Hundreds of gates and we had to ride a bus out to the plane. Airline kept complaining to passengers that they didn't have enough personnel. Flight was late! Given totally incorrect information about luggage retrieval in Chicago. Not required! Waited 45 minutes for luggage that was not there and was supposed to be headed to Houston but did not arrive there either. Still waiting..."

Cons: "Our flight from Tel Aviv on Lufthansa was 20 minutes late. We only had 40 minutes for our connection in Frankfort but made it to the gate 5 minutes early. The gate was closed 10 minutes early and they would not let us on. There were 17 of us, 10 of which were children. They would not let us on BUT we’re able to spend 30 extra minutes at the gate, not on the tarmac, to remove all of our luggge off the plane. It would of taken them less than 10 minutes to let us in the flight. I don’t even know what to say about the complete lack of any competence."

Pros: "Lufthansa, always competent and pleasant. Everything works well. Very reliable. Business Class seats are competent. No complaints. Not overly plush but everything works. Same with the service. If consistency is what you’re looking for then Lufthansa can’t be beat. It’s the Lexus of the airline industry. Not Mercedes or Rolls Royce though."
Cons: "The food is never exceptional on Lufthansa. No low carb or low fat alternatives. Heavy cream is a hallmark. Again, Noor exceptional but good enough. Here, I think American, Delta and United have done a better job recently."

Pros: "The flights were lovely, the food was very good (for airline food), the drinks were generous - even the cheap seats were offered wine or cocktails! And after dinner were served coffee with Bailey's or cognac. Hot towels were provided. I would seek out a Lufthansa flight again."

Cons: "the second leg from FRA to BUD entailed a massively disorganized, no queue control free for all to go through the boarding gates, all of which just led to an overcrowded bus.... which meandered through the airport to your jet on the tarmac.. they then allowed boarding from either rear or front of plane which of course lead to the throngs meeting in the middle and trying to squeeze past each other... horrible. Then... the checked bag did not make it to Budapest as they forgot to transfer it in FRA. so, yeah all in all it was a cheap flight and we got what we paid for."

Pros: "Had really less than an hour to pass through immigration and catch a connecting flight to Rome. In particular I thought my bag would not make the connection, and as I was going on to Perugia that evening and it would have been a big mess. At check-in for the Rome flight, the LH lady was able to confirm my bag was already aboard which put me at ease. It came through very quickly in Rome and I arrived in Perugia on time and with my bag! Food from Bogota was tasty and there was a complimentary snack on flight to Rome."

Cons: "i could bring checked baggage from Bos-fra, fra-cdg, cdg-fra but it was taken from me on fra-bos flight as being too big! bag came out very late on baggage claim food was poor, they ran out of food, it was served late in my section and there was no choice left. one option only which i could not eat."
