The British Virgin Islands currently only allow British Virgin Islanders, Belongers, Permanent Residents, naturalized citizens, and freight and cargo vessels to enter.
Starting September 1, work permit holders with confirmed employment, work permit exempt holders, students, and other specified groups may enter the territory.
Certain special categories of persons will only be allowed in the territory for up to five days. This includes aviation crew, maritime crew, healthcare practitioners/medical staff, emergency maintenance, repair and other technical personnel and other essential specialized workers.
Travelers must have a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 PCR test result issued within 5 days prior to travel.
All persons eligible for entry to British Virgin Islands must register in advance through an online portal.
Starting on December 1, arrivals must submit a BVI Gateway Traveler Authorization Certificate and is projected to be live the week of November 2.
A charge of USD 175 per person will be collected from all travelers to cover the cost of in-Territory testing and the BVI Portal app.
On arrival, travelers except those traveling from the UK and the Dominican Republic will be required to take PCR test. Once the result is negative, they will be allowed restricted movement to designated places. These locations are being coordinated by Environmental Health and other Government agencies.
A final PCR test will be administered on day 4 and once this test returns negative, travelers will be able to move within the Territory, without limitation.
A positive test at any time after arrival will result in a mandatory 14 day quarantine
Travelers arriving from the UK are subject to 14-day quarantine in an approved location and are subject to tests on arrival, day 7 and day 14 and if all are negative be allowed full movement within the Territory.
All arriving travelers will be issued with and required to wear a tracking bracelet for at least 8 days.
There are currently 18 active cases of COVID-19 diagnosed in VG and 1 death as of Apr 15 2021

Am an international traveler and asked for an exception to be made for the waiver of that fee as I couldn't figure that out while booking my ticket online, the information was so poorly reflected on the website! Spoke to a supervisor on duty and she was extremely rude and terrible as far as listening was concerned! Maybe people can be more human during such times, listen and take some feedback rather than stating a loud no and asking straight away to pay?"

Cons: "My vehicle keys were removed from my checked luggage requiring to pay extensively to have a locksmith come to the airport the next day to create new keys. I slept in the parking lot due to the fact the locksmith could only open the doors and could not cut new electronic keys until morning. I am extremely enraged over this incident. I know the keys were contained in this article due to the fact that the Keychain was left on top, without keys. I could not imagine why someone would remove these keys from my Keychain that holds only those keys. I would like to hear your openion on the matter. Thanks, Alexander Kruse"
