the rooms breakfast
A stlyish hotel with excellent facilities and service.Superb breakfast. The signage outside the hotel is inadequate.
Convenient location behind Parliament & RatHouse; newly renovated with nice design & modern decorating; restaurant & bar with outside patio we had a room on the second floor facing the street; despite double windows, the traffic noise was loud till early in the morning; request rooms not on the street.
The hotel is located right behind the City Hall, near to the sightseeings. Service at the reception excellent. We liked very mucht the exhibition of the artist Ioan Nemtoi.
Meal Laundry service
The room was big, modern and had air conditioning. The location was terrific Nothing I can think of specifically
Lovel gracious style, exceelent, well-informed staff (Roland was especially good), and a great restaurant on location. One of the best breakfast services in europe.
exellent location, comfortable style, nice desighn, exellent service nothing to complain on
everything narrow corridors
hotel staff, room facilities, location no
good location, easy access, modern unobstusive design the service staff is good however, they could be a bit more proactive in satisfying the customers questions. Concierge/FO has poor restaurant knowledge.
go for the cityview rooms - really enjoyed staying there breakfast was very generous, nice choice, excellent service the staff accomodated my wish for using the wellness area before the normal opening times
Very nice room, upscale, great breakfast. Central location near major attractions in the ring. Nothing I can think of
We booked through Booking.com and were given a Privilege Room, which was very comfortable - nicely decorated, great bathroom, large bed, and nice linens. Our travel companions booked the same way as us, at the same time, and were given a regular room, which had no air conditioning and was quite uncomfortable. Upon speaking to the hotel about the situation, they were moved into a Privilege Room as well.
Really helpful staff. Comfortable bed and room and great location. Only 1 iron for the whole building. Located in a special room on the first floor.
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was excellent. Liked the room configuration Was not clear that there was no kitchen or real bar - these facilities could have useful
Comfortable hotel in the center of the city though in a quiet side street. Very close (10-15 min walk) to the famous caffe-conditorie Lantmann, City Hall, also to the tram No. 1 and 2, which go through most tourist attractions. Metro is in 5 min walk. Very good location for tourists as well as for people on business. I had double room which could be larger but was clean, with comfortable bed. Shower (not bath) was new and clean. Breakfast was sufficient (buffet style) and included eggs, bacon, sausages, cold ham and other meats, cheeses, several kinds of bread, milk products, pastries and strudel, free champaign. Breakfast room is pleasant, with entrance to the small inner yard which is nice for those who want have coffee outside or for smoking people. There is also a bar in the lobby. Staff is helpful and nice. In summary, it is quiet, not fancy but very comfortable hotel with excellent location. I would stay here again. There was nothing that I really did not like, although I would prefer larger room.
Excellent location. Metro very near and you can also walk everywhere. Breakfast was very good and plenty. Staff was helpfully and friendly. Check-in and out was quick and simply. Good totality.
Great location. Helpful staff. Modern and spotless rooms. Very nice breakfast but a bit pricey considering the price of the room.
Traditional elegance (beautiful staircase) in the building; the room was quite modern in decor and this worked well (upper floor level, with "Velux"- style window, so no view). Well positioned, within a walk (through lovely parks and squares) from the town centre. Somewhat surprised there was no room safe. (And also I think I'm correct in saying there was only one English/American tv channel, though luckily it was a news channel ...again rather surprising for a hotel attracting the international tourist). The "double bed" is in fact two single beds pushed close together, but they tend to start to drift apart ....!!
Very big room, cleanliness & location
Divine bed, restful sleep
In our opinion, this hotel is in an absolutely ideal location. We enjoy seeing a city by foot and we were within walking distance from every district, attraction and Christmas market that we wanted to visit. Minutes from Rathaus, Museum Quartiet, Naschmarkt, Hofburg Palace/Old Town, even Schönbrunn Palace was possible. The hotel was also surprisingly quiet and the beds were really comfortable - especially for this affordable price range. The biggest downside was the the room itself did not actually smell particularly fresh or clean. It wasn't bad enough to complain, but it definitely didn't have a feeling of being spotless. They also charge a ridiculous 17€ per person for breakfast . I'm fine with paying for good food, but when you're in a city like Vienna, you can get incredible breakfasts at local cafes for less than half that price. We almost wondered if it was intentionally high to discourage people from eating there!
The hotel room was quite spacious and included a couch. The room was very nicely decorated with antique furniture and hardwood herringbone floors. The bed was comfortable and the room dark and quiet. Great location, within walking distance or subway ride to a lot of sites. None
Very convenient location for the main sites and underground. Breakfast very well organised and good choice on the buffet. Nice quiet room (511) on 5th floor with small balcony. No.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice and clean hotel with a superb breakfast. +++
Very friendly staff, not intrusive but always available when needed. No.
Flexibility of staff when the non-smoking room we requested wasn't allocated. This was quickly rectified even thought the hotel was quite full.
Conveniently located adjacent the underground and within walking distance of the city's attractions There was no airconditioning!!
The hotel itself was very nice looking This hotel was not worth the money...at all. It is supposed to be a fancy hotel but they dont even provide what most cheap motels do, things like little bars of soaps, showering caps... nothing! I wouldnt stay there again.
Loved the chocolate in the room, very clean. Room was very warm.
the room is very large and comfortable for 4 persons. the parking space is just a litte bit far from the hotel
Wonderful location and a very pleasant atmosphere.
competence of desk staff; convenience of locality no
room is wide. one bedroom and one dinig room. staff were kind. good location. we can use tram no.2 everyday. My room has a cofee maker but my friend's room has nothig to make hot drink.
Neat room, with comfortable facilities Some of the reception staff should be a bit welcoming and engaging since they are in customer care. Should not be as serious as the business executives
1. Proximity to Public Transport 2. Proximity to Downtown 3. Quiet location Free WiFi would be a real bonus - €8 per hour seems a little steep.
Clean, safe, location is very convenient for sightseeing. Wi-fi in rooms is payed on 24hours basis. I'd like wifi Internet acess for shorter periods and less price.
Everything is on a high level. Very close to the city center. Not free internet and not varied food
Walking distance of the best part of Vienna. Good breakfast with many choices. Due to the location, they do not have their own parking, but they provided good information about the public parking outside of the hotel. Nothing.
very friendly and helpful staff
Very nice staff - Good breakfast
The location was very good; I liked the neighborhood, which allowed me to walk to everything very easily.
It is an excellent place, the staff is courteous, the fact that it is equipped with a stove and dishwasher makes it very attractive. The bed was very uncomfortable. We let the staff know.
nice located near Rathaus and 8 mins from Metro station_ many advantages inside the appartment, but there aren't many hotel assistants_ after 20:00 pm you can't find any hotel staff there (which is fairly reasonable since it's about apartments and not about a classic hotel) apart that highly recommended... (before getting there, check out if you can arrange with the hotel a pick up from the airport)
The hotel stay was fairly unremarkable in respect of wows! Friendly staff. Soiled/stained matress on fold down bed/furniture, faulty kitchen equipment. No daily cleaning despite being advertised although the cleaner could be heard in the corridors each morning.
friendly staff, nice room small room for breakfast, when it is full, you should wait even 30 min.,not full range of SAT-channels.
Great staff. Home-like atmosphere, very quiet and very well located, walking distance to metro and walking distance to major landmarks, free breakfast and free internet access Linen and towels not changed for the entire duration of the stay (5 days)
Great to stay in an appartment rather than just a room. Appartments were well equipped and well set out. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful No
- the location - design - friendly concierge - no breakfast available (only self service. croissants, rolls butter and jam and a machine coffee... that's it) - room was overheated on my arrival - elevator is too small - missing signs to indicate the way to the rooms
The location and apartment were excellent. The hotel staff, particularly the girl on reception on my departure day, were friendly, efficient and very helpful. Unsurprisingly...breakfast!
Nice rooms, position (just few minutes from Parlament, King palace, Museums) Rooms that has internal view are lillte dark, breakfast could be improved
The apartments are just great, though they dont have 24hrs reception which you dont really realize since you dont need anything, it has a close market and a close metro station, Really goos for the value...
Excellent reception service, excellent breakfast, good location for us - maybe a little distant from the centre for some. Very clean in all areas. Shower cubicle was tiny and bedroom was small.
I had a balcon with park view, super
Good breakfast, nice staff. Ideal location if you want to visit the Christmas Market near Rathaus. TV set and shower could have been better, but it was OK.
kind staff, clean room small room, not so good breakfest, price is too high, no parking
It is the service attitude that attracts most of us. We cannot recall any dislike during the stay in the hotel.
Although quite central, the hotel was very quiet and peaceful. Buffet Breakfast was quite good My single room was small but adequate
Position in Vienna, breakfast, helpful staff Builders touch noisy
Great Hotel, Breakfast & Location walking distance to the center.Very helpful staff,we parked outside Hotel as was w/end (free).Hotel provide parking tickets for other days or you can park in garage for E15 per day! Wi Fi was excellent. We had a balcony which was great. Not a thing!
The men in the reception were very friendly and helpful.
Free internet. Reasonable location. Large room. Bed not that comfortable - foam mattress. Very thin pillow and only one. Shower attachment did not stay in place. Had to hold it to shower.
There is no sound insulation, so it's hard to sleep. Train is passing in front of the hotel, so you can feel trembles on the second floor.
The staff at the front desk were always helpful and pleasant. We booked and paid for a courtyard facing room because we had read the reviews. When we arrived, they only had street facing rooms. Very noisy with the trams directly below. The gentleman at the desk tried to up grade us to a larger room, but it was also on the street. They lowered our rate and gave us free parking, but we would have preferred a good night sleep. This might be a 4 star hotel in Vienna, but not in any of the other cities we've stayed in. It was a bit dated and starkly furnished. Bathroom could have used a little more cleaning.
the person serving breakfast was covering the front desk. she was the best thing that happened for this hotel. she was very sweet and very helpful. safe on a removable shelf mot bolted anywhere. need more lights in the room no hair conditioner in the shiwer not even one usb port, need to invest in the 21 century. no front desk service, called after midnight to get a wake call, no one picked up. my friend did not have a pillow and a quilt on his bed. outside door does not lock. anyone can walk in on you no way this place is 4 stars. i have to say that the front desk girl in the morning was extremely nice and helpful.
easy access to the city center
When we arrived, there wasn't free room. Staff had offered an appartment for us to 1 night for the same prise as small room. I was hoping for better location in Vienna. We arrived at 8 a.m. There wasn't early check-in, althought it would be possible.
The staff were very helpful. Always available and eager to help. Needs painting.
the hotel was near citycenter and there was a garage to our car the noise from the street was a littlebit to much when the window was open
Excellent location. Very comfortable.
Excellent location and nice staff, good breakfast
Price , breafast, really nice and helpful staff. No air condition
Great hotel, very good rooms and breakfast. On top they provide bikes for free. Staff is very nice No wellness center.
Excellent staff and location in Vienna. Beautiful old building and decor. Son loved the old-fashioned elevator. Some "wear and tear" in the hallways but nothing that wouldn't keep me from staying there again.
I liked the closeness to the centre of the city and all the great sights and attractions that Vienna is famous for. I stayed only for a day and yet I had time to see a lot due to proximity to everything and the ease from the airport. I will stay there again next time.
+ The room was clean and quiet + The room was very romantic, in other words "Victorian" + The hotel staff were very friendly + The location was excellent regarding to the centre sights - The locks etc. could be more modern, but those also conform to the classical style. So the rooms may not be suitable to the person, who likes modern residences. - The location was slightly burdensome to find using combination of a s-bahn and a tram from Vienna international airport, but it could be originated in the rush we had. - The breakfast wasn't diverse, but it was sufficient.
Great balcony view. Staff extremely helpful, not only provide us with tram tickets, but let us know the most cost efficient way to get to the airport. Very easy to reach using public transportation. Breakfast staff very attentive. Fan was provided in room to help with cooling.
very central location, less than 10mn by foot from the Rathaus. For the price, very good breakfast (lot of choice) some rooms are better furnished (renovated) than others.
helpful and friendly concierge. Breakfast is good. location is also great. shower not too practical
The location, wonderful staff, delicious breakfast. There is nothing that we did not like - it was the perfect place to stay and we will definitely stay there again in the future.
The hotel staff are very excellent in providing their service to new customers. I was totally new to vienna and the hotel staff at reception were very kind enough to guide me to all places whenever i asked them. I was almost disturbing them by having so many enquiries. But the staff were very humble and kind enough to guide me. I stongly recommand this hotel for a new stranger who visists vienna for the first time. We may fell like we are in our home. 100% safe for family stay and excellent guidance and reception. Thanks a lot to Pension Baronesse and bookings.com. The hotel is well connected by transport and it is centrally located. K.Venkatramanan, Tamilnadu state, India
Staff were very friendly & helpful Breakfast was disappointing & the room was quite hot. It was difficult to leave the windows open for cool air at night due to noise from the street.
location, friendliness of staff size of room with two single beds
friendly staff, breakfast items,
The breakfast was very tasty and had a big choise of cheeses, cold cuts, breads... The "old feeling and smell" of the room and the elevator was the elemental part of our stay.:-)
Close to the city Small room needs some renovation
Location was excellent, wevy close to the city center by walking, not more then 10 minutes to the Parlament building.
the elevator and the breakfast.
Location was excellent for the Vienna Christmas Markets
Location We booked a double room knowing it could be one double bed or twins. So, we asked for double bed. Unfortunatly we found just two separeted beds in the room, and there was no way to change rooms. 1-we think the hotel should have confirmed that bed option. 2- we tried to join the beds but the floor was too dirty bellow it!
Great location, 10 minutes walk from city centre. Friendly & helpful employees. Breakfast was OK, but nothing special. Very small rooms!! Could be cleaner. Rather poor Quality/Price ratio. With the same amount (100€), I have stayed in much better hotels in Berlin/Milan/Budapest. But have to admit, that the other hotels close the centre were even more expensive!!!!
The hotel was nice, the staff all right and the location excellent. We will probably stay at the same hotel next time Iwe are visiting Vienna, which is a great city by the way!
Private room - big with internet in room It felt like a dometry for students with a lot of book-shelfs
Very comfortable beds, good size of a room, two personal wardrobes (one for each person) + one common/ They didn't serve frankfurters for each breakfast unfortunately.
The hotel staff is very nice, the location of hotel is excelent, the breakfast was fair and the price of hotel is very low for Vienna. The rooms are poorly furnished, cleanliness of the room is poor.
location - 30 min by walk to city center , trams and bus stop 5 min walk from hotel , metro 10-15 min walk .quiet area .The room was very big with a lot of closet space,2 tables .The breakfast is cold buffet but with a lot of choices . the room looked more like a study room with bed , the design choice is terrible . the shower was the worse I ever saw -very tiny, you really have to maneuver in order to take a shower . it wasn't very clean the tiles were part broken and there were spider webs on the ceiling . also due to the smallness and the lack of ventilation the smell of mold was horrible . I wouldn't reccomend this hotel to anyone .
A very good and clean hotel. Good location, about 25 minutes walk from Rathaus. Nice staff and good breakfast. The room I had was quiet and the bed was comfortable. Clean shower room/ toilet as well. I can really suggest the hotel to anyone who wants to have good value for their money! Nope!
In my opinion, Korotan is more like a hostel or a student house. It should not call itself a hotel as this is misleading.
Room was big but bathroom was small, 20 minute to old town by walking. Metro was near the hotel. Breakfast was good.
Staff is very kind. Although, the hotel is not in a very central place, it is well communicated. I liked everything
Close to the city center with tram no2 (Albertgasse S-bahn station at 200m from hotel. Good breakfast. The room looks like a dormitory for students. The furniture is also for adequate for students. Lack of cleanliness especially in bathroom but also in the room (dirty walls and floor) and poor quality of bathroom amenities.
The hotel is a flat in a grand building, with high ceilings and well decorated. Breakfast very good: fresh pastries, good choice, eggs on request. The staff are very helpful, but are only there at breakfast time. Easy walking to centre of town. It's unmanned most of the time, except at breakfast, and keys are left for you in an envelope. You pay the manager in an office downstairs. That said, they are helpful in holding luggage for you.
Excellent location in the centre of Vienna, but very calm in the same time. Friendly personnel. Very clean room. Good breakfast.
Very good value for money. Excellent location. Friendly staff
Nice, clean, peaceful, good position.
location, nice building, pleasant
Location and price were terrific Shabby furnishings
Very friendly staff. Good breakfast. Close to the city and metro system. Very quite. I was able to park on the street with a permit I got from the hotel. I needed to give a 30 euro deposit which was returned. It is on the 3rd floor of an old office building. The entrace is a bit Intimidating because it is a bit ragged. Once you get to the hotel it is ok. As with most small hotels, the rooms are small but efficient.
very familial, very quiet street, nice people. 15 min walking from the Hofburg and Parliament
The staff of Andreas Pension is very friendly and everything is clean and nice.
The staff was friendly, and internet was free if using only 10min, which is more that enough to quickly check and send a few emails. The rooms were very cleaned and were made everyday. The location is very close to U-Bahn station and the central area (15min walk to St. Stephen's Cathedral), with plenty of restaurants and cafes around, as well as a supermarket (Billa) and post office, very convenient. The breakfast should include some fresh fruits and vegetables (such as a salad).
Central place in town no
The manager was very helpful
Kindness of owners and staff Reception closed after 21.00; as rooms are accessible from another oentrance but reception room remains inaccessible from 21.00 on, this might cause trouble (e.g.: picking up luggage left there before dinner)
The location was good, because it is located behind of "Rathhaus", it is convenient for sightseeing. There is WiFi in that hotel, but it is very week. It was relatively difficult to receive a mail.
Cheap The light was not bright enough, and it was really hot at night which made it uncomfortable to sleep.
It is very close to the center, quiet, and the staff is super-friendly and helpful.
The room was clean Female receptionists were not helpful at all when we enquired about tours available. They were rude and they did not care less about what we wanted. They were very impatient and one of them even rolled her eyes when we enquired more.
Simple and unfussy. Discount price was a good rate as full price would have left be feeling a little short changed. Location wasn't bad either. Faint smell of drains from the shower room, but that applied to the whole street.
Great (all)! ****
Friendly and helpful staff Room was a bit small
staff very helpful and spoke excellent english good location and quiet public transport very close good value for money no air con - I did not need it at the end of March, but might be a problem in the summer brekfast selection - the same every day and rather limited no parking spaces
The gay people The room
Peter and his other staff were amazingly friendly and very very helpful. The Location was brilliant, so central to walk around the main attractions of Vienna, also with the Metro so close by. They even have bicycles for rent which made for a great day out also. The rooms was a bit too small for our 2 large suitcases. The Mattresses were a bit thin if you weight 85+ kg like me. The shared toilet was not ideal in the middle of the night, but also it was never occupied when we needed it. You have your own in-room shower though, which was great.
It was in an excellent location and was good value for the money spent. The room and bathroom were very nice and clean Nothing
We have stayed at this Pension many times and find it good value for Vienna, and convenient for the city, the centre is only 10 mins walk away, and an interesting walk at that.
Location Overpriced, no toilet in room, common toilet smelled, breakfast menu did not vary in 11 days, no lobby.
The room was clean and the service was pleasant.
Good location for the museum quarter and theatres.
The staff was very helpful with making arrangements for my tour. The location is a short walk from a subway station. I had a clean, comfortable room. Breakfast was simple but quite adequate. I'd stay there again if I found myself in Vienna.
Excellent quality-price ratio. We stayed in a room with toilet in the room (have also cheaper rooms with shared toilet). Very quiet street.Very close to the Ring, walking distance to most sightseeing spots except Schönbrunn and Belvedere (and tower). Breakfast somehow limited but adequate. Owner prefers to be paid cash. Free WiFi available in the rooms but had problems to connect my laptop to their internet distributor except on the last day of my stay, probably linked to their internet distributor not to my laptop. My Iphone was however connecting ok. No hairdryer in the room we rented, a complaint from my wife.
Attentive and friendly staff, nice breakfast, attractive price for B&B almost at top center of the city. We stayed for 1 night and left glad with everything. And by the way there's nothing unwanted if you know what I mean.
i chose pension wild because of a great first experience, and the second time was just as enjoyable. management and staff are great, as well as the location. the room was a bit warm, but of course that is not their fault. just be prepared if you visit in the summer, although they did provide a fan, which was quite considerate.
Staff were very friendly & helpful. Rooms were modern and clean. The location is quite central and close to the town centre. Yes, there was too much noise in our first room (21). Unable to sleep until 04:00 when the bar/club across the room closed. Would not stay in this room again. However the staff switched us to another room (11) which was very quiet.
Clean, modern design, updated fixtures and amenities, helpful staff A little noisy at night, more variety in breakfast selections needed
City rooms was a great City Hotel. Nice , safe location near the center of Vienna. Clean, spacious and tasteful rooms and decent breakfast. Not really. I would suggest it to anyone who would like to spend 2-3 days as a city break in Vienna. Only disadvantage is that you cannot find someone at the reception after 19:00 or early in the morning in case you need something.
Staff were very helpful. Bed was very comfortable. The desk was very cramped.
Nice and clean rooms. Good location, near the centre. Friendly staff. It was a bit noisy. We got our breakfast half an hour too late.
close to city centre, tram few steps from hotel, subway 10 min walk, good breakfast, nice staff small bathroom - but that´s not important :-)
Very clean hotel and rooms, very good place in the city - you can walk to downtown very easily and it is even closer to the Underground. The hotel staff is very friendly, we were traveling with a 7months old baby and they put us to bigger room. We had to ask for maps of the city and other materials second day afternoon. Would be nice if we would get them at the beginning of our stay...
Spacious Room, silence during the night; a great breakfast; nice staff; a good hotel. Too much light in the room during the night; the building entrance is very old and is not in accordance with the hotel quality, the hotel is very nice.
the location was fantastic to walk to the city centre
Staff were friendly and helpful and the room was nice and clean and had been modernised quite well. Room right above a busy, noisy tram line and noisy all night. Breakfast very limited and not up to the standard of other 3 star hotels we stayed in thoughout Europe. 2nd floor hotel and left not working.
The room was very clean and comfortable, good heating in a cold winter. It's very good for the money, for those who doesn't care for sharing bathroom and wc. The staff was giving good attention. Excellent location for those willing to explore the city. There was not enough signs showing how to find the shower (which is only at the 4th floor, while my room was on 3rd. I needed to ask the receptionist who gave me good information, but some signs would solve the problem... also it wasn't easy to find to light in the corridor that leads to the shower.
It is in the heart of Vienna Almost I liked everything> just may be that the breakfast doesn't exist.
Very nice and helpful front desk. Very quiet. Plenty of space in my room. Very easy to get to the center of Vienna. Only one shower and quite a distance away!
Location, comfort, friendly and helpful Not at all what I had expected it to be and for a single woman travelling I didnt feel that safe. I was meant to have a toilet and tv in my room which I didnt, and the tv costed extra money.
Close to transport and not too far from city centre. Staff friendly and helpful. Large, comfortable room. Good heating. Shower was on different floor to my room and rather a trek to get to. Room was a little noisy. You need earplugs to sleep well.
The room was big and felt safe. The entrance to the room was through a closet, which seemed sort of strange.
Very good location. Poor breakfast and bad coffee. A little bit noisy because of tram.
Nothing Bathroom, the smell of the room, furniture
The lady in reception was very helpfull and the room was large and the windows opened to inner garden so it was peaceful. the lighting in the room was poor.
big room dirty room & bathroom
quite good location. toilet smelled. Street was noisy during the night and you could here quite a lot.
It was conveniently situated near public transport routes and a busy street with shops etc. 24 hour access with keys, Large room with good facilities (TV, shower, plenty of chairs, table, electric points etc.) Very cost effective for the area. .
So, it happened to be quite a reasonable hotel if you want to visit Vienna for a couple of days and want some cosy and cheap place to stay in. Everything was just fine. But there were some drawbacks I think. First of all the WC sink. When you flush, there are some mysterious sounds somewhere under the floor and drops of some liquid flying out from a shower sink. That seems really weird. The second thing I did not like was the smell coming from a hole in the flushing system.
- really clean, comfy - city center location - good breakfast - free early check-in possibility
