Breakfast is plentiful and a very tasty choice of cereals, fruit and scrumptious pastries. Parking is easy and outside facilities comfortable with stunning views.
Cons: The fact that we had only booked for one night! We will be back and we will brush up on our French as the owners English put us to shame!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a truly beautiful stay. Alessia, Walter and Guido (their dog) welcomed us in the most open way. The room was spacious, clean and quiet, the surroundings were beautiful and the pool was a genuine treat. The lovely breakfast was outside in a lovely open patio and Alessia was a perfect host. We will never forget the absolutely lovely cakes she baked for us and her other guests. We couldn't wish for a better stay to discover the surroundings like the lovely mediëval city of Volterra, just six kilometers up the mountain. Also Siena and San Gimignano were lovely. And a tip (received from Alessia): drive to Pontedera (some thirty kilometers) and take the train to Firenze and/or Pisa. Saves you stress and expensive parking tickets. In short, we couldn't be more positive about this stay.
Cons: Not a thing in the world.

Pros: It's a great and cozy place to take a rest from crowds. Friendly hosts, green territory, cats and dogs, beautiful sunsets and tasty food.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The dinner they offer is amazing and the owners are super friendly!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: AP is extremely clean. It is a wonderful experience with a family in Tuscany. A family that can cook extremely well. They are all so kind. We enjoyed this trip so much because of the family and their Tuscany traditional cooking. It would not have been the same without them. My location score was just a little down because of the road to get to them but that is an easy fix. It is a quiet beautiful place. A farm where you can enjoy the fresh olive oil in season and truffles in season. Loved it; loved the family; loved the food; loved the service; loved the proximity to the hill towns. The deserts are to die for.
Cons: Calories. I hope I walked them off in Volterra!! Road to: Gee there are a few ok, many pot holes. You know ... you are in the country, on a farm. Dodge them ! It’s not like they will hurt your car.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We visited Agriturismo Pretenzano in the end of our Tuscany trip and we were not disappointed! Since it was the low season already, we were the only guests there, but hosts took the best care of me and my Mom. Wonderful views, lazy evenings with a glass of wine outside, marvellous cooking by the owners' family - what else could you wish for? We loved absolutely everything, it was like visiting Italian relatives - everybody is happy to see you, gives you food and comfort as well as enough privacy so that you can "dolce far niente" :)
Cons: We should have stayed more!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The owner very kind, very homey
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and nice place. It was very hot and there is no Air Condition. The pool has exclusive use to one bungalow so if that is occupied then like in our case, we could not use it.. The property is a beautiful family farm and newly renovated, but a distance from anything.. you need a car..
Cons: Pool usage.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast and dinners were excellent. Almost too much to eat. The room was clean and cheerful as well as the entire building smelled great. The views were great and the wood stove in the dining room was perfect. The staff was excellent!!! Friendly, attended to our every need, welcoming and had great suggestions for where to go and ehat to see. It was a great feeling being it in the country. Very peaceful. I would stay there again for a farm experience.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was very clean and well appointed. We ate at the agriturismo and dinner was delicious.
Cons: There is no air conditioning but the owner said they would be adding ac next year.

Pros: We spent 8 days in Villa with our 2years old son and 8years old daughter and had an extremely beautiful holiday there. The Villa is in the heart of Tuscany,Volterra and San Gimignano in the near,Florence, Siena and the seaside within 1hour by car, so it is a perfect basis to discover the tuscan "must-see" places. The Villa and its surroundings(the garden, the perfect pool, the restaurant nearby, the breathtaking view) secured that I feel the same here that I imagined as 'senso della vita toscana" before. Thank you for our beautiful/perfect host,Federica ,who helped us from the first minute in every questions and problems We had a puncture during our stay, without her fast action maybe we would still be there on the road

Pros: My wife, my daughter (22 months old baby) and I spent a week in Villa Sensano and we were able to feel at home there. Complete kitchen, comfortable apartment and a lovely location with a beautiful view of the Tuscan landscape. In addition, Frederica, Lavinia and their staff were always friendly and welcoming, ensuring an unforgettable stay in Tuscany.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our family of 5 recently stayed for a week at Relais Villa Sensano. Starting with our reception by our wonderful hosts, Lavinia and Federica, everything was perfect from start to finish. The villa is situated in the beautiful Tuscan countryside about midway between Volterra and San Gimignano in a perfect location for touring the area. We were able to use the villa as a base for visiting the above towns as well as Pisa, Lucca, Siena and Colle Val d'Elsa. The latter is a hidden gem and worth visiting. We stayed in the Laurence 3 bedroom apartment. The apartment was spacious, clean and came with 2 full bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen. There is no air conditioning but it was not needed even in plus 30 degree C heat. The grounds are beautifully maintained with numerous olive and fruit trees. The pool was a welcome respite after a long day of touring. Our hosts were very helpful in recommending restaurants, winery tours and cooking classes and were able to book any reservations on request. They treated us as family rather than customers making the experience even better.
Cons: Nothing.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Needed to add an extra night due to an event reschedule and they were very accommodating.

Pros: The staff was unbelievable, every single member of the staff was so helpful and kind, I've never met such amazing front desk staff, especially Matteo

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was super friendly, we felt very welcome. Beds were very comfortable and the room was spacious and very, very clean. Breakfast buffet was nice with homemade pie and jams. If we go back to Volterra in the future, we know where to stay! This was very close to the perfect hotel experience.

Pros: The property was outstanding, we wished we had booked to stay for longer! Massimo is the ultimate host and went out of his way to transport us back from the wedding venue near by that we had visited to attend at 3 am. We will most definitely be visiting again in the near future.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect, great place and nice location
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Rooms and pool are fantastic. Rooms are well appointed and air conditioned. Good size and very comfy. Pool and view spectacular and so quiet there. Off the beaten track a little so have to drive anywhere but was there for a wedding so fine!! They were very good at letting us have drinks and food by the pool and giving us bags to clean up.
Cons: No welcome on arrival, just handed us keys. Breakfast is only served between 8.30-9.00 which for us is too early! Did not appreciate being told off for not turning up on Sunday for breakfast (wedding finished at 2am!) suggest you tell hosts upfront as we were not able to and assumed that it was our holiday so could skip as already paid for!! Note that you can’t pay by card for tax or any additional costs so make sure you have cash. Hosts not helpful about this either.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, excellent breakfasts all freshly prepared, easy to get to Volterra and other areas. Felt like we were staying with friends and made a few while we were there. Can't say enough about this B+B. Hope to come back x
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This is a super clean and comfortable modern b&b located below Volterra. The breakfast was excellent and is great value for money. Amazing manicured gardens made it a beautiful spot, but with only one night we couldn't really take advantage of it.
Cons: We had some communication issues which resulted in us waiting at their gate for a couple of hours for the hosts to return. To get an evening meal it is necessary to drive about 15 minutes into the town of Volterra, given that it was one of the best meals we had in Italy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Magnificent location, magnificent view, wonderful host, the perfect place to feel Tuscany. All the confort in it.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel Volterra was right in the heart of everything, conveniently located within walking distance to shops and restaurants and all the attractions the town has to offer. There's a parking garage very close by. We picked a small double room, and as the name says it was pretty small. But if you are using only to sleep there's no problem with that. The bedroom and bathroom were pretty clean. Breakfast buffet was very good and you could make your own fresh squeezed orange juice. Big variety of fruits and breads and also cheese and cold meats and veggies. The staff was friendly and helpful. We spent 2 nights in Volterra and also drove to San Gimignano, it is just a 40 min drive. If you have time don't miss the walking tour, in English only, and leaves everyday by the parking garage 1, closest to the hotel.
Cons: Liked everything

Cons: Air conditioning or fan was not provided.Property lovely but impersonel and a bit expensive
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very hospitable, comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable stay. Thank you Giulia
Cons: Air conditioning
7.5 Good
Pros: Giulia has a beautiful place, well maintained and superclean both inside and outside! She offers apartments for rent in the hills surrounding Volterra. The inside of the apartment is well furnished and cool thanks to the thick walls. If you love to check out the beautiful Tuscan landscapes during the day or spend the day at the perfectly maintained swimming pool, you will love this place.
Cons: We left Casale Giulia 2 days earlier because the apartment we got assigned, “Tiglio”, simply did not work for us. The small level terrace was directly exposed to the hot sunlight. Being so open, there was less privacy than expected. This is our personal experience and preference, and we shared this with Giulia before leaving. She graciously offered us to stay in another apartment however we had already booked alternative accommodation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very kind, apartment clean and spacious, amazing view of the valley, closed to Volterra and San Giminiano.

Cons: All was great
10.0 Excellent
Pros: There was not anything to dislike
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice room, staff and good breakfast!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: An attractive family-run hotel near Volterra, in the buildings of an historic mill. Our room wasn't large, but it was quite comfortable, with a modern bathroom. Our friends had a larger room with a cast-iron bed. There is an attractive cast-iron staircase leading to the upper floors.A good breakfast was served. The hotel includes a good restaurant, open only for dinner.
Cons: There is no elevator, but all the rooms (with the exception of a suite) are on two floors. I don't really consider this a disadvantage for myself, but it wouldn't be very accessible for people who have difficulty walking up steps. I'm not sure if there are rooms on the ground floor.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice italian breakfast, aircon good and silent
Cons: Not much to keep the kids busy
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice location and good hospitality. Restaurant is very good.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: What did I like...…….Italy!!! Regarding the hotel the owner was extremely welcoming, even driving me to show me the café to get breakfast at and the company offices I was visiting in the morning. Once I'd figured out there was AC, on the second night, the room was very comfortable The wee café beside Briciole in Tavola and La Vecchia Pizzeria
Cons: Restaurant was closed on the Tuesday, so had to get breakfast and dinner elsewhere. I was on a working trip so was primarily looking for convenience rather than adventure. Having said that the two places the owner recommended were superb!!!!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: we felt so welcomed by Riccardo and his staff. what a pleasure! Room was clean, comfortable and spacious. dinner and breakfast full of homemade, seasonal dishes... delicious! Thank you, we'll be back!

Pros: Clean and comfortable house in the countryside. Calm and silence.
Cons: To get to the city you need a car.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Calm and clean - no noise, other, than the birds in the morning :)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: - very lovely and helpful host - amazing house and charming rooms - peaceful area
6.3 Good
Pros: See below for breakfast. Location very pleasant. Charming ancient building.
Cons: The only breakfast was a provision of DIY materials. There was no one to help and it all looked very basic so we went to a bar up the road. The staircase has a floppy rope on one side to help those with bad legs (like me), but it needs a proper fixed hand rail. Our room had one small window and was badly lit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The house is beautiful and located in an amazing landscape. The room was big and beautifully decorated. There was a shared living room / kitchen well furnished. Everything was very clean. The owner was very nice. She gave us food recommendation for restaurants in the area. The place is ideally located to visit Volterra, San Gimignano or Sienna. Great price for the quality. We hope to come back !
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This is an 18th century farmhouse that has been recently renovated and has several rooms in a guest quarters area above the family's garage or main house. The family was very nice when I met them briefly and they provided some good information about Volterra, which is a short drive.
Cons: You definitely will need to rent a car to arrive here otherwise it would be prohibitively expensive by taxi/bus combination.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet, not far from town, friendly family atmosphere
Cons: Could have been a bit warmer
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Owners were very kind, friendly, welcoming and happy to help us with anything. Very communicative and orientating. Shared kitchen and lounge area were really good. Cook, make a cup of tea/coffee etc free snacks- really good. Bedrooms were spacious and very nice with rustic beams.
Cons: Bed was a little uncomfortable but we did stay 4 nights so it could have just been the time we spent there. No views of countryside. Road nearby but not very noisy. Interior room doors closed very loudly.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Nice room and bathroom, high purity. Functional shared kitchen. Very nice and communicative homewoman, it was not a problem to leave us at the time of the accommodation - we were waiting before it was agreed.
Cons: The weaker wifi in the room was not a mobile signal.

Pros: It's an idyllic place! Close enough to the Volterra city but far enough to enjoy the beauty of the nature! Everything there: views, the area, the room, the bed, the staff , the food was just fantastic! I can't wait to get back! I really reccommend that place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast (included in our rate) was fabulous. Fresh fruits, yogurts, cereal, meats, cheese, fresh baked good (to die for) best coffee, fresh juices & more. Something for everyone.
Cons: WE LOVED EVERYTHING!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location (views) is superb. Easy to find. The large pool. Very friendly staff. Covered parking. The food is available almost 24/7. Nice local wine and olive oil.
Cons: Air conditioning in some rooms didn't not work as it was supposed. Sorry, but for the money paid and almost 40C outside there is no excuse for that. For sure, the place was overpriced. They took the full advantage of Andrea's concert. The cancellation policy announced at the hotel didn't match the listed on booking.com. We would love to come back but not for the money we have paid.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was located in most stunning surroundings, like paradise - beautiful and quiet, could hear only frogs and birds, beautiful roses and lights around the house, could see pretty sunset. Kids enjoyed the pool. Rooms were comfortable and clean, the staff helpful and friendly, most delicious dinner in the restaurant and breakfast was very good too. Would like to go again and stay longer!

Pros: We liked everything with this agrihotel, the only thing we would wish for is some more vegetarian dishes in the restaurant.
6.7 Good
Pros: Exceptional location, in the middle of the Toscana hills. Very charming house. Toscana typical food was really good.
Cons: Just a bit hard to find (especially during the night) :)
6.0 Good
Pros: The countryside was beautiful, the hotel very rustic and charming and the facilities relaxing and wonderful. we loved the pool
Cons: the staff were hard to track down when we arrived. There is nothing to say 'welcome' or 'entrance' and we had to wander around to find the main doorway and reception which is frustrating after a long drive. When we wanted to check out we waited ages for someone to attend to us, even after ringing the bell. It was really frustrating to have to wait ages for coffee at breakfast as the machine was behind the bar. it would be easy and alot more convenient to have a self service urn at the breakfast buffet.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: very friendly stuff, great view

5.6 Okay
Pros: Fabulous location - views are out of this world. Room very charming and bathroom a good size. Staff are very friendly.
Cons: Dinner service was chaotic! Didn't receive all the dishes, had to chase up dessert, never got the salad. Part of the charm maybe but not everybody would find it so.

Pros: I loved it. Would totally recommend it to everyone. The view is amazing and the staff, Guilia is wonderful. Don't use a GPS to get there, call for directions.

Agriturismo Villa Opera - Volterra - Building
16
8.6 Excellent (144 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Agriturismo Villa Opera in Volterra, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Roman Theatre and Porta all'Arco. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: An unexpected bonus of our trip was that the walled city of Volterra is amazing and is a short drive from the agriturismo. It is also a good base to explore parts of Tuscany, such as Pisa, San Gimignano and Siena, all within an hour's drive. We had a room on the ground floor on the valley side of the farmhouse and although you couldn't really savour it from the room itself, the view when stepping outside was beautiful; particularly the sunsets. It was incredibly peaceful and we really savoured the Tuscan atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful and our daughter really loved the swimming pool.
Cons: Although overall the room was comfortable, the bed was not up to standard. The kitchenette was well resourced in terms of equipment, but lacked any basic cooking supplies such as sugar, oil, salt or pepper. Also, the sink left something to be desired. We had quite a bit of difficulty with the WiFi access in the room but were generally able to access it outside. After flushing, the toilet cistern made an incredibly loud whining sound just as it was nearing full which was problematic at night time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a really really good stay there! the house is good located and the views are awesome!!
10.0 Excellent
Cons: The bed was a bit squeeky and uncomfortable but we got used to it. The boiler had to be reset a few timeas but then it worked ok.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Villa is located in the quiet area outside of the Voltera city. It is however very easy to get there even by bus (it takes around 5-10 min) although it does not work frequently. The bus stop is around 100 m from the property. There is a nice area in front of the villa where you can take a rest and enjoy beautiful view of the hills. The staff is very helpful. We were offered a pick up when it was too late to catch a bus from Volterra. Local wine in the villa worth trying.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location - close to beautiful nature and fabulous Tuscany towns. Really worthy to enjoy truly tuscanian nature. Nice view to the garden with olive trees and vineyard. Peaceful surroundings Nice weather conditions in the mornings and evenings as you are located on the hills. Close distance to the Wolterra where you can find shops, markets, restaurants and hospital as well.
Cons: The apartment was rather dark but good for inside temperature as there is no air conditioning. More could be done for the clean less of the apartment and pool.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room came complete with a kitten that spent both nights with us! Cute little apartment style. We got to help harvest olives on the property. It was conveniently located near town -so close that we had a pizza delivered to us. Our host was so helpful with anything we needed. Would highly recommend this property!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The Agriturismo was situated very beautifully looking over the Tuscany countryside- the apartment was a bit dark but it was clean and the staff was very welcoming
Cons: You get the feeling that things are a bit run down and not carefully maintained- for example the rubber insulation on our fridge door was completely ripped to pieces making it almost impossible to make the fridge cool
6.8 Good
Pros: The place is really in a nice setting in a green area. When warm enough (which was not the case when we were there) you could sit outside, use the barbecue, enjoy the view etc. The rooms are clean and ok, but not overly big.
Cons: The kitchen is equipped only with the basics. The windows are rather small (needed to have the lamp even on a sunny day) and there was not a good view from our rooms (actually only from the barbecue area you have a good view). The personnel gave us the impression of "this is just a job I do" and we did not feel very welcome. The fact that at check-out everything was accurately controlled (clean, empty etc. ) did not improve that impression. Actually we did not underatand what this place has to do with Agritourism, as there was no sigh of a farm, no wine producing visible, no olive activities, no animals etc. - it's just a house in the countryside. You need a car as restaurants are far away.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, clean and big swimming pool, free barbecue spots, quiet remote area with great view
Cons: Rooms a little bit humid

Cons: The low speed hot water shows up.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice breakfast with friendly staff.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was fantastic! Such variety. Room was spacious and clean. Building has a lot of charm and Volterra is a beautiful medieval town. Wish we could have stayed longer!!
Cons: No parking at hotel but underground pay parking not far. However, this is an ancient walled city from long before cars so if we want this wonderful experience, we need to accept this as part of this experience.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfectly situated quaint hotel just a few meters away from the main sites i Volterra. The hotel has a beautiful terrace overlooking the roof tops of the medieval city and surrounded buy a part of the ancient Etruscan wall - this must be pretty unique. Great English speaking staff and very nice rooms, romantically decorated. Big bathrooms for such a small hotel. You can unload your luggage in front of the hotel entrance, but then you should park your car in the covered parking just some 3-400 meters from the albergo. A bit expensive, but worth it.
Cons: The only think that can be improved is the breakfast. Typically Italian, i.e. not so abundant as the German or Austrian ones of course, but there should be more healthy stuff and not so many sweet things like cornettos and cakes. The coffee though was excellent!!!
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Ideal location, great price, a nice breakfast was included, friendly staff who spoke English
Cons: Bed was not very comfortable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Albergo Etruria is right in the heart of Volterra town, and such a nice hotel! The room was cosy and immaculately clean, and in the perfect location within walking distance to restaurants, bars and attractions. The owners are absolutely delightful, and so helpful with any questions from directions to activity recommendations. The buffet breakfast each morning was also excellent. There’s a stunning rooftop bar and cafe as well which was the perfect place to relax. Would absolutely recommend Albergo Etruria!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location in Volterra right in the old town. Staff is very helpful both with touristic and logistical elements (ex: laundromat, parking, bringing luggage upstairs). I really appreciated the very detailed information from the hotel about parking options. Breakfast was great- lots of options and decent coffee. Hard to beat in terms of location in Volterra.
Cons: The bed wasn't the most comfortable. The air conditioner worked well, but our room had two bedrooms and the AC was in the first room with just a twin bed while we slept in the second room with the king. It was okay, but would've been nicer if the AC was in the room with big bed. Overall we had a great time!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Location was really good (in the beautiful medieval cityof Volterra). The staff and owners were extremely helpful when we needed to stay another night to see the Andrea Bocelli concert (after it was postponed due to bad weather). They found us another hotel as they couldn't accommodate us for the extra night and they also booked us a transfer to the airport. On our second night they had a barbecue in the roof bar which was great fun - music, plenty to eat and very cheap.
Cons: It was a bit noisy at night until about Midnight. I think the town was busier than usual because of the concert.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Family run business and they really put themselves out to welcome guests.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Sparking clean
Cons: Nothing

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The villa is placed just outside the Volterra center so location is a big plus. It has a small free parking lot. The hosts were very kind and helpful. They gave us recommendations where to go, what to see, where to find decent restaurants etc. Even left lots of candies for the kids in the room. Bife breakfast was very good with a variety of food. Our accomodation was clean and comfortable.
Cons: Only thing we missed was the baby chair during the breakfast.
7.0 Good
Pros: Its a very nice villa just outside the city walls, spacious rooms, comfortable and nice to have breakfast outside. Just about enough parking.
Cons: Not much but outside the city walls also means it is a steep climb to get to the city and of course it is steep after you are there. So those with joint problems need to think about this.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: location
Cons: no receptionist on arrival or at night, once he got there he was very helpful, so was the lady who prepared breakfast

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel exceeded our expectations. We had a quadruple room. All beds were comfortable and adequate. It was clean and everything worked. The bathroom was well maintained and clean. The air conditioning worked and was adequate. The pool area is simply great. Good space to relax and lounge. Very clean and comfortable. Well maintained. The breakfast was exceptionally good considering that it's not usually so in Italy. Above average: good choice of pastry / eggs / bacon (done proper US style), good coffee. Just great. The hotel has a great boutique feel. The hotel has on-site parking right nearby for 15EUR per day. Worth it. The location was superb - 5 minute walk to the center but far enough away to be quiet and calm.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent. Staff extremely helpful and friendly, lovely relaxed atmosphere, would most definitely return.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very helpful and friendly.
7.5 Good
Pros: Pool area was very nice. Staff were excellent. Breakfast was good. Clean facilities. Plenty of hot water.
Cons: Must book parking in advance. Spaces are small and difficult for larger cars. Bedrooms are small. Bathroom was tiny. We asked to see better rooms and the lack of space was similar. Was told it was an ex nunnery and thus all the rooms were similar in size. OK for a night or two. Our friends had a very poor night with lots of noise from other rooms, the corridors and the street.

3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Only the view from the window can be appreciated. Breakfast was OK. The receptionist understood English.
Cons: Nothing was as I had expected. The standard room was very small and run-down, the bathroom and the bedclothes were not so clean. The souvenirs left in the fridge were not found...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The views at the hotel are from another level! Incredible. Great pool with a nice afternoon sun. Very nice staff/owner.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My favorite hotel in Italy. Meticulously taken care of facilities, beautiful location, amazing pool, and attentive and friendly staff. Located within walking distance of all attractions in the town. Amazing breakfast spread.
Cons: Nothing
6.8 Good
Pros: Nice location outside of the Volterra city wall and easy to park for the evening. Even though there was an early check-in because we had to book last minute they were willing to keep the check-in open late, which was helpful.
Cons: This hotel does not have AC in rooms as stated (or at least ours did not). It was uncomfortably warm and we would not have stayed here in a heat wave if we had known. Rooms are dated, but functional.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Located just minutes from outside the walled city center of Volterra; this hotel provides gorgeous views of the surrounding Tuscany landscape . The hotel itself has great rooms, a nice breakfast/ dining area; and most importantly a very nice family and staff servicing their guests with great care! The building itself is a greatly maintained stone building and its origins goes back into the 1550's - just beautiful!
Cons: The location of the hotel provides great views, however, the walk into downtown Volterra starts with a steep incline but in only minutes you are there in a beautiful old city with centuries old stone buildings.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were fantastic, very helpful, polite and accommodating. Pool is brilliant and very large.
Cons: A little out of town but this isn’t really an issue unless you struggle walking a short distance.
7.0 Good
Pros: Very close to the city, lovely view !
Cons: Hot, hot room and no air conditioning neither a small fridge to keep cold water in the room!
9.5 Excellent
