Poor communication from boarding staff, airport staff not a clue. Communication on board was un decipherable and airline lost baggage.
Not the best crew. Extremely annoying with mask wearing. Even when I was eating and drinking they would come up to you to tell you to wear your mask. Extremely annoying.

People seated all the way in the back should be allowed to board first and fill the plane back to front. Comfort - Window seats are too hot, middle aisle seats are too cold 3. Thankfully they do have halal offering. Now if they will even let me choose that I am allergic to seafood. Glad for the chicken. Both times they read my boarding pass wrong thought I was going to Tel Aviv - not random. Airport was hot as hell! Flight kept getting delayed then we had a gate change as well. Finally got on the plane and it took forever to take off so we were basically sitting in a sauna for 30+ minutes."

In bewilderment I asked her in English to repeat herself and she sarcastically repeated what she had said, in French, I asked for her to speak in English (which she had done to me previously on this Paris to London flight) yet again she scolded me in French. I was left absolutely none the wiser and it left a bad taste in my mouth."

Pros: "Staff was really friendly, the flight attendant was even wearing a little witch hat for Halloween, which I really liked. Due to an underbooked flight, we had free choice of seat, because I originally was booked on an aisle seat, I could change to a window seat, that was nice. Since it was a small machine from Toronto to Minneapolis (a little more than 1,5h flight), there was no entertainment system, besides the nice view out of the window. And who likes to start a movie during such a short flight, to not be able to finish it? They also ask you to hand in your carry-on before you enter the plane, because there is not enough space for it inside, which I liked, no wiggeling along the aisle with a little trolley, I just fetched it outside the plane after we landed."

Since this was only announced so late - after midnight - hotel rooms were no longer available we had to try to sleep on the floor in the departure hall. Maybe ok for 20 year old travelers. Not for 75 year olds like me who paid business class fare so as to hopefully avoid some of the rigors of travel. I managed to catch up on some sleep the next day in the business lounge while eating for my rescheduled connection. Still it has taken an additional period to physically recover from this experience."

Cons: "A majority of flights run by Air Canada to the US were delayed. If this had been due to weather, fine, but at least our delay was caused by mechanical malfunction. Our flight was delayed for 5 hours due to multiple different mechanical issues including that the bathroom would not function during the entire flight, the wing flap had issues and the door would not seal correctly. The flight immediately preceding ours to Minneapolis was also delayed by over 4 hours. Surprisingly the flight before that also had a bathroom malfunction that prevented customers from using the bathroom. If this was the exception we could understand, but looking at the history of our flight, it's only on time 23% of the time. The poor customer service people must hate their lives. Something needs to change."

Wow, talk about being crammed in like a sardine. I'm a male of average height and usually this is a blessing because it feels as though all vehicles, amusement rides and doorways are custom made just for me with the exception of Air Canada planes. I have never in my 300+ number of flights ever felt so confined in any seat. The distance from my knee to the seat in front of me was a claustrophobic finger length at best. Getting up to use the restroom required the other passengers to get up, and I had to stand and walk across their seats to get in/out. Luckily the lady next to me was nice enough and the flight was pleasant overall, but I will certainly think twice before booking another Air Canada flight!!!"

When I arrived in Shanghai, I was held at the Customs for extra 20 or 30 minutes because the airline provided a passport number I used more than 10 years ago. My luggage was held at Pudong airport quite a few days. Each day, they said something different to me... When it's the time for me to go back, I was held again at PEK, because of the different passport number they kept in their system. Even though I explained to them how I purchased the ticket with my current passport number and I have no idea where the problem happened. They insisted that it was my own fault. My gmail did not work properly in China. I asked them for help by providing me the ticket agent contact info in the States. They said that they did not know. I should go where I bought my ticket. I had to spend hours to contact friends in the States to find the phone number of justfly.com. Then, I made international call to justfly for about hour to have the problem fixed. I did not provide any wrong info when purchasing the ticket. The problem was made between the airline and their agent. They, as professionals, could easily have the problem solved but they blamed the customer for the mistake. I had to spend so much extra time and money to cover their mistake, at the risk of missing my flight. That's the worst experience I ever had for international flight."

One desk said there was a seat on the earlier flight and sent me out of the gate area to the front of the airport. When I got there a few minutes later they said no there is no seat. I was upset because I had to wait 6 hours now and go back through security again. I asked to speak to a supervisor. They pertended not to understand. I was persistant and then they siad oh here is a seat on the 1:00 flight. Then he goes do you want window or aisle. If there was no seats whey do I have a choice?"

The crew slept in the empty seats on the next aisle which isn't a problem to me until they kept opeing up the overhead compartments all night long. They were also walking up and down the aisle very heavy all night as well. My seat was in the last row before main cabin galley and they were loud all night too. I heard almost every bang, tray drop,door close,and word they were saying. Thank goodness for earplugs."

Cons: "Our flight from Beijing to Shanghai was cancelled. We were notified about 8 hours before the flight was to depart, leaving us scrambling to fix the problem. We received no explanation for the cancellation of the flight. China Eastern and Flight Network did very little to help us. They wanted to rebook us on a flight 2 days later than the one that was cancelled. Originally, we were meant to arrive in Chicago Saturday morning, and the flight they planned to switch us to would not arrive until Monday night. Since we have jobs to keep, that wouldn't work for us. We tried to get a refund for the cancelled flight but couldn't seem to find anyone who would help us. We had to pay for a new flight on our own, costing us $1800."

Cons: "I had a layover in Kunming but was unable to check my bags all the way through to my destination, which was after the second flight. The plane landed 20 minutes late and then I had to go through baggage claim, check-in, get my 2nd boarding pass printed, re-check my bag, do customs, and security during my layover (1 hr 40 min) between flight. It was the most stressful flying experience I have had to date. Ended up running through the airport in Kunming, begging to jump lines in order to make the second flight, and catching the plane 5 minutes before takeoff. Luckily they allowed us to board even though it was so close to time. Very stressful experience."

Cons: "Both legs of our round trip were several hours late and updates were nonexistent. Missed most of our appointment because of late arrival, then got home after midnight exhausted because of second late flight. Airline is OK - just don't be in a rush."

Cons: "The seat cushion not plush enough. I felt the solid metal for 10 hours +! For additional $800.00 to upgrade to Business, it was not worth it, for this time. I had to switch seat for landing, because the mechanics on my seat after I release my assigned sea 6At to a couple wanting to be together. My reassigned seat aisle 6D. Miss Lee the flight attendant on the right was cordial yet a little plastic, and task oriented. Appearing to try to be sufficiently polite ."

Cons: "The time delay, they fed us our meal before lift off because we were sitting on the plane for hours."
Cons: "I enjoyed the trip from LA to Okinawa, then to China But from Beijing to Shanghai then to USA It was delay and despite I told the staff that my husband is very pro to infection they still put him at last second roll 73 and closed to all little kids some were coughing. There are some area still opened seat. Please don't take me wrong I love the kids but such incident- kids did not put on their seat bell while the airplane were taking off. I had to remind your staff. Some of those parents did sit in between but not paid close attention of their/other kids. Sophia Tse"

Cons: "Poor food No cell phone use at any time during the flight (laptops and tablets ok though?) You will be woken up randomly by staff No headphones at certain points during the flight"

Cons: "Might flight was delayed by an hour, which was not too bad. We were kept waiting at the bottom of the stair, while standing on the runway at the plane. Were told flight was delayed do to wind, but we could see other flights taking off. Thought we were going to be taken back to the waiting area, but fortunately someone finally got the bright idea to let us just wait on board the plane. We all boarded and placed our carry on items overhead. Sat on the plane for about 40 minutes. Then an additional maybe 20 or 30 passengers boarded, who had not at the gate at boarding time. This was probably the REAL reason the flight was delayed."

Cons: "I took 2 connecting flights back home, both flights were delayed by 2h and 1.5h respectively. No estimated new departure time was given, and the staff took very long (well after the supposed departure time) before they made an announcement for us to apologise for the delay. Service was mediocre. Half the time the crew was no where in sight, so it was difficult to ask them for something. When pressing the bell for service, they also took very long to respond. Once, when i had asked a steward for water, he was busy and told me to go to the back of the airplane to get it myself."

Pros: "Nothing unexpected. The flight was pretty much on time although of course most delays are not due to the airline. I've flown many times with China Eastern and I like it."
