We were on the tarmac in Abidjan for almost an hour, before we were informed that there were some technical issues. We were told it was a minor issue, until clearly it was a large enough issue as a lot of time passed by. Air stopped flowing so many passengers including myself became uncomfortably hot and dehydrated. The flight attendants only came down the aisle once with water, which was not considerate enough given that the air stopped flowing. Finally close to two hours later passengers we instructed to disembark without mention of how long the wait would be. We re-boarded the flight after about an hour and only then were informed that there was not enough power to fly the plane. Once we took off the air flow returned and the flight overall was pleasant. While safety of course is a priority, especially for a long overnight flight, communication could have been much better."

A day later they called to tell me the bag arrived, when I asked for them to deliver it they were very apprehensive and upset because they were not sure how they would organize this. No voucher was provided for this inconvenience and the customer service was sub part. Will not fly KQ in the future unless the airline makes a gesture to rectify this."

They knew the plane was late and connections had been missed. They should have called in another gate agent or two. And lastly, when I requested compensation through the online "disrupted complaints" link, they were unresponsive. Terrible."

Ce qui était marrant ces collègues étaient complices. J’ai dû hausser le ton et l’insulter proprement. Mon adrénaline a monté. Trop de corrompus et moins de gens intègres dans vos rangs que ce soit à Cotonou et surtout à Accra. My Ethiopian flight was cancelled without Kayak informing me. I found out through my sister who picked the same flight via Expedia. When i informed Kayak, they failed to put me on another flight…stating they are waiting to hear back from Ethiopia airlines. After receiving no response for 2 weeks, I asked Kayak for a refund. And again, no response. Thus, I had to call my credit card company to dispute the transaction. Thank you chase for being understanding. However, I DO NOT recommend flying with Ethiopian airlines or booking through Kayak. Terrible customer service especially when it entails refunding people their money.
There is no food or entertainment on such a short flight. The crew was fast and efficient. The one thing you should know is it is open seating so ignore your boarding pass seat number and sit where you like.

The seat was incredibly dirty and beat up. To pay so much money for such a disregard for customers career and safety was quite troubling to me. This flight too had no air conditioning going at all. From boarding to the 45-minute flight my mother and I, as well as the other passengers including babies were sweating. Customers should not have to deal with such things people can get severely ill. This is beyond unsafe for customers and the staff. I am not sure who is responsible for this situation but I am not okay with it."

The flight was well over two hours late (for a 40-minute flight, this was frustrating and completely unexplained by the crew). We had to be transported by bus to the plane and that was another hour-long process with very little apology from the overworked and overwhelmed staff. Ethiopian Airlines and ASKY appears to be a bargain in terms of price but I would be highly unlikely to use them in the future after such a disappointing introduction. I’m sure they lost several dozen repeat clients because of the disorganized nature of their transfers from Newark and the nonchalant attitude of their staff. I would not recommend this, especially for elderly and disabled passengers or families with young children."

The airplane was a 737 that had seen some time in the sky so it was showing wear. Also, no entertainment; personal or public. The crew was super nice and it was a shorter flight so that was good.

Note that they don't allow you to bring beverages bought at the airport, post-security check, onto the airplane. My seat was dirty from the prior flight when I got there. The steward came over and wiped it down with a wet wipe. We used the blanket to cover the middle seat as it was just as dirty. The food is barely edible, the movie selection is poor. They didn;t hand out any of the normal arrival forms for the US."

In addition to a high level of confusion and duplication around the release of liability forms I had to sign, there were also some unfortunate attempts by a (male) flight attendant to place a blanket between my pelvis and the seatbelt. No doubt these attempts were well intentioned, but it made me very uncomfortable. In the future, asking passengers if they would like a blanket for this purpose would be a much better practice."

First person told me my ticket is not business class, without even hearing out what the problem is. Second person told me to go to another counter. When I went there, the third person told me they only process passengers flying to Russia, again refusing to listen to what I have to say, and then direct me back to the second person. After that, second person confirmed that the 3rd person is responsible. So I went back, the third person finally decided to listen and told me to wait for their supervisor. I stood there for 40 minutes. The whole thing is extremely unprofessional."

Cons: "After arriving to Malaga airport to go home at the business class check in desk we were informed that the flight from Casablanca to jfk was canceled so they won’t let us on the Malaga Casablanca flight. I was very surprised as I didn’t get any alerts and I called the airline and everything seems to be on time and not canceled. We went to customer service of air moroc and after hour long investigation we found that that the flight wasn’t canceled but the airline didn’t want us in Casablanca to get on that flight because they gave our business class seats to other people. we called and complained but there was nothing we could do because we were blocked from flying and they wouldn’t board us. The computer system didn’t allow them. We asked if we were on the flight the next day and they couldn’t confirm. We were told that in 3 days we could get on a flight back to nyc. We bought separate last minute super expensive tickets from another airline and left that evening to Madrid, got a hotel there and left the next morning to Atlanta and then jfk. No one from the airline wanna help us and rebook the tickets. People over the phone were contradicting people at the Malaga airport. It was a nightmare."

The trash had been picked up, but there was spilled food all over, like no one ever wipes things down in the procès of cleaning. No soap in the bathroom either. The Dakar airport isnt ready to open yet. Jet bridges aren’t working, they couldn’t find a stair to fit the plane for a while. Luggage is piled all over the terminal. Half the luggage from the plane arrived promptly, the other half took 45 minutes."

Cons: "I missed the flight because I couldn't hear the announcement and because, as it was for the other flights, there was no notice of embarcation. They were no help in being able to provide a solution. I was told to call my booking agent which was in the US; I asked where could I get a calling card they told me, and I kid you not, that I could ask the janitorial crew to go outside to get me a card if I wanted to call. If it was for them, I would have stayed in the airport until I died they wouldn't have cared. I have traveled a bit and I don't think I've ever experienced something like that. I am from a under developed country, so I do understand low quality of service but this is just a matter of being human. Thanks to my friends and family in the US and via internet access I was able to purchase another ticket since I was told that because my ticket couldn't be refunded (???) I couldn't simply pay a penalty and be placed on the next flight. If you are someone of African ascendance and do not want to be treated like fecal matter in human form, avoid that airline. My great aunt is from Maroc and she's an amazing person. I guess they don't make them like that in Maroc anymore."

Since it seemed no one was informed, the security check and on boarding took almost an hour and a half to go through. I was very surprised at the lack of communication and would appreciate that for future trips. At this time, I would think twice before booking another trip with this company."

The air on the plane was not up enough so it was incredibly HOT the entire flight. In fact, there was a baby across the aisle screaming the entire flight because she was overheating. The crew did nothing to help the situation and were only around to deliver food/drinks and that was about it. There was no entertainment so that made the flight even more unbearable. I have asthma and am allergic to cigarette smoke and someone was CLEARLY smoking on board the plane somewhere but the crew did nothing about that either. The crew was significantly more rude on this leg from CMN to CKY and I am not sure if they feel this is acceptable because of their destination but I can tell you that it is NOT! Everyone on board is a paying customer and deserves the same respect. Also, please do not assume that everyone on board speaks the same 2 languages."

Cons: "The plane was eventually delayed by two hours (incrementally, of course) with staff on the ground not only making zero effort to provide an explanation, but, additionally, when asked, they were incredibly rude. One young lady in particular rolled her eyes and indicated that we should look at the screen when we asked what time we should leave - eventually she was so rude to customers with children who were complaining about the delays that she got up and walked away from her post at the gate. Her colleagues later suggested that if people wanted to complain they should walk to a destination within Tunis airport that ultimately had no representatives - let alone facilities - through which we could lodge our complaints about the lack of communication with passengers who are paying for such shoddy service."

This glight costed 200eur for a one way flight that lasted 40minutes between sicily and tunis. This company is a shame for the country!"

Have to go across airport and line up at cashier's and then come back to checkin. Ridiculous arrangement. Same with 'exit stamp' for residents. Queue up at immigration - get to window - told need stamp costing TND 60 which can only be bought at one of the banks out the front of the airport (for cash). No bureau de change through security for changing Tunisian dinars and cannot use these at duty free Then departure lounge was suddenly changed at last minute Then at departure lounge entry was at a snail's pace as there was no X-ray machine and security was hand checking every single piece of carrying luggage and patting you down (with the male security guard watching the female security guard do this to female passengers, with interest - yuck) Landed late No understanding of, or interest in, special dietary requirements (on board staff) - mostly my fault as I had forgotten I needed to let them know before that I was vegan - but there was little interest or sympathy from the cabin crew. Indeed they said they said something like they sometimes had extras for themselves and they'd check - but then forgot about me. Did they not have them or wat them thrnsrlves? And then going to the bathroom all the cabin staff were sitting/standing in a circle, chatting and laughing and in the way of opening the bathroom door which was awkward for me and unprofessional of them. There was no suggestion of any radio or movie on board. I would NOT fly this airline again."
