Then long delay because the baggage ground crew messed up and again according to the pilot "we apologize for the ground crew's failure to do their job properly and some baggage wasn't loaded properly." Once we landed we had like 20 minutes to go through security AGAIN and nearly missed the final flight to our Seattle destination. No mention of local time upon landing, no one at gate to direct lots of people rushing for connections."

I had to go through border control (and relevant queues), running up and down multiple never-ending multiple escalators, then take a train to change terminal only to find out the gate had been changed to the furthest one in the terminal. I literally RAN all the way from deplaining to boarding. It was a night mare. I would have missed my flight if I had walked instead of running"

I felt uncomfortable with his behavior and the way it was managed by just telling him not to do that. I asked for a different seat but wasn't moved. For the price I paid for the seat and his behavior of taking up my spot and the empty spot in between us (he took up 2 chairs because he was laying down to sleep) I was very disappointed and uncomfortable during the flight."

However, this international flight only had american plugs so anyone without an adapter was SOL. I tried to watch the large screen at the front of my section but they showed the movie Lion that is in Hindi and therefore had subtitles and I couldn't read the words from 12 rows back. The boarded process is like a cattle call. DO NOT FLY UNITED!!! I thought I was flying Lufthansa but it was a bait and switch situation."

After we found a United rep and started walking towards the gate we came across the passport control area that had a huge crowd waiting in line. I saw that we literally had 15 min left, while the long line would take us 20-25 min to get through. We had to jump through the lines and cut in front of people explaining everybody our predicament and making people upset. Got back stressed and tired"

We called your customer service, and a recording stated that we would get a reply within 48 hrs. We contacted website customer service and it stated that we would get a reply within 48 hrs. We needed immediate assistance from a HUMAN BEING to change our reservation, that was impossible. We were forced to purchase new tickets, the cost was $2,500, we had to stay overnight in a nearby hotel, the cost was $220. We are returning one day later than planned all because we could not reach you."

Cons: "Traveled with elderly father...all great until Boston Logan Airport. Wheel chairs supposedly went to wring gate. 5 or 6 needed chairs. Waited min of 10-15 minutes standing!!! My father requested to use bathroom... Boston Lufthansa staff refused to let him step back in plane leaving him standing and very uncomfortable!!! Staff on plane and others applauded at how poorly handled this was. Then finally got chair.. At end of ramp saw a min of 4 chairs and 3 people doing nothing... Still had 4 or 5 people waiting for assistance. Our assistant did not speak English... Or minimal... I told him where we needed to go for scheduled bus he did not listen... Dropping my Dad a significant distance from where I told him... He refused to take him there. Other wheel chair person was dropped there.. So not out of range... But found out they were dropped at wrong stop too!!! However... I believed that most was Logan's fault... But the lack of compassion on Boston Lufthansa was very upsetting to all... But .. Still believe Lufthansa is a wonderful airline and I will in time try to forgive that agent."

THEY TOOK OUT ALL OF MY HOUSE, AND CAR KEYS , AND MY REMOTE CONTROL FOR MY PICKUP, (ALL ON ONE RING), AND DID N O T PUT THEM BACK INTO MY BAG. Cons: "I am writing to you because of the poor service that I experienced with your Operations Manager in Vienna, Paola Contestabile. I travel internationally four to five times a year for the past decade and I have never had such awful service as for my Lufthansa Flight 2329 on Jun 14th under confirmation #62RZK3. I was on my return flight to the US with the exact same carry on baggage that I had left the US with a week earlier- a roller carry on and a backpack for my laptop. This is my standard everywhere in the world that I travel and have never had an issue. I bought a painting on my trip and checked it in. With regards to my carry on, Ms. Contestabile was insistent that I could only have one piece for carry on. I told her to get the baggage rules and I would read them to her. I am a trained lawyer and value the meaning of words and rules. I explained that I am allowed one carry on and a personal item. She argued that my backback is not a personal item and that only a "laptop" is a personal item. I again explained that my personal item was my laptop bag, the same way a purse is a personal item for a lady. She finally relented and allowed me to pass through security and passport check. I assumed that this was the end of her confusion. Little did I expect that while sitting by the gate waiting to board the plane, Ms. Contestabile would emerge again and declare in front of all of the passengers that I would not be allowed to board the flight if I did not check my backpack. I told her this is unacceptable, since she had already cleared me. She said she had changed her mind. I found this response to be ridiculous. When I asked to speak with her manager, she refused to allow it, stating "I am the manager today." Ms. Contestabile even went to the pilot of the plane and convinced him that I was a "safety concern" because I wasn't following her ridiculous interpretation of the rules. This is a pure abuse of power and a threat to true safety when a ground crew member can make such a false and baseless accusation. Luckily, a woman passenger overhearing Ms. Contestabile told me that she could not believe the way she was treating me and offered to carry my bag for me. I am requesting a formal investigation into her actions and appropriate disciplinary procedures to ensure Ms. Contestabile is not allowed to threaten another passenger again."

The booking experience was easy, but the important note I want to make was during a large Colorado snowstorm where flights were being cancelled, I was able to proactively re-book my ticket with the help of Airfare.com customer service. Though it was complicated, I want to make sure Airfare.com gets credit for doing a good job."

Pros: "The very best experience. The decor calming, great seats. "On board Chef " , great food. Staff very attentive, polite and always smiling. They exuded a joyful atmosphere and seemed like never sat down! This was the third leg of our long trip and they made it so enjoyable.. That is a lot as a passenger is quite tired and possibly irritable by this time. This was an Austrian Airline flight and we were really blown away.. I also give kudos to management for having staff that is so efficient, hardworking and yet so joyful!"

I had to run to catch the flight to Bucharest. At CDC there were only two custom officers for checking passport of EU citizens, on a Saturday morning with hundreds and hundreds incoming travelers. On top of it, one female officer was rude. Typical french :("

I was carrying a back pack and a small purse strapped across my shoulder which was maybe 4"x6". He shouted at me after I had handed in my ticket and started down the gangway that my purse needed to be in my backpack. I have never heard of such a thing in all my years of travel. I complied and started to put my purse into my backpack when he shouted at me "Ms. Derbyshire get back here now! You cannot be past the counter!" Your employee was rude, hostile and made me very upset as well as the other passengers waiting to board. Later other passengers who witnessed the event told me how upset they were. Sadly this is not the first time I have had issues with United. Clearly this type of behavior is in your culture. There is no need to shout at anyone."

Cons: "Seat was inoperable and frozen in upright position in business class cabin. Last to order entree had only 2 of 7 choices remaining and fish was extremely unappetizing presentation."

Cons: "Multiple delays labeled "operational delays" ended up "canceled due to weather" even though there was no weather anywhere sin the country at the time. Our plan was at the gate from the night before but they just didn't have crew to operate the planes."

Pros: "The crew to LA was nice! The crew to Houston seemed tired and needed a break or some days off. Or maybe the just got back to work and weren't ready."
Cons: "United is a pretty decent airline. What they probably DON'T have control over is so many children on a flight. I understand that, but honestly the flight to Houston sucked with whiny kids. What they CAN control is the overbooking of flights. I notice that the flights to LA are often overbooked. It's a bit annoying when waiting to board a flight and constantly seeing the overbooked notification asking people to volunteer their seat. It's not the first time."

Cons: "Flight was delayed by more than an hour due to maintenance issue which could have been avoided."

Cons: "While happy to have pilots concerned about my safety, it was frustrating to suffer thru 2 different mechanical delays. The first one was a missing rivet - which turned out to be so bad they had to put Us in a different plane. Then, that plane developed some mechanical/software issues as we were taxing. My 3-hour flight turned into a +5.5 HR endeavor. When you are on 2 broken planes in a row with the same airline you start to to wonder about how well they are maintaining their equipment. I feel like I deserve more than a "sorry" for the use of my extra time, but no credit or flight certificate was forthcoming."

Cons: "First of all I've taken quite a few trips and i normally fly Southwest. Southwest service is always great. I had change of plans and hadon't to fly delta; the crew and the pilot were very rude. I was in the lobby area and i was standing when the pilot of Delta passed by he bumped me and literally growled at me, the boarding process a crew member became frustrated with a family boarding. The plane ride was uncomfortable i am 6'3" tall and had no leg room or shoulder room."

Cons: "I was stuck with commercials for direct tv, two feet from my face the whole trip. I would push the button to turn tv off but it would come back on less than five minutes latter. I had my head phones in listening to personal device but was still distracting. speaker for announcements were extremely loud. the poor lady next to me would jump and then plug her ears. question, if you are allowed one carry on and one personal bag, why do you only have space for a third of the passengers to stow said bags?"

Pros: "Great flight good service friendly staff great price"

Cons: "I am almost always cold. Not so on this flight. The temperature on the plane was so miserably hot that I had sweat pouring down my face. Everyone around me was trying to open their air vents to get more cool air and/or fanning themselves. I asked the flight attendant about it and he said that the plane was just old and it would cool off eventually. It did, about 20 minutes before they cut the air down again for landing. By the time I got off the plane I was nauseated from the heat and stale air. It will be a long time before I fly United again if this is any indication of the condition of their planes."

Pros: "United airlines seems no better or worse than most major airlines today."
Cons: "I am fed up with the herding mentality by most airlines. Since when did purchasing an economy seat mean you are not entitled to at least a modicum of comfort on a flight. The legroom provided now is no where near enough for any normal size human. Additionally it's still annoying to pay $25.00 for a single checked bag. I tried United after many years but will be returning to Southwest Airlines - in the long run it's less expensive. I realize nothing will change based on my opinion, regardless, it is more comfortable and dignified to take a Greyhound bus than to fly a major airline these days."

Cons: "Boarding was a mess, nobody knew what line to join. Better airlines don't have lines at all. The worst issue was that the economy section was very cramped compared to other airlines."
