And one of the flight attendants was aloof and snappy."

Lightning forced the airport to shutdown, which was great, we had a chance to catch our flight, but we were stuck in the airplane, and we couldn't get to our gate until the all-clear. I know this is not Delta's fault, but they did arrive quite late on a flight that, according to them, would be early. They also never communicated to the other flight that there were several passengers catching that connection. So by the time we had ran to catch our connection they had closed the ramp. Lightning hit again, and they shutdown the airport once again, so the airplane was still at the gate for about an hour, and they did not allow the 20+ passengers to board that plane, which was right there. So frustrating. The only thing that saved it was that our new flight was the new airbus, and although it left an hour and a half later, the comfort level was phenomenal."

For being about to be on a 17 HOUR FLIGHT we should be ALLOWED to have our carry ons with us! We take carry ons for that reason! I had to argue and prove my case to the crew member to atleast keep 1 carry on with us. I thought that was an UNACCEPTABLE reason for us to check in a carry on luggage when we had a 17 hour travel time ahead of us. Not a happy costumer here."

On my short flight from Basel to Amsterdam, a young French speaking girl was concerned about how to manage getting to her next gate. The flight attendants talked to her and arranged for someone to take her there. On my longer flight from Amsterdam to New York City, there was a customer who was in distress about missing a previous flight and not making it to her connecting flight in New York. One of the flight attendants reassured her until she stopped crying and calmed down. That same flight attendant was always so positive and cheerful in all she did. The rest of the crew was top notch. This was my best experience flying in such a long time. Well done, KLM crews of flights 1984 and 0645 on July 10!"

Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating, great in-flight entertainment, although I have the go-go in-flight data/entertainment plan with t-mobile (highly recommended), the flight included a decent selection of movies, television programs, etc. The food far exceeded typical "airline quality," even for an international flight - and included a fabulous little snack box with locally sourced gourmet and specialty items such as chocolate from Belgium, fine cheeses from France, and crackers from England. Drinks = gratis, and crew was exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make flight as pleasant as possible."

Pros: "I flew in economy. 9+ hours from ORD to HEL. The seat was average size. We were provided with a pillow, blanket and headphones. I did not use the in-flight entertainment, which was on an LCD screen. It was warm, so i didn't use the blanket. I also brought a neck-pillow, which is vital on overnight flights. They served a full dinner shortly after takeoff: I had meat lasagna which wasn't that bad, along with corn, a roll w/ butter, two saltine crackers with decent cheese and a chocolate pudding. Upon waking, I ate the breakfast, which was scrambled eggs and two sausages and a roasted tomato, a roll with butter, fruit cup and orange juice, coffee on the side. All pretty good, it was nice to have a meal before deplaning in Helsinki and waiting to get through passport control. Attendants on this flight were quite friendly. Check-in was run very efficiently. No problems with luggage. All in all, a real bargain price, and I got more than I bargained for."

I planned my trip with more than enough time to make connection... Called about my travel insurance and found out it kicked in after 6 hour delay. I was not offered any compensation however I heard some passengers were given $7 food vouchers to be spent only in a small convenience store that was the only store open."

I paid extra for an exit seat that (bc the plane was so old) had cold air seeping in that even with 4 blankets on, a sweater, my jacket I was frozen the whole flight and caught a terrible cold that I have now had for a week."

Cons: "Our flight from Chicago to Paris was managed by Finnair, but flown through American Airlines. This was the second disappointing flight on American Airlines. Our first flight was repeatedly delayed over three hours and then canceled. Everyone had to take a new flight the next day on the same plane which was scheduled to be fixed that morning prior to departure. We boarded the plane 45 minutes late and then were informed that the part needed to fix the plan had just cleared customs. After another hour of waiting on the plane, we taxied to the runway and the returned to the gate because another part needed to be fixed on the plane. We waited another hour and a half on the plane before finally taking off. Upon our arrival at Chicago O'Hare, we waited on the tarmac for 30 minutes before the ground crew parked our plane. Which brings me to this flight from Chicago O'Hare to Charles de Gaulle in Paris. Our flight was delayed for maintenance repeatedly for 2 hours and then a new plane had to be brought over. By the time we boarded we were almost four hours behind schedule due to a logbook problem once we boarded the new plane. The plane itself was small - the size of a domestic flight - and VERY cramped. On both of the flights we had no TVs in the headrest. This is something that I have always had in economy class on international flights. It was by far the most uncomfortable flight I have ever been on. Because of the delay, we had to reschedule one of our two connecting flights. I was assured that our bags would still arrive at our final destination. When we finally reached our final destination, we found out that our bags had been lost along the way - most likely because of the flight being rescheduled."
Cons: "International flight delayed 2 hours for multiple mechanical issues. 45 minutes before boarding, we were given a $20 voucher for food and drink (which we couldn't spend on snacks, just big meals, which was undesirable so late at night). Flight itself played Mission Impossible 4, then a kid's cartoon, then nothing the remaining 5 hours. Very uncomfortable for those who can't sleep on planes."
Pros: "The staff were incredible and helpful. The entertainment made the flight go much faster. The airplane was comfortable and clean. Great flight"
Cons: "The passengers next to me smelled severely of body odor. I know that this isn't something the flight crew can do anything about but it made my flight really uncomfortable. Thankfully the seat next to me opened. So I loved a seat away- but even that couldn't mask the smell!"

Cons: "I regularly fly between Chicago and London and dread having to get on AA90. The planes are ridiculously old with barely any legroom and no seat-back entertainment. On this occasion, my friend sitting next to me, who is 5'10" had his knees right up against the seat in front. When the passengers in front reclined it was almost impossible to get comfortable. There is no seat-back entertainment. For some this may not be a big deal, what with iPads and other devices, but it speaks to AA's failure to consider it's customers comfort and ease on long-haul flights."

I have my ticket receipt but who keeps their paper boarding pass these days? Hope my photo of the gate details suffices for my boarding pass."

Very slow in the food service, often times rude and lound when addressing passengers, and failed to clean the restrooms in flight, which left them in dire state and smelled. An unusually unpleasant set of attendants, and sadly not one of them made up for the lack of professionalism the others showed. No priority boarding, they proceeded with boarding the first half of passengers all at once so rather confusing."

It was only compounded by the fact that when we were landing, another attendant insisted I put seat completely upright, and when I told her it had been broken the entire trip, she began forcefully shoving my seat. Not awesome."
Cons: "Food was pretty atrocious. Before having this flight I tried many times to book a special meal but their website is nearly impossible to use. So on the flight I was given two options of fish or mexican beef. Mexican beef meant slow cooked beef in a salty brown sauce with 2 kidney beans. Yes 2 kidney beans. With potatoes carrots and broccoli. Entertainment was pretty lacking. Not a lot of options. Also it was freezing the entire flight."

Cons: "Late leaving, when boarding in CPH had to wait in extremely hot area once past the desk where our boarding passes were scanned and then the area where we had to queue just prior to boarding the plane was glass and therefore extremely hot. The worst issue was that there was one family with extremely loud children with the parents doing nothing. I saw a steward way up the plane looking down at them at one stage while serving another passenger but she did nothing. I like children but this was constant with the father actually encouraging the children to make more noise once he realised that other passengers were annoyed. There were plenty of other children on the plane who were behaving. Although SAS staff were aware of this they did nothing to ensure the comfort of the other passengers. One friend of mine stood for about 40 minutes at the back of the plane and another for about 20 minutes to get away from this constant noise as it was so loud and persistent. I had to listen to music to block it out.SAS staff should have intervened because this was very loud and as I have said constant i.e. every few seconds for most of the flight."
Cons: "Flight to Stockholm was cancelled. SAS Provided no informaton on the steps for re-scheduling my flight. I had to call the SAS headquarters in Stockholm before receiving any guidance on what to do next. All service attendants ditched the ticketing desk leaving one poor employee to answer questions for over 70 disgruntled passengers. Very very very poor communication. Luckily I was finally able to book a flight using another airline after waiting on hold for 20 minutes with the regional customer service provider."

Cons: "Cramped in a tiny seat behind someone well over 6’5 who kept slamming his seat back to get more room. We were later diverted for a person on the flight who had health issues all the way back to Canada when we were practically over Ireland. We flew back I believe an hour and a half back only to not have proper fuel equipment which took fueling forever and caused our crew to go past their duty day which made use get diverted again to Iceland for a new crew and even more gas. We were held on the plane for a total of 8 additional hours! We were never allowed to get off the plane, we were given very minimal food and drink the additional 8 hours, and when my girlfriend asked what was going on your information person in Copenhagen said they had no idea what was going on with my Flight and had no idea where it was."

I got a headache from it. Throughout the process the entertainment units were disabled, when they could have helped distract passengers from this ordeal. The food was disgusting. When the Danish government has repatedly bailed out SAS, it would make a lot more sense for everyone involved to have higher quality Danish products on board for the meals, especially for such things as dairy products."

Then there was a dinner- not bad at all-, a snack later on, and breakfast too, all included. Headphones if you needed them ( lifesaver there as I had temporary misplaced mine), a blanket, and a pillow. The crew was really polite, and there was never more than one person in line for the bathroom."

My friends booked with Expedia the exact itinerary and were able to reach a human and we're told that SAS always reimburses for cancellations. I finally emailed vayamas/kayak to cancel and 5 days later received a reply that there was no cancellation refund. Apparently Kayak provides a no communication/no refund policy. My travel companion had the opposite experience with Expedia."

Your airline rebooked me for a flight the next day that ended up having air filter problems. I lost 3 days of vacation from the 10 total I get a year and from the 8 I had taken for my vacation."

Cons: "My long haul flight was delayed by two hours and ten minutes. I only had 2 hours and twenty minutes between flights at CPH. When we landed, we were assured our flight would be held. I got off my first SAS flight with 15 minutes to make it to a gate 20 minutes away. I will point out I was going to another SAS flight. I booked it, even running when I could. My flight took off without me even though I was only three minutes late and had been assured the flight would be held. At least 12 other people were in the same boat. My rescheduled flight had me do yet another layover and I arrived in Warsaw a full 6 hours late. All because SAS was incompetent to hold their flight for a few minutes."

I have flown on many airlines and the service on Aer Lingus rates the highest for passenger satisfaction. Look forward to flying them again. Thank you!"

Cons: "Loading for departure was almost 45 minutes late. The plane had been at the gate for at least 3 hours. Many varying excuses were given. Once boarding started, it was stopped again for mechanical problems with the plane. Each announcement assured us that no one would miss connections in Dublin!! Plane was loaded and doors were closed and secured....then we sat in the plane for over an hour without moving. Still experiencing mechanical problems. Now there was no way to get off or rebook a flight. The ENTERTAINMENT system did NOT work on the plane!! Landing in Dublin we were told to see agent at the gate if we missed our connecting flight to get info on our re directed connection. If we had not been rebooked, go to a room off the baggage area to be rebooked and then get our baggage. There was no one at the gate, the person in the room that we were directed to could not do anything, the baggage carousel broke down twice and our luggage was diverted to a different carousel with no indication that it had been moved. We had to go thru customs and go down to be re ticketed for a different flight. We waited in a long line for a hour to try to get a new flight to Hamburg. There was another 2 flights that could get us to Hamburg in time to make it to our destination But the Aer Lingus did not have a reciprocal agreement with that airline. Aer Lingus could NOT get us to Hamburg in time for us to make our connection there! The Aer Lingus agent told us that her only job was to get us to Hamburg and nothing more! Anything beyond that was our problem. We missed our 10 cruise because of the excessive delays, excuses and incorrect information given by your agents!!!! We are seasoned travelers and have never experienced such terrible service! Our trip back to the States from Dublin with Aer Lingus was just as terrible! Communication is NOT one of their strong points. We were boarded on he plane and sat for an hour and a half before asked to de board the plane. The plane had been damaged by the skywalk. We were told that food vouchers would be given for lunch and that we were not allowed to leave that wing of the terminal. It took 45 minutes for anyone to meet the passengers with the vouchers. These vouchers did not, in any way, cover the cost of a lunch. We were called to line up for boarding before most even had a chance to get in an order at the food counter. Everyone hurried to get in line and it was 3 hours later before we were allowed to board the plane!?! This does not make one want to fly again soon with this airline!"

Cons: "shitty airline shitty service from ...webjet?...who I got ticket through -- said they had my seats assigned. They didn't. totally inexplicable who i was dealing with...aer lingus operated by british airways. Aer lingus couldn't make seat assignmetns they said b/c it was BA. BA wouldn't deal with me. Someone else at aer lingus did deal with seats -- told me to straighten out at airport. Aer lingus at airport no help. Terrible"
Pros: "New plane which was good, a little cramped but all in all ok for overseas flight."
Cons: "Too much time spent with drinks, food, no choices, and duty free. I just want to sleep on overnight planes but activity and lights made it difficult for nearly two hours, I travel Southwest and Alaska in the US quite a bit, they take drink orders and then serve on tray. It works MUCH better. No tea/ coffee in am, third time that has happened, perhaps could offer it for self serve available in the galley until 30 minutes before landing."
Pros: "The service was wonderful ! I’m handicapped and I was treated very well!"
Pros: "The crew were friendly but one side of the plane received water, coffee & tea after the meal but the other side didn't until the last snack. Again, one side got a hot snack and then they ran out so the other side only got cookies in a package."
Cons: "Broken suitcase. I have traveled quite a bit with these hard sided suitcases over the past six years and witnessed some pretty rough handling. None of that caused any damage, so I am not sure what they did to break one down the entire length."

Cons: "The food was really bad, The breakfast sandwich they handed out would not have been fit for animals. Horrible!!!! The entertainment equipment on the aircraft was not working and my wife and I were not able to see a movie or anything. Not a good way to take a long flight. My seat was not working properly and was either all the way back or all the way up."
Pros: "Pleasant, courteous staff. Average room in economy. Less pressure and bustle at Dublin than bigger airports."
Cons: "Dodgy electronics, had to reset screen in headrest several times and never really worked. Sat 30 + mins in tarmac after landing waiting for a stand."

Pros: "You lost the suitcase I needed for the next 2 weeks of my last family vacation in Europe. When I called for an update after 2 days (the promised notification from you was not made) I was told it was found and would be brought by courier to my Airbnb. When I called again, I found out it had arrived in Frankfurt but I'd have to come back to the airport to retrieve it. I had to cancel some plans and inconvenience my family because of your inept handling of my personal property. Other people were in line at the service desk to report their luggage lost. I'm VERY upset. I will avoid Are Lingus and BA in the future. NO LEG ROOM! (Crying, wailing infants the whole 7 hour flight--not your fault, but no sleep for any of us unfortunate passengers)"

Cons: "The food was mediocre at best. No attempt to bring around water or other drinks between food to encourage hydration. When I went back to the galley to seek some water, all 3 attendants were asleep - 2 even had blankets over their heads! It did not seem like they were particularly into providing a pleasant experience for passengers."

Cons: "They lost my luggage. The young man at the,AL desk at Frankfort was tude,and dismissive. It is more than 24 hours later now and they have made no contact."
Cons: "The air conditioning on the plane flight from Chicago to Dublin was way too cold. I am was glad to have my winter clothes but I was still cold. Other than that the crew dis everything else to make the flight good."
Pros: "We were in coach, and it was crowded but not impossible. The space was clean; the crew relatively attentive; and the service as acceptable."
Cons: "The meal choices were extremely limited. For example, "breakfast" at the last hour leg of the trip from ORD to DUB consisted of a ham and cheese croissant ONLY-no options; no yogurt; no fruit; nothing. It was a "take it or leave it" proposition. Then, to add insult to injury, on the trip from Dublin to Barcelona, there was only "food for sale"! What is that about? I mean it's a four-hour flight; one might think that aside from Pringles and Kit-Kat bars some thought might have gone into the nutritional content of the "FOOD"!!! This was quite disappointing."

Cons: "Sleep was a huge challenge. Not one to travel often it was s surprise how little room there was when the passenger in the seat in front leaned her seat back. I was unable to sleep by resting my head forward in the drop down tray."
Cons: "Our luggage arrived in england sopping wet and reeking of beer. The contents are awful. We have tried frebeze and all manner of things and now it reeks of perfume muxed with beer. We have spent our first three days in england trying to find where ti clean sll our clothes and are afraid to pack in the smelly suitcas. Our holiday has lost three precious days trying ti remedy the results from Aer Lingus' actions. Person in front of us had seat all the way reclined into my husbands legs for the whole flight. TV too close to be able to look at any entertainment."
Cons: "The airport is a joke ! People couldn't be more rude ! Trying to print boarding pass was beyond difficult the staff was unaccomidating and there were 4 screaming babies for 6 hours straight ! Also we tried to change the flight and couldn't unless we pay over $400 !!! We will NEVER fly with you again"
