Press Hotel, Autograph Collection - Portland - Building
1
9.5 Excellent (713 reviews)
Overview Reviews
The Press Hotel, located on the corner of Exchange and Congress Streets in the Old Port District, features 110 thoughtfully appointed luxury guestrooms, including a Penthouse Suite with rooftop access and 360-degree views of the city; four private function rooms and is home to UNION, its 65-seat restaurant by Executive Chef, Joshua Berry. Each guestroom has design inspired by a 1920s writer's office including a vintage-styled journalist desk, playful newsroom references throughout and floor to ceiling marble bathrooms. An iconic front-desk "letterpress art wall" welcomes guests to its front desk and to its Inkwell lobby bar featuring hand crafted cocktails. The hotel also has an Art Gallery featuring local artists works, open to the public, which also includes a two story signature installation piece of vintage typewriters called the SWARM, to depict the chaos of a newsroom.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good food too! Great little hotel.
7.5 Good
Cons: Initial room was on north side of hotel next to fire department and a loading dock. Nocie room, terrible location in hotel. Get south side or go elsewhere.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is just so quaint. The little quotes on everything, the book of Maine poetry on the bed for turn down, the Scrabble board by the fireplace...great. And the Staff, from the valet to the front desk and all the other staff around the property...so friendly and accommodating.
Cons: Can't think of anything
7.5 Good
Pros: The gym
Cons: The service at the coffee bar.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is inspired by the history of the Press. Around every corner in every closet corridor and even on the back of chairs is homage to writing and the Press
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Press offers a unique stay from chain hotels. The restaurant is fantastic. Staff are helpful, friendly and truly accommodating. It is a tad pricey in high season, so we go in the off season. The beds are super comfy and the rooms are well maintained and spotless. It has a great vibe, w local.art on display. They have a shuttle to take you local places, not just the airport.
Cons: Seriously, we love it there. I even wrote their manager a personal note about how much we enjoyed ourselves.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice front desk staff. Comfortable bed. Good air conditioner. Great location. Complimentary coffee. Enjoyable breakfast in restaurant with fresh blueberry preserves. Plenty of complimentary bottled water and comp wi-fi. Hotel shuttle from/to airport
Cons: Most of the room has flooring, but there is carpet around the bed that needs to be vacuumed on a regular schedule. There was a large hairpin on the carpet when I checked in, and it was still there when I checked out four days later. No bathtub!!!
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed, great sheet. Luxurious shower
Cons: Could hear music from bar after 10 - until midnigt. A little stuffy in room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was outstanding and is what will bring me back.
Cons: Price to high
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent accommodations and tremendous staff. The free shuttle for guests around the city was a great perk. There is wonderful attention to detail and we loved our stay at the Press.
Cons: There is a lovely restaurant in the location, but they do not provide room service or spa amenities on site.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Room was close to the elevator and a bit noisy when other patrons were not using inside voices. Also, would want to stay on a higher floor another time. Wish there was an exhaust fan in the bathroom.

Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very welcoming!! We loved our rooms and the breakfast! Thanks! Come and stay and you will love it. So close to everything in town!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Connie has been extremely prompt to respond before our arrival. Amazing house from outside to inside. Our room (two double beds facing the front) has everything we needed, and even a good sample of snacks awaiting us. Connie and her daughter so kindly accommodated our early departure with breakfast a little earlier than usual. It was extremely tasty and I still remember it! We bought Connie’s nicely framed photos she photographed - a bit of Maine to take home along with the great experience of the stay here!
Cons: Nothing!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We loved the location and the Inn itself very clean and well stocked. We would stay there again. The breakfast was delicious also
10.0 Excellent
Pros: didn't realize that breakfast was pre-set. I am type 1 diabetic & french toast was too sweet. They were very accomodating & made me an egg & regular toast instead
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room was cute, light, comfortable, and was way better than the photos had led me to believe it would be. The beds were very comfortable, and we will be back again next time we are in Freeport! Our host was friendly and easy to communicate with. Breakfast was delicious, and the Inn is not even two blocks from all the shops. Very glad to have found this place!
Cons: Nothing.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The inn was super clean and comfortable. Connie, the owner, was friendly and served as a great resource for activities in Freeport and the area. The breakfasts were wonderful and filling. Candlebay Inn offered a great b and b experience for us!
Cons: The room was small, but we managed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Incredible location. Short walk to LL Bean and shopping in downtown Freeport. Interesting, comfortable rooms with thoughtful amenities. It feels like home. Excellent served breakfast in a bright dining area with an adjacent common or living room area. Each room is different. Very friendly staff. Good value.

Inn on Carleton - Portland - Bedroom
3
9.6 Excellent (71 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Portland (West End), Inn on Carleton is within a 15-minute walk of Portland Museum of Art and Children's Museum of Maine. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and coffee/tea in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: For years my husband and I have passed by Portland on our way to an island about an hour north of the city. I have always wanted to visit but never seemed to have the time. Our stay at Inn on Carleton was perfect. The owner was so helpful, the location allowed us to explore the city mainly on foot. The restaurant list that James offered, helped us find a wonderful spot for dinner. I would highly recommend this lovely inn.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The Eggs Benedict was excellent, loved the pear crumb cake, the monte cristo breakfast was very good, but too heavy for a breakfast item. Didn't like the crepes, too mushy. Everything else was good, the bed was comfortable, great location for walking anywhere!
Cons: My only complaint would be to have more protein options for the breakfast menu.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We spent two nights at this beautiful property in August. Our accommodation was stylishly furnished and very clean. Patty and Leo were wonderfully helpful hosts. The breakfasts were delicious too.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming building with friendly and helpful innkeeper. A pleasant, quiet neighborhood. Lots of great good places within 15 min walk.
Cons: Although breakfast was excellent, it would be helpful if it started a bit earlier.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked everything about this Inn. We travel a lot & stay in different kinds of accommodations. The breakfast was a feast. First cold items available & then a beautifully cooked breakfast -- wonderful flavors. The owner spent his career in the hotel business & knows how to run a B&B that doesn't feel like your grandmother's house. The building is beautiful and we walked to great restaurants. There is free parking & we were close to where we needed to be. You must be able to walk up stairs. But they are carpeted with a beautiful old handrail. The house was built in 1869 and we did not hear any of the other guests while in our room.
Cons: nothing
5.8 Okay
Cons: Start time
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Original details and condition of historical property
Cons: Limited on site parking but street parking available right in front
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff is extremely friendly. We were able to go prior to check in time to use the restroom and get some information about close by restaurants etc. and get the “check in” out of the way. Our key was left for us when we returned from lunch. Breakfast was very delicious and filling. If you or anyone in your party has food allergies they do their best to accommodate. They did have gluten free options of breakfast-waffles and pastries etc. included. The inn was very quiet at night. The room was clean. Happy with our stay.
Cons: We did have the smallest room in the inn I believe, the bathroom was semi small/tight. It is prime season to stay in Maine with the summer weather so the price was higher than what I would have imagined for the room we stayed in, but competitors were all about the same price- we wrote it off as prime season cost on a weekend, but a little more than we were hoping to spend on the weekend away. The breakfast was a nice breakfast so that helped make us feel slightly better about spending the cash!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was amazing. Check in was seamless and it is set in a quiet neighborhood close to the Old Port area. Easy to get to get here and a beautiful townhouse.
Cons: There are stairs only to the third floor, but it is bearable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was a piece of divine art with exceptional tastes.
Cons: I am not a smoker and I did smelll smoke off & on while inside my room...it could have come from next door.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything you could possibly need is here for you, spotless accommodations beautiful beach steps away quiet area .
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was our 50th Wedding Anniversary. Other than the cool weather and light rainfall, this place and area were above and beyond what we were expecting. Coming from the Houston TX area and our first time to the east coast. Weather slowed us some but still plenty see. Staff, above and beyond hospitality and info. The good LOOD willing, we make another trip for sure, but stay a few more days. James and Vicky.
Cons: Weather
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was absolutly great , including de owners of the hotel.Apartment super comfortable with all details you can imagine in your perfect home.Nice area around to walk around and relax mind.Excellent choose we made.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The suites owned and operated by Nick are truly exemplary. Everything you need like living at home is available with great quality and found intuitively. Extremely well thought through concept in detail from kitchen, living and bedrooms with baths. It goes without saying, the suites are extremely clean and quality of beds including mattresses were superb. Next time around East coast in Maine - go there and spend time in this tranquil area. Stefan from Germany
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I live in Montreal at the moment and my daughter (who lives in Boston) and I decided to meet in Pine Point for my birthday weekend. I grew up going to there and I raised my kids going there...it had been way too long since visiting. We used to rent houses as families, Lighthouse was fabulous in absolutely every way, loved it and will hopefully be back very soon :)
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was so clean and proximity to the beach
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were surprised with the level of luxury of the suite and thoughtfulness of the owner we received from Lighthouse. We also liked the proximity to the ocean.
Cons: We didn't sleep great, but we prefer softer beds. I don't know that any vacation rental can get this exactly right for every guest.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: All the staff was helpfull and friendly even the guests, it was easy to get to with lots of places to eat and shop.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful place to stay...
Cons: Nothing all good
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The apartment is wonderful, spacious and new, nicely decorated and has everything you need. The beach is very close and you can take the chairs from the hotel which is a very nice thing to do if the weather allows. Free parking right in front of the building. Everything is extremely clean and taken care of.
Cons: The bed could be larger and the mattress could be better. Our was somehow soft in the middle and harder on the edges so we were both sleeping in the middle :-) TV had some issues and was losing the signal sometimes...Check-in/out time isn’t reasonable. Must be at least 11am and 15pm!

5.0 Okay
Pros: Staff
Cons: Poor value for the price
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Difficult to find. Signs are small and hidden by bushes.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and quiet. The rooms are large and comfortable.
Cons: A microwave oven in the room would have been convenient.
6.8 Good
Pros: Quiet and comfortable.
Cons: The pool was closed. The bistro was closed.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Couch was nice to watch TV on instead of in bed.
Cons: Staff. The gentleman at the desk informed me that there was no rooms available they were 100% booked. He was rude and cold. I then went to my vehicle and went online found 5 rooms still available for rent. I booked went back in and informed the desk clerk I had a reservation and he looked startled. Was still rude and didn't even apologize for being wrong about the rooms being vacant. Will not be staying with your company again in the future.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable beds! Close to the airport
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed
Cons: Breakfast not included
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I love the personnel! From the knowledgeable front desk attendants to the very helpful and accommodating housekeeping staff! They are every bit professional, but especially kind, friendly and funny! They seemed interested in the people staying there, eager to help make anyone’s visit more enjoyable in any way that they could!
Cons: I booked on a different site (I didn’t realize at the time that it wasn’t through Marriott.) and I paid additional money for three of us to have breakfast! We ended up having to leave and go somewhere else for breakfast because of a family issue. I asked if I could get a slip saying that the next time we stayed at Marriott we could have breakfast. I was told that wasn’t possible because we didn’t book through Marriott! I thought that was very short sighted and a bit too miser like for a place like Marriott!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very clean and comfortable. I go to Portland often and would definitely re-book at this hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice room and comfy bed.
Cons: Walls were a little thin. 8

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was great - the pool was fun - the breakfast was delicious! My daughter was all about the waffle maker!
Cons: that the pool was closed our first night, through no fault of the property, though!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel room was spacious and felt more like a studio apartment. The pool was really lovey after a long drive, and the hot tub was a luxury. The staff were nice and helpful, and the complimentary dinner social and breakfast were delicious and more expansive than expected. The room came with a full-sized fridge and everything you could need in the small kitchen area, which, again, is so much more than one comes to expect for the price of the room.
Cons: There was no instruction on how to change the room temperature below 65°, which meant the room was way too hot to sleep in and we didn’t figure out how to at least turn the thing off until the next day. (Which is our own fault.) I also didn’t get much sleep due to the location next to the highway and non-stop trucks with their air breaks all night. (Which, again, isn’t something the hotel can change.) What is something they could change is housekeeping. The pillows were covered with someone’s hair, and clearly not cleaned beforehand.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was very clean and nice! Liked all the amenities as well
Cons: The front desk manager gave me a bad vibe. Asking way to many personal questions. I called the front desk to ask for toilet paper and get the bed made up because the sheet kept falling off. I mentioned that I was stepping out for a bit and they could come up and do it then, She then asked what time I would be back and I understand a time frame for housekeeping to go in. She then says "so you'll be out until 5-6?" I said no I'm going out for a few hours so I would have been back about 2pm she then asked me again for a specific time which I didn't give. I felt like I had to be out to give time for them to fix my bed and bringt toilet paper. When I did leave the room housekeeping was outside my door already working on the floor so I'm not sure why she couldn't have just got ahold of her and had her come in my room quick. I didn't like how many questions were asked to me during my stay. Also very loud I got woke up every morning from noise it was supposed to be a relaxing weekend with my husband on our anniversary and it wasn't at all. The bed was very uncomfortable and felt very uneven. The room was beautiful but in my reservations it said the room was going to have a shower and a tub and when I got there there was no tub.
4.0 Okay
Cons: funky smell of the room. Not worth the $$$ Continental part of breakfast was ok, hot buffet - eggs were horrible. this was one of the reason we picked this hotel because it included breakfast, but unfortunately we had to go out and pay for breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rveryday
Cons: everyone really like to stay at this hotel
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was only a 15-20 min ride to old port which was amazing. Definitely do the trolley tour of the city. It was AMAZING! Totally worth 25 pp. also make sure to check out local activities like the glowing bikes (207 RainbowBikes). Lots of fun stuff to do if you are patient enough to ask locals. 10/10 would recommend.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast I would give 4/5, the frittata wasn't great and I can't remember the other day's.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Property was clean and breakfast very good!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Facility was clean and staff was friendly. Bed was extremely comfortable! Made our stay very enjoyable!
4.0 Okay
Pros: location and cleanliness
Cons: the housekeeping refused to show up after requesting for a cleanup after a toilet leak and the maintenance guy had to show up after repeating requests
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was updated and very comfortable and spacious. Having the mini kitchen was very helpful. The free breakfast was decent. Convenient location to many nearby towns and a lot of shopping and food nearby.
Cons: Honestly the only negative I have is the hair dryer they have in the rooms is old and barely works. That's the only negative I can think of.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very helpful and friendly, facilities were clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub.
Cons: nothing comes to mind

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Close proximity for walking to the port, shopping and great restaurants!
Cons: Not a big deal but would love to have had a way to make coffee in my room. They provided great coffee in the lobby.
7.5 Good
Pros: Beautiful and great location. Very welcoming to our pups.
Cons: The noise above our room kept us up all night. Also the heat came on (in the middle of summer) and we couldn’t figure out how to turn it off. Also working the lights takes a little getting used to.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Clean, modern comfy. Good location and a super helpful team. The vibe of Portland is so relaxed. You will love it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff went above and beyond to make sure I enjoyed my time in Portland.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful staff, friendly and full of great suggestions about what to do, happy to accommodate and available at all times. Good location about twenty minutes from main drag, although there are some great options right around the hotel, too. Comfortable bed and nice touches like quality toiletries, comfy robes and a minibar stocked with local items. We will return. Thanks!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked that it was spotlessly clean ... tho the mid stay cleaning was meh. i liked that the bathroom was large and the Speakman shower head was super. I liked the mini bar stocked with good stuff tho ice would have been nice. I liked that it was electronically considerate- everything worked.
Cons: I didn't like being in the basement... needed some modest storage in the bathroom -- no room on the sink for my stuff and if my husband had been with me it would have been a problem. The room was too small for the price- and monastic. Small spaces need more charm
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room was good-sized with a very comfortable bed and a very nice bathroom. The air conditioning worked perfectly with no cold spots. The staff were very helpful and available. The massage was very well done and left me feeling relaxed. The hotel is lovely - the renovations maintain most of the old details while making the building feel new.
Cons: The location isn't as convenient to downtown as we would have liked but we knew that when we booked. In nice weather we would have walked but in the heat of the summer we drove. The coffee shop across the street was fine for a light breakfast although be prepared for a bit of a wait due to its popularity.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent welcome from the person in charge. at a relatively late time
Cons: Bit noisy in the morning, as you hear every step of the floor above
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a beautiful property. Our room was tastefully appointed. The bathroom with walk-in shower had high end bath products. The robes were a lovely touch. The staff was fabulous! We needed information as to where some of the craft breweries were and received excellent advice. The nightly rate compared to some of the national name hotels was one of the best I could find for a hotel on this caliber.

Pros: The space in the room for our family of 5 was perfect! Especially liked the privacy curtain to section the room off. Breakfast selections were very good too.
Cons: The price of the room compared to the location of the hotel didn't quite match. The hotel wasn't near anything downtown or coastal so the pricing seemed high.

Pros: Loved the property location was great could walk everywhere , Staff amazing and property clean
Cons: 22 a day to park
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location allowing to stroll to other downtown and harbor areas
Cons: A bit too noisy on 4th floor due to rooftop AC and ventilation running 24/7. Other floors might be better
9.3 Excellent
Cons: On our first stay, 26 June to 29 June, required a room change and was handled expeditiously. The mgr. upgraded us on our return which made us very happy. This is not our first stay and will not be our last. However, the cost is a bit excessive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Decoration, check-in, location, room, it was clean, beautiful, perfect!
Cons: nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room very spacious and comfortable.. Staff was fantastic, valet guys really friendly and informative
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I love this hotel! So close to the shopping and restaurants of Exchange Street and the other venues Portland has to offer. That and it's just so decadent and friendly!
Cons: Not a thing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: First time visiting Portland. Wanted a comfortable hotel. Meet our expectation
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nicely decorated rooms. Great staff, friendly & knowledgeable. Close to everything. Easy to walk back and forth to hotel.
Cons: We didn’t have hot water for our morning shower. Technical issue, no biggy!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast we great, we all thought the food as way above par! Great job!
Cons: Shower was small / don't need a tub/ overall room was nice but could have used a sofa and coffee table.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent but service was slow. Staff were very pleasant, excellent shower always a plus. Food was good and dining room comfortable.
Cons: For the price room was not exceptional. A/C was not working properly but was repaired quickly once reported.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was great- the valet attendants were very professional (and the parking was actually cheaper than the city parking garages) and the front desk staff were very helpful. They even had a complimentary car service! You also can't beat the location of the hotel- a minute walk and you're surrounded by beautiful shops and restaurants!
Cons: Our room was near the elevator and the pantry- due to the proximity of those two things, it was pretty loud throughout the night. There was a sign next to the pantry encouraging people to be quiet but I'm not sure that advice was taken. While the wooden floors were beautiful, I don't think they did a lot to muffle noise when people walked to their rooms in the middle of the night.

6.3 Good
Pros: Breakfast was delicious nice variety
Cons: Room had a smell to it as if people had been smoking in it so I had sinus headache whole time. Maid hadn’t thrown out and replaced hot cups in room, odd. I like to have tea when I wake up.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was awesome. Really liked that "cook to order" option. Also, hot foods were hot and cold foods were cold. I also loved having the shuttle available to bring us back and forth to town.
Cons: It would have been nice if the shuttles to town started a little earlier and ended a little later (perhaps just be on call).
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing. This was a terrible choice based on booking.com photos and reviews.
Cons: Very disappointing. Very Over priced. Reality didn’t live upto photos or reviews on booking.com. We had a king size suite. It felt dirty, dank and very old. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable, offering no support. We asked for a quiet room, were given the room by the elevators. We asked for airport shuttle but it was not available when we arrived, despite my calling ahead to request it for our late night arrival. No window insulation so in the morning you feel like you are on the runway.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect for our needs and the shuttle service was excellent. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. We had to leave at 4:00 a.m. and there was a continental breakfast available which was very helpful. The cocktail hour was welcome after a long day of travel.
Cons: We expected a room with two beds and a pull out sofa but we had only one bed and there was nothing available so one of us had to sleep on an air mattress that was not fully inflated.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Suites were spacious and clean
Cons: No room available at check in time due to short staffing. No bartender to give “drinks on house” offered in consolation.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean place and nice staff
Cons: A bit far

We enjoyed cozy reading spaces in our room and the living room. We were delighted by breakfast which was fresh and yummy, with a menu that accomodated our varied tastes. We savored the overall decor which was arty with delightful variety. Thank you.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was super helpful with guiding us through the city. Great atmosphere and funky background music. Art work was terrific as well. I could have stayed here all week, but we went up the coast to Bar Harbor. I highly recommend this B&B!!!
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was lovely every morning, and always included an additional, unconventional dish that would end up stealing the show. The bed was phenomenally comfortable. The architecture of the inn was beautiful.
Cons: We would have preferred an earlier start with breakfast (it isn't served until 0800) but it was always worth waiting for, and made us remember that we we're on vacation.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfasts were “iffy”
Cons: Breakfasts
4.3 Okay
Pros: Staff friendly
Cons: Probably was chic a few years ago, now sadly only shabby. Paint peeling off and missing plaster in bedroom and hallway. Not clean - windows filthy. Hardly slept due to very loud ac unit in bedroom, plus same from room below. One to give a miss!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the room, the historic home, the location and the comfortable bed and pillows!
Cons: The breakfast was underwhelming

Pros: Very clean, friendly staff!
Cons: The location could have been better, too close to the highway.
4.5 Okay
Pros: It's location.
Cons: Well, I didn't realize I had booked 2 non refundable nights in a Dog Kennel.
6.8 Good
Pros: It has a very modern clean feel to it that I appreciated! I adored the walk in showers and the impeccable lighting in the bathroom! It is very very clean. The staff were extremely thoughtful and just over all wonderful. It was also super nice to see how many people utilizing the hang out space in the lobby. My boyfriend and I loved playing pool! The decor was very upbeat and bright. Very cute! I liked the board of suggested things to do. And you can have your pet with you so puppies always win! Weird flex but I LOVED your soap.
Cons: The beds. Oh my god the beds were like sleeping on the floor. My boyfriend didn’t sleep well the entire trip. I felt so bad! I guess the price point is what’s getting me. I am not sure this is worth $200 a night. We travel a lot and expected something a bit more...more? If that makes sense? We just hoped to get some good rest for that price.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Loved the look of the property. Game room area the seating was great! Good location. Loved the shower!

Cons: Highway noise
9.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was modern and very clean.
Cons: There was not enough parking to hold the guests from this hotel and a nearby hotel, which had an event going on for the weekend. We parked over night in the mall parking lot- but this is not an overnight lotS we only stayed one night so no harm done.

Pros: I loved the fact that they had real old fashion keys for the room. Charming hotel with a wonderful staff. It was so easy to walk to shops and restaurants.
Cons: parking options were limited
5.0 Okay
Pros: Bed was like a cloud
Cons: Our a/c wasn’t working - moves to 2 different rooms. Smaller. Hotel was not as nice or accommodating as I thought - WiFi connection in and out. It seems not connected to modern days at all. oh yes, there was also a fire alarm which we had to evacuate for the whole afternoon. The staff were to themselves and barely provide any info about that fire situation, accommodation or sights in the area as we were tourist. As a young couple, we felt treated with less class than the older audience
5.8 Okay
Pros: Great location, nice amenities including spa
Cons: We were put in back portion, lower level. Whereas the rooms we have stayed in before had beautiful showers and spacious rooms, this one was Holiday Inn level

6.2 Good
Pros: Location was nice
Cons: When I reserved the place could have sworn I got it doe the good price. Approx 300 per night. Checked out at 506/$ per night. If I knew I’d be paying 500 I would have gone to Boston
6.3 Good
Cons: At the time of booking this hotel it was stated that there was on site parking for $28 a day. When we arrived, it was valet only and $30. This was not clear and did not appreciate valet only option. Also, I booked a King size bed with sofa bed room and upon entering my room there were 2 queen sized beds. When I asked the check-in desk clerk why my room was switched, they said there was a maintenance issue. Marriott failed to notify me prior to check-in or during the check-in process that my room was switched. At the time of booking the room the King sized room was more expensive than the Queen sized room and I was not refunded the difference. I find the lack of communication and the switcheroo process very unsettling. I booked the King size room for a reason, due to the height of my husband. Shame on Marriott and I would like some money refunded for this inconvenience as we had difficulty sleeping in the Queen sized bed.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the design, size, and comfort of room. Also liked location. The bar/lounge was great, as was the staff who worked there.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed at the Black Point Inn for almost a full week. We flew to Portland and took Uber, so we were on location without a car. We took all our meals at the Inn. We were treated like kings. Kitchen was delicious, the service very personal. We enjoyed the complimentary bikes on several occasions. Additionally, we enjoyed and partook in all of the presented activities (Monday welcome cocktail party, Tuesday a live band on the deck, Wednesday wine tasting and Thursday beer sampling). Guests at the black point inn enjoy access to two private beaches, perfect for long romantic beach walks and additionally, there is also a beautiful walking path. Cons: Over priced. For $400/night you would think that you wouldn't have to bring your bags to the room yourself
7.0 Good
Pros: The location of this hotel is great. We walked all over town from here.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Mike the manager and Eddie the bartender were fantastic. The biggest problem was over 600 dollars a night for a small one room with 2 beds. Breakfast was complimentary and good. Location was right in the center of old port. For 300 a night I would have felt appropriate. Wouldn’t go back at that price again
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Although the fare was pretty standard mid scale selection for USA, the quality was distinctly superior, except for the scrambled eggs which were the universally awful standard. The room was spacious and good, large bathroom.
Cons: Our first night was Saturday and there was a lot of noise from the street until about 1am
7.5 Good
Pros: The staff at desk super friendly and helpful .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was gorgeous; up overlooking the port- very spacious. The staff was incredibly helpful. I had forgotten a toothbrush and toothpaste and they provided me one. They also held onto our suitcase while we explored the city after we checked out.
Cons: When I made my reservations the listing indicated that breakfast was included, however there was a very small fee per room. Definitely not an issue and the quality far exceed the cost but it was just a touch unexpected. Not a problem.
7.0 Good
Pros: Loved the location. Staff was super friendly and nice.
Cons: The room could’ve been cleaner. The glasses had fingerprints and smudges around the rim as if they hadn’t been washed and the shower was pretty grimy. I also couldn’t seem to get the room temp right- I kept waking up either too hot or too cold.
