5.0 Okay
Pros: The view and the location are basically the only interesting aspects of this hotel. I would therefore not recommend a 5-star hotel which doesn’t come with the basics of that level: an outstanding service.
Cons: Breakfast is average, including on the Club floor. You serve yourself your own coffee in a basic machine where it really is bad, they serve industrial juices, the choice is modest and when I asked for a refill of milk for my son’s cereals it never arrived. The facilities in the room are not of the best level either, there is no pool or spa in the hotel, which is quite surprising for a hotel of this level and most of the staff doesn’t speak English. But the worst came on the last day. I check-out in the morning and my flight being at 11.45pm, I left my luggage at the hotel with the intention of getting it back in the evening and taking a little while to arrange one or two things before I left (include a couple of purchases in my luggage and quickly go to the restroom to change to airplane clothing). When I sat at the « Lounge plus » corner in the lobby, I was interested to have a drink after a day in Osakas’’s streets while my 10-year-old son and we would alternate to go to the restroom to freshen up and change. Although we were ordering drinks, a very rude lady at the « Lounge plus » asked us to leave because it wasn’t a waiting room. But we were customers of the hotel, were ordering drinks and weren’t bothering anyone as we were using the restroom to get ready. We were chased a couple of times by the hotel staff within the lobby, can you believe it ? Our presence was probably messing up the uptight atmosphere, I don’t know. When I asked whether we could wait on the Club floor (since we were initially Club floor customers), we were told that we would beed to pay 4500 yen for that ! I simply wanted to make things easier by moving « out of their way ». What do customers do when they have a late flight and get their luggage back ? They grab their luggage and run away ? This is what I asked the front desk manager who, aside from feeling embarrassed, seemed to be highly looking forward to us leaving. I travel extensively and have never felt out of place as I did here !!
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Views of Osaka at night
Cons: We had hoped staying at this hotel would be a real treat to mark the 18th and 21st birthdays of our children and the end of our trip to Japan. We booked into the ‘Summer Buffet’ restaurant but arrived to find there were no fish or vegetarian options (2 of us are pescatarian). Staff were unhelpful and unapologetic and offered no suggestions for alternatives. We ended up eating in the shopping centre below the hotel. We returned hoping to get a drink. My youngest (turning 18 in 2 days) was not allowed in the bar and the lounge was closed (at 10pm). We were told there was nowhere in the hotel we could get a drink. Again no apology. We found the hotel soulless and staff, although plentiful, repeated ‘hello and thank you’ In parrot fashion but gave little individual customer service or care. A huge disappointment and bill. This booking was an expensive mistake.

Cons: The Tennoji station is a bit chaotic and can be confused for foreigners - it is not related with the hotel but it is the only thing we found as less positive.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic views; nice decor in room; big lux bathroom; impeccable service.
Cons: Reserved a room with 3 twin beds that I thought (from pictures) would be equally sized and comfortably spread out in the room. Instead the 3 bed was more like a “luxury” cot or roll away pushed up against the window.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The whole experience.. the staff the welcoming and helpful attitude
Cons: The address of the hotel wasn't clear (it was in the mall)

6.3 Good
Cons: We had three incidents during our four night stay. First, we found a cleaning cloth inside one of our bags! Second, cleaners “accidentally” took my kids AirPods. When we informed the staff that we can see that they are still in the building just not with us, they were found!!! Finally, at check in on ~14:30, we were told that we have to wait 30 minutes for our room; when the staff was pressed, the room (including the extra bed) became ready in a moment!!

Pros: Close to USJ. The outside and lobby of the hotel. Restaurants were available in the hotel and nearby.
Cons: My city view room had a view of a hedge. There was this nasty stained chaise lounge thing in the room that served no purpose. The spot the chaise was in would be better served by putting a table and chairs in its place. Staff was unfriendly and not helpful.

Cons: The hotel doesn't have its own bus stop for the shuttle bus to Kansai international airport. The closest bus stop is at the hotel new Hankyu Osaka. It was only a 5-minute walk, but having its own bus stop would make this great hotel even better.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything especially the dinner. We asked for 1 vegetarian and 1 regular menue and it was amazing. The view from the bath is astonished. Worth the money for sure.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We chose this ryokan because we wanted a full-fledged traditional Japanese ryokan experience. It was that and more - a real luxury experience. We were provided with wafuku, which we wore, and the price included a ten-course delicious dinner of traditional foods. There was an on-site open-air mineral bath. The views were fantastic.
Cons: I liked everything. The only thing that was not as expected, but not a drawback, was how modern everything was. I booked it from a recommendation, so I hadn't looked at the web site or researched it, otherwise I would have known.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located on the halfway of minoo sanso, they have pickup bus from train station hourly, about ten mins driving distance. The staff there are very helpful and friendly. Amazingly food, both breakfast and dinner are surprisingly good! The spa is also brilliant. We booked the Japanese style room, it was a great experience, with a fantastic night view in the room. And I do hope to stay there again on my next trip to Japan.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The people were the loveliest.
Cons: Onsen and ryokan experience may be a novelty for a foreigner. Will help to have a nifty multi-language guide for that! But nothing tourists can't do with research. So no big deal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful staff. Amazing views! Delicious food. The highlight of our trip.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location is very easily accessible from Osaka city center. The free shuttle service is awesome. The onsen is clean and the variety of bath areas added some adventure to our stay. The night view, from our room and from the outdoor bath areas were absolutely spectacular! The lobby and terrace area flow beautifully with the scenery. Food is locally sourced and delicous! Even the treats that came with the tea inside our room are tasty, especially the green tea chocolate. Most of the food items can be purchased from the tiny gift shop beside the reception. We did not see any foreigners and even though there were many visitors to the resort, it was not crowded in the bath areas.
Cons: According to the staff, it costs 1000¥ to check out just an hour late for each guest. We wish there was an option to check in at an earlier time. It is quite expensive.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The service provided by Minoo was really considerate. They provided shuttle buses to and fro from the accommodation. The room was really spacious for the 3 of us and it was really clean. The view from our room was really pretty too! The staff provided great services too, for both check-in, dinner and breakfast.
Cons: Nothing! We missed the shuttle bus but didn’t want to wait so we took a taxi up. It would be even better if they can customized the shuttle bus service timing for their customers.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast very good

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wow!! What an amazing place to stay!! This hotel exceeded our expectations! The size of the room and king size bed were incredible. The pillows were rock hard, but bed was amazing. Bathroom was huge also. Our room over looked Universal Studios and you could hear the people and kids having a great time riding all the rides, it was wonderful. The staff were extremely friendly. The hotel simply stunning! Wifi was excellent and the all you can eat buffet was the best I have ever seen! There is something for everyone to eat there. I ate so much for breakfast during our stay, I skipped lunch everyday lol. The hotel is perfectly placed. Across the road is Universal studios and a mall style area which has plenty of food. From the Hardrock Cafe, Bubba Gump Shrimp company to Raman noodles, there is plenty to eat and do there. The subway station is there also, all across the street from this amazing hotel. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Osaka and I will tell everyone that wants to listen also that this IS the place to stay.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room is large enough and the bed is very comfortable. The view over the amusement park was amazing. We enjoyed the breakfast served in the restaurant at the second floor that had a lot of variety. The hotel is 3 min of walking from the subway station and has also a supermarket in the proximity. Good restaurants opened until late can be found at the exit from the Universal Park which can be accessed in 5 min.
Cons: The staff at the Universal Park Ticket counter inside the hotel wasn’t very helpful and it was difficult to make ourselves understood because of language barrier.
7.5 Good
Pros: The location is excellent! Few minutes walk to Universal Studios and train station. Ferry is right outside the hotel. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance.
Cons: Room was on the small side. Pillows were very hard and uncomfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location... close enough to the train station and universal studios (about 5 minutes on foot)... but not too close that you can still enjoy some quiet, away from the massive crowd of Universal Studios. Rooms are good size with good amenities and staff are very friendly and helpful.
7.7 Good
Pros: Hotel Universal Port is a nice modern hotel catered to families. The minute you walk in your are faced with all types of minion characters as part of the decoration. Our kids loved it. They also have special Minion rooms which we did not know about ahead of time. Staff was professional and attentive. One of the few hotels we could find that could accommodate four people in a room.
Cons: Breakfast buffet was ok. Very little western food. We expected an omelet ststion but they didn't have one. An abundance of Asian food. location of the hotel is out of the way from the center of Osaka so takes a couple of trains to get to Dotonbori but you get used to it.

7.0 Good
Pros: Response by Management about Housekeeping shortcomings were swift & positive.
Cons: We are unhappy with billings. Your rates for 2 rooms (4 pax) = JPY479,412 nett of taxes but the way they billed the 2 rooms are complicated. Requested for their explanation & still waiting... Also, their Housekeepers were not to their mark, until matters were brought up to Management's attention. Disappointed with Front Office lack of records of our previous stays & therefore treated us like newcomers. We were there 4 times over 18 months. Will reconsider revisiting them, no warmth nor genuine about their hospitality.

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, express check-out, and a 24-hour front desk. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
5.5 Okay
Pros: The facility is in a good shape. It is clean.
Cons: We booked our room about 2 months before our checkin date. I checked the price of the same room one day before our checkin and for our stay it was 30% lower price. so, it was overpriced. The double room has only one chair. The second person should sit on the bed. The lobby is always crowded and usually no space to sit down. When I booked my room, 2 months ago, I requested a silent room, however, I received the room near the elevator where everyone passes through and is a noisy region.
7.0 Good
Pros: Facilities met my expectations.
Cons: -
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location, the clean towels, and the free POLA Kalahari facial cleansing products.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient location. Clean and tidy.
Cons: All the front staff are young and probably part-timers, as such there are things they just don't know or rather, haven't been trained in. Upon check-in I was asked to provide a residency card for copying (non-resident foreigners are required to show a passport). A residency card by it's very function shows that the holder has an address in Japan and therefore it is not required under Japanese law to provide any form of identification. Staff need to be trained in this as the residency card contains a lot of personal information that I wouldn't want a hotel keeping for 3 years. We stayed in the middle of the hot humid rainy season, the duvets were thick Winter types. Although the was air-conditioning it was difficult to sleep.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place to stay with a good size room, considering most rooms are quite small in japan. All Staff were great and reception were extremely helpful & spoke really good English which made things easier for us not able to speak Japanese. Close to train station & there is great little bakery nearby. My only criticism is that the Beds were to firm & hard , didn’t sleep well because of this. Otherwise a very nice place .
Cons: Staff and location
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room was great with all facilities you provided. Bathroom was great also we have a good time in there even only one night we will come back to stay with you again when we visit Osaka :) love it !
Cons: Late check in and early check out but mostly hotel in Japan it like that.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: THe excellent place to all the destination within the walking distance to city train.
Cons: I know it is a bit of out of scope, but one of the young staff is not so helpful. I wish he could helping me on another booking confirmation(Kyoto) in Japanese, but he only ask someone who could speak English over(the people speak Japanese) the phone to confirm, it would be rather easier for him help me out. A little bit of disappointing.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, literally 3 minutes from Kitahama Metro Station exit 5. Good sized room for Japan, nice drip coffee, comfortable bed and quiet sound proof rooms. There are nice, tasteful, little restaurants and bars nearby and a 7 Eleven across the road. Helpful English speaking staff. Very well located for Osaka Castle (20 mins door to door) and other main tourist places. We didn't have the breakfast but basic supplies are available across the road and they supply good drip coffee in the room. Would definitely stay here again. You'll be happy here.

Pros: Great location, staff was very nice and helpful. We booked for one night to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. Hotel staff was very helpful and they make some decorations in our room. Also they provided birthday cake for my bf as free. Will book again when I come to Osaka next time.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is clean, most staffs were attentive and helpful.
Cons: My family and I were extremely disappointed of the services provided by the breakfast restaurant. It was poor and much below standard compared to other 5 star hotels. Staff were unfriendly and not helpful, in fact rude to a certain degree. I would not recommend having breakfast or dine at the restaurant. Otherwise services from guest services, front desk and butler services were outstanding.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Vers good hôtel, amazing view and perfect location
Cons: Nothing
4.0 Okay
Cons: Small hotel. Very poor level of service to only serve a very few clients. Our room was extremely small eventhough we paid $800 per new night. Only one restaurant that closes sharply at 10. Quite simple breakfast on s cond day and majorly overpriced. No upgrade is give to Marriot member but everyone know that already. I would not recommend it. You can find a better hotel at leas than half price. Very sad property.
6.3 Good
Pros: The location was perfect. Walking distance to shopping street and Dotonbori. Convenient stores near by, very easy to find something to eat.
Cons: The room was not as clean as it needs to be. There is a tons of dust on top of the refrigerator. There is a food stuck on the carpet in my room, seems like its been there for a long time and can’t be cleaned off (or the housekeeping don’t even try to).

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location just by the metro station and next to the shopping district.
Cons: Additional charge for storing luggage more than 4 hours after check out time. I have never encountered this at any other hotel. If you are a full paying hotel guest with a late evening flight at least you should be able to store your luggage for free until your flight leaves.
7.5 Good
Cons: The response was a little bit late.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Rooms are extremely clean. Excellent location. Nice view. Bathroom facilities good. Staff are polite.
Cons: A bit disappointed that the hotel showed little personal touch. Before arriving hotel, I had informed hotel staff that we chose Japan to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday. I was a little bit surprised that when we arrived, the hotel did not show any signs of noting this special occasion of our family. I am not asking for any "expensive special treatment". But a warm happy birthday greeting to mom, which does not incur any additional cost, will definitely make her very happy. This will also make us feel that we are valued customers of the hotel.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient location and the staff are very helpful
Cons: Not enough lightings in the room
8.3 Excellent
Pros: the breakfast was great!
Cons: had many friends come by to visit and have drinks, but the bar had very limited hours and times.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Nama, easy to to to Dotonbori and to reach restaurants. This area is overly crowded but tourists should head to the most appealing area close to Amerika_Mura.
Cons: Cons Swissotel is conveiently located at Namba station, however bathrooms, elevators, open and public spaces are so generic, outdated and tiring. I felt I was on a 1960s movie. The decor of those areas was not appealing, not welcoming and very bland. I picked the hotel because of the brand and because of the reputation. I was in total mistake. The hotel experience did not impress me at all. After 17 days of travel making my stop in Osaka hotel was very disappointing. The first room given to me was too busy, too small with poor lights, the second room felt like generic motel in MidWest Us. My family saw through video and asked why the decor was so cheap and unspiring. I still don´t have the answer. Upon check in and during concierge chats I was not impressed with the camaraderie or info provided. Their tips were so generic and every other minute was bothered by a group of lousy tourists. Hotel management never showed up to me neither to listen to my reports, only madame Laura who worked in the executive floor .
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location and clean rooms. Great for Dotonbori.
Cons: Small point. Pool separated into walkers, fitness club and hotel guests....with the latter being a single lane for families and everyone else. A bit odd.
7.5 Good
Pros: Excellent services ! Free upgrade room to our family !
Cons: Expensive and small room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location for arriving by train or catching the train to the airport as the train station (and a very good shopping centre complete with supermarket) are in the same building.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were large and very clean. Staff were friendly, helpful and pretty much the best I've had. This hotel is over the train station and staff take your luggage and put it on the train for you!
Cons: nope...loved it all
7.4 Good
Pros: The location is great, it's convenient to almost anywhere including kansai airport
Cons: The hotel is right above the train tracks, my room was in the 16 floor, the noise from train is constantly annoying almost all day except 12AM~5AM, when there are no trains.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location was convenient, though we got a little lost trying to navigate from the midosuji line, but that was just us being noob tourists. After that, it was a breeze locating the hotel whenever we walked around. Staff was really friendly and helpful, no complaints on the service level whatsoever. Lots of places to shop, eat, not just around namba city and all, but outside the building, within walking distance to plenty of restaurants along the pedestrian mall and further down towards Dotonbori as well
Cons: Can be a little misleading in terms of what items in the room are deemed complimentary or chargeable. For example, the coffee and tea, usually it should be complimentary, but there was a bar menu listed, so we had to verify this with the hotel staff (and yes, complimentary unless you ask for extra). A large bottle of water that was placed on the desk, we thought was complimentary, turned out to be chargeable. We tried the hotel breakfast buffet (TAVOLA36) for one day and sad to say, we weren't super impressed with the food, though the view was great. Not to say that the food tasted horrible or anything like that, more like it was average. (the Chinese dough stick and the dim sum has loads of room for improvement though)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I got a lot more than I paid for at Hotel Nikko. The room was comfy with great dimmable lighting, quiet AC, and clean. The staff was incredibly helpful- carrying shopping loot all the way from my taxi to my room, and generally available for any questions I had for them.
Cons: One pet peeve: a power outlet closer to the bed would have been nice, but this was not a problem.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and clean hotel, we stayed at the premium room with 3 beds. Very nice and helpful staff...
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Sometimes it's hard to tell if a room will really be great based on the photos and advertisement, but this hotel was exactly what they advertised and we felt so happy and comfortable. The room was excellent with an amazing view and everyone was terrific with customer service. The location was also perfect and extremely convenient. We were able to walk around and explore, plus easily get to the subway. I highly recommend this hotel and I would happily stay here again.
Cons: I did pay more than I wanted to, but I would say it was definitely worth it.
7.5 Good
Pros: Great location, nice staff

7.1 Good
Pros: Location and size of the room
Cons: Had to pay for the fitness center
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Located literally next to Osaka's Sky Tower and rotating garden/restaurant. Not far from Umeda station as well. Hotel is also very nice, but best of all was the service, which was impeccable.
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast not up to the expectation of a 5 star hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I chose the Westin as I arrived in Osaka via the Shinkansen from Kyoto and was leaving via Itami the following day. Firstly the trip to Itami on my way out was short, like amazingly short (perhaps traffic was not bad at 11 am) it took about 30 minutes. The staff were great and had a taxi ready for me in the morning. Oh and there is a 7-11 steps from the lobby! Check-in was super, I arrived early and they held my bags as I went out to see the city. This was a seamless process. The lobby was beautiful with fresh flowers and comfy seating. I stayed on the executive floor. It was a great size, and the house keeping was impeccable, fresh and crisp. The view was impressive! The air conditioner was great! I had room service late and it came quickly. At all times in the hotel, the staff spoke impeccable English and were kind and polite with my attempts at Japanese.
Cons: My only complaint- As I was waiting for check-in after returning from Osaka proper, I ordered champagne in the lounge. It took a while and then they brought me a wet looking condensed over bottle and showed it to me. Then they poured it and it did not bubble. I should have complained, I did not, I just said thank you and drank it. I ordered another and I watched them open the bottle this time (behind the bar). This one was bubbly and fresh, even the poor waitress couldn’t hide how yummy and fun it looked compared to the previous …..
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It’s one if the nicest hotel room we stayed in Japan with reasonable room rate. Staff are great. very close Umeda building with lots of restaurants under this building.Overall, the Westin took care of us pleasantly.
Cons: The construction at the back of it that leads to Osaka Station. A bit of an eye sore this construction.
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: The room was not cleaned everyday. They didn’t give us fresh towels even though every morning we put the towels on the bathtub as it said ok the sign. The room want clean enough there was dust literally everywhere.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Based alongside the Sky Tower location was excellent. Room was lovely and the view amazing. Teppanyaki Restaurant experience was great. Our chef was very good and the food delicious.
Cons: Staff not too attentive. Sadly our second experience in the hotels Japanese restaurant was disappointing. Ordering our food proved difficult with two young waitresses who hardly spoke English were unable to take our order.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice lobby , clean rooms friendly stuff great location
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Overall a very nice hotel, club lounge was good with alcoholic drinks most of the day including champagne
Cons: Air con was weak even after asking maintenance to look at it club lounge breakfast was not great better in main restaurant
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff and customer service was amazing. Our booking confirmation and all questions emailed prior were answered thoroughly in English. My brother and I don’t speak Japanese well but the staff spoke English as well. They were welcoming and helpful. Location was great, close walk to train station. Would stay there again.
Cons: I wish I could have paid for the room online and paid just the local tax at the hotel if needed instead of just reserving with a credit card.
7.5 Good
Pros: The hotel was very luxurious and the views from the room over the river were top. Plenty of bars and restaurants in the hotel.
Cons: Don't order dinner in the room: options are very limited and excessively expensive. They did not let us check-in 30 minutes earlier. It was far from the metro station.
7.5 Good
Pros: The room was quite large, the bathrooms were large and comfortable with the toilet and shower area separated from the sink and dressing area which made it very convenient for two people to get ready at the same time. Also large surround mirrors above sink were great! Room lighting was great with convenient controls and nightlights under the nightstands.
Cons: Bed was hard as a rock even for someone who is used to a firm mattress. Breakfast was just okay for the price 32.00 USD!

Cons: Well, I don't really enjoy the smell of lilies. they had a really large lily display at the lobby and it was beautiful but the smell was a bit too much but I think it's just that I dont like lilies. So this is the one fault I can find with the hotel, location cleanliness staff everythin else was really excellent
