Very crowded, no real explanation of food "chicken or pasta?" After dinner no drinks service. Plane was clean, but little help with finding soaces fir luggage to get into overhead bins. Many passengers putting 2 bags, hats, duty free in overhead bins so no space for roll ons
I ordered short ribs for main course. It tasted sweet, really sweet. Horrible.
When Stephen arrived with our wheel chairs - we were in excellent hands! He was such great help with getting our rental car and then reporting our missing luggage. When you are exhausted from traveling for too many hours, he was just what we needed to navigate everything! Give that guy a raise!
Surly rude flight attendants. I ordered the chicken and was given a vegetarian meal with no explanation and no opportunity to change it. I tried to order another beverage and was told by the young humorless flight attendant to “wait”. And she never came back. The seats were very uncomfortable and cramped. The last time I flew British Airways was many years ago but I remember it was amazing and the crew were very charming. This was a terrible disappointment given the cost of the flight.
I have something to say about the flight I took from London to Gothenburg, after my flight from Austin to London. I fly a lot and have done so for decades. I first flew to Scandinavia in 1973. My former wife is Norwegian. The main thing was the experience at the Gothenburg airport. Three flights from Britain arrived around the same time. So there were huge lines at immigration since Brits are no longer a part of the EU. After over an hour in line, I finally gave my passport to the immigrations man. You’d have thought I was an Afghan. I just barely got into Sweden. I had to answer all kinds of blunt questions. I had to show all kinds of onward tickets, addresses of places I’d be staying and it was pretty daunting. Perhaps it has to do with the situation with Russia. British Air might have done something to prepare people that things have changed a lot and they’d better be ready to run the gauntlet when trying to get into the country here. I’m appreciative that the crews were polite. I didn’t eat the food due to my nutrition plan.
Missed our connection, lost our luggage. Never fly BA again.
We have a lot to say when BA cancelled our flight the last minute and put us on Air France’s already overbooked flight; and took no responsibility to ensure we are safe and met our travels. It’s day 2 and we have not reached our final destination yet. BA took no responsibility, but were happy to keep the money! If it were not for third party ground staff at Dallas BA we would have not gotten to India. BA has a lot to answer!
Maybe less gate changes for connecting flight; which almost made me miss my second flight even though I had 3 hrs layover.
I upgraded to premium economy for better seat with more room. However, dinner service did not have enough food to serve the last row of premium. I ended up with economy meal however I paid for an upgrade meal. Very disappointed. Same issue with breakfast snack, the entire row A, b, C, D seats did not receive any morning coffee or tea. My money was easily spent but I did not receive the benefit expected from the cost.
