American Airlines was operating the BA flight. They put up passengers in a hotel and provided us with meal vouchers. This was appreciated. But the hotel was shabby and its staff including the shuttle driver were rude and slow. Considering the horrible delay we experienced getting to our destination, this 2-day return from Spain to Atlanta, was just bitter icing on the cake."

Pros: "Started when 7 am flight from Knoxville was delayed - multiple times until finally at 4 PM there were no options. Nobody with AA saying a single word all this time even when asked. Finally called their customer service line only to learn that I could get on another flight that left in a few minutes. Door was still open but gate agent argued with the lady on 800 line about who could ticket faster. By time they finished arguing the door closed. That began a 14 hour nightmare of bumping between flights and delays and the inevitable lost luggage. Paid for $300 hotel room at Vancouver that I will get to stay in for 4 hours. Will NEVER fly American again"

Pros: "Solo que a la 1:10pm le comunique al sobrecargo del vuelo Avianca #928 Lima _ salvador 1010 1: 20 pm hora local me di cuenta que se quedo el anillo de matrimonio en el paso de migración en la bandeja, el sobrecargo me di una instrucción que debía hablar con el encargado del Salvador la Srta Geaninia Gomez indica que como no es pérdida dentro del avión no se hacen responsables, lo que no estoy de acuerdo que me digan eso ya que es trayecto del vuelo que estaba realizando voy a tomar medidas para presentar un reclamo ya que es un valor sentimental ya que ni me dejaron ir a ver estando casi 40 minutos y sentí que no me ayudaron por los menos con una llamada en el departamento."

It was supposed to depart Detroit at 7:31am, we all had to get up at 4:30am to get ready and drive to the airport and it traveling with a 14 months old alone. So we get to the airport only to find out the flight has been delayed! They kept pushing it back further and it ended up being 2 hours delayed due to the fact they were 1 flight attendant short. My toddler was not happy having to sit at the airport for 3+ hours, never mind the fact she also had to get up at 5am. We sat at the last row and seats were very narrow and no leg room. We had to listen to the loud engine the entire time and strong smell of fuel during landing. My baby's ear hurt during landing and cried. I'm very unsatisfied with the flying experience with Spirit. Oh, our first flight was also delayed, from Tampa to Detroit, over 3 hours delayed! I don't think I'll be flying with sprirt again."

Pros: "Let me start with the fact that I will never fly Spirit again, ever! My 5:58 flight was delayed at least 6 times. Each time with a different excuse for the delay. Between mechanical issues, weather (clear weather from PHL to FLL), no flight crew, and out of hours, the airline used ever excuse in the book. Once they determined we could not fly that night, our flight was pushed to the next day. They only had 2 irrate employees working who were just condescending to many of the frustrated passengers. They would not compensate the rooms for the night, nor refund people so they could take another airline. I also called spirit customer service line and the insurance contact I had through priceline. Neither provided any sort of help. Additionally, spirit had discounted hotel options, but did not distribute them to all waiting at 12am for some type of info and support. The next day, they told is our flight would leave at 10. We again werr delayed 2-3 times and didn't take off until the afternoon, causing me to be late for the wedding I was a part of. There is so much more to tell, but I need to file a full formal complaint later to Spirit, priceline, and the flight insurance company. This was hand down the worst flying experience I have every had in my life. And o fly at leave 1-2 times a month."

The flight attendant laughingly said "The only two things that are free on this flight are the bathroom and the trash collection." On my flight back from Chicago, I ordered a double, neat Buffalo Trace to celebrate the fact that I'll never fly Spirit again. At least they have their humor showing right in their slogan: "Less money. More go." Yep, less money for me, and now much less go."

Ridiculous when other airlines don't charge for the first one. A little overweight? A huge hefty fine. Pay for your seat?! There were no free seats at all!!! No complimentary snack or drink??? Charge for water!!! Ridiculous! The seats were like being packed in a sardine can and no recline which I had a terrible headache when the we finally landed! By the time I had to pay for the "extras" I could have flown first class on another airline! Never again will I will flight with Spirit and will highly recommend anyone else not to also!!!"

Least they won't just keep your ticket money if you miss a flight they will make amends. SPIRIT is tacky, classless, and just overall a terrible airline. They need to be out of business. Seriously. Cons: "The one flight Spirit is offering daily from Chicago to New York LGA was cancelled 3 days in a row. Spirit claims it was due to weather. All other airlines were flying. Makes you wonder if Spirit is flying with inferior planes. Won't book Spirit ever again. Personnel at Chicago airport was not helpful and couldn't deal with my frustration."

Cons: "The seats are very cramped; if you want to choose your seat (and not get stuck in the middle seats) you must pay extra. There is no free baggage allowance -- even a small carry-on is an extra $50+ and all the onboard refreshments, including a cup of coffee, cost money. The coffee is $2.00. The fares may be reasonable, but the extra fees and lack of comfort bite."
