Great hotel for the price, wide variety of breakfast choices. A bit far from town, but we were en-route to Germany, so didn't mind that at all. The room was quiet, comfortable and clean.
Room was clean, did not smell of tobacco smoke. Staff was efficient. Breakfast was good (standard French breakfast). Internet connection poor in room. I also would have preferred a hotel that is walking distance from center of town, which this one is not.
Good parking, quiet, value for money, friendly staff
Easy to locate by car.
Warm, clean and comfortable bed There were no hot drink facilities in the room
c'était tranquil - het was er stil - it smelled awful, very bad (toilets? it is really very budget
Room was of a good size and clean Room was cold, I asked for the heating to be put on only to be told this didnt happen until 6pm.It was only 8 degrees ouyside!!!This is just unexceptable
Hotel was tidy and clean. Was being refurbished during our stay so the breakfast room and some of the services were limited because of the work.Generally good.
A lovely spot out of town. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Be sure to order breakfast, loads of choices on offer.
Value for money Public transport from hotel to town not very regular
it was a functional overnight stay en route for somewhere else arrived at 15.00 but could not check in until 16.00 as no-one on reception
Lovely restaurant round it and easy to get into Verdun once you have found the hotel. Couldn't find it except when we put the satnav on. Its on a new complex.
The hotel is brand new, room basic as you might expect for this sort of budget hotel, but comfortable, clean, well designed, and everything worked. good facilities for disabled people. Staff pleasant, breakfast - continental, but good bread coffee etc. Very difficult to find as signage very poor . They said it would soon be better as they are on a new out of town shopping area.
The hotel is a good bargain for the money, including the breakfast, which is actually pretty tasty. It's barebones functionalism, but for the price you can't go wrong. week internet connection in my room, but with the aid of a 3g adapter my laptop functioned adequately,.
Good location, A clean warm room at the end of a long day travelling No
The hotel provided what we needed for an overnight stay. Not easy to find coming off the a4 motorway from the direction of Reims.More sign posting would be a great help and a more detailed access map from both directions of the motorway on the hotels' web site. The name of the street just does not appear on any map of Verdun that I looked at.
not far from motorway, ample car parking, very clean excellent for a short stay. we had to wait for staff to arrive in order to check in
The rooms were clean (and small) and are best described as plain. Service was excellent and the food and the service in the restraint were both excellent. Outstanding menu well priced. No wonder it is a favorite for business travelers in Verdun area. Rooms in need of remodeling
unusual but interesting, still work in progress.clean. quite a lot of steps up to the bedrooms
The room we stayed in was very spacious, much larger than the typical European double. The meals that we had at the restaurant were very good.
Quirky and different!
Great rural location and excellent dining. Breakfast was good but limited (continental).
beautiful buildings, specially the restaurant
The Hôtel des Colombes is perfectly located. It is very close to many historic sites and the Office de Tourisme. Also, the staff are very helpful and friendly. The lighting in the bathroom was a little dim. Also, there was a faint cigarette smoke smell in the room. This is fairly typical of France.
A very professional yet nice and relaxing hotel. Very special since it is a chateau. Yet relaxed enough.
Complete luxury and relaxation. Quality of cusine absolutley perfect Nothing
The beautiful setting
Beautiful chateau and grounds by the river Meuse; excellent food in the restaurant; friendly helpful staff; lots of character
Beautiful building in lovely setting. Staff were extremely helpful when my partner arrived with a knee injury. Extensive and very attractive park with river give delightful views Food was a bit expensive for us but delicious nonetheless
Online booking (many French country hotels do not have this). Very pleasant staff, good value, great restaurant
The staff was very good. It was a lovely area.Good bed, large for Europe. The bed cover had a cigarette burnn it. The furniture as very dated. A wicker chair in the bath and old 60's sofas are not luxury. Need a desk and better lighting.
Beautiful facility - great food. I liked the hotel very much but think that most North Americans would find the meals a bit expensive. Great nonetheless!
the location was perfect with a stream and farmland nearby. the restaurant was superb and all hotel staff very friendly.
Excellent parking and breakfast
Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Restaurant food was very good Old hotel which seemed a little bit run down, situated in a fairly run down town. Rooms were clean and adequate, but could do with updating, hot at night (August) as no air conditioning.
Dinner was excellent Breakfast was basic
Very nice staff. Good value for money. No wifi.
it was close to places of interest, provided an evening meal. Although the food was good we thought more simple french cooking would have been more to our liking
We could not have been better welcomed by the owners. Pleasant, helpful and kind and clearly on top of all of the details of operating the hotel restaurant. Rooms were spotless, nicely decorated and comfortable. Restaurant served very good dishes on the fixed price dinner menu with a reasonable wine selection as well. We will definitely return. We were looking for something more in the country so we were thrilled with the location in the small village of Damvillers.
