The location was good for where we needed to be and the rooms were spot on, we enjoyed some nights relaxing in the garden with both Jackie and Wayne who both made us feel most welcome. I honestly have nothing bad to say about this place and you will be treated so nicely should you decide to stay here. We will 100 percent be returning should we be working in the area again. Thank you Jackie and Wayne!!!!

Cons: Shower
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly owners and the lady of the house was extremely clean so the house was spotless. She was generous with breakfast and very helpful
Cons: Noisy neighbors - had a party till about 3 am. That is against the law in the UK but the neighbors didn't care. They kept me awake with all the noise.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was perfect for our family. Much needed private space (including outside back garden) to relax after sightseeing all day. Only 5 min flat walk to supermarket and train station. Lovely and clean and safe. Shared kitchen available for us to make picnic lunch and tea! Free tea, coffee, bottled water and breakfast items were gratefully received! There was also fresh fruit for our children! Great for families, a nice quiet space. WiFi was also great to have to plan our days!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Jing was a lovely host who made sure I was comfortable and went out of her way to allow me to check in much later due to a delayed flight. Sparkling clean and very comfortable for such a valuable price. Very close to station so a great location. I stayed for work and it was very quiet and peaceful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: First trip to London with my 13yo son, and we were delighted with Simply Guesthouse - it is like staying in a friend's house! Jing was very friendly and couldn't be more helpful. House is very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Great train link into centre of London, and nearby Sainsburys is handy.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Simply Guesthouse offers rooms with shared facilities in a terraced house, use of the kitchen including cooking facilities, fridge, microwave and a selection of breakfast cereals, fruit and milk. The hosts (who live across the street) do the cleaning, fill the dishwasher, replenish the supplies and make sure that everybody is generally happy and has got what they need. I like this concept, because it is completely clear what to expect, everybody has their freedom, a personal space and comfort. The place is conveniently located close to a railway station that takes you into central London within 20 minutes. There are some shops and some takeaways nearby.
Cons: It is fine as it is, in its way.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I was really happy with my stay here - the staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was just a very short walk from Abbey Wood overground rail station. There is a large Sainsburys with a cafe close by.
Cons: It was a little difficult for three rooms of people to easily share 1 small bathroom inc. toilet.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The owners was very nice. Beautiful room and bathroom was very tidy. Posibility to use a kitchen, where everybody can use bread, butter, jam, coffee, milk and tea from fridge for a breakfast . Near to train. Near to big Sainsbury´s.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: The who experience was excellent. My wife and I have been coming to the hotel for many years and the hotel had been going in service. But since the new owners have taken over, the whole of the hotel has improved 100%. The service, the decor, the amenities are all 100%..10 stars to the new owners.
Cons: Did not dislike anything.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Really lovely lady who run the hotel, would do anything to help you, order you a taxi to what ever you need. Had a lovely fri up breakfast with continental also optional, lovely big garden area you can sit in out the back of the property. Room was perfectly comfortable for me and my friend, good value for money and in a great central location.
Cons: Just wondered where to park at first, it was fine as no one was moving until morning, but we had to box cars in upon the drive, would not have fitted if we had a bigger car. Room was nice, could maybe be updated a little.

7.0 Good
Pros: The facilities and location were perfectly fine and what I expected at this price point. Breakfast was excellent. The owner/manager (not sure which), was pleasant and friendly, and took a genuine interest.
Cons: The owner/manager did not live on site and therefore asked us to call his mobile when we were half an hour from arriving. We could only reache his voicemail and therefore we had to wait for him to arrive before we could enter the accommodation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Prash was extremely helpful and friendly, the property was beautifully clean, and the location was great for our purpose.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing at all
Cons: The fact that a permanent resident with mental health issues damaged my vehicle whilst drunk. The landlord Prash showed very little concern and suggested I repair the damage myself. Drunken residents slamming doors doesn’t help anyone get a good nights sleep.

Pros: The room was clean, the bed was a king and so very comfy. The en suite was clean and tidy. The area was quiet and very close to the town centre.
9.5 Excellent

Cons: Arrived for breakfast for 8:00 but breakfast was Luke warm , bacon very well done, baked beans luke warm. Today we came down for breakfast at 8:00 but there was no bacon, no tomatoes, no mushrooms. We were told that fresh ones would be coming out. 15 minutes later again the bacon was overdone and Luke warm. Pillows very flat Fan in room - pressure very low , you literally have to sit in front to benefit from it No hot / cold food available in hotel There was no ice on the hottest day of the year in the bar Asked earlier for a bucket of ice so that an Anniversay could be celebrated in private . I was told that the ice machine was not working Would have been a good gesture for someone to bring up a bucket of ice so that my brother in law and sister in law could celebrate their 37th Anniversary. There are times in the day when guests are unable to have a drink downstairs
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice English scenery and a cosy place.
Cons: The cafeteria and dinner area didn't really match the rest of the nice rooms. A kind of feeling of school cafeteria.

8.6 Excellent (635 reviews)
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
6.3 Good
Pros: Host was friendly and answered quick. Was always trying to make our stay comfortable. The bathroom is modern (but was not clean all the time, also sometimes there only was cold water to shower) Walking distance to the underground was about 15 minutes.
Cons: Our bed was very small for two people. Also there was almost nothing for breakfast except of eggs and cornflakes (you get tired of that after 4 days) somedays we were lucky to have some bread. No cheese and meat at all.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice and spacious room with good facilities and shower room for the big out house
Cons: The caterer was asleep when arrived and so was a little bit of effort to get into the property and also still haven’t had a work VAT invoice for my company after 2 emails
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location and good value for money.
Cons: Well I dont usually get asthma but staying night I had asthma attack. This was probably down to dust being present in room and not being cleaned. Although breakfast was included there wasnt much choice and very little to eat
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: It was the worst situation I've ever been in. We had a reservation what we paid in advance and "our" room was already taken. We weren't offered another room at first cause the only free room they still had was more expensive. We only wanted to stay one night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly owner n great ambiance....relaxed n comfortable.
Cons: Nothing...
7.0 Good
Pros: Good size room. Very clean. Nice bread
Cons: Heat was oppressive. the room was a total furnace. No nets at window so everyone could see in unless the curtains were fully closed which stopped any potential breeze. This is a house that's been split into rooms on a residential street so a. B&B (which you help yourself to limited food) rather than a hotel. No signage to help identify the property. .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and nice
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: all nice brilliant stay
Cons: big room, shower all new
7.0 Good
Pros: Good comfortable rooms

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean and cozy. Late check in. Host was excellent.
Cons: Kitchen knife, tin opener should have been provided. More windows for fresh air would be good.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Self contained unit with separate entry. Modern co-ordinated interior. Parking and in a close of similar properties. Chosen for its proximity to a family function but not the kind of area for a relaxing break.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Super cute room. There’s a big window and the host was nice and explained the money generated helps domestic abuse victims. Great WiFi and building was secure. Very close to shops and tube station.
Cons: Bed was squeaky. Towels were a little rough. No shampoo (mine got confiscated at airport) so had to buy big bottle which I left for the next traveler.

Cons: The hotel was slightly further from the underground station than I expected, but it was easy to find!
5.8 Okay
Pros: The bed is not meant for 2 adults
Cons: The breakfast
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Customer service was excellent. Really helpful staff. The room was of decent size with a cupboard and chest of drawers. Plenty of storage for clothes. The mattress was bouncy and could do with it being much firmer. The bathroom was clean, yet a little small in size. It could do with shelves for toiletries.
Cons: Bathroom was small, shower cubicle was small. It needs some shelves for toiletries. Mattress needs to be firmer.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very helpful and friendly.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Continental breakfast is included in the room price, very nice.. no waiting around the toaster. Breakfast is served to you, help yourself to cereal Pastries etc. Well presented and fresh.
Cons: Nothing springs to mind. Single room is a little cramped, but compared to other hotels in Ilford the Rosales is definitely a cut above...very good value for money.
7.0 Good
Pros: I.liked that the deposit could be handled in cash where by it was returned the next day , a logistical delight in comparison to others which say they will return it in 7 days but with weekends work out most of 2 weeks
Cons: It was fine. It wasn't great luxury but that wasn't expected.
7.5 Good
Pros: The bed was very comfortable and nice size room for me and my partner
Cons: The shower blocked up
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Convenience of travelling every day to London Central. Plenty Halal food choice in the area.
Cons: none
Packfords Hotel - Woodford Green - Building
10
8.6 Excellent (56 reviews)
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The hot Full english breakfast was hot and eggs were cooked just right. There was a good selection of fruit and cereals available. The main breakfast was served and we didn't have to wait too long.
Cons: The only thing I found was a couple of the drawers in the room had a dirty ear bud inside and one of the towels on the hand rail had two large holes in it.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean beautiful room large bathroom
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely property, our room was large with a lovely bathroom, just a short walk to restaurants.
Cons: Bed was just a little firm for me.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast excellent...Staff very helpful. Room very comfortable. Grounds idyllic.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room(9) was delightful in the eaves and so much more interesting than the usual corporate hotel room. All the staff were helpful and friendly
Cons: In common with so many hotels... the horrible pretend milk in the room- Instant coffee is just about bearable but only with real milk. Breakfast was adequate but no croissants/pastries and the choices were very limited. My scrambled egg had no taste at all and there was no vegetarian option eg veggie sausage
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was good. The room was nice. It is very convenient to the tube station. It is the only hotel in the area. Parking is off street and free.
Cons: The only suggestion I have is that they get portable AC units for when it is extremely hot. No complaints really.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Super cute hotel with wonderful staff. I forgot my credit card in the taxi from the airport and they contacted the taxi driver for me and arranged for him to drop off the credit card while I went out to dinner with my family. I did not have to do a thing. Very comfortable beds and nice, clean bathroom. On the last day they packed breakfast for us so that we could eat it in the taxi as we left before breakfast. They really did that little extra the whole stay. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone visiting London and will stay there again if I get a chance to go back to London.
Cons: Unfortunately there was no elevator witch can be an inconvenience if you have trouble walking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the moment we entered the property, we felt as if we had been transported to a secret getaway, tucked nicely into the beautiful British countryside. The secluded property comes to life with the amazing amenities like an onsite cafe, access to a private outdoor path, and indoor/outdoor living spaces to take in the views. Our rooms were thoughtfully stocked with essentials to make the stay feel like home. We will definitely come back!
Cons: We wish we could have stayed longer!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, lovely overall stay
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It was a very hot weekend and there was only a sheet on the bed which was ideal. The duvet had been folded and put in wardrobe.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The bed was excellent supering size, so was the breakfast. Staff and owners were very friendly and made you feel welcome. We also had a small balcony, with a table and two chairs, which we used before going out. Room 22
Cons: Unfortunately due to the size of the bed this made the room feel a little small, but worth putting up with. There was no where to store you toiletries in the en suite. (No shelve) The en suite needs a shelve above the towel rail plus a couple of towel hooks on the wall would be nice. Sometimes a slight smell was coming from the sink, plus a small amount of black mould was forming in the corner of some tiles, in the shower cubicle, which can be easily cured. We also believe the room requires a wall mirror rather than the small mirror on the dressing table. I hope the owner takes these comments in a positive way. Would we return, YES.

3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The bed was comfortable and the apartment was very clean.
Cons: No bed linen for sofa bed.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Very clean, modern apartment, with central location.
Cons: Parking - couldn't park in the apartment car park, so was offered the Queens Park car park opposite. However we arrived on Saturday having driven down from Cheshire. The car park was locked up until Monday morning so couldn't get access to my car all weekend! This wasn't explained at time of check in and was frustrating because we couldn't use my car. The apartment was red hot. All the bedding was polyester fibre so we all had terrible nights sleep due to being warm. Fans were supplied but noisy at night. Not enough towels were supplied for how many were staying. We had an apartment with a balcony and bifold doors, however we could only open one, the others were locked and no key was left. The reception closed at 5pm on Saturday, so couldn't call anyone to discuss. We were leaving Monday morning when the office re-opened!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location was great 4 large shopping centres near by and the Tube also very close by so travel to anywhere in London was easy
Cons: Well the trains were a little noisy in the morning but then we knew this. Ask for your free earplugs when collecting your keys. Saying that I would stay again
7.5 Good
Pros: The apartment was without hot water for three days - from Friday 7th to Monday afternoon 10th. Plus the wash hand basin in the bathroom - the plug did not hold the water in the basin therefore, shaving was a chore.
Cons: Not being able to save Not able to have a hot shower
7.5 Good
Pros: The bed was comfortable. Reception lady was nice and helpful. When we arrived the bathroom paint was peeling off and some irritating stains around the wash basin, upon our complaint, the maintenance guy was called in and fixed these as quickly as possible.
Cons: Stains around bathroom wash basin and shower area.
7.0 Good
Pros: Clean, close to shops etc and all facilities you need in the apartment. We were given a fan upon asking.
Cons: It is the loudest place I have ever stayed in, the cargo trains hurtle by all times of night, foxes in the bins, people drunk screaming. No air-con meaning the windows had to be open hence the noise being even worse.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We chose to stay in a serviced 2bed apartment, as it was far better value than booking two separate hotel rooms. Secure pre-booked parking. Fast WiFi, Sonos speaker system (connect through Sonos app) Fabulous en suite bathroom with amazing shower - with lighting, digital temperature and many other options!Comfortable living/diner with everything thing you could need in a kitchen. Everything spotlessly clean and staff at check in were very helpful and pleasant.
Cons: It was mid-July when we stayed at it was a very humid day. I’m surprised that although the apartments are newly renovated - they missed the opportunity to install air conditioning. Strange that althoughlts of money obviously spent on high spec fittings and equipment (Ceiling speakers, Sonos integration, fancy showers etc.) there was no dishwasher - which I would have thought a must-have in a services apartment. It’s directly next to a railway line carrying heavy freight - so if you have the windows open (which we did as it was so warm) there is a lot of noise. However we slept well.

5.0 Okay
Pros: Comfortable bed.
Cons: Restaurant only open at certain times so If you have a planned evening that means you have to leave to be at your function early then you cannot have a meal, you have to buy either snacks or leave even earlier to eat at another diner. No towels in room on arrival, no phone in room. Reception stated only a 10min walk to Barking Tube station but was approximately 60mins by foot, we had a taxi in the end as walking was too far when carrying luggage.

Cons: Asking for ID when giving cash payments
7.0 Good
Pros: The beds were comfy and having aircon was a real benefit. The room was spacious clean and what I expected from a Premier Inn.
Cons: The hallways were really hot and there were building works going on in the property when I got there, that I didn't know about before arriving. The impact of these was the lift was not working and the carpets where partially covered, meaning the hall didn't look so nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were really really friendly and accommodating The room was clean and quiet and air conditioning made it really comfortable I have stayed twice now at this hotel so that says it all really
3.0 Mediocre

6.8 Good
Pros: The roof didn't leak. Location was convenient for where we were going.
Cons: The staff themselves were friendly and helpful but the service was chaotic. We tried to order food but most of our choices were unavailable. Those that were able to get their choice (chicken risotto) were given a plate of gloop where you couldn't see the individual rice grains. One of our party then paid for the meal at reception with her credit card. The charge appeared on her bill but I found later it had been charged to my credit card! Because the meal was so bad we were offered free drinks but declined because we had an early start in the morning. In the morning one of us got a coffee from the machine but were not allowed to use the free drinks offer! Not impressed.

5.8 Okay
Pros: Positives Great breakfast. Negatives When booked asked for early check in, recieved no reply! Assumed incorrectly that would be ok so when turned up earlier no room ready, was offered use of the bar etc but had nobody working behind it and reception had no intention of leaving his area even tho note in bar said ask reception for service. Was told to wait 30mins for room then 20mins at no point did reception offer to hold bags so we could wonder around area till rooms ready,so after awhile asked him which seemed put off doing but when I explained for 2nd time that I had specifically asked for early check-in and had recieved no reply- he went on to tell me I hadn't paid the extra £20 ( maybe because email wasn't read with the request in first place stating I was prepared to pay the extra if applicable). Finally after a hour or so ie over 3hrs since we arrived, was offered keys to room outside of reception block and across the road. Room had the facilities we had paid for but TV had no remote control so was not much use and with a 11am check out ( oh unless you paid the extra £20) felt cheated throughout stay. I wouldn't recommend with the exception of the breakfast and my next visit to area I will research alot more then looking at the pictures and reading up (which must be ) dodgy write ups.
Cons: As above
6.8 Good
Pros: Great staff, happy to help
Cons: Didn't like the drunk trying to get into my room at 03:15 am and when told it wast his room this made him more determined to get in. Phoned reception and it was dealt with rapidly.
7.5 Good
Pros: The parking space was a problem which led to a confrontation with the staff. He was very harsh with us.
Cons: A number of things
6.8 Good
Pros: The staff were very friendly and changed me to a ground floor room because I found the stairs difficult. The bed was very comfortable.
Cons: The first room I stayed in had a strong smell of drains/ sewage - this may have been linked to the shower not draining very well so a possible blockage. The available food for breakfast was of quite a mediocre quality.
7.0 Good
Pros: Price
Cons: Room looked a bit dated. Road noise in our room was bad, as it was hot and had to have the windows open.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: The most uncomfortable bed. Hard and creaky. Either had to sleep under a thick duvet or nothing at all. Would not recommend
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very happy with the service and incredible staff
7.5 Good
Pros: Clean and helpful staff.
Cons: Very noisy night. I could hear people talking clearly in the reception, outside, in hallways until quite late.
7.5 Good
Pros: Room was clean and comfortable
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff is very welcoming. The breakfast very generous and typical from Britain ! The bar + lounge is perfect to chill out ! We spent a lovely stay in this beautiful 3* hotel which is very near from the city center of ROMFORD where we went to the Gym (BETTER GYM, the manager Sam is wonderful) and we went shopping there where we did some very good bargains ! We went to a wedding celebration which was near and that will ever be a wonderful remember!
Cons: Maybe adding the airconditionning system (when it is needed in summer) in some rooms would be an asset. But fortunately, by opening the windows, the fresh air was coming in very gently, we slept very well.

Pros: The lady in reception did allocate us a different room when were unhappy with original room even though they were fully booked for a wedding.
Cons: The first bedroom i was giving had no window that could open and was very small and clamy. Not what is advertised in photos on this website. Also we could not shower for the 2 days we were there as the shower broken. No way this hotel is a £130 a night hotel. £90 at a push if you got breakfast included.

Pros: The location was excellen
Cons: It should have had a mini fridge
5.0 Okay
Pros: The room and bedroom were adequate size
Cons: Bed and pillows were as hard as rock. Staff could do with some PR tuition. They were friendly but there was no explanation of the facilities or times of breakfast etc. I had paid cash for my stay when I arrived but was asked to pay again when I checked out. Communication was not great. Parking was extra which hadn’t been made clear before booking. I’ve stayed in friendlier hotels.
