Pros: "I took EVA flight 55 from Chicago O'Hare to Taipei Taoyuan airport. Everything went smoothly, from the check-in where the check-in and baggage staff informed me that one of my check-in bags was a little over weight and gave me a chance to repack the bag so I did not need to pay. Security lines for the red-eye flight time were not long, and once I arrived at the gate, EVA's boarding crew moved passengers along quickly. Flight attendants were very professional and courteous. Landing and baggage claim went well. No complaints at all! I would recommend this flight to anyone wanting direct service from Chicago to Taipei."

Lot didn't provide any drink or food, and also they didn't give us any information about our flight, they just ignored us. We were very frustrated, our kids were hungry and thirsty but nobody from LOT company didn't care about it. They even didn't say "sorry " . I will not recommend this airline to my friends or to somebody else, just be careful with this airline."

Economy seats are very cramped so it's an uncomfortable and probably not healthy experience for that long. The flight delay meant that there was high stress in Warsaw to make the connecting flight. Why transit passengers need to be subjected to security checks and clearance I do not understand. We have just got off an international flight - transit passengers surely aren't combined with new passengers who have not been through security in Warsaw."

This lack of effort stands out very much in the background of super-uncomfortable seats on Dreamliners. There is relatively much less space available for passengers between rows and between seats themselves. It makes long flights exceptionally painful, especially for people who are not extra small or young. I have gotten to the point that I choose to fly different airlines even if that means a bit more money and an extra stop because I cannot handle 8 or 9 hours on the Dreamliners, especially when the flights are full."

I bought my tickets just like anybody would, go on the website, pick the flights and pay. But someone did not do their job correctly and did not correctly confirm my flight. I paid for this incompetence by missing Christmas and a business meeting. Do not think it will never happen to you, it is just a matter of time that this kind of bad service catches up to you. The system is so disconnected or careless that it can't even figure out I couldn't take the flight which it is is asking me a review for."

I paid for 3 drinks, were brought only 2 and when I asked for the 3rd one they didn't understand what I want. Crew speaks only polish, they have little knowledge of English language. They are not helpful and they don't care about passengers! Delays on every flight, Friday LOT airline doesn't have to many flights out of Warsaw! Be aware, in the event of a delay and loosing your connecting flight you might end up spending a night in Warsaw. I WILL NEVER USE LOT AGAIN and I will make sure to spread the word!!!"

I do not spend so much money to fly with an airline, whose agents treat it me like this! She really should be fired for her terrible manners and for giving customers wrong information..the second supervisor we talked to helped us, but the impression we got from the agent was so terrible, that it was hard to feel any good...no food on a flight during lunch hour, seems unfitting."

Cons: "To begin, our flight was delayed an hour into Toronto. We asked the flight attendant about our connecting flight and they said they would find an answer. It ended up that we landed just as the flight was scheduled to leave. Why they could delay pur flight but would not hold another flight by 20 minutes is very questionable. Then we got to customer service, the rep told us that we could only get on the next flight going out tomorrow at the same time which meant 24 hours lost. Of our vacation- which hotels already booked and tours already booked. When I asked if there was anyway we could get in earlier the service person told me "I should be grateful because some people have had to wait multiple days to get to their destinations." When we finally did board the flight the next day we were not served any food, no snacks, and no drink for the entire overnight flight."

Cons: "There was a 90min delay on all flights going to toronto due to construction in toronto yet air canada (knowing this) boarded everyone on time anyway and made us sit on the runway for over an hour. They could have left us in the lounge until they were ready. Parents with babies do not appreciate such thoughtlessness. But hey, as far as air canada was concerned, they left the gate on time."

Pros: "The in-flight entertainment system in the headrest was very robust. My children remained engaged for almost the entire 16hr flight...the flight attendants were not stingy with the food or drink and even allowed me to get a beverage in-between the services to take my medicine."
Cons: "The baggage pickup in Beijing took forever! Over an hour after arriving at the baggage carrosel! My car seats were in two different places (on the belt and in an oversize area). On a minor note, I was unable to get a stamp in my passport after using the automated machine...sad...I would have stood in the line to get the stamp if I was told ahead of time..."

Once I finally was talking with someone, they said it would cost $200 to rectify the problem. I then got put on hold. When they came back they said it would be over $2000 to get home. Talk about trying to cash is on people's hard situations. I ended up flying WestJet. They were amazing."

Cons: "Flight was late from Barcelona to Mintreal by an hour. I needed a wheelchair - didn't show up! Then pulled a muscle trying to get through customs and they barely held my flight to Chicago. Made it, with No Help. Late into Chicago and still no wheelchair. There was no one from whom to get help. Finally a United Airlines employee took pity on me and got a wheelchair to me and got me to the flight - again, just barely. Over 20 hours in the air, no assistance and poor food. I will never fly air canada again - ever. Not worth the savings. I've spent an entire week recovering and spent the savings on physical therapy due to the damage to my legs."

I made it in plenty of time for my connecting flight but airline had just decided. No staff member was interested in answering my questions or helping. They all just wanted to sod off home. they just didn't care."

Cons: "Our first Air Canada flight was 2hr delayed due to mechanical error. After a 2hr delay, we finally flew for 1hr, had awful turbulence on the way down, and got to Toronto only to find out there was no customer service desk. We missed our connection with Luftanza and had to fly Air Canada again. First off, we couldn't get on another flight until the next morning. Then the desk never called the hotel they gave us the voucher for, so when we showed up at midnight the hotel was fully booked and had no room for us. We had to fly into Heathrow instead of Gatwick (final destination was Brighton for an international conference). We missed the entire first day of the meeting and had to rent a car for 65 pounds each to take us to Brighton from Heathrow, finally arriving at our hotel by midnight. The customer service was non-existent for Air Canada. We literally are going to have to email them."

The worst was the HORRIBLE TINY ECON SEATS!!! Unless you are a child or a small woman/man, I would avoid this flight if at all possible. I have never been so uncomfortable on a flight, and I fly a dozen times a year for the last 25 years."

However, checking the monitors in the terminal showed the correct gate was B21, which is on the opposite end of the terminal. I don't know why Kayak had the wrong information on this. We barely made our connecting flight because our starting flight was over 30 minutes late, which was United's fault. This made rushing to the correct gate for our connecting flight all the more stressful. No time to stop at the bathrooms or pick up something to eat. Both United and Kayak let me down on getting back to Hartford. We arrived at the end of boarding with no room left for our bags in the overheads so we had to check them and pick them up at the carousel. A totally BAD flight experience."

Pros: "My trip started off with airplane problems from the beginning. From my flight being delayed multiple times by air china to the overly packed united to the confusion of the non updated confirmation numbers or the e-ticket number. Even on the day I left upon arriving to the airport my confirmation number they had just given me after all the prior problems still didn't work. Air china had mediocre food with okay entertainment except my headset jack on the TV was broke and I couldn't watch anything. On the last air china flight from Bejing to Bangkok. I couldn't even charge my phone, watch any entertainment and basically was just stuck with no WiFi. Justfly wouldn't compensate for the changes on their end and said I myself would have to ask the airlines for compensation which the.the airlines directed me no where for compensation or even to upgrade my seat. Now I'm finally in Thailand but I'm scared of my return."

We were hugely inconvenienced and missed our obligations with no offer of compensation. Then when we finally get on the plane they kick us off!!!!!!!!!! Now they are saying a 630 departure for a 2 pm flight. This is beyond acceptable and I am about to call the local news and am sending them video of your gross incompetence. I want to be contacted at 815-527-1935 immediately. My time is valuable and no part of this delay is acceptable. I want full flight vouchers for this debacle"

Pros: "Captain and crew were brilliant, kept passengers informed throughout as to the delays, as a result all passengers were patient and understanding. Not much more could have been done to improve the experience as the snow and conditions at Dublin airport were out of their hands."

Pros: "The price was unreal so I had to jump on this, I was able to get on and off with my backpack no problem. The flights were good, captains were very communicative about times, expectations and when turbulence was present."
Cons: "The check in had to be done in person because of the need to check my bag size, I felt a little insulted that I would have to be checked on my honesty. When I got to the check in it was like watching a special forces team measuring and prodding peoples bags to get them in to the little box even when the shapes were the reason they couldn't fit, not the size of the bags. I literally watched someone fit their bag and the attendant take it out and make it misshaped for the box and show how it didn't slide in. I had no issues with my luggage, but that sucked to watch happen to others. The food and drinks came about 10 minutes before the plane landed."

Pros: "There were extra seats due to few passengers. We were very timely in leaving and landing. The dinner was good. I had pasta with spinich and a red and white sause. Very tasty and hot. They came around with plenty of water. The ticket price was very reasonable."
Cons: "This flight was on United. So, there was no internet to purchase as the emails from Lufthansa claimed there would be. I woke up in the middle of the night and went to 3 open seats and laid across them. It was dark and I did not realize that I had moved to Economy Plus. The flight attendant told me that I should not have been there, that she could have charged me for the difference in the seat. Prior to this I felt pretty good about the flight. There was no reason for her to treat me that way. It was apparent that it was a mistake and not done purposely."

High price ticket, then 25$ to check a bag, they give you direct tv as a preview and then make you pay to watch TV, pay for internet, want something other then pretzels, you have to pay for that too. Next up you will charge for our air conditioners to work which by the way they didn't. I have never been so uncomfortable on a flight in my life. Couldn't even bend down to get something under my seat because of the lack of space between rows. Also the air conditioner was extremely warm and the pressure of the air did not reach the seat. I was sticking to the chair because it was so warm. It just sucks that air travel has gone the way of every other industry that values quantity over quality."

Pros: "The flight from Frankfurt to Chicago arrived late, had to collect bags and clear customs which delayed transfer, had to go from one end of the airport to the other on a train which operated very slow which delayed transfer, had to then clear TSA security checks which were very slow and again delayed transfer. Moving at the max speed we were capable of, we arrived at the opposite end of the airport too late to board and were left behind. United was not very sympathetic, although provided ticket for next morning flight. The entire experience was very disappointing following what was a decent tour of Italy."

Cons: "Though not the fault of the crew or airlines, we were delayed almost 90 minutes because a parent took their toddler into the lavatory while at the gate and they messed it up and plugged the toilet with paper towels and/or pampers. This was after I had a 8-1/2 hour flight from Copenhagen, Denmark. Also, the seat space and amenities are so inferior to international flights. The narrowness of the seat and closeness of the rows makes it hard to be comfortable. After being treated to two meals on the international flight, one small two-inch bag of snack mix is almost pointless."

Cons: "Such a downgrade from other airlines! Awful! They board backwards. Usually the back seats board on the plane after the special needs people. Makes more sense, people are out of the way. My water was poured into a cup from a big water battle. I like how Jetblue gives me a personal water bottle and a variety of snack option. I was given a "snack mix" on this flight which was not good. I hated this flight and there were NO televisions, or usb ports to charge phones. Never again. They didn't even have enough room for carry on bags for everyone. Thank god I packed light and didn't need to use that option. Good to know United Airlines has crappy everything."

Cons: "I didn't like the fact that my husband and i had one option only and that was Indian vegan vegetarian dish. We were told that's all there was left. We gave back our tray. I don't mind going without food for a flight but my husband had surgery die to diverticulitis and can only eat certain food. The flight attendant said that she was going to check if there is anything left in first class but it took for ever and I become impatient as the light were turned off and people were getting ready to sleep. So I switch on the light and another flight attendant came by. I explained the situation but she came back with the same Indian vegetarian dish we turned away. After more frustration and explanation the Stewart came with the. Hi Ken version. I gave my husband my share and he was able to finally take his medication and eat the chicken with the bread. I only ate the ice cream and had a glass of wine. Later on the first flight attendant who served us the meal came with a couple of oranges and a bag of chips. Saying she got this from first class. I kept the oranges and gave her back the chips. Floghing with United is very disappointing to put it mildly."

Cons: "My itinerary said I fly on Brussels Airlines on a specific flight number. I went to the international terminal to discover it is not there. I then asked multiple aiport staff members if they heard of Brussels Airlines and they said they did not. One person said it may be terminal 1, so I went there based on very little information and with hopes it would be there. I got to terminal 1 to discover there is no Brussels Airlines. I walked to Lufthansa because my return flight is through them, but it was not there either. At this point I have 45 min to make it through security and board, and no one can tell me where Brussels Airlines is. The good news is the flight was delayed, and I got an email from United Airlines with the flight status. This is the first time I was contacted by United and there was a completly different flight number than the itinerary. United should be more clear on the airline and terminal information for international flights!"

(shrieking baby temper-tantrums, service dogs, and people allergic to service dogs included) Even while dealing with the most self-entitled, disappointingly inconsiderate individuals, the flight attendants kept their composure and remained understanding, professional and accomadating. As for that rude, pompous pig of a woman up in front.. try and remember we're all human here and you should attempt to treat others like so. I can't imagine the staff being particularly fond of the idea of spending an hour delay with your continuous, huffy bitching in their ear. (as if they have any control over the situation"
Cons: "Me and my boyfriend's seats were separated on both flights.. apparently it was in the fine print.. I don't know :/ kind of sleasey, kind of lame. Be transparent. Luckily, met a great guy who had no issues switching! :)"

Cons: "We reserved wheelchair assistance prior to the flight. We had to wait an extended amount of time to actually get the wheelchair assistance with 5 kids 7 and under. Due to the wait we almost missed our flight, we were literally the last to board the plane. We were hoping to grab some breakfast for the kids as we had a long flight and did not have time to do so because of this delay. This is why we called ahead to reserve the wheelchair. The people checking in did not seem to care about the delay and only told us to be patient. Sad, unfortunate experience with accessibility issues."

Cons: "United only had one person working to check people in, and due to a lady with 8+ bags that the only agent had to take 20+ minutes with (while the line stacked up behind us), we ended up missing the first leg of our flight. Told us our bags would be checked all the way through, and they weren't. Checked bag got lost on the way back (again, due to misinformation from United on whether our bag would be checked all the way through), and when we got them back they had obviously been rooted through, with no note left by TSA. I fly often, and this was one of the worst flying experiences of my life."

Cons: "I've only flown with United for four flights. And of those four flights they have been delayed for three of them. To be specific about this flight, straight off the bat the flight was late due to a late arriving plane.. Understandable. Then to top it off they had no pilot. So then the 1.5 hour delay has now turned into a four hour wait. But I'm still waiting for the flight so the wait could be even longer yet. The airline should consider refunding everyone's money on this flight. An hour delay is one thing, but four hours is uncalled for. Never flying with United again."

Cons: "Delay and then having to change gates - at O"Hare that means walking and walking some more !! After being insulted during check in. The RUDE woman (poor English) with assisted boarding then the RUDE man that changed my name and my luggage he chose to send to Dayton OH -never been there in my life and he "dug" thru my luggage - as if he was searching for MONEY or GOLD -he pulled out a protein drink and I asked him to hand that to me so I could drink it as I am a diabetic - he shouted at me "I THROW AWAY'. During the two hour delay I could have used it !! Poor service I will fly American from now on !!!!!!!!!!!"

Pros: "Crew staff went out of his way to find something for my aisle to snack on when the person next to me asked if there was any snacks on the plane. The plane had to be changed for another plane due to a mechanical issue on the first plane, and the new plane had not been stocked with food after it's previous flight, yet the crew member was able to scrounge up some snacks for us! Also got complimentary directtv - nice, but doesn't make up for not getting home in time yet again."
Cons: "United sucks. I have flown it maybe 10-12 times in the past 2.5 years, mostly back and forth between Chicago and Boston. I have had only 3 round trip flights go without a hitch. Every other trip was delayed. This time 4 hours on my return flight to Boston due to a plane switch, boarding of a new plane to discover a mechanical issue, deboarding, waiting for a new plane, then boarding and sitting on the ground for another 40 min before we were able to take off. I was delayed 1.5 hours on the way to Chicago due to another plane swap (no joke). Still doesn't top but my worst 5 hour delay in Chicago on the way back to Boston because the captain didn't show up. United is atrocious and is my last choice or any airline. Only fly when I'm absolutely forced to now due to no other reasonable choices. They are below delta, JetBlue, American, southwest, and embarrassingly, spirit as well. Terrible."

Cons: "We were connecting to this flight after flying in from Rome. Initially we were scheduled for an 8:30pm flight, but after landing early asked if we could change to an earlier flight. They graciously bumped us up to a 7:30pm flight, which trimmed our 4-hour layover down to 3pm. Cut to 6:15pm...we find out that the flight is not delayed AN HOUR due to a "late inbound flight." Long story short, the 7:30pm flight ended up departed later than the 8:30pm flight we were originally scheduled on so we didn't get to LA until after we were originally supposed to!!"

Cons: "While happy to have pilots concerned about my safety, it was frustrating to suffer thru 2 different mechanical delays. The first one was a missing rivet - which turned out to be so bad they had to put Us in a different plane. Then, that plane developed some mechanical/software issues as we were taxing. My 3-hour flight turned into a +5.5 HR endeavor. When you are on 2 broken planes in a row with the same airline you start to to wonder about how well they are maintaining their equipment. I feel like I deserve more than a "sorry" for the use of my extra time, but no credit or flight certificate was forthcoming."

Cons: "I was seated in a window seat and another woman my size about 110 pounds was seated in the aisle however there was a 400+ pound man sitting in a middle seat which made it very difficult for me especially to even sit back because it was touching me the whole time when you have somebody of that size You should make sure they are on and I'll because then the find attendance would have some difficulty getting through instead of your passengers being inconvenienced either that or force people of that size to take two seats"

Pros: "First of all, the crew was amazing. I had just been traveling for about 20 hours and I had a seat towards the back of the economy section. After traveling that long, I was getting antsy to be at my destination, and I asked the gate agent if she could bump me to a row towards the front of economy- thankfully the plane wasn't full, and she was able to! It's the little things like that, that are what make me fly United. Also, the cabin crew on the flight was great! Of course, the economy section of the plane wasn't an ideal amount of space, but come on- it was an hour flight, and they did a good job of trying to spread people out so that the rows weren't packed."
Cons: "Boarding took a little longer because the plane was being cleaned. I believe they said the overnight flight got in a little late and they still had to clean the plane. We boarded late, but still got to our destination early. Negative turned into a positive- you can't beat that!"

Cons: "Flight was delayed for 40 minutes because of "paperwork" according to the pilot. We boarded the plane on time however had to sit on it during the delay. We were not informed of what was going on until we had already been waiting for 30 minutes. When they informed us of the delay they offered everyone free direct TV in flight to make up for the delay. Once we finally took off they announced that the direct TV was not actually working. The flight attendant making the announcements was not sincere and rather unprofessional. Luckily the pilot flew fast so we ended up arriving only 10 minutes late."

Pros: "We received a free video service for the flight"
Cons: "First of all the flight was booked for a plane which was too large to land in Providence. So either way we were going to have a longer day and extra leg.....which I only paid for ONE plane change. After running to the gate because my first flight was late taking off, this flight was delayed due to engine issues. The agent had us standing in line for 1 1/2 hours while she tried to figure out what was going on. So instead of taking off at 5:40 pm, we took off at 9 pm and still had to catch a bus from Boston to Providence...HORRIBLE Flight = Long Day/Night"

Pros: "The fact that you serve a small complimentary drink and snack on such a short flight was extremely appreciated. It seems most airlines either won't serve on a short flight or charge you extra. Also, I absolutely love the new seats on the planes you guys have been using for quite a while now. They're much more sleek/minimalist so they don't take up as much room. As a disabled person, the bulky seats still employed by many planes on other airlines are incredibly hard on me getting in and out of the seat isles. The crew was very efficient and kind. I also appreciate the thank you to military personnel that they announced at the end of the flight."
Cons: "My gate was moved a few minutes prior to scheduled boarding. It was a minor inconvenience. Flight was a bit late getting out, but still arrived at designated time. Complimentary Wifi would be pretty nice, but not expected."

Cons: "Lack of communication. Kept us belted down for s very long time. Lacked food service, lacked water service till the very end of the lock down. Then we were given the option to leave the plane as the doors were to be disarmed. But if we did the plane could get clearence and leave with no warning. I missed my connecting transportation, had to scrape my weekend plans, currently searching for a place to stay tonight while they locate my bag. I am cold and left my jacket in my bag. The United counter people are blaming it on the weather. I am sure everything was delayed by the laxadaysical baggage loader. The one person ( or lack of help loading the bags on the plane completely altered my travel plans. I requested assistance for hotel only to be told they are full when in fact several are vacant on the Internet. I should of videotaped the baggage loading in Canada, it would of went viral."

Cons: "You sold me a ticket on Lufthansa. When I got to Charles De Gaulle airport in Paris I waited 45 minutes in line to check in with Lufthansa. When I got to the counter they said they had no record of my reservation. When I showed them the Lufthansa reservation they told me it actually was for a United flight, even though it clearly said Lufthansa . I had to wait another 45 minutes in the United line to retrieve my boarding pass, then about another hour to go through passport control and security. I barely made my flight. I will never make a reservation through Kayak again. I am deleting your app."

Cons: "-The 767 was old. -It did not have any power ports for my laptop or cell phone. -The interior was old and dated, reminiscent of the 1980's. -The TV screen for entertainment seemed to be smaller than a Samsung Note 5. -The seats are unreasonably narrow and not comfortable. -I had an isle seat and my shoulder width is literally wider than the seats. -Every time the isle cart went by, it hit my left shoulder. -The seats in general seating are too small and were cramped. -God forbid if we had to egress out of the plane. -There were no adjustable head rests, like other airlines have. -The Flight Attendant for my section DID NOT make me feel like I was a valued customer, even though I paid over $1500 for flight. -She scolded me for asking "Why," when she TOLD me that I needed to sit in one seat, even though the seat next to me was vacant. She literally treated me like a child. - NOT COOL. Overall, in comparison to my last international flight, I WOULD NOT recommend United. I feel like I paid too much for my experience with United. Aer Lingus has better/newer aircraft, better cabin crew, better entertainment selections to include music and a selection of movies to watch at your convenience, more comfortable seats, provide a better environment, and a better value for your experience. Aer Lingus was also cheaper. So if you are reading this, please shop around if you are considering United to fly."

Pros: "The crew were excellent. They made up for the hassle of changing terminals at the last minute."
Cons: "When all of the passengers and crew are at the listed gate well before boarding and the gate is changed to a different terminal it adds a lot of stress to the situation. To the crews credit they did not let it effect their professional attitude. I was highly impressed by the employees of the airline to keep things on time and positive. Overall that made the difference between being a bad experience and becoming one of the best flight experiences I have had in years. This flight crew should be considered an example of how to treat customers well."

Pros: "Food - Free dinners even for economy class. Entertainment - Every seat has a TV that offers multiple languages and tons of blockbuster movies from a variety of genres. They also offer many television shows in multiple languages and genres and video games. Roomy- The seats are as non-roomy as any airplane. However, the flight attendants don't give you any trouble when you want to just get up and walk around and talk to people. It gives the plane a roomy atmosphere. You can go to spacier sections of the plane to hang out."

Pros: "Food - Free dinners even for economy class. Entertainment - Every seat has a TV that offers multiple languages and tons of blockbuster movies from a variety of genres. They also offer many television shows in multiple languages and genres and video games. Roomy- The seats are as non-roomy as any airplane. However, the flight attendants don't give you any trouble when you want to just get up and walk around and talk to people. It gives the plane a roomy atmosphere. You can go to spacier sections of the plane to hang out."

For a trip as long as going from Washington DC to BeiJing, they give you two dinners. Roominess - The seats are as cramped as any airline. It has two isles so it feels pretty roomy to get up and walk around. Friendly staff- They make american flight staffs look very rude."

Cons: "Our flight was severely delayed 6 hours from Heathrow, and that is where this horror story began. No one bothered to tell us anything. When we arrived in Beijing for our connection to Bangkok, we had to search out people for help, there was absolutely no one forthcoming with explanations. We were travelling as 2 friends, I was booked on one flight and my travelling companion on another 15 hours later! This only got changed when we explained that we both only had hand luggage! To then board the flight and sit on the tarmac, engines running, simply waiting, no explanations again!! Will we ever fly China Airways again?? If we could exchange our return flight tickets to that of another Star Alliance member we would."

Pros: "Entertainment was good quality, and had a good variety of games and movies. The food was also pretty good, and provided pretty good headphones."
Cons: "The plane departed 1 hour late, and arrived 1 hour 15 min late, and we barely made our connection on time. The crew gave full cups of drinks to the Chinese passengers, and half full cups to the people of other races. I was sitting in a row of 4 seats, and the person next to me couldn't get anything, so they asked me to get water for them. I asked for water for me, and tried to ask for water for the person next to me, but the crew member just ignored me. I asked her 6 times, and she just wouldn't pay attention to me, so the guy next to me didn't get water."

Pros: "I was surprised that there were tons of in flight entertainment to select from. Crew was also very nice"

Cons: "No power sockets to charge phones, Entertainment selection and functionality completely outdated, just managed to watch 1 movie before I gave up trying. The air hostess tried to help but mentioned that it’s just slow. During dinner service I asked for a second glass of wine with my meal but was refused as only 1 glass of beer or wine is allowed per passenger and flight, which I found very stingy as an airline and irritating from a customer care perspective."

Cons: "Transfer in Beijing gave only one hour between flights. Impossible to make with China's cumbersome security procedure. Why did they give us those flights? Told staff on plane that we had a tough connection. No communication or procedure to help make transfer. Got to the gate BEFORE flight was to take off but plane was uncoupled from ramp and NO STAFF present. Went to another Air China gate and could not get any help. No supervisors to help. Five people missed the connection. Had to wait over EIGHT hours for next flight and was offered NOTHING by way of compensation. Does not appear that Air Chine wants to live up to the country's status in the world. Very poor service."

Cons: "When I made my reservation the time to make my connecting flight in Beijing to Dulles (IAD) was 2 hr. Air China shortened the delay to 1 hr. We arrived on time but did not get off the plane until 12:00. They began boarding our connecting flight at 12:15. My husband needed the use of a wheelchair and with the help of the airport staff member we RAN through immigration (flew in from Hong Kong), had to go through security a second time, lost my iPad at security due to our rapid departure. We got to the flight at 12:30 and made it just in time to board. Our luggage could not be transferred in time and arrived the next day. This is just too difficult for people of any age to do...my husband and I are both in our 70s."

Cons: "We were so delayed—gate number didn’t show up until after we were to take off—missed connecting flight to HNL. They cited ‘weather’ for our missed connection but had never said anything about this in Hong Kong when we were waiting hours for our plane to arrive. We were told to get temporary visas so they could put us in a hotel that night. We found our way to the meeting place only to be told there were no more rooms. The worker was completely rude and just ignored us. We were stranded all night on the departure side, waiting to check in in the morning to a flight we weren’t even sure we were rerouted on. We were given 200 yen (which is nothing) and had to go thru Tokyo, and wait another half day to catch a connection to HNL. The whole trip took 36 hours instead of 16. I’ll never fly this airline again. Something similar happened to me flying China Eastern. Honestly avoid all Chinese airlines, unless you want to spend a lot of time arguing with people and at least 2-3 times the travel time. (Not to be confused with Taiwanese airlines like China Airlines which are much more dependable and hace way nicer everything.)"

One of the flight attendants then blamed me for it because Kayak had booked the connecting flights too closely. I was then shuttled downstairs to ground crew who were terse, uncommunicative, and downright mean. I ended up in a hotel and can only hope this last part of my flight gets better. I’m still in beijing as I write this. And no wi fi on the domestic or international legs of the flight. Primitive."

We were ask to go here and there without explanation and the hotel given does'nt deserve to.be even a 1star..a better than nothing hotel. Tired, hungry and very exhausted . No words can describe our frustrations. We deserve a refund if not at least a compensation for that very bad service experienced on that flight of Air China 880."

Cons: "The online service was not user friendly and slow. Our upgrade was said at departure it would be for the full flight and was Not. The staff would not speak English and refused to serve any drinks or snacks as I thought it would be normal. Our luggage was lost and did not arrive at our final destination til 2 days later. On the flight home we were told to wait till our transfer to upgrade and that was denied and said we needed to do it prior. I am beyond disappointed and will never fly with Air China again and the only recourse that was given was from the nice people in Japan that explained this happens all the time and provided a voucher for less than 100 US dollars. I will advise anyone in the future not to fly this airline and I would like this to be investigated."

Cons: "I was delayed by a connecting flight and there was no way to pre-check, notify the airline or get ahold of anyone to let this be known in advance. I tried customer service for airline, for travel agent etc. no way to get ahold of anyone. Thought I was there at the time of boarding, they would not let me board, because I was not within their 1 hour check in time so I missed the flight. Since connections to Korea are only once per day, I was delayed a full 24 hours and endured several more hardships that could have been easily avoided with some good customer service. Also, it was stifling hot inside the aircraft and the crew could not seem to help cool it off despite twice asking them to get me some air-flow."

Pros: "The crew were helpful and friendly throughout, trying to find out what we should do about missed connections during the flight, I was able to move to an empty exit seat (I'm 6'5") so the delay was relatively comfortable."

Cons: "no wifi entire flight! stuff force you to turn off device after take off, even phone in airplane mode and self entertaining and playing cards not allowed. very bad english makes comunication hard and almost impossible order food or drink... they just bring watever and arguing about results in ( sorry no engliss). film selection horrible, old movies and 90% chinese. flight attendand skipped warm food after salad. only after reminding food was given! 0 requests after take off or during food if want any drink. you need literally flag down attendant to get your drink. if ordered tea, attendant asking you milk and sugar, you respond yes, you get then only tea no sugar or milk. after that nobody comes! accent were made to chinise pasdengers, more food or snaks were given or more comfort provided."

Cons: "Tight seats through out the flights. I am a regular Tea person. When I asked for tea they give the Chinese green/jasmine tea. I don't think they have regular Lipton or Irish Tea. I ordered Hindu meal, for a airplane food it was OK, it could be better. Only thing travelers need to know, Beijing customs/security has long lines and their security check is intense in the transit for the carry on luggage especially after a long tired flight. For this reason I am having a second thought about flying Air China via Beijing. Also, they have random check before boarding."

Cons: "Things I didn't like: 1. Cannot use smartphones during the entirety of the flight: customers should be warned that smartphones are not allowed to be used during the entire flight. I would not of chosen this horrible airlines if I'd known. I would of gladly spent hundreds more on another airline to avoid this inconvenience. I saved games and movies I wanted to play onto my phone for my 20hr flight and learned from the flight attendant that phones usage was not permitted. What a waste. Plus their movie selections were very limited and a complete joke compared to American, Delta, Virgin, or JetBlue. 2. Food: HORRIBLE TASTING FOOD. Air China should be ashamed of themselves to represent "Chinese food" in this way. I found 3 out of 4 of my meals completely inedible and absolutely disgusting. 3. Most cramped seats I've ever flew in: These seats are just tests to see how much you can put up with flying."

Cons: "When my husband and I went to check in for our flight at the desk we had to wait very long time to get checked in. We noticed that one of the girls was in training, which is understandable but just inconvenient. We are both very patient people but this just made us nervous because our first flight on Air China to Japan on 10/26/17 was very delayed and caused us to have to literally run and still go through a rigorous security check. We were not rushed through the line even though we had nothing to do with our flight being delayed on our second leg. We then had to wait in another long line for security even after arriving into China on our flight back. There was also someone on board before take off with a medical problem and we could tell that some of the patrons started getting a bit aggressive or irritable. I don’t think the crew could’ve done much in that regard but wish the issue had been resolved a little quicker. I believe it was a 40 minute delay in take off."

Pros: "Complimentary Movies with headphones provided were a plus. Tenants on the first flight were nice and accommodated me being a vegetarian with out any frustration. But the transfer flight with AirChina was not too happy about it. Meals were provided. If you are not vegetarian or find out how to put your name on a special request sheet it should go smooth."
Cons: "Seats were very narrow and seat by window wouldn't recline like other window seats. (No I was not by the exit.) I am a vegetarian. And asked for no meat. They didn't have a my name in a special request list. The crew member did know how I would be asked to be put on the list. I had a transfer flight with Air china to Dubai. The crew members in that flight were very rude even when I told them during boarding and a crew member came across with the special request sheet. Still no one could tell me how to put my name down as a special request to avoid any further confusion."

Pros: "This leg of the trip was ok but, overall, my experience on Air China was deplorable. They overbooked a flight, booked us on a later flight, and charged us $500 for the new booking. Their argument was that they did not realize we already had our boarding passes when they rebooked us. What?! The entertainment is very dated and so it the aircraft. The only redeeming aspect of this flight was the food. It was really good. Oh... and there are no outlets on the plane, which is not typically on flights to Asia. They also lost half of the passengers luggage."

We ended up missing our connecting flight since the TSA had a long line, and even with the security letting us pass through, we did not make it to our gate. A group of people from the same flight with me had to wait 9 hours for the next flight to Los Angeles from Beijing. The WiFi at the airport was horrible. Can't even load simple Facebook messenger. We could not update our loved ones waiting for us at LAX."

Cons: "Our flight was delayed which caused us to miss our international connection. Flight attendants did not care, did not attempt to get us out faster, or put on a different flight. Asked for an announcement to be made on board or to be moved to seats closer to the front so we could get off the plane quicker, did not happen. Offboarded and sprinted across the airport for our international connection and was notified by gate attendents that the gate closed five minutes ago and that they could not let us on the plane. Meanwhile, the plane sat there for an additional 30 minutes while it fueled and waited for release from air traffic control. There were six travelers total stuck there in San Fran at that gate, all of us begging to be let on the plane to Beijing, the last one for over 24 hours. Zero compassion from staff at the the airline gate. They did not care about us and did not care about leaving their travelers stranded. Our total travel was Denver to Bangkok, 26 hours of travel including layovers in San Fran and Beijing. In San Fran (after missing the gate connection), we were rerouted us through Haiwaii and the customer service agent that did this reroute did not finish the reroute to our final destination. We got to Haiwaii and were stranded again, at the Air China service desk for four hours having to once again provide documentation of our initial travel plans to Bangkok, having them build a new itinerary to our final destination. Overall, 20 additional travel hours have been added to our itinerary, almost double our initial travel time. We have had to call and cancel pre-arranged bookings in Thailand as we are now missing two full days off our trip. I am absolutely disappointed and heart broken as I write this still stuck in the Beijing airport waiting another six hours to connect to Bangkok. My fiancé and I were traveling to Thailand to get married and have received no compassion from anyone at this airline to try and get us there. I am flat out disgusted by Air China."

Pros: "Food was good. and more leg room. Also gave you a pillow and blanket. Of course the flight to China was a much larger airplane a Boeing 747, where flight to Sfo was a 737-800 and a smaller Air bus. All my flights made it to destination on time. Or close to it. You should plan on at least 1&1/2 hours between transfers. SFO was under staffed at security long lines, and empty desks. Beijing & Soul airports had smaller lines. The Visa free transit at Beijing worked well."

Upon arriving at the ticketing counter at LAX, I was denied my boarding pass with the reason that I needed a transit visa. I did not need a transit visa as I hold a Malaysian passport. The ticketing agent was being unprofessional and told me to walk to the Eva air counter to purchase another ticket if I so desperately want to leave. I purchased a business class ticket and was being treated really rudely. I have contacted Air China customer service but they are not responsive or helpful in any way. I showed them the China embassy website stating that I do not need a transit visa and they called me the next day saying they are willing to reschedule my flight for another $700. I would like a full refund for the ticket I purchased. Thanks, Sue"

Cons: "Air China does not offer wifi on international flights. They also do not allow the use of cell phones during the entire flight, even if they are airplane mode. Their selection of movies was okay, but the archaic screen and audio system yielding a barely visible / audible mess that ruined the experience. The touch screen had lost most of its sensitivity and had to be operated by a remote that was falling apart. The inflight meal was absolutely revolting harkening back to the days when airline food was a complete joke. They only thing they really did right was not delaying the flight. I wasn't so lucky on my return flight..."

Pros: "more legroom than usual, and seats reclined more than average, making for a fairly comfortable flight. Entertainment options in English are somewhat limited."
Cons: "i ordered the special vegetarian meal, while my son had the standard meals. The special meal was plain rice with a bit of steamed greens, my son's meal was the same plus a bit of chicken. Not much food for such a long flight, and no snacks are offered, so we were both hungry. (and we are not big eaters) We had planned to purchase food in the airport (LAX) but all the lines were quite long and we ended up not having enough time. Will definitely plan on bringing food and snacks with us on the return flight."

Cons: "Lack of communication - our flight was supposed to land in Beijing but we were redirected to another airport due to bad weather. After we had parked at the terminal of our temporary airport, we were told to wait further instructions from flight crew and the control tower. After about 40 minutes the plane started going towards the runway without any warning to passengers who had started getting luggage down, opened contents of carry on baggage and luggage, etc. It was jarring to say the least and luckily no one got hurt. Additionally, our flight from Beijing to Vancouver, BC was delayed by 8 hours. None of the gate or airport agents could tell us why or provide any alternatives to those of us with connecting flights. Not only did they not provide information, one of the gate agents gave us the wrong information (the local time at arrival). We missed our connecting flight and incurred significant expenses (hotel and purchase of 4 additional one way tickets). For the reasons listed above I will never chose air china and strongly urge any listeners/readers to avoid them at all costs!"

Cons: "The airline booked but connector with 2 hours from landing. The initial flight was delayed taking off. I advised the airline attendant that we were not going to make our connector and if she could alert the connecting flight. She told me no and to just try to make it. We walked up to the gate to see my flight to the states backing away from the concourse. No one was at the gate. IT took 2 1/2 hours to get through immigration to the airline desk and for them to tell me the next flight is the following day. I eventually got on another airline to get home. There was NO HELP whatsoever to get through this process."

I was particularly surprised at their approach to any passenger who could potentially cause problems for the flight or other passengers. I'm American and to be frank, we are total jerks in flight. You tell an American to put away their mobile device and as soon as you turn your back they're back at it. Americans in general are unreasonable people. The flight attendants' approach to solving problems before they have an opportuniy to become problems was a sight to see, friendly, non-confrontational. They brought beverages around at regular intervals which was very comforting. Also, not only were blankets and pillows at every seat before takeoff, but they were fairly decent. Very comfortable. On a US carrier you can expect to be charged extra for any little thing, and so you don't even bother to ask for it. On Air China you don't have to worry about it."
Cons: "On this flight, nothing. No complaints whatsoever."

Cons: "Our 2am flight from Phuket was delayed 2 hours so we missed our connecting 14 hour flight from Beijing to NYC. Once our plane in Phuket was ready we were then shuttled group by group from the terminal to the plane on a bus which took about another hour, at 3 in the morning. There is zero concern for people missing their connecting flights or any mention of what to do if you do have a connection. The airline does not coordinate with its own connecting flight - how hard can this really be - which we missed by about 5 minutes. We could see the plane sitting on the tarmac still connected to the gate but yet we had to go through security and immigration multiple more times and pass through the funnels of the airport like cattle. We were then stuck in Beijing for another 5 hours before our 14 hour flight after already traveling for about 10 hours thanks to the Phuket ---> Beijing fiasco. Additionally, whatever they serve as meals on these flights should not be confused with actual food. Do better, people. Flying across the world is tough enough without your total lack of consideration for your passengers on these epically long flights."

We needed a wheel chair for him so we could race to our connection in Beijing.... they wouldn't give us one and kept bickering amongst themselves, so he had to walk on his crutches all the way to the gate... only to find out they changed the gate because our plane was broken. Only they didn't tell us that, they just kept saying... "you can't board". I could go on and on but I am still too exhausted from the experience."
