We were disappointed initially as the hotel's terrace did not look anything like it's picture. The views are very limited. However, we enjoyed our stay and for the price, it was very comfortable and near some lovely areas. Wasselonne is a lovely little town. We had a E23 meal at the hotel which was excellent value.
More a small holiday home than a hotel bedroom. Lots of space, small kitchen, dining table and chairs. No late check-in.
Large room , friendly staff , good location close to Strasbourg and Vosges mountains. Room looks much nicer on pics than in reality ; outside urgently needs a repaint
The apartment arrangement was particularly good for a family with teenagers or younger children. Not really equipped for full meal making but enough for breakfast and snacks all day long. BBQ facilities for the summer and a pretty outside sitting area for the room added to the sense of freedom. Very quiet and peacefull with very kind staff, although you do need some French or German to ease your way. The only thing that could make the place even better would be a lick of paint or varnish. The outside seemed a bit neglected, but this was only cosmetic. Everything was clean and the inside of the rooms and the main areas were fine.
the room had a fridge and microwave with seating area which we were not expecting and we found it very useful for this trip the view from the hotel resaurant varender was beautiful N/A
Arrived late when reception closed but receptionist helped to make it possible for us to access our rooms. Above average breakfast and staff were ready for us early. None to mention
The room was large, clean and comfortable. It was an older property but was in pretty good shape. It was a great place for families.
Very friendly and helpful staff (owner). Good location near the Alsace Wine Route. Delicious dinner accompanied by some good wine. All at a very acceptable price. If you are planning to use the bikes for rent (mentioned on the website) don't expect much. The exterior of the hotel could take some refreshing.
The location is excellent and one could self-cater or dine at the in- house restaurant. Ours was a Studio roome with the advantages of a Gite and a hotel rolled into one. We were there for 12 nights and enjoyed every moment. Sports facilities including swimming near by. Wasselonne village is close by and the people are great. We were a little close to the kitchen and with the weather being warm noise came through the open door of the kitchen. Not a big problem.
The building itself is wonderful but the staff made it a very wonderful stay!
very comfortable, access by public transport - bus no 2 from the Gare Centrale - should be indicated
Very attentive and catered well to babies and families Breakfast was a bit pricey and the only option at the hotel.
beautiful building and surroundings with superb service, food and staff nothing whatsoever...except we did not stay long enough
Luxury accommodations, but affordable. Good staff.
The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The room maintenance was very good with an evening turndown service etc Yes - beware we were seriously over charged in both the restaurant and in the bar. When we asked them to explain the bill it had no relation to the prices listed and they could not explain why it had happened - very mysterious - keep an eye on all costs you sign off.
well appointed rooms, excellent meals the spa facility is marginal at best. Improperly trained staff and poorly ventilated, with limited spa menu. Americans are used to much more in a proper "spa".
Surroundings were beautiful, although it was a shame that the weather was not so good to enable us to enjoy them more. Children's menu availability.
Indoor pool is so beautiful and comfortable! Of course the buiding itself is very nice, but the surrounding garden is also nice. The restaurant was a little bit too busy for timely service.
Very nice accomodation. All the hotel staffs were not really as friendly as the reception.
quite rooms were smelly
The price I paid worth the service I received, clean and comfortable room, good food for breakfast etc. The housekeeper came too early. When I return to my room after breakfast I saw there were all room doors wide open while the housekeeper cleaned up one room! That's shocked me very much.
Good value-for-money. Clean and easy to find in a small, cosy town outside Strasbourg. To go to Strasbourg you'll need a car. Breakfast was simple. Could be more varied in choices.
Easy accessible, quiet, everything was in good shape and working. Missing tv-channel for dutch speaking people (BVN).
location was secure and fairly central, place seemed like it was maintained ok. Hotel was not dirty per se, but def won't be winning any awards. Beds/bathrooms were fine, everything else, a little shady.
Warmhearted welcome. Helpful staff at the reception desk. good Wifi connection in the room.
conveniently located near airport, good staff no phones in the rooms
Quiet hotel. Good breakfast Missing of a restaurant of the hotel - and this thing is not explained at booking
Comfortable and clean hotel, nice room. It's located in a quiet nice small town, not too far from Strasbourg, easy to reach by car. Improve the breakfast.
Nice hotel, good place, nice staff the breakfast could be a little bit richer
If you have been in an oek Hotel in Hungary or Austria, this is exactly the same type. It is clean, but it has the minimum comfort. Still, there is free wireless internet available, which is a plus. Poor breakfast.
Comfortable room. Good set up for family with separate sleeping areas. No restaurant in hotel but linked to a good one 5 minutes walk away. Nice pool and sauna. Pool was unheated.
Hotel is next to a duck pond and very close to a church. No aircon so had window open. Ducks noisy all night, Church bell seemed to strike all the quarter hours and after a very uncomfortable night found ouselves covered in mosquito bites.
We stayed in one of the Disabled adapted rooms and the facilities were first class. The reception staff could not have been more helpful furnishing me with details in relation to booking in and out. I very much intend to stay there again in the future
The outside of the building looked great! The hotel advertized air conditioned rooms, which was important with 35+c weather. The a/c was more of a repaired water cooler which was turned off at 22h. When we opened the windows, we were overwhelmed with the bugs and mosquitos so we had to close the windows. Which made it impossible to sleep in such a heated suana. argh!
The hotel staff were efficient and friendly. They also spoke good English. Parking was definitely a big bonus as parking in Strasbourg is difficult and expensive. The address mentioned in the hotel information was confusing as there are two Rue de Ile in Strasbourg. The gps in my car got confused and we had to phone the staff to ask where exactly the hotel is. They said to use the zip code of the hotel as reference instead. They were quite helpful, actually.
Friendly front desk staff. Room is clean and spacious. Hotel is for families with small children. Children are given free stuff toys upon registration. Hotel is 14 km from Strasbourg or at least 15 minutes drive to the city. Finding the hotel is confusing as there is another street of the same name in Strasbourg. Breakfast is good but with cold coffee and at Euro 13.
very basic and very difficult to locate even though it looks close to the motorway!! very expensive for a basic breakfast
The staff are friendly and very accomodating, and the food is above average. 1)Public transportation shoud be mapped and posted. 2) The rooms are small for two, a person using a wheelchair and another person, no space for another bed! 3)There should be a smooth ramp from parking lot to the front door sidewalk and entrance.
staff were pleasant Wrong room was allocated and it was noisy
The accomodation was clean and airey with all services working and functioning correctly. Na
food, rooms, facilities
free internet, free parking and quite good room poor poor breakfast
The breakfast it was an amazing selection on offer and it was all good!!
Lovely comfortable room. Very good value.
Convenience to airport, hassle free reservation when arriving, excellent continental breakfast, nice view and quiet for sleeping Were not too many shops open in the immediate area, but probably that was due to being late Saturday afternoon.
Possibility to make a cup of coffee/tea in the room. Hairdryer in bathroom. Two restaurants just next to the hotel. Bus stop in front of the hotel. Parking space available. A bit far from the centre, from 9 pm onwards buses do not circulate very often.
Being near Strasbourg. The public transportation made it easy to get into the city center. It was located a bit far from the city center.
I liked the extremely helpful attitude of the staff,
Staff was friendly. We had very silent night. Rooms nicely decorated. Hotel is in very suitable location. We have decided every time to stay here.
It was insanely cheap. The linens and towels were clean. It is right off the highway (near other hotels/motels). We arrived at night and it had a shifty vibe. I can't describe it any other way.
Staff was friendly and accommodating. They made every effort to communicate clearly despite not speaking very much English. My son thought it was cool to sleep in a bunk bed and compared it to our ferry cabin on the ferries we took on the Alaskan Marine Highway. The beds were not very comfortable and the bathroom was super small. Water temps were very sensitive so it was tricky to find a balance so as to not freeze or scald yourself :).
You get what you pay for - a tiny cramped room with bunkbeds and a tiny bathroom in which the shower overflowed. We were by one of the landing doors which slammed all night - we literally got about an hours sleep.
Friendly staff, reasonable prices, nice breakfast Far from the city, some bedlinen missing. On the whole the double bed would also be better equipped with two blankets because more often than families I believe that tourist groups are staying at these hotels.
very small bathroom, not clean, not enough towels
really helpful staff good value breakfast well-lit accessible parking near motorway
pretty dirty and neglected unleaned rooms broken items
Buffet breakfast It needs refurbishment, toilet seat was broken, shower drain blocked and smelly. Also noisy by railway and industrial site.l
Good service: react adequate and quick when something was not as expected. On the travel back ( used the hotel stay for two day travel to and from vacation adress) The room had no fresh smell. But everything was clean and the bedlinnen was fresh
friendly and helpful staff, good location (great base for discovering Alsace), very quiet region, great restaurant... Everything is great!
Central location, parking, restaurant. Poor breakfast choice, food smelling in corridors. Room on street side noisy (bus stop nearby).
Nothing The breakfast was far too expensive. There was no hot water one night. There was no tea or coffee service available, compared to the hotel in Switzerland I will never stay or recommend this particular hotel again.
Very convenient for getting into Strasbourg. Good parking facilities. Easy access to motorway for onward journey. Advertised menu not available only a la carte. No breakfast tea!!
English speaking staff in French hotel
Good hotel in a convenient location, private parking, very friendly staff, good breakfast. No complaints at all.
Nice staff, easy access, the room was clean except a bit of problem in the bathroom.
The hotel was comfortable and suited our needs. Didn't eat there so could not comment on restaurant. About 20 mins outside Strasbourg, but easily accessible via bus and tram. Hotel receptionist very informative and helpful. would recommend it for price and convenience.
large room, good shower, good breakfast hotel restaurant closed for holidays and basically all other reaturants in the village closed too. had to buy bread and cheese from a supermarket in the end.
Hotel staff very well prepared for guest attention. Friendly environment. Convenient shopping Mall in front of the hotel . Unfortunatelly the restaurant does not provide us a menu in English or German ( only French ) , but, one person was prompt assigned to do a rough translation. In my point of view , will be more convenient to have this menu translated to different language. Expensive self service breakfast ( 9 Euro per person ) based on offered variety mainly lack of fruits .
The restaurant is closed 2 days a week (Tuesday+Wednesday). I was killed by the parking's price: 14€ ! The room is very small, the hotel is on a traffic road and you hear it well !
tasteful pleasant design, very friendly staff, helped us to find a restaurant for dinner as they were closed during our visit for dinners (breakfast was very nice), great closed garage internet access did not work; had no time to use wellness center (no opinion), restaurant was closed for dinner on the day of our visit - disappointment because it is probably very good ...! (closed for 2 days: not very convenient to the traveller!)
We enjoyed the "traditional" room which was clean, comfortable and very elegant. The air-conditioning was a plus also. We extremely enjoyed dining at the restaurant for dinner. We have returned several times and have always enjoyed our stay.
.Stayed in new section of hotel very good. breakfast good range The cost of the food in the evening very expensive and very little dinned out 2 nights
Proximity to the venue of the conference I was attending, and the style/deco of the hotel. Though the room was fine overall, there were many little things I didn't like, principally that: (1) The pillows were uncomfortable; (2) The TV didn't work and though I reported it and was told it would be fixed, it wasn't; (3) There was no milk or cream with the kettle so I had to have my tea black; (4) When I showered, water spilled onto the floor due to an inadequate screen; and (5) There was a clear glass window high in the bathroom wall, which undermined the privacy in there (the glass should be frosted).
Good wine and good dinner. Comfortable night sleep. On-time, courteous shuttle to the airport. No
Good locations for travellers, good breakfast and clean rooms, free parking and free wi-fi internet personell too young and it seems with no much experience
Rooms and breakfeast was good.
The room Resteraunt was closed, foof in the bar waiting time up to 2 hrs. Swimmingpool was closed.in room it stated breakfast starts 6 am reszeraunt opened 6:30am (I had to leave early there for missing breakfast)
For me, the location was perfect, but it is really not near the airport (20 minutes by taxi).
Free and good internet speed, restaurant stuff polite, english widely spoken Room floor dirty! Room not ready upon arrival, restaurant menu V. poor
No facilities at all on Sunday, when we arrived. We had to search for a MacDonalds for lunch. Restaurant menu was poor and their idea of vegetarian food was non-existent. I was in the company of three vegetarians and they served "vegetarian" pumpkin soup - with ham in it - and a salmon dish was described as "vegetarian"!
The lovely smile and warn welcome of the only member of the staff I met in the hotel. Breakfast is very poor. Room was very cold. TV had only a few channels poorly working.
It is original in its environment en not very far from Strasburg.
Being hosted in a real hystorical place No hairdrier, no shower gel nor shampoing
The human atmosphere. No feeling of being in an impersonal place.
It was in a quiet park in a very small village perfect to take a little rest. There was no posiibility to eat something in the hotel in the evening.
accessibility to Strasbourg
cheap rooms, small but very clean, dogs welcome, friendly staff and free parking
Location is good. Good stop off point close to highways. Cheap motel style rather than a hotel. Poor cleanliness overall (although to be fair - the bed linen was fresh and clean). Fairly thick layer of dust in places created a poor overall impression.
Quiet and clean, two sets of two towels [2 per person] would have been nice .E.g one to wrap around the body another to wrap around the head More than one portion of tea/coffee/milk would have been good
Good price-quality ratio, friendly personnel, quiet, closeby to Straatsburg, easy to reach with Elsau P+R
hotel staff, close to town centre
pleasant reception and service , well dined , etc.. No
Easy reach of the autostrada
Location was great, just off the motorway. Great facilities. Good to have an express breakfast. Very good sized room.
Nice atmosphere Poor service
Easy to get to from the autoroute, good choice of menu, helpful and friendly staff.
Time of room service...I did not understand how they come to know that I am not available in room now...
Close to tram, comfortable room, good breakfast The bedroom could do with a full length mirror - there is no mirror there at all. Breakfast is served till 09.30. However, the staff clear the buffet at 09.35 which does not give people who arrive at 9.25 much time to get breakfast!
Comfortable, clean rooms, good value for money, helpfull staff. Tram station in the front - fast connection to the center. Tv channels not working properly. Quite far away from the European Parliament - 45 min by tram
It is rather clean, it has free internet access, it is quiet, close to the tram station, has small kitchen in every room and has a shopping center close by. It is far from the European Parliament and the city center, the girls at the reception are not always nice and could smile a bit more often. The internet signal is poor and so is the TV signal. The cleaning ladies are sometimes quite noisy at too early hours. Noisy room neighbours may be a problem, as there is not too much sound proofing.
new, modest and clean too tiny bathroom
very close to the tram station very poor staff unable to give any basic information on the city. Breakfast very basic and absolutly not fair for money.
Location - it seems a bit far from the centre, however, the tram connection works perfectly and is very convenient. Price-performance ratio should be quite high for such a place in Strasbourg.
nice, cheap. big room, near to station no
I had a studio and the room was quite big, it also had a kitchinette equipped with everything you might need during a short stay. The staff even if they didn't seem very nice were actually taking care of my needs and solving my problems. I didn't like the fact that the curtains were incredibly dirty, literally black and so was the bed cover: all spotted and having an irrecognisable colour. The blanket also had all sorts of spots and that didn't make me feel comfortable when going to bed. The cleaning staff of the hotel start working at about 7:30 a.m and any chance of getting some sleep after that hour was an unsucessful attempt. That is pretty annoying and I believe the hotel could easily change the situation, if they so wished.
A very basic hotel with small kitchen in room. Tram stop into city is right outside. Noise might be a problem if many rooms are occupied. Staff go off at 9.30pm. A toaster in the breakfast room would be good.
