Summary of reviews

Guests say
Guests appreciated the great location of the hotel, being right inside the park and close to various amenities and trails. However, many expressed dissatisfaction with the cleanliness of the facilities and the quality of customer service. Issues like dirty bathrooms, uncomfortable mattresses, and inadequate heating in tents were frequently mentioned. Overall, while the setting is beautiful, the hotel needs improvements in service and maintenance to enhance the guest experience.

Cons (-) Tried to cancel due to COVID closures and the company I reserved through, Cancelon, was no longer in business. I am still trying to get refunded almost a thousand dollars for the trip I was unable to take and was unable to cancel. My credit card company reported that I have already received services even though Curry Village was not open to stay there. Extremely frustrating

Pros (+) It is close to a lot of trailheads and you are right in the center of the park which is ideal.
Cons (-) The price for what you get is not always the most affordable. The facilities could use a renovation.

Pros (+) Great location next to a view of Half-dome itself and trails leading to Vernal Falls, Nevada Falls, Mono lake. Showers, bathrooms, Dining Hall, Swimming pool were also great amenities. Special shout-out to the gear shop giving great advice on hiking and the trails near by. My son and I stayed in a WOB which was great. The only issue was the state of the mattress. The wire framing was even in the m...

Pros (+) Great location and friendly staff. It was convenient in the Valley, huge grounds with easy access to amenities.
Cons (-) The floors were dirty and so were the bathrooms but the worst was the "heated" tent. We booked and paid for a heated tent but the heated tents have open air flaps so the heat wouldn't stay in the room. In 19 degree weather its not comfortable at all to say the least. There are only thin blankets provided, we bought thermals, but it just wasn't enough. We checked out a day early because we didn't w...

Pros (+) Basic, a step up from camping in a world class setting
Cons (-) Despite the expected austerity, it isn't necessary that mattresses by old, lumpy and uncomfortable. This could be improved.

Pros (+) Good location to be close with nature and still able to find some decent food at the facilities.
Cons (-) We stayed at the non-heating cabin with the weather drpped to 20s F at night but still feel comfortable in a double sleeping bed. Short walk to use the restroom and to take shower.

Pros (+) Curry Village is a great way to go camping if you are not really into the whole tent and sleeping bag thing. Curry Village has several places to eat a healthy meal after a long days hike or fuel up for the next days hike. Prices are totally reasonable in the dinning hall and the little grocery store. Bathrooms are clean and plenty of them, ditto for the showers. I'd stay there again.
Cons (-) There are a lot of tented cabins and they are close to each other. Great little village, just cross your fingers that your neighbors don't snore. yikes.
