Turkish Airlines made a long flight from YVR to IST a great flying experience. From the attendants, to the food, to the entertainment program to all the extras, a twelve hour flight ‘flew by’. Late departure and arrival was not the airline’s fault.
It was great. The service was excellent and the timing was very good.

Great staff/service on board. Check-in/boarding staff are very good, but overall supervision of their passenger intake processes needs attention.
The entire experience in Turkish business class was superb. From the friendly greetings including the chef, to the polite and classy service, all was wonderful. The in flight entertainment is one of the best. The food was the best I’ve had inflight.
Excellent service. Friendly and attentive flight attendants, can lay back in business class and be pretty comfortable, and delicious food. Flight on time departing and arriving.
Turkish Airlines lost my reservation!!! I had the ticket, the receipt and they lost it!! Because the flight was fully booked, I had to wait 8 hours!!! Turkish Airlines provided me with NO FOOD, NO WATER!!! Absolutely ridiculous. They were pathetic. They admitted it was their fault for losing my reservation but provided me with nothing.
everything was excellent except for the meal on the fight from the Istanbul which was disgusting, the only choice of food available was pasta which was served frozen.
Very comfortable in business class. Excellent service. Good food. Smooth trip.
Flight was delayed. While standing at the gate, a note appeared on the sign saying the gate had changed to a gate far away. No member of the Turkish airlines team got on the microphone to instruct passengers to go to the other gate, to ignore the chiron, etc. Finally, the message disappeared. Eventually, the flight began to board. Very slowly. More slowly than I experience with other airlines. Though Istanbul may just be slow . . . In all other ways, great flight, great entertainment (top notch movies), great service, excellent food, comfortable lie-flat seat, dimmed lights, etc.
The crew were excellent, smiling and kind. The seats were good for economy though my seat back got a bit sticky from getting out of the reclining position. The food was good for a Kosher meal, better than usual. Entertainment was okay, but there was no Wi-fi available the entire flight. Overall the flight was fine for an overnight flight. The flight attendant in my section was absolutely delightful.
The legroom was lacking and the entertainment system lacked adequate selection of older films. Modern films are generally not very good.
1. One of the crew who was managing the crowd in the business class line specifically asked me if I am travelling by business class while I was standing in the business class designated line. She specifically was asking only me and no one else. Seemed to imply that I may not be aware of it and may be I don't belong there?(Based on my color?) 2. The business class seats in the aircraft was average regular economy seats with middle seat kept free.
The plane was late to Frankfurt and I almost missed my connection and my checkt in bag didn’t catch the second flight! Poor
Food is too little (in volume) and too spicy.. There are no snacks in the back of the plane in between meals.
This flight had way more space than my international flight which is just embarrassing
The pasta in the evening meal was tasteless. Otherwise, the flight was okay.
Hectic boarding process. I upgraded to business class which was no different than economy except for the food service. Totally not worth it.
This experience was a complete disaster. At first the flight was delayed. No reason given why the flight was delayed. Once transported to the plane (by bus) and waiting on the tarmac, the flight was canceled. The next flight was 6 hours later and that flight was also delayed. Horrible experience and lack of communication from the airline.
