Nothing. It was very stark. Lots of sketchy looking people lurking around. We did not stay the night, we booked a room at the days inn. Defiantly not a place to take a family.
Close to portland for the price. Staff was fantastic. Pretty minimalistic, but for the price you know that. Everything was clean. No bed Cots. Only 2 pillows for a queen/kind bed.
Not much! Bathroom was dirty, no coffee maker, hair dryer, lotion, shampoo or soap dish!
Value. Only hotel near Portland that an average person can afford. The room decor was non existent. Newish make over was modern but the walls lacked any color or design. Paintings/pictures not needed but something to break up the monotony.
Nothing The staff was rude and very unhelpful. They kicked us out in the cold at 2am because we had one extra person show up. Fuck that place.
The location for what out plans were was good. House keeping never made the beds or cleaned the floors.
Price was lowest in area. Wife hated two things: bathroom light couldn't be turned on without fan noise (bad), and quality of room light was harsh, like being in a bus station waiting room. I was frustrated with wi-fi: first, having to pay, and, second, only being able to use one device per paid-for code. Even then, it wasn't consistent, would drop out. We moved to another hotel for our second night before catching our plane.
Location was ok The place was dirty and cheap! The ground felt like it had never been touched with a broom. They don't provide shampoo or anything. The elevator was the only way around the hotel and it felt as if it was going to break down.
Motel 6 has the bare minimum, and sometimes not even that. I forgot my shampoo and saw that they did not have any in the tub. When I called the front desk, the staff politely told me that they do not carry shampoo even for purchase. They suggested the vending machine which did not have shampoo either. There really wasn't a convenient 24 hour store nearby either. That, to me, should be part of the basics of a motel. I didn't mind the cigarette burns on my comforter, but I think shampoo for purchase should be available if not complementary. Just sayin'
The front desk staff were friendly and very willing to help in any way they could. The top sheets/blanket was not washed and it was wrinkled. The bed skirt had stains on it. The door of the first room that we got before we switched had blood on it. There were pubic hairs still left in the bathtub. The women who cleaned the rooms would yell at each other in the halls for the majority of the day.
It was a reasonable value for the money. A little dated.
Cost, pool although we didn't use it Our room was not cleaned over 2+ days. Left very late one day and had "do not disturb" up in am so maybe they don't clean later on. But the previous day no sign and still no one came. Girl at front desk was not concerned when I told her about it.
I felt like my stay was very comfortable, and the accommodations were way above the level of other hotel rooms in the same price range. The room was clean, the bed and pillows were plush and comfortable, and the complimentary breakfast was well stocked with a great selection. I will definitely keep this Super 8 in mind for all my future trips to Portland, ME.
I like the free breakfast and the bed was very comfortable. I slept like a baby. Not really worth mentioning, but there was a light bulb out in the room which I'm sure that they fixed immediately. They thanked me for letting them know. Everyone was very polite to me.
The room was clean and the staff were pleasant. the walls are paper thin. I had to listen to obnoxously loud drunk people throw up at 4:00 in the morning. All in all we paid $90.00 for a $45.00 a night hotel room.
I book this hotel for 3 adults and two children and the iternary indicated additional charge for one adults. When I arrived the hotel and owner only had record for 3 adults. He was not happy with conflicted information either. I was informed by the owner that there were additional charge for children above 10 years old, which I was not aware when I booked the hotle. The owner called the travel agency for me and the travel agency customer service suggested me to pay the additional charge and dispute the charge with the travel agency afterward. the travel agency offerred credict toward future trip before I disputed. Anyway, we stay for one night. Besides the beginning arguments about the extra charge, the service from the owners are good. The room is very clean. Space is good. Microwave and refregerator are convenient. Owners are proud of their management and care about review very much. Do not expect too much about the breadkfast. Rate is lower than other hotels in the area. We stay there to go to Ochard beach. Nice distance The rate must be much lower than hotels right at beach areas for the season.
Room was very large and comfortable. It was easy to get to and within a short drive of everywhere we needed to get to. The staff were wonderful and kept everything very clean and orderly. It is a few miles from the coast so you need to drive to enjoy the ocean. We would definitely stay there again!
We highly recommed this Inn because of friendly staff, cleaniness of room and safe location for travellers. \nQuiet spot and the inn is very neat, the atmosphere, landscaping, easy to travel, with in miles from Portland Jetport, routes and areas for travelling. We have fantastic 10 days at this Inn.
Very basic. Just a room without anything else. I don't think they even had a coffee maker. Absolutely no staff around . A place to stay for a night in a pinch. Clean enough but not great. I would not look forward to staying there again. Not really a bargain.
We needed a place for one night close to the airport and selected this property. The people at the front desk were very friendly and the room was clean. The refrigerator was a very nice touch. The room was very basic, but just what we needed for the night. The airport and dining options were close. The only negative was the 10am check out time. That was a little early, but we did not ask for a late check out. They may work with you. I like the check out procedure. Open the curtains, leave the key and go. I would stay there again.
I wanted to find an inexpensive hotel to take my fiance to the weekend of his 31st birthday. I wasn't looking for a fancy, upscale hotel. Instead, I was looking for a place where we could call our home-base and basically just sleep. We weren't in the hotel all that much since we were out doing some sightseeing and shopping at Maine Mall. Also this place is located close to great Scarborough beach and Old Orchard beach as well. Keep in mind that this hotel is a budget hotel, not a top notch Marriott. If you take that into consideration, you shouldn't be disappointed. It's clean, comfortable, and cozy. What more could you ask for at such a great discounted price?
The room was amazing! The room and bathroom were very large. The bed was very comfortable. The room had a refrigerator and a microwave, which was very helpful. Also, the location was amazing. With the Maine Mall, Cabela's, Portland Jetport, and with the many beaches to choose from. you're bound to find something to do. I can easily say that there are at least 15-20 restaurants in that area. The hotel didn't have a lot of amenities, but it did have a small continental breakfast area. The people there were very caring and kind.
Our family of four has stayed here on 3 occasions over the past 3 years and have found very clean and reasonably priced accommodation. The owners are friendly and helpful and obviously take great pride in running a quality hotel.
This property could be listed on the top ten worst places that I have stayed. The room was very spacious, and the bathroom was hugh, but those are the only good points that I can offer. They definately need to think about refurbishing this property, it has a lot of potential. As it is right now, it is very outdated and musty. There is no continental breakfast; they only offer coffee and powdered doughnuts across the drive in the office. When we arrived, we had to call a number and wait for someone to come to the door to check us in. If you need a hair dryer or iron, you have to walk to the office to get it. Definatley not somewhere I would return to, I could not image more than one day there. Do yourself a favor and spend a few extra dollars to stay at a nicer property.
My wife and I drove into the parking lot and was plesed with the looks of the place. It was very clean and all the flower boxes was beatyful. Our check is was less thes five min. When we walkes into our room we could not believe how big the room was.It had a king size bed with two nice confortable chairs and a stool for your feet. Then the bathroom was huge. We talked with this genteman and found out he was the owner, He was a great man he asked if we liked the room and asked if he could do any thing for us. we were treated very very well. My wife and I will stay there again when we go back to the area. I would strongly reccommend Americas Best Value Inn
The room was clean, and average in just about every other way. Which was what I was looking for on this trip with my daughters. I'd stay here again.
The staff was very friendly, the room was good sized. We would definitely stay here again.
