Ahmedabad airport is ill equipped to handle international flights. From check in to security, it is highly inefficient and disorganized. When the flight had technical problems there were no jet airways gate agents to help passengers rebook on site or answer questions with proper information- they passed that responsibility on to ethihad airlines in Abu Dhabi- since I missed my connecting flight, my original 10 hour journey turned into a 22 hour ordeal.
The cabin crew were inattentive. Call buttons went unanswered or were deliberately left.
The service was basic.
The crew allowed economy class passengers to continuously use our business passengers toilets and spaces, frequenting my space which was an annoyance.
The toilet I used were a total wreck with cabinet panel doors left open. On a second visit it was all too apparent that someone had urinated all over the commode and the open panel door. Ridiculous is an understatement !
Not enough due courtesy or cooperation was extended to us the business class passengers when we were trying to stow away our hand luggage.
To serve a plate of open mixed nuts then take off is a nonsense as I saw how those plates slid off and caused messes on passengers within my view.
The business class seating did not recline enough.
The entertainment on offer was totally substandard for the well travelled international passenger whom is woed by other carriers. On my return trip there was no entertainment at all on offer, very strange. Biman is a joke !!!
The very dated aircraft interior left everything to be desired. I have deliberately kept many snapshots as evidence.
Business class passengers pay that extra for a reason. The whole compliment of passengers for the entite plane were boarded and unboarded through our cabin areas, totally unacceptable and unjustified.
The time I tried to purchase two on board duty free items, surprise surprise, yet again was told some nonsense and it was yet again another negative an experience.
So overall, I will endeavour never ever to make the mistake of flying with any such substandard an airline whom a-z seem to be either be guided by or employ "clowns" whom are not in touch with the realities and ongoing standards being maintained by other carriers.
Meal and snack was tasty and piping hot. Plane was brand new 737-800 in great shape. Entertainment system worked as described although there were some glitches with movie playback and the Moving Map program. The flight departed BKK on time! Crew were pro and attentive.
Bit of a hard landing in Dhaka, but maybe that's how the pilots have to do it?
We hit bad turbulence just up from Calcutta. But the pilot used his skills to get us to a new altitude and the flight smoothed out. Kudos to the captain and his crew. Good job.....................I don't like that we paid good money for the flight and flew on a Bombardier Dash-8 rather than a Boeing 737-800 like on the way to Calcutta.
Snack was really bad (white bread, mystery filling) and some dry cake. They could do better. Maybe shingara or chanachur, or even peanuts. Or even potato chips.............I liked that the flight departed on time.
Staff, both onground and in the air, gave EXCELLENT service
9W has unfortunately started acting as a cheap, low-cost airline now. Food sucked big time both quality and quantity wise; had to pay for a normal seat; the quality and maintenance of the 777 is terrible; seats caused back aches for 3 days; didn't even get an aerobridge ... Jet Airways stingily chose a remote parking stand! It took 50 mins to deplane after landing (to go from the parking stand to the terminal) at CSIA Airport.
Once KLM starts its Dreamliner 787 service non-stop Amsterdam to Mumbai from Oct-2017 onwards, I will rather pay a few bucks more and fly with KLM themselves, instead of this crappy airline
The boarding process went well and was organized. The cabin staff was welcoming and very presentable. The seats were fine, even in economy. The uniforms on the cabin staff were attractive andnthey looked well on the girls. The staff, both male and female, were friendly and pleasant. The flight was fine, a little late, but not the fault of the airline. I would fly this airline again.
It was barely two hours and that kept me from having to go to a Malaysian hospital.
Having Multiple Sclerosis & extreme neuropathy plus being postop with two major abdominal surgeries just weeks before, I called customer service and they guaranteed my medical needs would be met at the gate. They were not and not having a bulkhead seat on the first 2 hour leg from Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur caused me massive pain and circulatory issues - in spite of surgical note requiring it. Not good assistance over phone or in Bangkok.
Dreadful food in business for a dinner flight. Plastic wrapped pieces of white bread with mysterious 3 mm thick substance inside.
Pilot apparently aborted landing and did a go around with 45 degree steep turn with extreme nose up attitude. Wow. No explanation of any kind.
Seats are worn out in business class.
Strong cigarette smoke like stink in cabin. Apparently results from heating elements in oven.
Flight staff sprays fumigation bomb inside cabin. Mosquitoes in cabin were robust and impossible to kill. They seem to like.
The terminal we were waiting in, not organised well, very messy, smelling very bad except in lounge that Cost 40$ for 2 hours with discount. So I'm having a layover 12 hours, I pay 240$ just I can sit in a non smelling place and eat some food. Adjust some of these and would be great. Other terminals have so much to offer in same airport, over rated Dubai airport.
Excellent service all around, much better than the Air Asia experience. Excellent complimentary food packet was a surprise.
Entertainment system is a mess. Even if paid service, the touch screens do not work and worse, they are energy inefficient with the screens HOT to the touch. Doubt they make any revenue to recoup the investment.
