The flight itself felt like an older 737-800 while it had power there were only two and the two others in my row snagged them. I was in Delta Comfort and have to say the extra leg room isn’t a lot."

Cons: "Flight delays cause cascade of irritable passengers. Flight out of Phoenix delayed due to late departure from previous location. We were told mechanical reasons was the cause of the delay. This caused many passengers to miss their connecting flight in Atlanta. When we arrived after midnight, one gate person was attempting to help 50 people with morning connecting flights and room accommodations. The airline knew 3 hours prior that they would have tired, hungry, frustrated passengers. To then have to wait more than an hour in a line to get a bed and or a meal was too much for most people. There were other smaller examples of how Delta's staff or procedures were not customer centric. I will avoid Delta for travel in the future, and I am getting out of their stock."
Cons: "Our flight was originally scheduled for departure at 7:45 PM. We got an alert stating that the flight was going to be delayed but we were already almost to the airport when I received the first message on my smartphone. We received three additional alerts making our total wait time at the airport 5½ hours before we could approach the gate and board the aircraft. Seating in immediate gate area was not comfortable. Boarding was chaotic at best with very little control and guidance provided by Delta staff. The audio over the PA system was difficult to decipher much of the time. The only other available boarding status information was presented on the screens stationed near the gate and indicated PREMIUM the entire time during our boarding process and was never updated. We literally had to scramble through the crowd to get to the gate desk and get our boarding passes validated so we could board our flight with our group of passengers. Our seating on board the aircraft was thankfully good which is why I rated Comfort as Okay. We were saddled with one more delay after the flight left the gate and taxied briefly down the runway and then sat there for almost an hour. My suggestions to improve customer satisfaction based on my experience would include the following 1. Provide extended alerts for passengers travelling especially if the anticipated delay is known to the airline more than 2 hours before scheduled flight time. 2. Improve seating in the waiting areas near all Delta gates. 3. Re-orient all staff in proper boarding process and utilizing all available resources properly to provide clear and intelligible (not speeding) overhead audio messaging and current boarding status prompts on displays. 4. Maintain or replace audio equipment if necessary to help improve quality of audio messaging in all boarding areas."
Cons: "My email read check into Aeromexico I could not check in the Aeromexico using my phone I was dropped off at the Aeromexico terminal after standing in line for half an hour I find I was in the wrong terminal I needed to be in a different terminal with Delta because Aeromexico even on my reservation read that does not fly to Tampa. I had to find a shuttle to another terminal the shuttlesare not marked it was very confusing"

Cons: "For some reason when I booked my flight, for this leg of it, I had "get seat assignment at gate". Once I got my seat assignment I thought I had a window seat: however, when I boarded the plane, I realized that I was in the very last seat of the plane in the window position, but no window. I was crammed in next to a wall and claustrophobic the whole way as I couldn't see anything, couldn't recline at all because behind me was the bathroom, and the engine roared at times in my ears to where I couldn't hear the passenger next to me when we tried to have conversation as the engine was right outside my "wall". We joked, when we could hear each other, that we must've pissed someone at Delta off the last time we flew them. I have no idea why I had to get my seat assignment at the gate for this particular flight, or why I was put in the 'flying coffin' seat, but it made for a very unpleasant experience. Why even have that seat in the plane? Everyone pays a lot of money to fly these days and deserves better than that seat when doing so. just take those two seats out and give everyone else a little more leg room = much better passenger experience for everyone...my suggestion if Delta really cares about the quality of passenger experience."

Very cold on flight, crew did not regulate the climate control. Too many unnecessary announcements both in English then French. Each announcement seemed like it lasted about 10 minutes which no one listen. So much for trying to watch a movie that pauses every time the crew feels the needs to talk. Sat at gate for 30 minutes pass departure time without any explanation until right before we departed (waiting on passengers from late arriving flights). At lease they could have told us. Anyhow this is not the Air Canada of old. Air Canada Rouge shows no signs that they care about the comfort of their passengers."

Pros: "The crew was very accommodating of the negative situation my boyfriend was in. He was suffering from food poisoning from the previous flight and was unable to hold it in before the plane took off. They were very gracious with making sure that he had sufficient vomit bags and after the fasten seat belt light turned off, they allowed him to move seats in order to sit closer to the bathrooms. While this was a very difficult journey for him, the crew made it slightly more bearable."

I was in line-ups for the 3 1/2 hrs I was in Toronto trying to get a seat and not knowing till the very last minute that I had one. The very back row next to the toilet. I will never recommend to fly Air Canada."
Cons: "gate assignment kept changing so i bounced through the airport more than i would have liked to since i was trying to get some work done between flights. in addition, the final gate assignment was tight to say the least; people were literally sitting on the floor next to the moving walkway. this isn't an Air Canada problem it's a Pearson problem and made the experience less than pleasant."

He just took the ticket and gave me the last sit available on the plain even though I arrived almost 3 hours before the original departing hour .. I don't know .. It might be the only available sit or it was just a racist thing .. Who knows .. Really disappointed with United. I'll go back with Ameican Airlines."

Seats were comfortable enough and there was plenty of room for our carry on luggage. Boarding was on the tarmac and a little chilly but very orderly. Moving through security and customs/immigration at the Nanjing airport is a bit disorganized for in transit passengers but we were patient and the ground staff were very organized and helpful once we were taken to check in."

Had to speak to a China Eastern representative at the airport who was very unhelpful. After an airport employee (not affiliated with China Eastern) spoke to the China Eastern rep, the rep claimed there was no problem all along. I was in a Changsha, China at the time so few employees spoke English. Luckily my girlfriend sole Chinese otherwise this would’ve been a much worse experience."

Because of this, China Eastern refused to check my luggage through to my final destination (though this has been done many times before), and THEN informed me in Kunming that I needed to pay AGAIN for my extra piece of baggage, though they had already charged me for it in New York. Do yourself a favor and never do business with these creeps - there are too many other available options for air travel."

Cons: "Because of congestion at shanghai the flight from Delhi to Shanghai, the flight was canceled. The handling of the cancellation was terrible on both the Chinese Eastern and Indian airport official's side. Communication was slow and spotty, and this caused much stress and loss of time for the passengers. After repeated calls to the customer service center, it was discovered that China Eastern didn't even know the status of their own flights, as the computer systems didn't reflect the changes. I was passed to different customer service representatives being on hold for over an hour. Finally, It took 7 hrs to go from cancelation until we got to hotel, from 1am until 8am. During this time, passengers were repeatedly corralled in cold location and no refreshments were offered. The following day, the confusion continued as China Eastern and the Indian Air Port Officials passed blame and communication broke down between the passengers. At no point were all the parties concerned briefed on the plan, so people were left wondering and not sleeping during the time at the hotel. Finally a Chinese national called the Chinese embassy of Delhi, and the Chinese government stepped in and got us a flight out. China Eastern's denial of responsibility, lack of internal communication, and lack of Chinese Eastern ground support in Delhi made this flight experience the worst of my life. Some how I would like a full refund for the return portion of the trip."

This has been a huge inconvenience. I have important things that I need and it has been delayed for far too long. I should also not have to pick up the suitcase because it is not may fault that it was misplaced. I refuse to spend half the day to go to the airport, and I also refuse to spend money on a taxi service to get me there."

Cons: "Where do I even start? Our original flight in Melbourne was cancelled. Luckily the woman in line behind us got an email alert, but we did not get anything. China Eastern does not have a ground crew in Melbourne, so Dnata staffs it for them. We queued for 2.5 hours to be told we would not be flying out until the next afternoon, and they could not tell me when I would get back to Chicago, but was promised when we returned the next day, that we would have full flight information. Gratefully we were put up in a Quest hotel (which I highly recommend) for the night. The next day we queued for 2 hours and were told we'd find out about our connecting flight in Shanghai as they couldn't give me any other information, but gave us each 14 AUD for lunch. After an hour delay we were finally on our way. In Shanghai things were a mess. We were constantly diverted to this line and that, no one knew what was going on. Finally we were directed to the proper place, and after 3 hours (not an exaggeration) of standing in line we found out we could not leave for Chicago until Wednesday (by this time it's Tuesday morning about 4 am), because they only fly to Chicago every other day, and we had missed our 11:40 am Monday connection due to the cancellation in Melbourne. They paid for us to be in a hotel that was 30 minutes away from the airport, and paid for the meals as well, and gave each of us 1000 Yuan. There was very little information or communication on the airline's part. I told my friend that I was flying China Eastern and she said she'd never ever fly with them, and now I understand why. I have to return to Australia in a month, and trust me, I will be looking at other options. I wish the staff had been able to help those of us who were stranded, perhaps booking other flights with other airlines, being more sympathetic, flight vouchers, something. They made us feel like "we" were inconveniencing "them." Such a nightmare. I know those of us on that flight were all in agreement, trust me, we had a long time to talk about the service."

I had to run through the Beijing Airport. so many security checks and my bag was searched many times during this trip. my toothpaste was confiscated though it had only about 3 uses left it was a full size tube rolled down to the last bit."

I do admit I am a taller than average guy, but if you are over 6' tall you will have NO legroom. And I mean none. It is an insulting amount of legroom. My 5'6" wife barely had any room, never mind myself. On my flight back, I requested an emergency exit row seat (as I noticed on the flight over the emergency exit row was filled with old people and young couples with babies/ young children). And was informed it would cost $120 USD per flight per person. My jaw almost hit the floor. You mean to tell me that the emergency exit row - the row where in the case of an emergency you are supposed to physically be able to assist passengers - actually COSTS money to sit in? That is an absolute disgrace. You have to pay for the added responsibility to help in the case of an emergency? Of course, once I was on the flight the emergency exit row was filled with old people and babies. All of course perfectly capable of helping in the case of an emergency. I was, and still am furious. The gall to charge that much money and then give the responsibility to people unable to help? Meanwhile, an able-bodied couple in the 20s is denied and I am cramped in my less-than-acceptable-for-budget-airlines legroom. And the food. Putrid. Inedible. It was somehow overwhelmingly fragrant while far too bland. Its hard to imagine someone putting together that meal and feeling proud. The meals all screamed "I do not care about my customers." In fact, that is the overwhelming feeling I got from Air China. An airline that truly could not careless about their customers. I would not reccommend. Even if they are the cheapest by a far margin. Stay away. Do not go near. Air China is a terrible airline that should be avoided at all costs."
