Cons: "I am an Emirates skywards member and I was placed in the middle seat when my preference on Emirates and Kayak is an aisle seat. After boarding it was explained to me that I couldn’t move to an aisle seat even though more than one seat was available. I asked to pay or to use miles I have accrued."

Pros: "I recently booked a flight on Qatar first, to Ko Samui, Thailand. When I got on the plane, I asked the flight attendant to please be careful when he pushed the cart down the aisle because the last time I flew, the flight attendant smashed the cart into my elbow and drew blood. The flight attendant laughed at me, so I told him, calmly, that if it happened again, I would sue the airline. He didn't like that, and so for the next ten minutes he sent three different flight attendants over to ask me crazy questions like, "Do you have anything you would like to tell us?" I have no idea what this was about. Eventually, I was told to get off the plane, which ended up costing me over $1,500 in transportation, hotel, and new flight (on Emirates) fees. It was and still is a nightmare because my vacation has been ruined due to having no money. I'm a master's-degree-holding English teacher of 11 years with no history of ever having been asked to get off of a plane for any reason, and no, I was not drunk because while waiting for my luggage to be returned, had a conversation with three Boston airport police officers who did not arrest me or even understand why I had been kicked off of my flight. Nor did I speak a single profane word to the Qatar flight attendants or security, and of course, I did not use violence or resist when I was told to get off the plane. Unlike Qatar's staff, the Boston police officers were very polite and understanding. Emirates, on the other hand, was a completely different story. They were great. The staff was friendly, and when I was sleeping, they didn't send their staff over to harass me. I have flown on Emirates, Qatar, and Ethihad many times, and I truly don't understand why Qatar's staff have been instructed by their managers that it is okay to lose long-time customers and kick professional teachers off of their planes just because they think I wasn't perfectly sweet and nice to them all the time. I am an American, and in my country we have freedom of expression and speech, as long as that speech does not indicate violent intentions or use profanity or insults. Basically, I felt as though I was in a country with no rights to free speech at all. Presently I am having my lawyer work up legal documents for Qatar to get my money back and to reimburse me for travel and hotel expenses, as well as having to take two extra days off of work to reschedule my flight. I truly believe in the transparency of the travel industry through using comments like those I am making you readers aware of right now, and I assume you will benefit from this rhetorical question/advice: Emirates and Ethihad are sometimes a little more expensive than Qatar on certain flights, but is it really worth it to risk having Qatar take your money and make you miss your flight for no reason? Is it acceptable for an airline operating in the USA to deprive Americans of their right to express concern to the flight attendants on their plane?"

TSA held me up, I almost missed my flight had to be rushed on and no place to put my things so I had to sit squashed in the middle seat with all my bags for a 12 hour flight. I won't EVER go through Boston AGAIN. I won't ever chose Emirates for that long flight again, if I can help it. The WORST!!"

According the the flight crew, they were notified at 9am that morning and the airline had my phone number and email, yet I arrived at the airport at 8pm because I was never notified! I spent $50 to take a taxi to the airport and now I had a 10am departure the following morning! I was given no compensation for this massive issue. Just "sorry, come back tomorrow!" I was very upset! My choices were either take ANOTHER $50 taxi home that night and then another $50 taxi back in the morning or get a $150 hotel room at the airport. So glad I paid THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS for my Business Class seat (a big spend for me as I've never flown Business Class before but felt like a special treat for a special occasion). WTF, Emirates!"

I think direct flights from Emirates are outstanding but the code share with Jet Blue did not work for me. For food there was Hindu meal option which did not specify veg or non veg we were served lamb but FYI Hindu meal means no beef and could be veg or non veg which does not make sense. Emirates should clarify that. So we ate nothing on our flight to Dubai."

Cons: "The first leg of Hyderabad to Dubai was about 3.5 hours. The airhostesses must have been tired from another long haul prior to the HYD-DBX leg. A couple of them were a little less than charming to some of the passengers. Many of the people from Indian subcontinent don't use the magic words - thank you and please. So, it could come out likes bit rude but a curt answer in stead of yelling would have sufficed. My flight was from EWR to HYD with stopovers at BOS and DBX. A long wait at Dubai can be understood and expected. But a 7 hour layover at Boston was a killer. If Emirates tied up with any other carrier other than jet blue, this could have been avoided. Even otherwise, after a 20+ hour journey, another 7+ hour waiting was a killer. Please change it to make the journey shorter"

There was only one person servicing the entire group of people To bring us to the connecting flight as a result it took us way longer to get to our connecting flight and we all ended up missing it. I had to spend over 12 hours in London .. Which was very uncomfortable and tiring for me considering my poor health, the previous 8 HR flight from Boston-London and the upcoming 9 hour london-Mumbai."

Pros: "Check-in Ticket printed by BA staff at the airport had the wrong gate number so I was sat in the wrong part of the terminal until I got suspicious and double checked the screens to find my flight had started boarding elsewhere. Entertainment system had a screen from the mobile phone you owned more than a decade ago. Breakfast was a Kellogg's chew bar. Staff onboard were excellent."

Cons: "I was not let onto the flight as my passport was expiring in less than 3 months and the EU has restrictions against this. My disappointment stems from the fact that I was not given any warning that this was a concern before I arrived at the airport. So, I was unable to use the ticket and have been subsequently told that I cannot be refunded for any part of the ticket. As a consequence, I will not be using Finnair again at any point in the future."

Cons: "I was unable to check-in online or select seats, and was thus relegated to a middle seat. Never happens when I book directly at ba.com - so clearly, they penalize people who book through an airfare wholesale site. In addition, they typically offer an upgrade promotion ($$) online or at time of check-in, but when I asked they said they weren't offering any - despite a colleague who booked directly on ba.com being offered one. Won't ever make that mistake again - not worth it."

Cons: "We had to transit in Addis (connecting from Dakar) and the whole experience of going through the Addis airport, getting the voucher for the hotel, and going to the hotel was horrible: it took forever going through immigration and getting a simple stamp on the voucher (the latter an unsafe experience and time consuming, with hundreds of people piled up to get those stamps from just two people, crashing again each other, with no order, no lines). Somewhat there has to be a better way to manage this and make the experience safer and more comfortable to everybody. For instance, just enforcing to stay in line and organizing the lines would have saved everybody a lot of time and effort."

They claimed that the problem was with the integration of their system with SAA's system."

One guy checking boarding passes for both business and economy. Very slow with again no crowd control. Children were not given priority. Eventually many people went through business queue while others had been waiting in economy. Ground staff were standing around watching and not helping or communicating. Poor show from Ethiopian!"

Cons: "delays, delays and no answers about the schedule from anyone. poor food, poor entertainment. the plane was small, crowded and a disguising smell all over."

Pros: "Cabin crew were all charming."
Cons: "Unfortunately, I had to request earphones (which were not supplied in the seat pocket in front of me) five times from three different attendants over the course of an hour and a quarter before I was given them. This was not just so I could watch a movie but because the quality of the plane's public address system made it very difficult to listen to the announcements from the captain and the crew. Listening on earphones I was able to hear everything clearly. Why it had to take so long just to give me earphones I don't know."

Cons: "Please have a vegetarian option that does not contain cheese."

Cons: "My monitor/screen never worked; could never watch a movie despite asking the flight attendants to reset my screen several times. Pretty bad for this 10+ hour flight. I have had much better experiences with crew, staff, friendliness, responsiveness, etc, on almost every other airline."

Pros: "It showed a decent tv show but the intercom kept interrupting"

Pros: "Customer service was great and the restrooms were cleaned regularly unlike some long haul flights where it's not the case."

Cons: "It was a night flight (~4-5 hours), however, 80% the time the lights were on... people did not want to eat/drink... and get disturbed constantly by the crew. We just wanted to sleep. Without lights"

Cons: "I was suppose to stay on the flight in Hong Kong to continue to Ethiopia and they never made an announcement. I had a seat with a TV that did not work and it took over 30 mins for a flight attendant to respond."

Cons: "I was very cold cos i forgot my jacket. I requested for blanket from different attendants but they never gave me one. They would respond ok but never got back to me. One told me they were looking for blankets and will get me one when found. They were all so busy with food matters. To my utmost surprise after several hours when they were done with food matters blankets began floating around in their numbers. I was really really sad"

Pros: "1. Nice flight 2. flight attendants good customer service skills"
Cons: "Equipment issue-tv not working well , unable to charge my cell phone USB port not working. 2. Food on my return flight was terrible I am a vegetarian was mostly served warmed up frozen vegetable which were terrible 3. Return trip set next to noisy people, had coffee spilled on my dress, was upset and did not enjoy return trip .Grateful for flight attendants who moved me to another seat."

Cons: "My daughter's entertainment system crashed after 20 minutes. She ended up sleeping so I watched a movie. When she woke up, we were going to switch seats, but I tried to turn it back on and mine wasn't working. (By the end of the flight, only maybe 10-20% were using theirs as many others crashed as well.) The food was very boring. At one point I was looking for a flight attendant and couldn't find a single one anywhere in coach."

Pros: "The flight attendants seemed a bit disorganized delivering the food and drinks"

Pros: "The seats were OK but not as good as in the larger airplanes. Vegetarian option for food was good. Airplane was half empty which made moving around quite easy and nice. Flight attendents were willing to help!"
Cons: "Independence day is perhaps not the best movie for a flight. Only one option as there are no personal media systems."
