: Could of had better looking rooms.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A pleasant stay. A little out from the center so we drove in. But, the easy parking and access more than made up for it.
7.5 Good
Pros: The staff was very friendly and had a hair dryer available for me per my request. The building and rooms were clean, the rooms were efficient and fine. I appreciated the small wardrobe and nice bathroom as I stayed a few days.
Cons: The breakfast was very sparse and the coffee/hot water machine was not available in the evenings. The bar was not open as well. The hotel is in a residential neighborhood with little around it and it was a bit of a walk to get to the closest good restaurant. Be prepared to walk.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel made it easy for exploring the various historical sites outside the city. The room was quiet and clean.
Cons: We were there when the temperatures were in the 100's. There was no air conditioning and no fan.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: 2 nights everything was fine
Cons: Shower door ‘ breakfast poor
9.3 Excellent

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Enough parking space, rooms are clean and very close to the spectacle.
Cons: Breakfast choise and amount was not much
5.8 Okay
Pros: I liked the location- it was very close to the local tourist attractions. There was also a restaurant serving good food within walking distance for our evening meal.
Cons: When we arrived the reception was dark. The staff had no knowledge of our booking- fortunately I had the booking details on the booking.com app. We had booked a double room for my wife and I, and a triple room as according to booking.com there were no twin rooms which we needed for my mother and daughter We paid extra for the privilege of a triple room. When we were allocated our rooms we were given 2 twin rooms which we were lucky to get as the hotel was very full and were still charged the price of a triple room! There was no lift for luggage The stair railing was loose The pillow on my bed was not so much a pillow but a bit of fabric stuffed inside a pillow case. Our room had a faint aroma of cigarettes. Fortunately we were only staying for one night so it did not matter but had I been staying longer I would have been disappointed.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Pool food location value
Cons: The bed was hard.
7.0 Good
Pros: Good value for money. The location was good.
Cons: Not enough electric points in the room. Dinner in the restaurant was below the standard expected.
7.5 Good
Pros: Friendly owner/manager; spoke reasonable English and keen to help. Also had a couple of drinks before dinner in their restaurant and he waived the charge; nice gesture
Cons: The standard of decorations in the room, particularly the bathroom, were really tired. Overall, the place could benefit from a face lift
10.0 Excellent
Pros: staff were really helpful despite the language barrier (my French is not up to standard) a great place to stay, and easy to find.
Cons: everything was good, nothing bad to say
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Basic 2 star hotel, spotlessly clean. Friendly staff. On the outskirts of Verdun, but close to the motorway and over the road from a retail park, supermarkets, McD, and a tyre repair shop, that couldn't have been better placed.!.
Cons: Hope you were listening in the French Lessons at school. !. This is rural France abit off the beaten track. But still brilliant.!.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: There was plenty of parking, some at the front of the property and a larger area at the rear. It was within walking distance of a large supermarket. Our room had a lovely view over the valley. There is a restaurant but we did not use it. The lady at reception did not speak much English and I do not speak much French but we managed with a lot of laughter and mime and she was very helpful.
Cons: After seeing balladin hotels advertised on television I was expecting something a bit more upmarket. Our room was basic but had everything we needed.
7.0 Good
Pros: Nothing stood out to make a positive answer
Cons: Quite dark in the room
7.5 Good
Pros: Location good for local sightseeing and there is a great food / shop outlet nearby called the Planet Wok
Cons: Was hoping to eat in the restauraunt but it was closed breakfast was poor the next morning too

The hotelF1 Verdun, located 1.2 miles (2 km) from the city center, is within easy reach of the finest tourist attractions: the Citadelle Souterraine underground galleries and Maison Braquier, famous for its sugared almonds. The Douaumont battlefields, for t, and ossuary and the Verdun Memorial are just 3.1 miles (5 km) away. The hôtelF1 Verdun is your smart choice for accommodations: refurbished rooms for 1, 2, or 3 people, flatscreen TVs, and free WIFI. All-you-can-eat breakfast!
6.8 Good
Cons: Restroom and Shower aren’t that nice. Like festival style
5.5 Okay
Pros: It was a cheap option for a one night stop on our journey. The simple breakfast was OK, though it would have been nice to have plates! There are a number of restaurants all within walking distance.
Cons: Our room was right above the main entrance where everyone went to smoke, meaning the smoke and smell came up into our room. There are no air conditioners and with the temperature we needed to have the window open. The beds were not made when we arrived so we had to make them ourselves. The toilet facilities are shared and can only be compared with those on a train or airplane. The shower was similar - overall using the shared facilities was not a pleasant experience. Other guests on our floor were talking and generally loud well into the night. The photos shown did not match where we stayed - they appear to be from a different hotelF1 somewhere else.
6.3 Good
Pros: F1 are openly budget hotels offering basic accommodation . They do exactly what they say they do. No frills basic accommodation
Cons: Probably too basic for me. Didn’t like shared bathroom facilities. No towels provided. Need to provide own or but which came as a surprise
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Right next to the Buffalo Grill ;) The hostess was very sweet and helpful.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location was good. Places to eat near by.
Cons: The breakfast was only cereal & bread, butter and jam. Besides coffee, oj & water.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Room was smell on cigarettes
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Well priced
Cons: Shared bath rooms
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This an F1 Hotel so not really a normal hotel. You get what you get i.e. a room with a bed and screen -shared bathroom facilities. At first I was a bit surprised at how basic it was but then I realised it worked. Check in after 9:00 is with credit card at a machine outside the door. It gives you a code to get in and for your room.
Cons: No towel provided - had to buy one for €3.
6.8 Good
Pros: Basic needs met
Cons: Typical F1 fare with a basic breakfast and shared shower facilities etc Pratical and cheap. Serves a purpose

Overview Reviews
A stay at Hôtel Les Colombes places you in the heart of Verdun, within a 5-minute drive of Mémorial de Verdun and Monument de la Victoire. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, easy on street parking, small but comfortable, basic but clean. Staff helpful and Verdun lovely.
Cons: Nothing.
6.8 Good
Pros: Underground parking for motorcycles is great, although a little dark (lighting could do with being improved but acceptable).
7.5 Good
Pros: Secure parking for motorcycle
Cons: Bathroom smelled of wee and the sliding door would not close
4.5 Okay
Pros: The first room we were shown was appalling. Broken shelf just left on the floor with screws exposed. Dirty floors. The 'upgrade' was a little better, but they need to buy a vacuum cleaner and use it. Dust and dirt everywhere. Broekn tiles, poorly decorated, no tea/coffee facilities. Shocking just shocking and confirmed by 2x German Couples staying at the same time.
Cons: Everything. Looks promising on the website, but it's not nice.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The fellow who checked us in was very casual and super friendly. The room was newly renovated and looked very uncluttered and modern. The location was absolutely perfect! Very close to the train station and lots of dining.
Cons: We arrived early and would’ve like to check our bags so that we could explore prior to the 3 PM check-in, but the hotel was closed until 3 o’clock so we had to drag our wheeled bags around with us as we explored. During our stay, apparently they were doing some work on the sewer and the bathroom smelled unbelievably horrible. It was so horrible that I wanted to give all terrible ratings, but it seemed as though it was a temporary problem.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The hotel is located very close to the city center, that's the only thing good about it.
Cons: The staff at the hotel is unfriendly and doesn't seem to care about the guests. The hotel itself is very old and neglected, the rooms aren't clean at all. Breakfast is very basic and twice there was no bread left, and the staff didn't care about it. The chairs in the breakfast room are very dirty. On booking it says they speak to languages but they don't! Next time when I go to Verdun and all other hotels are booked I will change my travel dates!
7.0 Good
Pros: It was easy to find and handy for the bars and restaurants
Cons: Needed a face lift
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Under ground parking for the motorbike
