Pros: we were attending a family wedding, so being able to stay at this venue made our day and evening more relaxed.
Cons: bed too small
Pros: Good location, beautiful building and relaxed environment
Cons: Room was sizeable and comfortable but in need of upgrade. Broken windows were a concern. Not impressed with food which was so obviously microwaved and let the place down
Pros: The setting was beautiful and the breakfast excellent
Cons: The noise between rooms
Pros: Pleasant breakfast staff, nice food and very comfortable
Pros: Great value for money. Rooms all very well presented and clean. If you can afford to upgrade to a deluxe room then do it - they're even better!
Cons: Our particular bathroom was very small, but I'm sure we could have moved rooms if we'd requested to.
Pros: The friendliness of the staff and the efficient service
Pros: Beautiful grand country house hotel. Stunning scenery. Lovely bathrooms
Pros: Well appointed, excellent location.
Cons: Partition wall in smaller rooms too thin. Noise levels in room were unacceptable as a result. TV sound from next room was intrusive and 'snoring' could clearly be heard through out one night. Plugs and furniture being moved next door were very loud. This resulted in sleep disturbance.
Pros: Very comfortable

Everything was great with the hotel. However, two of the taxi cab drivers ordered from the hotel were very rude. When we complained we were told 'who cares it's not like you're going to see us again, you're only here for the weekend.' I think the management of the hotel should be aware that these cab drivers are talking to hotel customers in such a bad manner.
Pros: Bed sizes, staff, cost, cleanliness
Cons: Room was a bit too warm at night, kept waking up. Would have preferred the air con to be a bit cooler.

This hotel is directly across the street from a large sports stadium (where Newcastle United play). We were not there during a game or large event, so we didn't have to contend with large crowds or anything like that. But this might be something to keep in mind if you are staying here.
Pros: Interior design was very nice and surprisingly upscale. Rooms had very nice amenities, such as a rain shower, heated towel racks, fridge, and microwave. Free and fast WIFI, too.
Cons: Hotel is in need of some upkeep, especially for a place that is aiming to present itself as upscale -- e.g. small but visible water stain in the ceiling of our room and some other minor upkeep issues. Nothing unclean or dangerous though.
