We were advised they changed us to a bulkhead row w/an unoccupied seat adjacent to his. Twice during the flight one of the flight attendants came to tell him that she would help him off the plane so to wait for her after the rest of the passengers disembarked. The meal was very tasty.Chicken karaage was not crispy but I wouldn't expect it to be. The rest of the items were well seasoned with the right consistency. Dessert was a flan custard with passion fruit sauce (very Hawaii!), even including a few seeds from the fruit as garnish."

If you are in the US you need to log on to the ANA US site, the JP site is in Japanese and it will not redirect you to US. My fight from Tokyo to HKG would let me check in and get seat assignment until 24 hours before the scheduled flight. The seat map shows all seat ps were taken without telling what is going on."

After checking in our bags, we found out that the first leg of our flight is 2 hours late, so obviously we couldn't take the second flight. Looking at the TV monitors, I noticed that pretty much ALL Air Canada flights are seriously delayed. Luckily, there was an earlier flight to Toronto (which was scheduled to have already left, but it did not leave because that was delayed, too). The staff put us on that flight and double promised to make sure that our checked in baggage gets transferred to this alternate flight. The checked bags did not get transferred. When we arrived at Delhi, after an exasperating 1.5 hour delay after a 20 hour flight, the airline told us, and many others in the same situation, that our baggage did not arrive, and we have to come the next day to pick them up. The issue was, we were not staying in Delhi, just transiting through it. No luck, the airline said, because the customs have to be cleared at the port of entry. We are still waiting for our baggage. Oh, and if that was not enough, the airline allocated well separated seats for all the members of our family. I'd think it would be a common sense that people who have been booked on the same ticket must be assigned consecutive seats. But apparently Air Canada does not have much common sense. NOT flying with them ever again!"

Because of this, PreCheck passages need to hold onto there bording pass as they go through security. The first security person who checks ID and boarding pass only told my wife not to take off her shoes. He did not tell her to hold on to her boarding pass, so she put it into the bin for x-ray stuff. So later security personnel then told her to take off her shoes and gave her a body scan because her boarding pass was already in the x-ray machine. I always hold on to my boarding pass thru security but had to take my computer out of my carry-on."

Cons: "The plane was uncomfortable. The real downer was that somehow they lost a whole cartload of bags for a while, perhaps took them to a different carousel or something, so many of the bags from our flight didn't make it out until probably more than an hour after we had landed."

Cons: "I purchased internet for the flight but it was almost completely useless. Firstly because China is blocking facebook and all of the google services, including gmail and youtube. But also because internet speed was so low that I could not open most of the pages that I wanted. Also, some of the movies in entertainment section had no english subtitles. It was annoying to find out only after watching 3 minutes of commercials and few minutes into a movie."

Cons: "I was robbed in Osaka, Japan just prior to my arrival at Osaka airport, to leave back to USA. It caused me to miss my air China flight. Upon describing to air China why I was a 'no show', that I was robbed, they had zero sympathy, and demanded a 200-300 dollars flight adjustment fee, but I also had to print out several forms, sign them, and scan them back. I did not have access to those devices- so I was forced to buy an entirely new ticket, spending 650 dollars (had to have a friend back in the states buy it, my card and wallet were stolen). 650 dollars. Guess what American Airlines did for me when I landed in lax, and explained the situation to them? They understood, like human beings, and actually upgraded me on a new flight to Texas (my home). Air China showed no humility, no humanity, and quite frankly I will tell others of my terrible experience on air China."

Airplane was very uncomfortable with few movie options. Flight attendants were rude on every flight I took with air China. I guess this was an improvement as the entertainment system was broken on my way there. My luggage was lost both ways of travel. In trying to report lost luggage, the desk attendant was rude and not helpful. She wasted about 30 minutes of my time just to tell me she couldn't help me. She should have told me that initially when I described my problem to her and she didn't listen. This delay caused me to miss my connecting flight. Overall I had a terrible experience and will never fly Air China ever again!!!"

Rescheduled me to a flight the next evening AND refused to give me accommodation because "cancelled due to weather, it's not our fault, so you need to go outside and find a hotel yourself." I explained i am foreign and don't know how to do that, they just shrugged. Many, many other passengers were stranded the same way."
