I sat next to a man that had insane body odor and when I let the Flight Attendant know she kindly reseated me... It was great until I saw the poor woman who took my place ALSO asked to be reseated due to the man's smell! Unfortunately, I was reseated in the middle of the row, which apparently is by Boeing design, none of the middle seats recline. Who makes an aircraft that handles long (13 hour) hauls with seats that do not recline and are too narrow for the average adult? It was such a painful and uncomfortable 13 hour flight. To add insult to injury, the plane was delayed and I missed my connection and had to sit in Istanbul airport for almost 8 hours."

We did not realize we had to select vegetarian ahead of time, but having cheese sandwiches available made that easier. The small bag of toiletries that we were given was a very nice surprise."

They had passengers distanced from each other the whole time, handed out sanitizing wipes as we walked on the plane, made sure folks kept their masks on, gave us individual little baggies with snacks and water bottles that also had individual hand sanitizer packets. I felt so much more safe flying Delta on my way home to Hawaii in July than I did when I flew American Airlines on my way to the mainland in June."

To go to Australia, Denver TSA waived the removal of shoes, skipped the scan for the metal detector and no one touched me, ditto for LAX on the trip to Sydney. Where's the uniformity or standards for TSA?? Why did I have to be subjected to this garbage on the way home?? This is why I despise flying. It makes no sense to me. This ruined what was a great vacation."

I travel a lot and with many other flights internationally and I can tag my bags with different airlines all the way through, but NOT WITH VIRGIN WITH THE SAME AIRLINE ALL THE WAY THROUGH? They can't do it? Then 2 hour delay on the tarmac after taxiing out from the gate at LAX, which got us in late to Brisbane. The food on this leg LAX-BNE for the vegetarian option was terrible, which was strange as on the fist flight over from BNE-LAX it was the best vegetarian food on any flight I've ever had. Strangely 6 months out from our flight I tried calling Delta to upgrade our tickets and was told they had no way of doing it as the Delta computer system isn't linked Virgin system. Then calling Virgin to upgrade I was told I can't as it is a Delta ticker. We tried again a week out from the flight and got the same response and told to try at check-in. We tried then at check in and told they have no idea how to do this as only so many seats are allocated to Delta tickets and they can't access the Delta system?? So very frustrating and we could never upgrade?"

Somewhat there has to be a better way to manage this and make the experience safer and more comfortable to everybody. For instance, just enforcing to stay in line and organizing the lines would have saved everybody a lot of time and effort."

Cons: "The whole boarding process was a bit chaotic. I was really called on the plane. I tried to signal for a blanket or some food but there was only 2 cabin crew members."

Cons: "There was a fight on the llane but it was because a passenger with mental issues was provoked by a couple so ahe beat up the wife. This was not caused by ET and crew at all, but they stopped it."

Pros: "Free entertainment! Wish they worked with gogo to purchase WiFi though. Bathrooms are roomier than other airplanes! I’m glad the crew gave me the sandwich even though I was sleeping."
Cons: "One of the toilet covers wouldn’t stay up so you had to hold it while going. Paper towels would be nicer than tissue paper. Wasn’t able to use my boarding pass from my phone, waste of paper. Ginger ale would be a nice drink. Didn’t find a list of their drinks in magazine, that would make it easier. Whenever I needed to use the restroom they locked us out a lot whether for head count or re fueling."

Pros: "Overall it was good flying experience. They upgraded me to an exit row for free when I checked in and asked, which was nice. We had a blanket, pillow, and toothbrush kit on our seats. They fed us and had in flight entertainment. This was a 10 hour flight, so its so important to get these types of amenities. I flew a different airline to my destination, and they didn't feed us at all! It was terrible! Ethiopian was much better!"
Cons: "The food wasn't very good (but most airline food isn't), the flight attendants didn't seem to be working much of the flight, just hanging out with each other (I was seated near them), and I really wish there was more room to get up, move around, and stand. On a 10 hour flight you can't sit the whole time. Wish the seats were a little wider, especially for such long flights."

Cons: "Transfer at Addis Ababa was horrendous - no help from ground staff and the airport was a confusing mess. The landing in cape town was very rough and jumpy."

Cons: "At the Addis airport, it seems chaos reigns! My flight was never listed on any display to say what gate we departed from. A crowd of people boarding for two different planes just rushed the gate area. I’ve got no idea how everyone ended up on the right plane. My flight was never announced I had to keep going up to ask over and over. The bathrooms at the airport are unhygienic and the available food is abysmal. On the plane was better except that the only entertainment is over head screens that didn’t work my overnight flight was miserable as the lights were on the whole time and they repeatedly woke me up to eat throughout the flight. I’ll do what I can to avoid the Addis airport from now on."

Cons: "Addis airport is always a mess. Security check takes 30 mins+, gates are changed without announcements and there are no display mentioning flight or destination at the gate. For the flight, food not great and service slow."

Pros: "The Ethiopians have got the transit sorted in Addis. I had a tight turnaround time of about an hour and 15 minutes. From alighting to boarding and takeoff was about 1 hour. Very impressed that my luggage made it as well."

Pros: "Flying direct from LA to Europe is a challenge. My other flight got cancelled the day of from another airline but i found this flight 12 hours later direct to Ireland for very cheap. Nice staff and amenities. Socks headphones and plenty of LEG ROOM in economy class. Would fly again"

Cons: "On both flights. From Tel Aviv to Addis Ababa and from Addis Ababa to Tel Aviv my seat would not recline. These were night flights and the seat in front of me did recline. so it was a very unpleasent experiance"

Pros: "Was lucky to be able to get 3 seats in a row, so could sleep.. They were able to put me in 3 seats again on return, so all good for me... Crew nice, leg room decent, entertainment was fine... Movie choices were not best I've seen, but first world problem... Overall I would recommend.."

Cons: "I used kayak to book the flight and the website provided had the incorrect web address for checking in. When I went directly to the Ethiopian airline website they wouldn't allow me to online check in. I called the agency and I couldn't be connected to anyone. I missed the physical check in by 4 minutes and no one was at the counter to help me reschedule. Really disappointing."
