The grounds were excellent The facilities were basic and shared. For the price charged, on suite should be available.
The hotel was quite comfortable, and close to Prudhoe where my husband had to go to on business, and only a few miles from Newcastle Metrocentre for me to go shopping. There had recently been a leak above our bathroom, and it smelt damp. The hotel can't be blamed for that, but it needs to be attended to promptly. I would stay at the hotel again, but I would enquire about that beforehand.
Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Room was beautifully presented and I was pleasantly surprised as the price was very reasonable. I would definitely return again. A hotel bar would have been nice but not a deal breaker as only 5 miles from city-centre
Accommodation was roomy and beautifully maintained. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Probably the best value for money I have ever experienced.
Easy access to city, quiet at night, polite staff. I would like to return in the future for a longer stay
easy reach of many places Nothing
The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly
The room, the quiet, the bathroom. Excellent stay - would definitely go back. would have liked cable/satellite television and digital (or any) radio.
Staff friendly, clean comfortable room at a reasonable rate. No.
The staff were very friendly, made you feel welcome. The hotel room itself was a good size, bathroom was spacious with a huge corner bath. The windows were difficult to open.
what we liked about riding farm was we had great hosts the room was first class the food was good ,it was agreat freindly atmosphere everthing about it was fantastic
Friendly staff, lovely room, superb breakfast
The location of Riding Farm is fantastic only 10 minutes from the centre of Newcastle. Very homely and very restful. Breakfast was wonderful and set us up for the whole day.
Nice location close to major road links very friendly owner comfortable room and good breakfast would stay there again
Well appointed bedroom, ground coffee, fresh milk and chocolates in bedroom, friendly, helpful proprietors, pleasant surrounding countryside, big choice of breakfast. Location is a bit remote, but good directions were given and we did not get lost. There was no sitting room for guests' use.
The accommodation was very good value for money, and exactly where we wanted to be. The owners were friendly and the breakfasts were very good. None
we enjyed the atmosphere of the hotel and the extra touches
Helpful pleasant staff. good breakfast. Hard to find.
Very friendly and cosy and within easy reach of Durham and Newcastle. Lumpy pillows! (Very minor point)
We found it very peaceful with a relaxing atmosphere and a good area for country walks.
Wonderful views from a perfectly appointed bedroom. The bedroom was comfortable and tastefully furnished with delightful en-suite facilities. We were asked to select our breakfast the evening before which ensured that we were served promptly with an excellent, beautifully cooked breakfast the next morning. Local preserves and fresh fruit were also available.
This must be one of the nicest b n b's we have stayed in - we would reccommend it to anyone and intend to stay there again
Leah and Kevin are first class hosts. The accomodation was very clean and comfortable.Beautiful views from our room The Chesters.Superb breakfast served each morning, definitely a return visit for us!!.
It was top quality furnishings. N/A
Well appointed, clean, good service, licenced and evening meals available. Good position for Hadrian's Wall
The setting was superb, the facilities tasteful and the owners most pleasant, without being intrusive.
Everything, It was a wonderful place, wonderful location, fantastic friendly people, and gorgeous rooms. Couldn't believe it was so nice for so little moeny. Nothing, there were literally no problems at all staying here.
Very comfortable. Clean and of a high standard. All the little 'extras' were there, including a bathrobe. Hostess very helpful and friendly. Lovely location
Booking, correspondence, stay and everything about the place was excellent, and the view from the room was incredible. I really can't come up with a single bad thing about this place.
lovely friendly welcome and gorgeous room nothing at all
Nothing We reserved a family room (double and a single). First room they tried to give us was 2 twins in a room without a door knob. Stains on the bed covers and an overall stink. After complaining to the owner they gave us a double with a twin all scrunched into a small room on the 4th floor (no lift).Mind you they said that all the rooms were booked and everyone checked in which was obviously a bald faced lie.
the personnel was really friendly and cooperative. The hotel offered wireless internet, but that did not work. Also, it offered tv, but most channels did not work properly.
The rooms were replenished daily and clened for when i returned and the food for breakfast was spot on. Steve on the bar was very approachable with a smile on his face at all times and when time allowed was willing to have a chat. The two ladies who did Breakfast were also excellent and very friendly and could not do enough for me. So thanks to them. At night time during the week i came down every night to eat but with me not being a great fan of tapas i ate the from the specials board. Unfortunately the special was the same all week and i would of liked a touch of variety. Due to this i went somewhere else for dinner when because of the nature of my visit (business) i would of preferred to stay there as i had lots of studying to do in my room. It would not put me off however as the positives far outweighed the negatives. Keep up the good work i think your on to a winner yours sincerely Graham Macdonald.
The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times.Hotel was basic but clean and very well heated despite the extremely bad weather.Hotel tapas bar great food and good value for money Breakfast finished a little bit to early at nine am.Nine thirty is more appropiate for people on holiday especially in an northern England winter.
The downstairs of the hotel has a warm evening atmosphere and a fun design. The staff are friendly and it is near the river and beautiful bridges. Make sure you ask for one of the new rooms as we were faced with a very small, cold, shabby room and a fold out sofa bed for the same price as the larger, updated rooms with four poster beds! Be sure to check your booking with them twice before arrival as we checked only once and were not put on the booking list.
Reasonable sized room and very friendly staff Restaurant closed earlier than advertised (at 9 instead of 10) so we missed dinner there
Many good points. a friendly welcome, helpful staff, a comfortable bed and the bar was open till late! Only one. The temperature of the shower in my room barely reached tepid. as this was only one night it mattered little to me but worth checking out
Staff friendly and helpful. Very comfortable bed. No toilet roll holder. No bath mat and water tended to go onto floor when showering. It ended up in a pool by the bathroom door.
meal when I went there.that is no heat conditionor during I stay. I feel disappointed with that.
good bedroom, comfy bed, very friendly staff, great breakfast, location of hotel.
Reasonably central to town, good location with regard to other restaurants. The quality of the room was poor, the bed sloped (felt like you where going to fall out), the bathroom smelt (problem with drains venting in), there was no controller for TV (meant using button which difficult since TV six feet in the air), there was little or no parking (had to park on street), etc.
