Passengers lining up to go before they should, bumping into each other, no info or corrections over the intercom. The gate agent yelling at people to move aside. Overall terrible gate agents and terrible set up. Flight crew was great though."

It turns out that there was a problem, attributed by one of the KLM staff that I talked with to "a communication problem between Delta and KLM." As a result, I was finally given a stand-by boarding pass. Since the flight was full, I was denied boarding. After hours of trying to figure this out, the KLM staff put me on a flight for the next day and organized a stay at an airport hotel. The KLM staff were very nice, but it seemed to take a very long time to figure this out. They also failed to note that the denial of boarding in the records, which caused a problem in my return flight. The upshot: I missed a follow-on flight to Budapest and had to pay a huge rebooking fee for that missed flight. I also missed a day of my vacation."

We left the gat late, then pilot said we would still be arriving half an hour early. We arrived about 45 minutes late, and that was a problem because our connecting flight was due to depart now in 15 minutes. Lightning forced the airport to shutdown, which was great, we had a chance to catch our flight, but we were stuck in the airplane, and we couldn't get to our gate until the all-clear. I know this is not Delta's fault, but they did arrive quite late on a flight that, according to them, would be early. They also never communicated to the other flight that there were several passengers catching that connection. So by the time we had ran to catch our connection they had closed the ramp. Lightning hit again, and they shutdown the airport once again, so the airplane was still at the gate for about an hour, and they did not allow the 20+ passengers to board that plane, which was right there. So frustrating. The only thing that saved it was that our new flight was the new airbus, and although it left an hour and a half later, the comfort level was phenomenal."

When I purchased my ticket, I was not aware at any point that I had to be checked in 45 minutes prior to the flight time. With any other airline I have ridden, I have never encountered such a rule. I was trying to make a flight home after driving into town to help a friend move and tried to check in online when I was 45 minutes out from the airport. The frontier app let me pay for my carry on (which, at the time of purchase, I had no idea that I would be charged for a carry on), but then wouldn't check me in. How is that ethical? Charge me for a carry on when checking in isn't even an option?? When I finally arrived at the airport, the Frontier staff was rude and unwilling to do anything to help me. No refunds, no options, nothing. I was told that I would need to pay a $99 re-booking fee and then pay for whatever additional costs would be to buy another flight. Had they helped me get my boarding pass, I would have made it to the gate and onto my flight. What a scam. It is complete bullshit to not be willing to work with your customers at all, especially if you want to retain business. Good luck with that, because you will not have my business or that of any of my friends and family after my experience yesterday."
